2.5 stars…

Wow. That was... a massive let down. Yikes.

There were a handful of chapters that delivered exactly what I signed up for and more... but most of them didn’t. Most of them left me groaning and dreading the next. I thought it was getting better halfway through, but that was a fluke.

Damn, that’s really disappointing. This is the first series in... possibly ever that I’ve followed so closely. I was there for the release of the second book, and eagerly awaited the release of this one. I had a damn reminder set for the date.

Let’s discuss what worked first, shall we?
- The side characters are still great. Eclipsa’s probably my favorite, but that’s a surprise to absolutely no one. Mack is a gem, though she does kinda fall into that generic “fiercely supportive bff” role. 150% rooting for her and Ash, though. I forgot how much Ruby gets on my nerves, but she’s got her charm.
- The romance, when we actually get to see it, still dazzles. That bathroom scene? I n c r e d i b l e.
- Valerian. He got more screen time and development in this one, and I really appreciated that. He’s what sucked me into this story in the first place.

That’s about it, I think.
Now for what didn’t work
- Summer. She’s so dense it’s painful, and all of her repeated defeats did the story no favors. For a failure to really matter, the protagonist has to put up a good fight. We have to believe they can succeed. Not once did I expect Summer to succeed, because she consistently proved foolish and incompetent. That was fine in book one, but I expected more growth by book three.
- The redemption. I’m okay with redeeming Inara and Hellborne, but this was just abrupt and lazy. We weren’t given enough time to be won over by them, and they quite frankly weren’t given enough reason to have a change of heart.
- The Darkling???? The big bad of three books is just burned up? Fr?? God, that ending was a mess.
- Val’s sister?????????? Randomly just- showing up???? Am I missing something here? I didn’t reread either of the first two books, so I’m too fuzzy on the details to grasp the significance of Summer seeing that flower in the cottage... assuming there even is any?? Someone, please explain what the hell even happened with that.
- Ruby. Yes, she’s listed twice because as amusing as she is, she needs a life coach or something. The number of times something goes wrong because of her lack of dependability is ridiculous.
- Are we gonna act like everyone’s chill with Summer and Val now? Wasn’t a Seelie and Unseelie match forbidden? Weren’t they gonna be too powerful, or whatever? Throw me a bone here, Grey.
- The romance. Another repeat BECAUSE THERE WASN’T BLOODY ENOUGH OF IT. C’MON NOW. THAT’S LITERALLY WHAT I CAME HERE FOR, BESTIE.

I really want to give this more than 2.5 stars, simply out of fondness for this series. But I won’t, because it doesn’t deserve more than that.

If we get a spin-off, I really hope it’s better than this. Even better if Eclipsa’s the focus. I would also settle for Mack and Ash, but I would prefer Eclipsa. That b has my whole heart.

An average finish to an outstanding series

You know the feeling you start off a race too strong and by the end your muscles are frozen and stiff and your body won’t listen and you basically feel like a pile of mush, hoping to get to the finish line.

That is how this series felt. Books one and two are fantastic but book three fell apart.

I hate giving a poor review to one of my favorite authors and favorite series (the first two books will always have a place in my heart) but I can’t lie either.

The great pacing completely stopped and the fun plot twists all but died in book three. It felt like the author simple ran out of steam for book three.

Would I recommend this series? Yes, because the first two are simply fantastic but I would warn all future readers that book three falls short; however, it’s still worth reading, because the world building is magical and the characters will capture your heart - like any great book.

I plan to read her future stuff because I recognize her talent and sometimes great authors make mistakes. I can’t wait to see what else she writes.

So this was a series I really remember enjoying. It wasn’t perfect, still I liked book 1 and 2 a lot, but it’s been a year since I’ve read them and now I don’t remember anything that happened. ^…^
(this was pre-goodreads)

I might consider giving it a reread, but otherwise not sure if I want to pick this up anymore.

