Rancher Austin Flint has never been afraid of hard work, but for the first time in his life, working hard isn’t enough to solve his problems. After his ex abandons their two-year-old daughter, Lea, for him to raise alone, he realizes he can’t fix up his ranch and take care of a toddler—especially one who hasn’t spoken since her mother left. When his sister recommends he hire her speech pathologist friend for the summer as a nanny, he’s a bit reluctant. And when he sees Sara Kline for the first time, he’s even less sure she’s the right person for the job. The last thing he needs is yet another distraction, and Sara is breathtaking. It’s been a long time since he’s let a woman under his skin, never mind into his heart. Giving in to their mutual attraction would be such a mistake…
Sara can’t help but be drawn to everything that Austin is. The ranch is beautiful. His daughter is charming. Austin’s kisses are perfect. It doesn’t take long before Sara is falling hard for the tough-as-nails cowboy and imagining a life on his ranch. But when Austin’s estranged father shows up, the happy dynamic shifts. Sara doesn’t trust Austin’s father’s motives, and things between her and Austin grow decidedly chilly. With the bright prospect of a new job luring her away, and life at the ranch seeming less permanent by the day, Sara is forced to realize that leaving Austin and Lea behind may be her only choice—even if it means breaking her heart. If only Austin can find the courage to give in to the love that’s been missing all his life…
Mary Sue Jackson and USA Today Bestseller Leslie North invite you to indulge in a heart-warming small-town western romance with a smoking hot cowboy and the woman who tames him...
Mary Sue Jackson is the romance pen name created for all those cowboy dreamers! This Montana-based cowgirl is a rancher, and knows what hard work means. But despite being up at dawn and working past dusk, she still finds time for what she really loves... romance! With so many hours spent alone, riding across the seemingly never-ending expanse of grasslands, she has plenty of time to dream of love and the romantic tales of ranch life.
When Mary Sue's not out on the grasslands dreaming up her next story, she's most often spending time with her own personal hunky rancher, her husband. One of Mary Sue's favorite activities is to ride the ranch with her husband in the evening and hold his hand as they watch the sun go down over the prairie.
Oh, geez. The heroine in this book leaves a marriage to a man who blames her for everything and treats her like crap only to fall in love with the "hero" of this book who blames her for everything and treats her like crap.
There is almost nothing positive about the relationship between Austin and Sara. He is not kind to her, he questions every decision she makes, and picks fights with her (during which he says very hurtful things to her). Then in the end, after one grand gesture, all is forgiven.
I want to scream, "Get some backbone, girl!" and then throw the book across the room.
I received an ARC of this title from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I love this story how people can come from bad situations and find true love when they are not trying even with people trying giving them trouble. It’s funny how a 3 year old girl can see what is going on that the adults can't. This is a story that I will be reading over and over again. Austin Flint is a rancher and a father to a 2 year old little girl named Lea who the mother just dropped off one day and left causing Lea to never speak again. Rachel is Austin younger sister and best friends with Sara Kline who they went to school with. Sara Kline is just freshly out of a divorce and no longer working for the school as a speech pathologist. Rachel takes Austin into hiring Sara to work with his daughter, well not only working with his daughter she in turns breaks down the walls that he had around his heart as well as the walls that she had around her heart. One day Lea asks her Sara if she can be her new mommy. Then Lea asks her daddy if he is going to marry Sara so she can be her new mommy. Sara ends up leaving after a fight with Austin, which in turns gets Austin thinking as well as Sara, they realize they want each other and going to fight for each other.

