Barbara first published in second grade with a poem and short story in Junior Scholastics Magazine. But her book series, Cassandra McGillicuddy’s Adventures in Outer Space, complete with stick figure drawings, was panned by her fourth-grade teacher. Well, Mrs. Atchison, look at her now—an award-winning and Amazon best-selling author.
Barbara also writes chuckle-inducing essays inspired by the quirks and oddities that bounce her way.
A Floridian transplanted from New York, Barbara admits to being dachshund-obsessed. The long dog occasionally shows up in her short stories, though more often on her sofa, bed, and lap.