I would like to start this by saying i am aware that this was supposed to be a 4 book series.
And having read this book now i can see why she didnt want to do 4 books.
I absolutly loved books 1 & 2, this book realy let it all down.

There are so many confusing parts in this book, I had to keep stoping and realy understand what i was reading. For example the first half of the book was so dragged on and on there realy was no point and then every second chapter Valerian is sacrificing himself and visa versa, Like come on it gets abit old.
Valerian is supposed to be so god damn powerful but he suddenly cant do anything to help summer like WHAT???
And Summers character is just so all over the place, one minute she is going to kill Hellbore(YAY) then the next its like she forgets what she is doing.
That ending like what was that???
Very dissappointing

The plot has many holes that really turn me off during my reading. For one, let’s talk about inconsistency. Like in the beginning of book 1, Summer learned that Fae’s real name is really hold power and no Fae should tell anyone about their name. BUT there’s literally no one beside the Winter Prince who doesn’t use their real name. Inara, Hellebore, Bane, Asher, Eclipsa, and every Fae in this series has use their name in front of everyone. I keep imagine maybe the author will use Valerian’s name at some point to create big problem but until the ending, this issue is just put aside. No big deal. So what’s the point?

My second disappointment factor: Mary Sue. Ck. Sometimes, if the author could presented her plot interesting, I could forget and forgive about Mary Sue’s type of main character and enjoy what the book offers. But on this series, Summer really annoyes me to the end. Suddenly she’s straight A’s student, turns out to the lost Fae Princess, got soulbonded with the Winter Prince, got engaged with another Prince, surrounded by great friends, her friends always thinking about her needs first, and so on, so on.

And now let’s talk about Ruby. On the first book she’s adorable small pixie, second book she’s continuing being funny and stole my attention. But my opinion on her on the third book: she’s a mess. This book tried to create a quirky supporting character but fail in my eyes. Yes, I’m aware Ruby is precious but she should know boundaries when things got messy. I’m tired of reading about her making problem worse for Summer and Summer always tone it down just because it’s Ruby.

Another issue I want to point out here: FAMILY. Summer’s human family. On the previous books, we always got Summer’s thought about her family and how important and close they are with each other. But hey, on this book we got really nothing about them. I understand there’s explanation why on the ending. But Summer, if you really claim that you close with your aunt and sibling, why I don’t see any real effort from your side to reach them? Instead Summer just being whiny whenever she’s trying to call them.

Lastly. The ending seems abrupt. I couldn’t believe about Inara and Hellebore redemption plot at all. That doesn’t make sense with their actions throughout the series. Anyone just can’t change their perspective and attitude 360 degrees suddenly. Just no.

A rather disappointing finale. Maybe because the original plan of this series would be four volumes but suddenly the author and publisher decided to end it on volume three. Story about magic and paranormal academy sprinkle with romance dust and friendship should be my weakness. But in the reality? This book can’t deliver its purpose.

Enjoyed it, but a letdown nonetheless. I was so invested in the characters on books 1 & 2; however, not so much this book. I felt like I was reading at a distance.

**To be honest, I'm not sure what people are classing as spoilers these days...I don't personally feel like I've let any loose, but I've seen a few comments around, that has me super cautious/nervous. So there could be potential spoilers, depending on your meaning of that. So I guess just be aware of that before reading.

Be prepared for the Ramble up ahead. It's no joke. No kidding. It's long lol.

Holy damn. I need a moment to wrap my mind around all this!! It's the second day after finishing this book and Daaaaannng I'm still not over this. It was AHHMAZING! But seriously one heck of an emotional spinner...like man, my emotions are all over the place. Just wow!

Audrey has destroyed my brain. Destroyed. My Brain. It not functioning. She broke it. That's how awesome she is. I haven't been able to read another book after finishing. Which isn't a good thing when I got arc's lined up. Who knew after reading Crimes of Magic this book would be the one to just make my reading hangover worse lol. Well, it is Audrey so it should've been a given. Stupid me. See broken brain.