Sara is looking for a fresh start both personally and professionally as not only has recently escaped a very unhappy marriage, but she has left her stressful job as well. She is fully prepared to work as a nanny for the summer, but she wasn’t prepared for Austin.
Austin has recently become a single father after his ex not only left him but their daughter Lea as well. Lea is struggling emotionally and hasn’t spoken so when his sister suggests that he hires Sara he agrees as he would do anything for his daughter.
From the moment that Sara and Austin meet the sparks fly and they find themselves unable to deny the chemistry between them. It is only a matter of time before Sara falls in love with both father and daughter, but will their pasts destroy the future they could have together?
This pair was absolutely crazy-making to me. I enjoyed seeing them learn and grow and open up to one another, but their walls were high and thick and well-defended. While that made for very realistic interactions between Austin and Sara, it was probably more dramatic and angsty than was completely necessary. Especially with the financial dramas around Austin’s land added into the mix. To me, there were a lot of tangents in the book that distracted from the main story and there were some things that felt unfinished in the end because of that. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout as part of the box set.
Speech pathologists Sara Kline gets hired as a nanny for a two year old girl named Lea who hasn't spoken since her mother abandoned her and left her with her father to raise alone. Her father Austin Flint a rancher isn't afraid of hard work but he realizes no matter how hard he works it won't fix his little girls problems he needs help.
When he first lays eyes on Sara he thinks he has made a mistake she is so beautiful and also seems like a spoiled city girl. He doesn't want someone to tell him how to raise his daughter or a distraction. This job is perfect for Sara she has finally left her husband and her work at an elementary school. She is ready to make a new life for herself even if that means falling for Austin.
Austin's father who isn't in his life shows up and puts a wedge between Austin and Sara because she doesn't trust Austin's father. With the tension between Sara and Austin she has to decide whether or not to take a new job or stay and give love a chance. I have read a few books by this author and have enjoyed them all.
Once I started reading it I didn't put it down until I finished it. Sara and Austin had to work through there doubts and fear in order to be together. Not only does Austin have to deal with his daughter not talking, he is also trying to get his ranch up and running and his long lost father shows up. Does his father have good intentions? I really enjoyed it. It was an enjoyable read. I highly reccomend it. I really wanted things to work out between Sara and Austin and Lea to all end up happy.
Can Lea open her heart to Sara after her mother walked out on her? Can they move past all that and be together? You'll have to read to find out.
I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley and this is my honest review.
A beautifully written romance of a rancher, Austin Flint that has just gotten his young daughter, Lea back from her mother, but now Lea refuses to speak. He hired Sara Kline, a speech pathologist and good friend to his sister, Rachel to work with Lea in regaining her speech. Sara took the job, because she needed to start over after just getting out of an emotional abusive marriage of two years. Austin had not seen Sara for years, so he forgot how pretty she was. When they met again there was an instant attraction, which they both tried to exnore for a time, but eventually they had to give up. Austin had faced many issues of neglect and emotional abuse from his father as a child, so he had a great many issues of trust, depending on anyone else, or sharing information as it never worked for him in the past. Austin and Sara attempting to build a relationship was a very up hill challenge. These two had walls built so tall around themselves and whenever the one said anything to the other one, more likely then not it would be taken the wrong way and up set them. These two had more ups and downs. I am surprised that Lea did not stop talking again once she started again. She was such a sweet child, she tried having an early morning tea to show them the error of their ways. There were a few fun things that happen a long the way too. You will enjoy the story as they build their trust in each other as they get to their HEA.

I'm not a fan of this kind of covers and I could have easily done without this shirtless cowboy, but I was captured by the synopsis of this book so... I have read it and I'm here to talk with you about it! ⠀ I LOVE the single father/mother trope and this book is a perfect mixture of it and cuteness. Sara is a speech pathologist that, after a breakdown at work, needs a fresh start both professional and personal. The perfect opportunity arrives when her best friend, Rachel, offers her a summer job in her brother's rach. There Sara have to look after Lea, Austin's daughter, that haven't spoken a word since her mother abandoned her. ⠀ This is the first book I read by this author and I'm glad to say that I really liked it. Mary's writing is so capturing and real that I felt every emotion, every fear for Lea's problem that Austin and Sara felt. In The Rancher's Tempting Nanny communication is the key: it is really important for Lea, that didn't speak because of her mother, but it is also really important in Austin and Sara's relationship because a lot of things might have been different if the two of them just talked. Anyway I really liked this book, I appreciated the happy ending too, even if I was expecting something different... Something more. ⠀ I absolutely want to read something else by this author and obviously I'll keep you posted, but in the meantime I totally recommend you to read The Rancher's Tempting Nanny if you love the single father/mother trope or if you need a really cute book in which life gives to our characters a second chance to be happy. ⠀ Oh, I almost forgot: this cover is totally misleading, this book isn't sexy or vulgar at all.
Austin Flint is a rancher whose ex-wife dropped their little girl Lea off with him and never came back. Since that day, 2-year-old Lea stopped speaking. Rachel, Austin’s sister, is best friends with Sara Kline, a recently divorced speech pathologist. Rachel convinced her brother to hire Sara as a nanny because she might be able to encourage Lea to talk again. Letting Sara into his life was the best choice he could have made.
The two of them are drawn to each other, but several things intervene to cause them problems. Their own poor communication skills allow for misunderstanding. Austin’s estranged father who abandoned him when Austin was 12 now comes back into his life and things cool off considerably between Austin and Rachel. Rachel’s controlling ex comes back as well. Can they deal with the issues these people cause them? When will their hearts tell them that their love is solid and they can depend on each other?
This was a good story with many elements that make it more difficult for the characters to put their issues behind them and reach out for something better. Can Austin and Rachel figure it all out? Maybe with little Lea’s help, they can finally figure out what they need and have the courage to go for it.
I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.
Austin’s Ex left him to take care of his daughter who hasn’t spoken since she got there. Sara is a speech therapist/ nanny to help Austin with his daughter. She knew he did not having her being there on the ranch. Sara was getting Lia to talk little by little but it made Austin proud to hear his daughter speak. But, at one point Lia took off and neither adult knew where she had gone to so they search the fair grounds only to find her next to the pink cotton candy. Austin and Sara were panicked at first because they knew Lia wouldn’t talk to strangers. Austin’s father shows up at the ranch A father he hadn’t and his sister had not seen since was twelve. Coming back for a second chance and Austin thought he would do that even though he was leery. Sara had a bad feeling about Austin’s father. Well Austin’s father was a snake like she knew he would be. Austin knew he shouldn’t have trusted him . Then Sara’s Ex shows up at the ranch. Sara gets an envelope for her possible new job in Casper away from the ranch. Will Sara and Austin get back together or will her new job take her further away from the ranch. Excellent characters

