A well-informed book that has the potential to unlocking possibilities in the workplace
Before I proceed, I will like to say it clearly, Get Your Ideas Approved is not a magic formula. It is not some form of magic spell that you recite and poof, everything falls in place. Jon Spoelstra presents us with a very practical book that is easy-to-read. There are no outrageous fact presentations, Spoelstra’s approach is simple, yet needs a lot of practice to perfect.
The whole length and breadth of this book sum up into one simple idea, which is preparedness. Be ready and well equipped with all the answers to any possible question your boss will throw at you.
I can gladly say that this book does what it says. I’ve had difficulties getting sound ideas across to my boss. Coming across this book is one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. Spoelstra, in his usual style, presents us with a lot of examples that can help with understanding the ideas in this book.
I’ve fallen in love with this book and have made it a point to read it daily to keep me going. I’m certain you will love this book too if you happen to find it.

In “Get your Ideas Approved”, Jon Spoelstra highlights the fundamentals of getting something approved and gives you tools on how to get your ideas approved by your boss, even though your boss is a tough one. Along 26 chapters Jon Spoelstra develops techniques and methods to get your ideas accepted.
If you have an idea, you should read this book and try to implement it. It is not an easy task to get your ideas approved, but remember that it is not impossible. During the process, you have to do a lot of research, so be ready to assess the risks to make the right decision.

Leaning on his vast experience, Jon Spoelstra gives us a book that will help even the most reluctant boss sit and consider your ideas, if not approve them straight away. If you have had great ideas but are at a loss on how to get them approved, then you should consider this book. Jon gives you the guide and steps in how to first assess all the risks, the reasons your boss may think to use in shooting your ideas down. Then he shows you how to turn that no into a resounding yes. He gives tips in how to work with the different bosses that are out there. Scenarios that demonstrate his techniques in real time help you visualize ho it would play out and how you can get your ideas approved!
I found it very interesting. I am the type who wouldn’t even approach my boss, so this helps me think about how to go about and be certain that it would succeed.

What I loves about this book, apart from the information given, is that the author goes directly to the point and avoids being wordy. In fact, it is a short and fast read that has some more than a hundred pages. Once I started reading, I devoured it. I read it in a single sitting. Moreover, there are plenty of pictures that make the reading much more enjoyable.
The reading is very informative and clear. Undoubtedly, after reading this I felt I had more knowledge on certain topics than before. The author is clear and his writing style is very enjoyable. Without doubt, I would read any other of his works because I found it to be very useful.
All in all, I loved it. I am giving it five well deserved stars.

Get your ideas approved is an easy to read book. It’s got around 130 pages, and it is well organized in 26 chapters - plus a bonus! Also, the text is accompanied by motivating, colourful and funny pictures that help explain the main ideas behind the text.
When I finished reading this book, I felt energized and confident. Jon Spoelstra does a tremendous job in boosting our spirits and, possibly our earnings, too.
If you want to climb up your career’s ladder, this is the book for you.

This is a really good guide to get your boss to approve your ideas. It's a very detailed layout of what it takes to get your ideas in motion. It's a reminder to research, write, think of any type of failures that may arise, etc etc. The one thing to always note is that you have to put in the work in order to succeed. Jon Spoelstra shows you how! The layout is easy to follow, and it's definitely worth trying out!