So it not my fault if I don't make sense k? 😆

But seriously you gonna need to bring the tissues for this one. I tell you most of the time my heart was literally lodged in my throat. And multiple times was I seriously ready to throw my iPad. I settled for slamming it down instead. Man. dude. So many times I got choked up, which is basically akin to balling your eyes out.

Audrey is absolutely incredible at just getting inside your heart and making you feel 10 billion things...and I just. Even now my brain is short-circuiting. Just why are you so good at destroying my heart and rebuilding it? It's a superpower for sure. So readers just be prepared to be left questioning everything and wanting to know this ↓. Coz I know it was me. So have fun with the emotional rollercoaster that this book is.

I'd say try and prepare yourself for the torturous read ahead, but literally nothing can prepare you for all the places this book will take you. I gave up trying to repair the cracks that were being taken out on my heart...because it would've been about as productive as...

I could literally keep on going with how I'm left after finishing this final book. But no matter the hell she put us through...it was totally worth it...and guys you HAVE to read this book! Yes, your heart will hurt and it will be one hell of a ride...but it'll be worth it. I promise! Audrey doesn't disappoint in the ending. I just have one request...I need a story for Mack and lizard boy (as Eclipsa would say lol).

Usually, I'm one to try and work out where the plot is going. But Audrey made that literally impossible. Every time I thought I was on track...something would happen and I was like, nope...new direction. There were only a couple things that I worked out, and totally patted myself on the back for getting it right lol...the plot is just so unpredictable and I loved that. It had me so hooked. I couldn't put the book down. I just had to know all the things. And I couldn't wait a moment longer. So I was totally reading like I was training for the Olympics...(which makes me think that this should totally be a sport! Why isn't it?! It's just as much an adrenaline rush as any sport and can be just as exhausting...just sayin 🤷🏻‍♀️ - it's a valid point).

Once I reached the end, I may have been a wee bit exhausted and may have felt a bit like Stiles lol, but it was oh so worth it. 😁 I live for those moments when a book makes me feel so crazy invested, just like this one did.

I can't recall the amount of times I legit had to remind myself to breathe, because I was holding my breath and internally chewing all my fingernails. This book was so phenomenally done, that you are literally transported into the world and the crash coming back to reality...is bru-tal.

So while you guys are waiting on this book to be released on the 15th - in just 3 more days...I'm gonna be over here in a complete book hangover...and wondering how much chocolate, coffee and every other comfort thing, I can think of, that'll get me through the days ahead. Coz even though I loved how it ended...I just hate saying goodbye to my fav series...So, yeah, I'm gonna be dramatic if I wanna.

you can't persuade me to think otherwise

Whoops...I should probably talk a little about the plot. I got lost in my emotions just a wee bit. My bad. Okay. This is not going to be easy...but I got this.

So after Helle-douche exposed Summer as the Summer Princess, he claimed her as his own. A possession. Now Summer is caught in his deadly web. But not only his web but the power-hungry webs of all the courts. Summer may have thought she was beginning to understand the games of the Fae. But oh how wrong she was about that. Now it's time for the real games and tricksters to come out into the light. Feuds and blood-thirsty, power-hungry players are playing by no rules. And if Summer and her friends are to survive, she needs to expose Hellebore and recover the Darken's soulstone. Not asking much of them at all.

Couldn't be more accurate!!