This was a cute book, but didn't necessarily match the title of the book. The title made the book seem like it would be nefarious, but this was about as G rated a book as you could get. I feel some may be turned off by the title, but the book is quite straight laced.
This is a story about a man who had a child out of wedlock, but the mother wouldn't let him see the baby except a few times each year. Then suddenly just before the baby turned 2, the mom was tired of being a mother so she left the child with the dad and was never heard from again. That's when baby Lea stopped talking. The rancher dad didn't know what to do, so he hired his sister's childhood friend to be a nanny for the summer. This nanny also happened to be a licensed speech pathologist. She was escaping her past - she was a recent divorcee and she had recently quit her job after an unpleasant experience with a child at a public school.
The three of them together all summer started to feel like a real family. But could they each trust the other enough to make a relationship work or will the nanny return home to start a new life?
I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions above are mine without biases.
Austin's daughter hasn't spoken since his ex dropped her with him and took off. Lea's a sweet little girl, but she's just two years old, and that makes it hard for him to get his work done around the ranch. Sara, a speech pathologist, is newly divorced and between jobs. She's originally from Wild Springs, and a friend of Austin's sister. Rachel convinces him that Sara might be able to help with Lea not talking, as well as keep her busy so he can work. I enjoy every book from this author, but this is a really special one. Austin and Sara are attracted to each other, but afraid to cross that employer/employee line. Until they do. And then it seems that the entire universe is conspiring to keep them apart - his father, her ex-husband, offers to purchase the ranch from the cranky neighbor, her job offer, stress about Lea and the ranch. I love that even though she's a toddler, Lea is so in touch with what's going on around her; even when she doesn't speak, she still doesn't miss a thing. I really liked seeing these three begin to form a real family.

When Austin Flint's ex abandons their daughter for him to raise alone, he realizes he cannot fix things around the ranch and raise his daughter, Lea who has spoken a word since her mother abandoned her. Austin's sister suggests hiring her friend, Sara Kline, who is a speech pathologist for the summer as a nanny. Sara takes the job as Lea's nanny needing a fresh start after leaving an emotionally abusive marriage. Austin and Sara try to fight their attraction but eventually give in. What happens when Austin's father shows up? Can Austin trust his father or not? What happens when Sara's controlling ex show up? Will Sara and Austin be able to break down their walls? Will miscommunication and misunderstandings bring an end to Austin and Sara's relationship? Will a new job offer take Sara away from Austin, Lea, and the ranch? Will Austin and Sara find their happily ever after? I really enjoyed The Rancher's Tempting Nanny by Mary Sue Jackson. I would definitely recommend getting The Rancher's Tempting Nanny and any other book by Mary Sue Jackson.

The Rancher's Tempting Nanny by Mary Sue Jackson is a satisfying contemporary cowboy romance featuring rancher Austin Flint, his two-year-old daughter, and Sara Kline, a speech therapist who is looking for summer work. This is good because his little girls hasn't spoken since her mother left. Simple and straightforward as the plot is, it is still enjoyable. There are no real questions as to how the story will end but it is an enjoyable journey
Jackson writes using simple characters, good and wholesome to the core. It is romance. No questions asked. It makes the reader feel good. All of us need that sometimes. These are good people who deserve good lives and they end up getting it. True, they are resistant, probably rightly so, but it all works out in the end. I enjoyed it. I recommend it.

