I have read this author’s work so I was fascinated to read this one. The tagline of the book attracted me the most. It’s “When coffee and poetry come together”. It’s a short read that can be read in few hours. And the book has unique most concept. I will briefly summarise the concept. I really liked the CONNOISSEURS written by the author. Because reading that only stole my heart. Those are the words and feelings about the book that is straight from the author’s heart. Coffee or tea is not just a beverage for people, it’s a feeling and love. The book has been divided into parts. Each part is filled with writing, poetries and verses. It’s the pure emotions and feelings from author’s side.
My favourite section was “espresso shots” because they are sweet and heart touching quotes that summarise the concept and most of them we can relate to our life situations. I felt that book has been little messy as the verses and writings are overlapping each other but overall writings are good that fills the lack in that part. I liked the vocabulary and language used by the author. I got to learn few new word definitely. Majority of verses and poems are written in free styles. I liked how author has stick to core concept, related to title, and by using metaphors, she has covered wide range of topics. That was quite brilliant. It’s quick, easy and refreshing read that gives you a whole new perspective just like my favourite cold coffee. Here are my favourite lines that will give you generalise idea about the writing style.

“Don't live to impress others. You don't need that kind of pressure in life.”

“I am unpredictable, frivolous, an instant, fleeting moment; To everybody around me, I may look like a constant.”

Title : Espresso Thoughts
Author : Rakhi Kapoor
Genre : Poetry

" Espresso Thoughts : When Coffee and Poetry Come Together" is not just a collection of poems. It is a cozy bundle of rejuvenating energy encompassing plenty of poetry and a few write-ups!
The book's been divided into 8 chapters, each with a warm fuzzy title (with coffee in it *-*).
It begins with an inspirational writeup of how the author's journey started in the world of writing and through her life experience we are made to understand how you've got to pick yourself up when you hit rock bottom and no one can do it for you except you. "You can take the horse to the river but you can't make it drink". Remember?
We are then introduced to some beautiful poetry ranging from one very different topic to another equally different one. Most are about love, faith, hope and never giving up.
There's a beautiful writeup on the Goddess Durga descending onto earth, in today's crime-filled world. I loved it to the core - it portrayed feminine energy , emotions and strength so delicately and expertly!
She's also penned some thoughtful quotes under a section called 'Espresso Shots' , some of which were quite refreshing.

Coming to the cons, the only thing, that was a bit thumbs-down for me was the fact that there was an overdose of 'coffee'. In my opinion, it was just unnecessary.

That said, I found the read quite a nice one. It was part entertainment, part self-help - a combination not so easy to find and I picked out quite a few motivational quotes and lines for my study desk!

Espresso Thoughts

It's a compilation of 8 short stories. The author has penned down her thoughts and experiences in the form of stories along with the companion of coffee with each of the story. As you can see from the very title of the story this book evokes the importance of emotions over a coffee. And if you're a coffee lover like me you will indulge with the stories in no time.

The stories contains elements like love, life lessons, festivities, fear, failures and many more things. Along with the stories the author has beautifully penned down several poems which you will fall in love with. This poems will form a space in your heart and you can feel the depth of it. After completion of every stories there is a dosage of qoutes which will make you motivated and boost your inspiration.

The cover of the book is so beautiful and it gives a good vibe, the title as mentioned is totally suits the storyline. The stories are engaging and thought provoking. It's a short read and one can finish it even in one to two sittings only. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Each of the stories will teach you some lesson and provides morals which is very essential what I feel in a story. Yes will definitely recommend this to every reader and also non reader.

Espresso Thoughts : When Coffee and Poetry Come Together by Rakhi Kapoor. This book is divided into 8 short stories about love, friendship, life, etc. There are a bunch of poems in between too. All these stories teach us something or the other and the poems really hit home.

I finished the book in no time as it's really short and easy to read with good descriptions and narration. The Espresso Shots at the end of every chapter is my favourite thing. It covers the entire chapter in short and one can go through them whenever they want. The cover and the title do complete justice to the book.

Overall, I liked this book and would recommend it to everyone.

Espresso Thoughts is a collection of 8 short stories interweaved with beautiful poetic stanzas. The stories touch upon different subjects like Love, Failure, Life, Festivals and so on!
The book has both Fictional and Real life stories with a substantial quantity of Takeaways.

Each chapter ends with a segment named Coffee Shots, which gives an insight to the important points covered in it, in bite - sized format! I really liked this idea which can be used to quickly recall the entire chapter.