Our girl has to join the game and try to outsmart the scarily cunning Fae. All while she has to find a new rhythm at the Academy. Being the first mortal fae princess definitely is causing a massive stir. And we know what that means. Summer is once again a target. But our girl is not going down without a fight. It's not in her nature. Her fight and determination, her light...is something I truly love about her character. She never stoops to their level but it doesn't mean she won't use her own smarts....the fight is now more important than ever. It's a fight to get her freedom back, a fight to save the human world and a fight to stay with her soulmate. But when at every turn they are tearing her apart, from a literal part of her soul, or trying to break them in one way or another...She's reaching her tipping point. Everyone is after the ultimate power and the stakes are as high as they get. It's a game of survival. One Summer hopes she can out cunning the ultimate tricksters.

yeah, that's how this story rolls, not even kidding

Every plan that is made, it seems that another Fae is like ten steps ahead. Sometimes it seriously felt like there were no more moves to make...and that just amped the story all the more for me. But it definitely didn't stop the freakouts. Obviously. But I guess we should already know that...

Yeah, it really never does. Especially if you use this series as a guide. I don't think any of their plans ever went exactly according to plan. So every time I'd be losing it and freaking out like this ↓...I'd have to give myself a pep talk and talk myself off the crazy ledge that my brain takes me.

The thing about the Fae though. Is that power is ever-shifting, ever-changing. And I don't think I could say it any better than Valerian. This is what helped me keep holding on.

Right now he holds the power—but power is a fickle beast in the Everwilde. It answers to the most ruthless master. And there’s no one more ruthless than a Fae protecting his mate.

This quote just reminded me to hold on and that at any given moment things could change, in their favour. And that was my lifeline.

But as much as Summer felt like her world was crashing around her and way out of her control...her friends, family in her life...never let her face it alone. They were always there. And the relationships constructed in this story. Seriously hit all the feels for me. The girls: Eclipsa, Mack, Ruby. Are the best. And my heart has claimed them. They just make me feel or gooey inside. That no matter the situation they stood by her. Life or death. Even when Summer wanted to protect them from it.

“Screw that.” Mack pulls her crossbow from her backstrap and loads it. “Ride-or-die besties, remember?”

And that's exactly what they were. Well said Mack.

But we can't forget Asher and the guy that owns my heart, Valerian. The amount of swoon-worthiness this guy is...is definitely off the charts. The way he protects Summer, with no thought to himself or his pride...I have no words for it. But it hits every feel inside me. But seeing into his mind, (yes it happens, there's some chapter in his POV!! - no I'm not messing with you!!!!!) there were times I just couldn't handle it. My heart was literally breaking seeing his agony and pain inside. The pain of separation and even just the pain he had held inside all this time. It literally would've brought me to my knees, if I'd been standing. It hit me so far beyond just feels. It hit to the very centre of my being.

If you need some of those feels...I'll give you a little sneaksie.

I will burn this world to ash for you, Summer.
The things I would do for her scare me.
One word and I would destroy anyone who’s ever hurt her.
One look and I would give up everything—my crown, my magic, my life.

And my words this was just a lot. Especially after finishing the book. He literally would do anything just to free her. To free her from her cage. The pain he sees her struggling through. It tears at his seams too. Even when he tries to hide it from her. But his need to protect her doesn't always come first. Sometimes he knows when Summer needs to do things for herself. And that is a beautiful trait to have. To see when you just need to be the supporter. Even if every cell in your body is demanding otherwise. He sees all of her and lets her shine her light. Let's her be who she is meant to be.

“No. This has nothing to do with me. You are the girl who survived against unimaginable horrors. Who managed to hide from my grandfather, to thrive in a world that treated you with unimaginable cruelty, and you did it all without compromising who you are, a kind, brave, funny, eternal light.”

Just so you know, this gal will fight you for him! He's mine, I claimed him. He MINE! You cannot have him.

There is just so much I loved, loved about this book. I could probably talk for ages more. But I know I'd probably send you running to the hills for cover lol. I just loved the growth of each character, the rawness and emotional turmoil and the not knowing how it was all going to play out. I may be a little bit obsessed with it. Just a little lol. Okay, you got me...it's more than a little.

I just gotto add this somewhere...I just knew I didn't trust you! I just knew you were gonna be bad news. I just did. I felt it in me bones.

