Fire Fae: The Complete Series

A snarky fae, a caster prince, and a rebellion that threatens to destroy them all. The Complete Series. When the world froze over, Caster Kingdoms emerged beneath domed enclosures, protecting their charmed inhabitants from the lethal conditions outside. Maybrie Hawkins grew up in Fae Canyon, an enclave in the wilderness that adapted to live on their own terms. Until the fateful night she was kidnapped and traded to a kingdom for her rare fire magic. Years later, Brie is a renowned champion in the fight pits. Though the Casters chant her name instead of scorning her, most of the kingdom’s fae are not so lucky. Amongst growing unrest, a rebellion has grown in the shadows to fight for freedom. And they need Brie. Particularly once the heir to the Caster throne sets his sights on her. When Brie joins the uprising, her mission is anything but she must swallow her disdain for Prince Kai and earn his trust. Though a charm lurks beneath his diffident air, Brie sees the royal only as a means to the end of Caster superiority. But a larger threat also looms over the fae, threatening to take their lives and not just their freedoms. When fae begin to go missing, Brie will do anything to hunt those responsible. Even if it means accepting help from a sworn enemy. "A fast-paced romantic fantasy that will rip your heart out, stomp on it, and leave you clinging to your kindle asking the universe why you had to wait SO long for this swoon-worthy gem." ★★★★★ -- Raye Wagner, USA Today Bestselling author of Shifter Island Praise for Throne of Winter “This easily fits into my list of "written on the calendar countdown to next book" series and authors. That is a list that holds the likes Leigh Bardugo, Jim Butcher, and Emily Duncan...so it is safe to say you need to read this book.” – Brandi Wolfgram, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★ “Davis weaves a tail of royalty-romance, class-feuds, and espionage. Oh, and there's fae. Take those factors along with the good writing, and I don't really know what else any YA lover could possibly want in a story.” – @FiresideCoffeeBooks ★★★★★ “The world in which the story is in is very different from any world that I have read before. This made the book more excited to see all the elements of it. Once again, another fantastic series that I am excited to read!” – Kelsi, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★ “As always, the supporting characters are phenomenal. The interactions between Brie and all her friends were realistic and engaging. I found myself dying to learn more about each one.” – DC Elle, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★ “Davis has created another winning series that hooks you right away and doesn't let go until the final word.” –Sandy’s Collectibles ★★★★★ “Mesmerizing. Truly Addicting.” – Jeannie, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★ “So much fun to begin a new series and fall in love immediately with the characters and the premise.” –Cheryl, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★ “Sophie Davis builds strong characters and riveting story. Great detail and interpersonal relationships all throughout the book.

Great

The story was amazing but I was very disappointed in the ending. After so much build up the ending of the series felt very rushed. Too many unanswered questions and rushed to end the story. I couldn't wait to see what they did after so much has happened and unfortunately ended with a real "huh.. Is that all?"
It had so much potential for an ending. I would have given five stars if not for the last quarter of the last book... But mostly the story itself was amazing. A lot of inner and outer conflicts, surprises, action and emotional tethers.

This was a great boxed set filled with well written stories, terrific characters and a vivid world to experience the stories in. I did feel that the first 3 books were great & flowed well and while the 4th was great as well I was hoping for more in the end. It felt rushed and incomplete in the end. I enjoyed having this entire series in one collection.

Very Engaging

Great series! It had way more action and hidden secrets than romance which was a nice change from all the paranormal reverse harem and bully romance stuff that is in kindle unlimited.

Great story!

This series has a lot of ups and down, struggles and triumphs....but it definitely leaves you craving more! I started on this series with an audiobook to the first one, and was pleased to find a box set. It’s definitely a great purchase!

I read the first two books, but not going to finish the collection bc it’s just too YA for me. The fmc continues to have such amazingly long internal monologues, and it’s just drama, but like teenage sounding drama.

I loved this series. The characters are amazing and grow throughout the series. The fact that I didn't have to wait to continue reading is a plus. Each book picks right up where the previous one left off so there aren't any gaps within the story. Each character that our lead character Brie meets is amazing. The problems are faced head on and eventually conquered. I love the fact that even though there is a paranormal feel to the book, the characters don't always rely on their gifts.

What an emotional coaster ride.

This story captures ones attention from the start. I was stressed, angry, sad, cried, laughed and happy. I am really happy that I could read the whole series at once and didn't have to wait for the next chapter to be available. I highly recommend this book if you love fantasy.

Don't miss this series!! fantastic!!

Sophie Davis has created a world full of strife, vampires, shifters, fae etc. What could be better? Love, friends, family. Brie has a hard life, but it only makes her stronger. Kai life begins easier, but things soon change when he falls for Brie. lots of twists. Lots of action and a "can't put it down book".

Enjoyable read

I'll start by saying I really enjoyed this book series. I loved the characters Sophie created and their development throughout the books. 4/5 stars because as the books progressed the quality of the writing declined (ie spelling errors, editing flaws). All in all though a good read.

Excellent series

This was an awesome read. I LOVE Brie, the main character. She is a survivor that does not wallow in the pain of her past.