The language of the book is lucid and never once did I found the book to be boring! I loved the entire concept of mixing Prose with Poetry in fair amounts making it an Interesting Read! This definitely is a book to be read at leisure while sipping Tea/Coffee! A Great pick for those who are looking for a light read!

The most amazing blend of poetry and prose. The most thrilling, mysterious, surprising, yet motivational book I've ever read. I fell in love with Rakhi mam's writings. Such great thoughts, the explanation, such candid life experiences turned all at once motivating and making sense. The best book to read anytime. I just love the concept of linking life to coffee and those espresso shots just leave me surprised everytime, that how can such simple words can hide such deep meanings. Simply wow! The perfect definition of LOVE I found here! This is a different happy world to live in. I took a good time to finish this one because honestly, I never wanted this book to end. I'm so surprised, I just can't stop smiling while I'm reading it. This book genuinely talks to you about YOU! Fabulous!

Synopsis - "Coffee was only a way of stealing time that should by rights belong to your slightly older self."
Espresso thought is made up of 8 Short stories with the essence of beautiful poetry in it. This is basically a poetry book but the Author enhances the book by plotting some short inspirational stories. The stories are based on Love, Failure, friendship, and more. The author expresses her views, her experiences in Espresso's thoughts. Each story is beautiful and meaningful in its own way. At the end of each chapter, there were Coffee shots that intensify the readers.

Review - Espresso Thought is another great book by the author Rakhi Kapoor. This one is the 5th book by the same author, now I think I became a huge fan of Rakhi by reading her all types of book. She seems to be a multi-writer for me by Writing Self-help books, books on pregnancy and healthy relationships, a fictional book, mythological, and now this one. Out of all, Espresso Thought is a Poetry book for all poetry lovers. I would like to thanks Rakhi for providing me with her copy and I really want to read all of your books and glad to embellish it on my shelf. I really appreciate her social work for providing the best for their readers. If anybody wants an inspirational book, you can found it on the stack of Rakhi, if you want a good guide/book for pregnancy, you can find it on the same stack, poetry book, fictional book, mythological fiction everything is present in the stack of Rakhi.

The title of the book is perfect for the content of the book. The author chooses a suitable title for the book which makes the readers more obsessed to pick the book.

The cover design of the book is beautiful and fascinating.

The language used by the author is simple and easy to understand with meaningful wordings.

The narration of the book is lucid with good pace, good intuition, and an intriguing plot.

Coffee, different people have different feelings with it; some enjoy is aroma, some others cherish it's variant taste (in my case it's Tea). In this book the author celebrates the various moods of life with her coffee.

The author begins with some prose and decorate it with the tunes of poetry. The first chapter enjoys the music of Life. In the second chapter author motives the readers to move away from the tunes of blues and discover the colour that shines us (individually). The third chapter begins with a sweet innocent love and explains the love, which is our strength. Navaratri is one of three most important festival in India, the fourth chapter author metaphorically commented the stand of a woman in today's society. In the fifth chapter the author encourages us to celebrate the kid in us, this chapter has the most beautiful poems and a special story of friendship between a 43 year old woman and a 9 year old kid. Life is a journey and in a journey we have happy moments, sad corners, fear, depression, pain, love all are part of our journey and in this track adventure adds spice to our joinery; in sixth chapter the author enjoys the thrill of adventure. What's a story without a villain and what's life without an enemy... In the seventh chapter the author reminds us about the negative energy around us. Last but not the least Death, yes this the end of our life but try to find solace before this accepts us.

This book is for all, if you enjoy short story - you will find simple yet beautiful stories in this book and of your a poetry lover don't miss this book... This book holds something for everyone.

PS - Two stories in this book touched my heart the handkerchief story and pratima-durga story.

Espresso thoughts by Rakhi Kapoor is a collection of thoughts, quotes, stories, verses & lessons.
Divided in 8 parts, each part contains some emotions & lessons. This is like how to deal with life. I can’t categories them because when we move from one to another they seems connected in a beautiful way. The formation is like:- short story, then verses & then some espresso shots which cover thoughts & quotes.
While reading this book I thought in our busy life a thinking space or time is necessary. According to this book that space can be created by a cup of coffee. The book's key element is to spend some time & discuss some small but effective ideas with oneself.
Book encloses thoughts on such words like gratitude, love, relationship, loneliness, happiness, workmanship, inner self, etc. In my opinion, the thoughts mentioned in this book can be experienced in our daily life.
The first part is short story section at the beginning of each part. My favorite one is based on Ma durga. In short, this story is about making decisions on right time. All the stories are interesting.
Then the verse part is also fascinating. Its approach is vast, covering life’s stages, lesson, making the right choices, taking decisions & some others with a joyful touch.
Another part is espresso shots. They are short & sweet lines with deep significance. They motivate, give positive vibes & give a satisfying feeling. All the content is beautifully arranged. I like this because after reading the story verses comes with a different emotion & then espresso shots with a lot of energy.
This book contains freshness of the coffee. The aftereffect of this book is the same as when someone sips that soothing beverage. Totally loved it.