The turmoil this book will put you through is going to be high on the torture threshold. And anything you imagine, multiple that by at least 10! You think you know...but just

I know that's terrifying...believe me I get it. Audrey was definitely walking on thin ice. I thought I might have to end up paying her a visit lol. I was prepared to riot if I needed. I was not messing around lol. But I was this close to losing my mind! I'm not even kidding. The content in this book is just so heart-clenching. the story just digs its claws in and won't let you go. So yes, I was prepared to put her in the corner and think about all the crazy she was concocting and to fix it pronto. Cause I was having none of that. I was prepared to take her characters off her until she started playing nicer with them. What? It's a reasonable punishment. Someone has to protect them, from the storyteller. Right? 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

Oopsie lol...I think I let some of my crazy out. You know I love your crazy mind. Even if it seems like a scary place at times lol. It's a scary but incredible place.

This story is seriously just so phenomenal. It will have your heart-pounding and will have you turning those pages, as the story just comes alive in your head. Nothing will be able to stop you. It demands your attention and time and will have you on the edge of your seat. This is a series for everyone. And is a must-read! An amazing finish to an incredible series. Couldn't have imagined it finishing any more perfectly. You have my stamp of approval. For whatever that's worth.

Thank you Audrey for this incredible tumultuous read. I loved the journey you took me on. Def a top fav.

Later folks. Happy reading.

Audrey Grey is better than this. I LOVE her Kingdom of Runes series and will be re-reading it until the end of time, but this series...

The first book was great, the second one still very entertaining, but this one was meh. I rolled my eyes a lot and skimmed quite a bit just wanting to know what happens. It was clearly a rushed job, and if that means Grey is focusing her time on the final book of her other series, then that's fine by me!

I still loved most of the characters. Not Valerian though. He became so useless and annoying. Great steamy scenes, as always with Grey, and cool world building, but those aspects are overshadowed by the messy plot and way-too-easy redemption arcs of certain characters. Even Summer remains pretty useless, never really getting to prove herself. She'll forever be dependent on others to help her. The ending...just no.

Anyway, I still love Audrey Grey and will keep reading her books. I know she CAN write great fantasy!!! It just wasn't this one.

Where to begin, I don’t even know where too start but my expectations for the ending of this trilogy were high. In the first two books I found myself relatable to Summer as she was some vigilant creature that despite the trouble, took whatever life dealt her like a true queen. In this story however I found myself surprisingly underwhelmed by the lack of character Summer had in the first two. She was bland, she was a pawn, a puppet too the very end and that alone had me seething. Her mere existence cradled around some man who tried to end himself. Not to mention the amount of sexual tension that was built up in the first two books so easily sullied. It felt very rushed. It was a good trilogy but I found myself upset with it’s rushed conclusion.

Audrey Grey’s Evermore Academy is definitely a new favourite series of mine. The Summer year is the third and final book in this series and it does not disappoint! Evermore Academy: Summer takes place after the Evermore Academy: Spring finale. Summer is bonded by contract to Hellebore and sequestered to her new home until the new year at the academy starts. She has minimal visits allowed with Eclipsa, Asher, and Mack; and no contact at all allowed by Valerian, the Winter Prince. In fact, if Valerian even looks at Summer, Hellebore is allowed to kill him. When the Summer Year at the Academy starts, Summer has more freedom from her contract, but she is still stuck doing what Hellebore decides for her. She has to figure out herself, her relationship and on top of it all, she has to figure out what The Darken is planning with his allies within the Fae realm, or else lose everything and everyone she now holds dear.

