About the author

Yes The Queen IS HERE.. The author has outdone herself. Surprising me and all of Shades family and council. Not one, but two gifts. Unheard of in the coven. Kate can hold her own when fighting, giving orders to all and to Shade. I am soo entranced in this series. Couldn't stop reading, enthralled by all the Queen can do and the coven. How am I to wait on the next three books!!!! I want them now!!!! You have to read these books.

Such an amazing book three! I can't wait until book #4. I know what I will be doing all day and Night!! The mystery of Kate's abilities are revealed. But how powerful will she be to the Medici legacy? You will have to read to find out. You will continue to hate Rissa even more. Emily writes so you can't stand her, which makes it more believable!

I picked up this series, because I loved the book covers. I am happy to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I could not put the books down and they ended way to soon. This is not the type of series, you can just jump in from any book and think you will know what is happening. You must start with book One. I love the main characters, Shade Medici and Kate and their roller coaster journey. Book four comes out soon and it is already pre-ordered. If you love PNR, I highly recommend this series.

*Spoiler Potential*. Wow, the long awaited book 3 does not disappoint! And now I can’t wait for book 4! The amazing connection between Kate & Shade continues to grow even through some tough obstacles thrown in their path. They have the ultimate romance. The coronation scene is so cool and sweet following “the turning” in the last book. And I totally love the reveal of Kate’s “gift” of animalism. We should all be so lucky! A new heir to the Medici coven that has been long awaited by the vampire community; expansion of the Bel Rosso estate in Virginia and new plans for the California property; acquisition and remodeling of the Paris home; an intense battle between covens. This story has everything - love, romance, travel, history, a touch of politics, suspense...vampires living in both the mortal and immortal worlds. I love all the characters in this book and the author does a great job defining all of them and weaving them into this complex story.

This is the third book in this series. I absolutely love, love, love this series! Emily Bex will suck you’re into her world and you will never want to leave. If you like vampires, excitement, twists, turns and erotic scenes then you have got to read this series. Shade and Kate are a dynamic couple not to mention the rest of the familia. The Medici Queen is my favorite of the series so far. Expect the unexpected reading this book. The way that these books are written just makes the reader want to be a part of the world that she has created with hot males in leather and kick ass strong women! You will never want to put this book down!! You will not be disappointed!!

I have read book one and two and was blown away but book three is elevated to a new level. Shade and his new Queen Kate, his Belle Rosso, has many obstacles before them but with them their love stands strong. Old and new characters, those we love and those we hate all weave together in an exquisite blend of love, hate, jealousy, revenge, loss, sorrow and ultimately triumph. If you are going to read a book this month then do yourself a favour and pick up The Medici Queen and if you have not read book one The Blood Covenant or book two The Turning, then go and get them now. The Medici Queen is full of spectacular scenes and excitement! Once you start this book it will be incredibly hard to put it down. It’s chalk full of details on everything from love, hate, jealousy, deceit, and old endings to new beginnings ( I don’t want to give anything away). This paranormal is not your typical romance story. No, it’s filled with mystery that you’ll want to solve all the way to the end. A Top notch book that will curl your toes!

The storyline was entertaining and unpredictable. Well written with great characters and it had good action. Some secrets were reveal. It makes you want to know more about vampires. Great chemistry between Shade and Kate, This story draws the reader into their world of the characters life’s immediately. It has twists and turns, excitement. This story wraps up well. Overall, a good book, and I can't wait for the next one in the series!

Just wow!

What an incredibly good book and series! Very well written and so realistic you will believe in vampires! This book had me going from laughing out loud, to the edge of my seat in anticipation, then on to heart wrenching emotions, like a roller coaster! It's a wonderful love story full of action and surprises you don't see coming! I can't wait for the next book in this series! And I can't recommend this series enough! Absolutely wonderful!

First of all, The Medici Queen series, is absolute book crack. Once you start, you can not, and do not want it to end. This story is highly erotic, full of action, and romance. I've laughed and cried with all three books. this one hurt more though.