Rancher Austin is a single father now that his ex has dropped his daughter off and left. He has only gotten to see his daughter when his ex allowed him and now the trauma of being displaces has set his daughter back in her development and she has stopped talking. So his sister has found someone to help him with his daughter. Sara agrees to be his nanny for the summer and help Lea his daughter. She usually work as a speech therapist and needs a little break so this works for her. When things start to progress with Lea both Austin and Sara get excited so things end up heating up between them. Soon its like they are a little family growing together with each milestone Lea accomplishes. Will they be able to stay together or will a misunderstanding pull them apart?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

The Rancher’s Tempting Nanny by Mary Sue Jackson is a very well written small town cowboy/rancher book with everything there is to love about a sweet romance. Hot, broody protective cowboy/rancher daddy of a toddler and the sweet temporary nanny in need of a fresh start. Turns out, all three of these characters need a fresh start and they seem to find it with each other. That pesky antagonist, communication and the past, wreaks some havoc on the fragile, newly forming little family. Sara and Austin try giving up, but the love is too strong and both refuse to give up the fight in the end. Overall, a sweet romance with a bit a steam to heat things up as well as tons of laughter and love throughout. Adorable HEA that give the reader a sense of a sweet, near perfect future for this couple and the family they make together. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
This was such a great read and I really enjoyed it.
Austin is a rancher and single father to his daughter Lea. He recently inherited the ranch from his grandparents and it is in desperate need of repair, but it is kind of hard when trying to raise your 2 year old all by yourself. Austin's sister Rachel, recommends that he hire a nanny to take care of Lea for him and she thinks Sara will be the perfect person for the job. Sara is trying to escape from a upsetting past and jumps at the chance to work for Austin on his ranch. Both are determined to protect their heart from getting hurt again.
Good story line, awesome characters, engaging dialogue and overall a great read.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA ending.

Communication – it’s always the issue! This is about Austin, Lea and Sara. Of course, there are others that are in the story too and their issues also revolve around communication. The story starts off with Austin and his little girl, Lea, that doesn’t talk after the trauma of her mother leaving her at her dad’s front steps. Sara is Austin little sister’s friend but is there to help Lea come out of her trauma stage and speak again. She is really good with her and she finds to instantly fall in love with her. Austin is a little rough around the edges, but he has every right to be. His dad and her ex come into he picture which both are worth not mentioning but they do cause drama. I loved that Austin, Lea and Sara all learned to communicate better in order to express their feelings and stop jumping into conclusions. I love the ending of it, it was beautiful.