Summer grows so much over the series and overcomes a lot of obstacles. I am so happy however, that she never forgets where she comes from, even with all the new information she learns about her history. I love that she is strong and puts her friends first, and that her friends recognize this and call her out when she needs to step back and put herself ahead. Eclipsa is one of my favourites sassy badass assassins. There is still some growing she could do and I still feel like we are missing part of her story. Maybe we will get it as a novella (*fingers crossed*). Asher and Mack omg those two. Mack and Asher both have such similar qualities. They are both so loyal to their loved ones, to a fault. Mack always stands up for Summer against anyone, even when its in her best interest to stay quiet and I love this about her. Valerian, oh my sweet Winter Prince. He struggles in this book a lot. We also see how much he will put Summer before himself and he’s always putting her interest before himself. The growth we see from him in the series is great, especially when you consider how closed off and icy he was in Evermore Academy: Winter and what he learns in the Spring year. Ruby is by far the funniest character and provides so much comic relief throughout the series. I hope Summer keeps her well fed with candies and she gets more Tall Goats to cuddle with. This little Sprite gives Summer so much support despite being a hot mess.

Audrey’s writing in this novel is just like the first two. You just get pulled into the world and immersed in the story. Evermore Academy: Summer is the least action packed of the three, as it takes on a more political manoeuvring and “Who Done It” plot as Summer is thrust into her new roles and responsibilities. I think everyone will be happy with the ending and the major twists and turns throughout the final novel! Although there is some points in the story that are left open-ended; leaving room for a spinoff (hopefully!). Overall, this series is definitely a must read for those who love Fae and Academia settings!

I'm sad I have to write this review because I loved the first two books in the series. But, Summer was infuriating in this book and made the entire thing hard to read. She kept getting herself into trouble and just being incredibly dense for 85% of this book. It became so bad, that I knew she wasn't going to win at any of the challenges she faced. A hero has to have some wins and not just all losses. It was just too much. By the end, the happy ending just felt cheap and rushed.

My goodness! I can't believe the Evermore Academy came to an end. And I don't want it to☹️. Yeah, I got addicted to these arrogant, wicked Fae folks. Audrey Grey please I want a spin off of this series like real quick... A girl can have her hopes 🤞😇

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤:
Okay, now onto the final book 3: Summer what can I say, this one blown my mind. The story follows from book 2 where Summer Solstice gives up her freedom & her mate in order to save the love of her life and her friends meanwhile she focuses on finding her evil fiance's secret and expose him. She overcomes so many hurdles, manipulations & ruthlessness but always fights her way back to stay strong & protect her loved ones.
The romance between the MCs was amazing & off the chart.
"𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯. 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴."

Again it was somewhat easy to guess the evil mastermind behind everything and some of the mysteries going on in the book, so the suspense part was not that intriguing but overall it was satisfying.

This book got really messy, gritty and lots of complicated but was also sweet, fun & heart warming at the same time. I always love a book if it makes you smile, teary eyed, frustrated & most of all make you cheer for the characters, so yes I did all of the above for this well written tale.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 :
𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 was brave, kind, humane despite her being dumb & incompetent sometimes.
𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 (H) the Winter Prince, god my heart went out to him. His love for Summer and how he would go to lengths to protect her was so selfless, daring and a quality every lover I think should posses. He'll be always one of my favorite book boyfriends.

𝑬𝒄𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒔𝒂, 𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒌, 𝑨𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒓 were all loyal crazy friends who would stand by each other at all times. And I really adored Mack's and Asher, the dragon boy's cute relationship.
𝑹𝒖𝒃𝒚 as usual was a great entertainer, she always made me laugh even at bizarre incidents. She's one arrogant little diva.
The devil incarnate aka 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒆 was sick, twisted, cocky and deserves a throat punch. But holy Fae, he's seriously a hot mess, and I secretly want a book of his own.
As a whole, each & every characters in this book added some depth & spark to this story.

I'm going to miss the Evermore and it's wild ride. Kudos to Audrey Grey & her commendable writing which kept my interest throughout the book.

It's clear, Fae creatures and their antics never fail to bewitch us. 🧚‍♀🧚‍♂

This review contains spoilers, so if you want to be left surprised don’t go any further.

I received an advanced readers copy of this book for review.