King Shade and Queen Kate’s book two

I am enjoying reading this series. However in this book and storyline, the hypocrisy of the featured couple Shade and Kate bothered me. Kate, even though she is immortal now still has not come around to accepting feeders as part of vampire culture. Really? I understand that she wants Shade and herself to be exclusive but since he can’t feed from her if she was pregnant or out on the battlefield; there must be exceptions for extreme situations. King Shade sowed some wild oats back in the day aka he has shared adult activities with most. Kate can’t dislike every other female that has experienced King Shade and his beast because frankly there are simply too many of them. I liked Jacks because she is a talented and highly sought after female warrior. Yes, Jacks has her own agenda and wants to show her strength and prowess to Master Alec due to some past events, not any other vampire. And even though Alec and Jacks sealed the protection contract with some adult activities didn’t bother me. According to the world building this is acceptable vampire behavior. Alec is a manipulative and vicious Alpha jerk and has been dallying since meeting him in book one. Alec and his mate Larissa live their own version of the master- sub life, plus they add other vampires to their adult activities. They have an open relationship for the sake of their world. So when Jacks comes to interview, we learn that her and Alec have a past relationship and enjoyed a past relationship. So why would King Shade and Kate be upset with Jacks and throw mad and harsh vibes her way and not to Alec at all? Alec just gets a side conversation of man, you should have done that outside of your house. Meanwhile Jacks is ousted. No way! I lost respect for Queen Kate because that was wrong that Jacks had to take the whole blame when it was both Alec and Jacks, plus Larissa knows that their relationship is an open one. She has enjoyed the open status too with Master Max in book two, multiple times. Read On!

5 stars. The coronation of Kate was perfect, I loved every minute of it. I loved how Shade’s parents show up in the Castello Castle when least expected. Kate has done so well since her turning, with bloodlust and learning all the new things she feels, sees and hears, I knew she would be amazing with her battle of becoming a newborn. The Counsel man is a total jerk, and it sounds like the entire Counsil is that way also. Shade holds his own against them and refuses to allow them to bully him or his Medici family. Kate is a perfect Queen, in my eyes. She is kind, loving, brutal when she has to be and can fight with everything she has for those she loves. We are introduced to Lorenzo, and I fell in love with him from the very beginning.

Alec and Rissa, omg, they both just irritate the crap out of me. They are both self-centered and care nothing about anything or anyone but their political and society rise in the human world and care nothing of stepping on anyone they don’t like or are in their way, including that person disappearing forever. Their wedding reception had a huge, unexpected surprise that affected them and Medici.

Luca and Shannon are okay but a little mushy and boring. There isn’t a lot about them so far in this book.

Max finally made his appearance after disappearing for a long while. He was not pleased that that Shade had built a warrior camp within his territory in Virginia which leads to a Council visit and a battle in which Shade and his warriors were very much lacking in warrior numbers. The battle was so intense that I could not stop reading until I finished this book.

I believe this is my favorite of all the book thus far and I am really hoping this series never ever ends!

This is another addition to the Vampire world of the Medici Warriors! This is book 3 and it is Explosive! Oh Gosh Miss Bex is bringing the soul of her world to life with every book! I am imploring you to pick up this series! you will become so absorbed within this world it is a treat to meet and get to know all these characters! There is a storyline that is underlying throughout the series and it is provides plenty of feels and emotions along the way while delving deeper into this world and the lives and loves of these characters! There will be questions and there will be emotions flying all over the range of emotions there is. You will be sucked into this story immediately. You will fight with every character and you will hate them and you will fall in love with them, well some of them. There will be some you just positively cannot like at all but that is the grandeur of this story! This author has created a world where not everything is as it seems and maybe you might better check yourself before beginning, because I am telling you now you should not expect the expected. Trust me this is a journey you want to take!

Well. I bought them as a bundle. So may as well keep going. The author is getting better at creating conflict and tension. The resolutions aren’t too satisfying, but there is definite improvement from the first book.
I think the villains are a little weak and Shade and Kate are just a little TOO blessed/lucky. Does Kate have ANY flaws? She’s so patient, and kind, and commanding, and quick learning. Even her weakness, her jealousy, is a non-issue when it really gets called on. I would have liked to have seen her succumb a bit to her character flaws before finding resolution with Shade regarding Max’s feeders.
And speaking of Max. He runs away with his tail between his legs way too often to be considered a real threat or a solid nemesis. He did it after the Rissa fiasco and after the battle.