This could be a 3 star book but the writing is not good. The book itself is the definition of formulaic and the author is not able to make it her own. It is so boring that I skipped chapters. The author introduces storylines that end without making sense. His father steals from him and where are the police. Her controlling ex-husband shows up and she says she’s not interested and he walks out of the restaurant mad and…that’s it. There’s no passionate build up, there’s no passion period but there is a whole lot of passive aggressive and aggressive behavior from Austin. It’s enough to be concerning but the author has Austin constantly apologizing and also has Sara apologizing for his reactions as if she is some role in them. I checked out because the author makes Sara a victim and a doormat. She’s not empowering or empowered she jumps from one controlling man to another one. STEAM = 0 SEX SCENES = 1 DO NOT RECOMMEND
I enjoyed this cowboy story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Sara Kilne and Austin Flint. Also his daughter.
Sara Kilne is a speech pathologist and she go a job offer to become a nanny for a cowboy daughter. The cowboy child doesn't talk anymore and they think that she could help to get the child to talk again. By taking this job may be a different change in her life. Since she been having problems.
Austin Flint is a rancher. He inherited his grandfather ranch. He is trying to fix it up and also taking care of his daughter that he found out that he had. The mother of the child left and now he been taking care of her. The only thing that he is concerned about is that since her mother left she has not talked. So his sister talks into hire a friend of hers to help with his daughter.
This was a fun story to read. It had action and drama throughout. It had giggles within.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
A Sweet Small Town romance. I think Lea was the star of this book. I was surprised that Sara was a speech therapist and not a psychologist.
It was interesting that Sara wanted Austin to open up to her about what was going on with Lea. Understandable, so that she could help her. When it was Sara's turn to explain why she left her job, she only told part of the story, unless I missed something.
Austin had his fair share of issues, but maybe if he had the full story of her departure, he wouldn't have been so unsure when Ted showed up. The only thing I didn't like about this story was what happened after Austin's father reappeared. That just felt unfinished to me.
A fairly quick easy to read story that ends with Austin, Sara, and Lea getting their HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received via Hidden Gems.
She is tempting to him but will he give in and take a sweet lick
*** 4 1/2 Stars ***
The Rancher's Tempting Nanny is one exciting read with all sorts of things happening in it. The story-line is sweet, romantic and sexy woven with drama, mystery, family and longing. The characters are well developed with a lot of depth to them which also brings stirs emotions as you read the story. The secondary characters are also nicely written and help to move the story in ways that you don't expect. Austin and Sara have a lot of things to deal with as they figure out if they can have a HEA, along with sweet little Lea, Austin's daughter.
I enjoyed this well written book by Mary Sue Jackson. It is an emotional ride where you want to shake Austin and Sara a few times to straighten them out but in the end they get their heartwarming HEA and everyone rides off into the sunset.
Rancher Austin Flint receives custody of his two-year old daughter when his ex decides to move on with her life. He hasn’t seen his daughter as much as he would have liked and now his daughter, Lea, is not talking. His sister recommends that he hire Sara Kline as the nanny for Lea. Sara is a speech pathologist who has decided that a change is what she needs and it will not take much for Sara to fall in love with Lea. What will happen and what does Austin’s father want when he shows up after not seeing Austin since he was twelve years old? When Sara’s ex arrives at the ranch, how will she react? Is it too late for Sara and Austin who were just beginning to explore their feelings? A pleasant western romance with an adorable Lea. I really enjoyed The Rancher's Tempting Nanny. The connection between Austin and Sarah was so strong no matter how much they tried to deny it. Austin has his hands full trying to raise his daughter Lea after her mother signed away her rights. Lea has not spoken a word since being abandoned by her mother. At the same time he is struggling to get his ranch in order. Sarah, a recently unemployed speech pathologist comes in like a breath of fresh air. Austin and Lea both become attached to Sarah. But Sarah has her own. baggage after divorcing her controlling ex-husband Ted. As much as she resists Sarah is falling for Austin but when the ghosts from both Austin and Sarah's past return, will Sarah stay and fight or will she cut her losses and leave town?
This was a heartwarming single dad romance. Austin finds himself all of a sudden the sole parent for his daughter who quits talking after her mother dumps her off with her father. His sister convinces him to hire a friend of hers, who is a professional speech pathologist, as a nanny. It doesn't take Sara long to get the little girl saying words again but the communication between Austin and Sara lacks much to be desire and soon they are hardly speaking at all. His father shows up for a short time to make things even worse. Finally after a big blowup and Sara leaves, his sister convinces Austin that he should try to make up with Sara on the same day that Sara decides to go see Austin to make up. As they finally make up and get back together they are on the road to a happy ending.
This book is about so much more then finding the person to spend the rest of your life with. It has two damaged adults figuring out who they are and what they need to be happy in life, and it's all centered around a cute little girl that needs them both. Standalone with no cliffhangers. Austin is used to being alone and in charge, then his ex leaves his daughter with him and walks away. Now he needs help. Sara has just ended her marriage and left her job, is it to late for her to truly find happiness? Can a man used to being in charge and a woman just starting to fight for what she wants find what they need in each other? Wow, what a tender, heartwarming western romance. Austin is a single father, whose ex dropped off their child, along with parental termination papers giving him sole Custody of his daughter, Lea. Unfortunately, since that happened, Lea hasn't spoken one word for months. On the advice of his sister, Rachel, he hires Sara, a speech pathologist and her childhood friend. Austin wasn’t looking for a woman in his life but for his daughter’s sake, he agreed to hire Sara. A great storyline and wonderful characters that warm your heart. There’s humor, angst, ups and downs, past trauma and a beautiful love story. Highly recommend this book.

This book is Mary Sue Jackson at her best. The characters are real, complex, and face real-world challenges. Their emotions seem so genuine, as they go from a collection of lost souls to becoming a real family, bonded by love, trust and commitment. The change goes in fits and starts, alternately joyful and easy, and then fraught with misunderstanding, hurt and anger. When you read Mary Sue Jackson, you know there will be a good ending, but she tells the story with just the right blend of drama, sweetness, and heat to keep you focused on every step. The Rancher's Tempting Nanny is a solid fiver-star read. This is a voluntary ARC review.