This book is the last in the series. It follows Summer, WP, and their friends in their quest to overthrow Hellebore and the Darken. It was a fast and fun read. The authors writing style makes it easy to immerse into the world and the plot is face pasted to keep you interested. Overall it follows the same flow and style of the previous two books. If you’re a fan of the first two, this one will likely be up your alley. If you’re dying for Summer and the WP to wind up together, you will get your wish there at the end as well.

I feel like this book (until the very end) was the least action oriented in the series. Most of the book is about how Summer and WP want to be together but can’t, and them struggling with that. There’s a lot of explanations and paragraphs on longing and desire, which I get for the whole plot of them being bonded, but at some points I did find myself thinking “ok, ya’ll want to bone, I get it, let’s move on”. Had the book been longer, or if there was going to be a 4th book in the series, I would not of minded this as much. But, at the end of this book I still had a lot of questions left unanswered, and I feel as though some of the prose about their inability to be together could of been forgone in order to add more important story elements that were left unanswered. Two (I feel major) story lines that weren’t wrapped up were:

- Asher and Mack are obviously attracted to one another, but at the end of this book that story line isn’t resolved. Will they? Won’t they? Will Mack be with Jace instead (screw Jace, I vote no on that 😂)? We don’t know. There has been talk of a spin off and I hope it is about the two of them, because I feel as though their relationship was really built up without any resolution at the end

- Where in the world is WP’s mother? I swear this is like Zukos mom from Avatar all over again. They find his sister, but we never get to see him talk to her, and it’s just mentioned that his mom isn’t there. Where is she? Did she really abandon him for no good reason? Do we hate her or no?

Minus the above plot lines that I feel weren’t resolved (which is why I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5), everything else is resolved nicely. There is also a huge plot twist at the end that I was very happy with. I would recommend giving it a read if your a fan of this series or the authors other books.

“Welcome to Evermore Academy where the magic is dark, the immortals are beautiful, and being human SUCKS

After Hellebore Narcissus exposed my secret, he claimed me as his, a pawn in a deadly Faerie game I’m only just beginning to understand.

Now, I’m caught in a complex web of bloodthirsty courts, ancient feuds, and the lust for ultimate power. To expose Hellebore and recover the Darken’s soulstone, I must become an expert at navigating the cunning world of the Fae and my new life at the academy—all the while resisting my true mate, the Winter Prince.

Win this game, and I regain my freedom while saving humanity—lose and the entire mortal world will fall to the Fae.

But what if the only way to win involves giving up my soulmate forever?” ~ Audrey Grey

An EPIC conclusion to a PHENOMENAL series! All of the questions that I had when finishing Spring was answered and I must say, Audrey gave the readers what they wanted! I feel like those who have been invested in the Evermore Academy will be so pleased with how the series ended! Honestly, this is one of my favourite conclusions. Everything was wrapped up in a nice little bow. I am also in love with the redemption arc! Alas, I must not mention names but believe me, one character will be pulling at your heartstrings! I cannot wait to read what Audrey has coming next!
If you’re a fan of Fae, Vampire Academy, and The Cruel Prince, then this series is for you!!!

Oh bueno... ¿Me siento decepcionada?

As a 3.5 star, many might be very shocked to see such a low rating amidst the endless scroll of fives. Well let me tell you, it really was bad per se....but it wasn’t AMAZING either. I just, liked it above a little more than ‘Eh’.

MIND YOU, this is largely due to having read INCREDIBLE literary crafts by V.E. Schwab, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Sarah. J. Maas. (*shameless plug and not sorry for it ;) )

The most fascinating part of this entire book however, will have to be Hellebore. He’s just such a mysterious character with lots of skeletons in his closet (maybe even literally) and I can’t wait for Grey to explore his character- which she absolutely MUST after leaving the ending the way it did.

AND I just agree- an Asher and Mack spin-off? MUST. HAVE. I’m awaiting for release updates Grey.