„Dark Court. Fire Fae Series“ by Sophie Davis includes all four volumes of the Fire Fae Series in a single volume. A beautiful and heartbreaking tale of survival, power and love, set in a world populated by various supernatural beings, that follows Maybrie Hawkies journey into freedom throughout four very good written books.

Throne of Winter (Dark Court #1)
Maybrie Hawkins (Brie) is a fighter, who dominates the fight pits in the Dark Courts. A favorite of the royalty and love by the crowd, elevated to an almost goddess status, she is not particularly surprised as Kai the Prince of Winter set his eyes on her. Nevertheless, she is in for a treat, as Kai intentions are not so straightforward as it expected.

Throne of Fire (Dark Court #2)
Brie relationship with Kai put a strain in her life. Although accustomed to the general gossip and constant snickering due to her vicinity to the royal, but after practically moving to the palace with, their relationship has become a state matter and a matter of public judgement. As the tension grows Brie get torn between the trust in Kai and the bare necessity to keep her own secrets save.

Throne of Blood (Dark Court #3)
Brie is confronted by an impossible choice, stay beneath the dome and be execute for a crime she is culpable of, or flee and let other die in her place. The story becomes unpredictable by the page and offers different POV that add interesting detail to the whole story. That is a heartbreaking story and still the reader would not have enough, thus is a very good thing that the next installment is already available.

Throne of Ashes (Dark Court #4)
Brie and Kai epic tale comes to an end in this book, but not before taking the reader through a veritable rollercoaster of intense emotions, full of surprises and twists that propel the couple to its final delivery. A wonderful end to a series, that still lets enough unsaid for a spin-off 😊

Sophie Davis Series offers a brand-new take on fantasy. Set in Hawai’i the series constructs a whole new world of legends and prophecies, whose meaning the reader learns about in the majority of the cases through Brie’s own eyes. As a fire Fae hold into slavery by her caster, who uses her to gain status and riches, she is a relatively naïve girl that needs to grow up rapidly in order to survive and would have to learn all the machinations of this new society. It is a rich and complex plot, that reveals itself steadily as the story develops through the series. Brie and Kai’s relationship evolves through the books in a very organic way despite the odds and it is always a “joy to watch”.

A plethora of characters, Fae, vampires, shifters compete with humans for a place in society. Despite the mix of different magic creatures, the story (intended for mature readers!) works surprisingly well and offers some very interesting new insights into the UF/Dystopia genre.

Book 1:
I’m hooked and I wish the other books were out so I could binge. Brie is a fascinating character who I connected with immediately. I also adored Kai’s character and I look forward to seeing him and their romance grow. I loved that Brie is such an accomplished fighter, and her assertiveness and fearlessness gave me the boost I needed to address a difficult boss at work last week. :-)

As always, the supporting characters are phenomenal. The interactions between Brie and all her friends were realistic and engaging. I found myself dying to learn more about each one.

Book 2:
I LOVE this series and am dying for the next book! I’ve been a super fan of the Sophies since the beginning and I couldn’t be happier with their decision to dip into the fantasy world. The cliffy is a tough one, but it has me hooked! I found myself constantly escaping into Brie’s world, and I didn’t want to leave. The characters are lovable and are written so well that you feel an instant connection.

Book 3:
I’m at a loss for words, but I loved this latest installment. My heart aches from the plot twists the Sophies threw at us in this book. I’m dying to know what happens next. The state of my heart depends on it!! That ending! Omg I can’t get over it!! Please buy this now so I can share all these feelings with someone :-)

Book 4:
I am so sad this is the last in series for Brie and Kai, but the ending was bittersweet. It’s been a while since I read the previous book, and I look forward to rereading the series now that it’s complete. I can’t wait to relive Brie’s epic battles and her sweet romance with Kai.

Overall, I absolutely loved this series, and I know you will too! When you’re done, go read Sophie Davis’ other books. They’re all addictive and will always be high on my list of favorites.

I received a copy and volunteered to review it.

I really liked this series and loved that I could read them all in order right after each other. The story was so easy to get hooked on as I had to find out what happened to Brie. I loved watching as Brie really comes into her self as she goes from a simple girl who is kidnapped and thrown into a wild world where she is forced to fight for her life and eventually joins a rebellion. I loved all the characters that Brie meets and all the problems she must overcome. It was so easy to picture what was going on and to root for Brie. The paranormal feel to the story with all the different creatures added to the complexity of the story. Just a good series I enjoyed reading.

OMG! What a series!!!
“Dark Court” is a thrilling series that starts with book 1, “Throne of Winter” and ends with book 4, “Throne of Ashes”. This creatively written original tale holds you in its grips and keeps you on the edge until the last page of the last book and still, you want a little more. The characters are well developed and strong, they pull on your emotions so much that you either hate them or you love them with no middle ground. The scenes are vivid, authentic, and intense, perfect for this series. I highly recommend this series.

Everything you love and want in a story. Sophie Davis writes with such a descriptive nature that you can see and feel everything that is happening in the story as if you are there. If you want to read a story filled with action, love and magic, this series is a must! You won’t be able to put the book down!