"Life will pass us by, but let us not let the lile in it pass us by" - Rakhi Kapoor

It takes most of us a mid-life crisis to realise that we're not living the life we intended. Life is not something that can be postponed, it's something that requires attention at the moment. It takes some time to gain sight of our purpose and existence, that we spend most of our lives running towards a path that leads us directly to the grave and we forget to look around and cherish the beauty around the road. The author had mentioned this in her book: "What's the hurry? Don't be in such a rush to get buried"

This book had an impact on me. Every time I read the book, a smile naturally crept on my face. It was so beautifully written and the poetry was so simple, yet powerful. Every page in this book hit home, and I don't know if I will start applying everything in this book immediately, but I know that one day when i face my mid-life crisis this book will be a reminder.

The book is divided into eight parts, each one talking about an aspect of life and existence. The one thing connecting all the parts: coffee. The author's love for coffee has been highlighted in the book: at the end of each part there's a section called 'Espresso shots' , which is a summary of the poems written in that part in the form of phrases and quotes.

I would recommend every single person in their tweens and adulthood to read this book. It is a much needed refreshment.

Espresso thoughts, is a compilation of eight different short stories which revolves around the themes of life , love , friendship and other aspects which surrounds one's life. As titled, the book is a compilation of stories and with that author even had penned down her thoughts too. One would also find some really beautifully penned down poems in between the chapters.
.
Her life experiences shared and what she learnt through are mentioned in the book, she even had shared her thoughts on the incidents which helped her overcome the trough phase of her life.
All with it, to explain some dimensions, the author had quoted fictional stories too. That was a really interesting way to make a reader grasp the thoughts.Real life incidents and the fictional stories does help a reader get a crystal clear picture of what the author wants to convey.
.
Each chapter had a short Espresso Shots at the end, where one would find the summary, and a brief overview of the chapter, which I loved the most as they were really helpful and insightful.
As I went on reading the book, I was not all engaged in it, but got some eye-opening lessons too. This was my third book by the author. Not to forget, the amazing poems in between, which I enjoyed reading them and they were quite relatable. Writing style is lucid and flawless, along with good narration. I loved the last part of the book, which talked about life skills.Book is a short read and can be completed while you have your coffee.

Live your life like a connoisseur not only of beverages, art and other exotic things but also of life itself. Flourish Infinitely Always.

Unlike the books that are well planned and strategized, the book Espresso Thoughts is solely a work of heart. While reading the book, it felt like the author has jotted down all her emotions and thoughts in a book of 172 pages. The book has been divided into 8 parts each focusing on a value or emotion such as inner strength, love, gratitude, journey, time management etc. Each part comprises of write-ups, short stories and poetry based on that respective subject.
The book works well as a self help book. The phrases and poetry in the book are simple yet effective. The special add on in the book is the espresso shots, which are bulleted takeaways from each section. Technically speaking, poems in the book are all free style and they could have been more mature.
Overall the book is very uniquely drafted with a perfect blend of multiple literary elements. The cover of the book is truly attractive and the book promises to delve the readers in a contemplative mindset.
I am not a coffee person, yet the attractive title of each part did make me have cup of coffee. I recommend savouring each thought of this light read with each sip of coffee on a rainy day.

Unique & Excellent

I have read Rakhi Kapoor's books before this and she is a wonderful writer. So I definitely knew this book will be good, what I didn't know is how good it would be. It's definitely one of the best.

The book is so unique, I haven't read any book like this before. This book has 8 short stories about life, love, friendship. Every story is very progressive and very apt for our generation and the coming generation too ...Very modern short stories which kept me hooked till the very end.

The book is very unique in a sense that after every story, there are very interesting and well crafted poems and it doesn't end there it gets better after the poems comes the " Expresso shots" or should I say quick one liner which are intelligent, fun, thoughtful, expressive. One actually needs to read this book as I feel the review doesn't do justice to the book.

The best story I liked is about a little girl throwing pebbles in the water and is told off by a lady. In the end they both end up throwing pebbles together. How does the girl convince the lady to play with her, what is the moral of the story, Do we need to listen to elders always, Are elders always right?