I'm not disappointed, I just wanted something more for the climactic ending of the series.

description

I got worried as we drew closer to the end because things were still really messed up. It was enjoyable and similar to the other two books, but it wasn't my favorite. I am glad she did make this into 3 books instead of doing 4. As in the other two, crazy things happened and Summer kicked butt. And it had two epilogue like endings which was fun.

Lately I have just been dissatisfied with my series endings. Maybe I am just expecting too much.

The entire time I was reading this book I didn’t want it to end, not because it knew it was the final book and I would have to say goodbye to these amazing characters of Summer, Valerian, Mack, Eclipsa, Asher, Ruby (and so many more) that I have come to love, but also because the writing in this final book was just so magical!
The flow of the story, the mysterious hints and questions left throughout the entire book until it all came together in a crescendo in the final chapters of the story.
From the beginning of Winter, to the heart wrench in Spring and the jaw dropping, tear jerking emotions of Summer I have been completely invested in the relationship of Summer and Valerian. I absolutely adore this romance and I only pray that there will be future spins off (please I need Mack and Asher romance books!) where we will get small insights onto what happened after the ending of this final book.
Absolutely loved it all!

This book guys! I had it in my head when I started this series a few days ago that there was going to be 4 so obviously I was gutted when I started this and saw it was the last one. But what an ending! What a middle!!!!

As sad as I am that this is the last book I'm so glad it ended as it did because I tell you something I had no idea what was going to happen and my heart fell out of my ass for a good minute there!!! I thought for sure my favourite couple were doomed.

This was slightly more serious and less funny than the other two however I did still find myself having a chuckle now and then, much to my husband's annoyance (Soz jakey). I also didn't guess what the motives were of some of the big bads, or even who the big bads really where.

I can't believe it's finished I really can't.

Meh

I enjoyed it to a point.

The characters are fun. My least favorite character was still Summer, so that's a bit of a bummer but i loved most of the side characters and was very invested in them and the story.

*spOilers*

The end was a little... idk seemed to me like we disregarded a few of the rules of this world to make the end fit into a nice little bow and that doesn't click with me.
It was still obviously a nice ending because once the author disregarded the rules they made *cough, cough* everything fell nicely into place and everyone had their happy ending.

I love happy endings and therefore i liked this one, I'm just still miffed that it was a very convenient ending.
I feel like most of Summer's enemies just got a sudden and unrealistic change of heart and became nice all of a sudden just for the purpose of making the ending be picture perfect.

It just felt very forced.
This book felt a bit thrown together into a "how can I make everything that's still wrong solve itself in a dramatic way before finishing the 4 books series and do it all in this one 3rd book to turn it into a trilogy instead?" And it showed.

I'm sorry to say this but, I wasn't a super fan of the series to begin with but i liked and enjoyed it, it had good characters and a fun story and this book didn't do the rest of the series justice.

Im sorry to put only 3,5...

...but the 70-80 percent of the book was aabout continous failure and made a bad feeling while again and again she doesnt succeded; while she masters such a power. There was a lot happening but each time it ended “shamefully” for her and I felt bad for it. I rooted for DBH and was expecting he is not that DB but it took so long...Im happy with the ending and Ill get the hardcopy version and may re-read at one point... but it just wasnt as the first and second book for me...

True Confession.......fantasy is not my thing. I read this series at the recommendation of a good friend. Honestly, I was shocked how much I liked the series! I blew through the first two books in just a few days. I was so excited to get my hands on this third and final book of the series. Like the previous two, it did not disappoint! I thought the story was very well written. I alway figure out how a book is going to end but I could never figure this ending out till I finished the book. All the characters suck you in. From the bad ass guys to the lethal assassin and the little sassy sprite! Y’all will love Ruby! Honestly, she’s that one really good friend we all have who is a train-wreck but is always your ride or die! We all want and need a Ruby in our lives! ♥️
I HOPE/WISH/PRAY/BEG that we get a spin off series. There are so many characters that I hope get a story of their own.