Definitely a must read for all. Language is simple and the book is a quick read so just about anyone can read it.

Coffee is definitely my drink of choice and a good book is the perfect compliment! This book is a combination of poetry, prose and short stories. Its purpose is to provoke thought and to highlight our most extreme passions about life. I loved the stories in here. They were something that would happen in real life. Few stories were heart warming and touching and left me wanting more. It delves into emotional topics in such an honest and raw way with her poetry.

I've read her other books and her work is meaningful and will impact you. It's clear that she is an exceptional writer, but I can't say I enjoyed this more experimental material as much as i did the others. There were a few stand-out pieces, but the rest were just filler.

In this volume of stories there was a wide gamut of experiences and perceptions, and they are united in their honesty and good writing along with some beautiful texts in which she uses prose of deep poetic roots. My favourite one has to be Durga, it was a strong piece and i really enjoyed that one. So Overall this was a very quick read for me as I couldn't put it down once I picked it up. Fantastic job, I loved this book and would most definitely recommend it!

Espresso thoughts is a collection of 8 short stories with the aroma of coffee and the taste of sweet poems in between.
There are stories of failure, love, festivities, life lessons, innocence, ambitions and much more.
There's a very beautiful hidden message in every story and they've been very artistically penned down.

In between the stories there are doses of Poetry which ring an alluring Bell in the heart.
Every story is very simple yet elegant and it feels like there's a bond with the characters.
The language is very simple and comprehensible.
The narration is steady and flows through the pages.

The cover of the book is Beautiful, it's so gorgeous that it will make even a non coffee drinker to pick up this book and obviously a sip of coffee to accompany the writers emotions.
At the end of each chapter there are coffee shots which was such a delight to read that I went back again and again to read them.
The title couldn't have been better, because it's a cup of coffee that can solve everything.

I would definitely recommend this book to people who want to pick something light and amazing.

☕️One of a kind is the kind you are—
There is no one else like you in the universe. Don’t hide in the crowd
Don’t try so hard to fit in
Allow your light to shine.
Your spark is unique,
Let it start fireworks and light up the night sky…
The world will then watch with awe and celebrate you.

☕️Espresso thoughts: When Coffee and Poetry comes together, is a collection of 8 short stories along with coffee as a partner. The stories are fictional as well as based on the real events. Each story is interwined with delightful poetic lines. Basically these stories represent various important values of our life like friendship, love, kindness, humanity and many more.

Book Name: Expresso Thoughts

☕Expresso Thoughts: When Poetry and Coffee come Together is a book of 8 short stories written by Rakhi Kapoor. Each story have a central emotion of love, failture, freedom which makes every story unique and interesting. Every hidden emotion behind the story enhance the read.

🥂The cover page is very nice especially the fonts of the title matched through the emotions behind it. The good point is the language is very simple and clear which makes the story engaging. The narration is done very beautifully and the poem between the pages is fantastic. Each and every story has a message in it and it is worth reading.

💈The writer has brought a very subtle theme which is very difficult in short stories. If one loves to read a book with breathtaking poetries, this book is for you. The stories at some point is bit confusing but all the stories you read has a positive vibe behind it. The stories can be a little bit better.

🎗️With a cup of coffee, you can read a lot of poetry and engaging quotes which anyone will love. This is a great one time read. So pick this book and give it a try.

The Author Rakhi Kapoor has a niche for a different kind of writing, she may put a little fictional extract in her books but still, there won't be anything that you will feel is imaginative or out of place as everything just falls in place. This is the second of her book that I read and I absolutely enjoyed it like the first one.
Espresso thought is a collection of short stories and poems, there is no definitive set of pattern in writing, but everything syncs well beautifully and one is able to understand everything clearly . One of the best part of the book I espresso shots at various intervals of the book.
Espresso shots as she has named are kind of summary lines, but they are not confined only to the summary of the previous pages, rather there are so many thoughts, expressions and values that one must take care of.
This one is a must-read. Also If you haven't checked out The Horseshoe man by Rakhi Kapoor, and you are looking for a non-fiction read, you must read the same, its a beautiful story that she has shared of her husband and their journey together while he set his empire.

🍁~Rakhi Kapoor, Espresso Thoughts ~🍁
.
🍁This book is divided into 8 parts, each depicting various themes of life like love, ambitions, pain among the others. Each part comprises of either a personal account or a fictional story combined with short doses of poems.

🍁End of each part has a section called Espresso Shots, which I personally found the most interesting as it consists of various different quotes and sayings to sum up the entire part.

🍁The book has a rather unique style of writing as it is neither a complete poetry book nor a complete personal account but a mix of both which makes it quite interesting just like the title " when coffee and poetry come together''.

🍁The cover is beautiful and just by looking at it a coffee lover like me will go for it but other than that it is worth reading.

🍁If looking for a light read with a cup of your favourite beverage , this is a perfect choice. Writing is simple and makes you feel connected with the author.

"Live your life like a connoisseur not only of beverages, art and other exotic things but also of life itself."
.
'Espresso', this word is enough to catch my attention to go and read this book. And honestly, as much the taste of coffee never disappoints me this book too didn't disappoint me in any way. 'Espresso Thoughts' is a collection of 8 short stories (plus poems). The uniqueness about this book is that it's very well-blended book of poems and short stories with few life advice.
.
The themes that this book concentrates on are like how to make a come back after a set back, how to come out of your comfort zone and do something different, how to believe in your dreams, and being grateful to the good one's and many more.
.
I enjoyed reading this book. Most of the poems in this book are written in free verse format and also each of them carry beautiful meanings. Espresso Thoughts basically give the message of becoming a connoisseur of your life. As a connoisseur is an expert judge in matters of taste the author too wishes us to become a connoisseur of our life. To know and taste every experience. Even if it's a failure, it still has a lot to teach us.
.
Happy Reading!!

This book is the fourth book I'm reading from the author. Slowly and steadily, my heart is drifted to her writings and I really feel like she is changing into my favourite author. She has life in her words and every book of her is filled with true and remarkable emotions.

In this book, she says her feelings both in free verses and prose styled. It may be the treking in Nepal, or the story of her first book, or about her ever moving life or overweight, the author has her own originality in speech. Real stories never fail to touch our hearts, does they? At the end of each narration, she brings out a life lesson to be learnt by everyone.

'Care less for things, care more for people' is my favourite part in this book. The story of Tia and Arnav is so touchy and I loved it so much. It is too good to read poetry, stories and experiences in a book. It is certainly a book to be read by all!

The writing style is also simple as always that everyone could read it! So happy to read her books!

Caffeinated musings

Espresso Thoughts by Rakhi Kapoor is a compilation of caffeinated thoughts and musings on life.

The book consists of 8 parts - each one blending a different essence of life with coffee. Each chapter opens with musings from the author's life, then elucidating her feelings through poetry and finally ending the chapters with some espresso shots i.e some highlights.

This is my second book by the author and I have really come to enjoy her writing style. There is a certain leisurely touch to her narration that feels like having a conversation with her.

I liked how the author has communicated an assortment of thoughts by comparing it with the versatility of coffee.

However, the thing that bothered me a little bit were the erratic transitions from one subject to the other or one poetry to the other. For me, personally, the transitions were a bit too abrupt.
Other than that, I really enjoyed reading the book.

If you looking for something to read on a leisurely day with some significant learning, you can pick this one up.

Espresso Thoughts

This book is the collection of some beautiful motivational poems and short stories
Fighter, One, keep going, Expectations are and like this all poems I like much from this book. in every poem the author motivate us and boost our confidence.
Their are 8 short stories written in this book. The author wrote all the stories with the way of making coffee and its importance. The stories are about, love, dreams, self teaching, and about life lesson. In the stories author mention some person especially author which she liked. Every story teaches us interesting things. Author also wrote down some espresso notes of respective lessons at last of the lessons. The author mix a short story and some relative poems in each story.
The language of the stories is simple. The coffee cup picture from the book cover is too attractive. The title of the cover is too relative and nice. There are mention other books of author at the last of book. This is my first one from the author and I like it very much, want to read them.
Take this book with a cup of coffee and Enjoy reading.

I agreed on the book review as soon as I saw poetry associated with it. You all know how much I am low on reading and this book brought me back to my routine.

This is a collection of 8 short stories and the poetry collection at the end of each story. Other than that, let me specifically tell you that this book will provoke thoughts in your mind, not new ones but really important ones. You will find yourself relating to it. It will motivate you. In case you feel low in life or taken back, this book will help you boost a bit.

I loved the concept of 'espresso shots' at the end of each chapter/story. It gives you takeaways from the chapter and believes me they are gold and really motivating.

I must also say that the book completely justifies its cover, title, and subtitle that is the main point of attraction for readers.

However, I felt the writing style for the stories a little dull. It can definitely be improved to make them more enticing.

Overall, I'd recommend it if you are a beginner or want some weekend read
