Summary
Moon's Web continues from where Hunter's Moon left off. Tony and Sue have just left their old life, faked their deaths and begun a fresh start and are the newest members of a prestigious wolf pack. Tony is having a hard time adjusting to the life as a member of a pack. Tony is used to acting quickly and on his own judgement and never having to answer to anyone. Well Tony soon learns that his new life here isn't going to be full of rainbows and roses. Its going to take adjustment and tough learning and having to not go half cocked all the time. Sue is making her own adjustment, finally free of her family, but life is just going to be a bigger test for her now. We see how she learns more about herself and what she is really capable of. Tony and Sue learn that their love is about to be tested in the worst way. They will have to rely on the trust they have. Tony is connecting with his wolf half, gaining new abilities he never imagined, creating friendships he would never imagine, and his strength will be proved. There is an enemy more powerful than anything Tony and Sue have ever faced, one that could destroy all of the Sazi.
Plot and Story Line
Moon's Web was such a tantalizing story and I soaked it all in. I really enjoyed the first time, and even though these two aren't together as much as the first book, we see some powerful tests of their love happen in this one. We see how having a fresh start isn't always the best or easiest adjustment. What was most great about this book, was seeing how these two really come together even more than the first book, and we don't see much of them together. We see quite a bit of pack politics, some new characters (that I am half in love with already), some old ones, a mysterious villain, and a curious circumstance between Tony and Sue. Basically Tony's new abilities are causing havoc a bit, and when a healer works on him, but then disappears, he and Sue have to get a physical separation for a bit. Its causing some anger management issues and until they can find the missing healer, they will have to content with their mental touches. What was most fascinating about this was how the intricate world building, and boy did it increase quite a bit in this book. We get a better look at the Sazi species, their history and what they are capable of. There are so many unique elements that really wrapped this story up quite nicely. I found it very interesting seeing how cemented Tony and Sue become in the pack in such a short time. It isn't easy for them for a while, and I fell in love with these two all over again when we see what they become and grow into. Simply a wonderful book and can't wait to delve more deeply into the Sazi.

This is my favorite book of a much loved PNR series. When I'm comfort rereading the series I usually start here. There's magic and shape shifting, mystery, romance, action, and a good deal of cleverness. Tony, ex mob assassin, is the antihero you follow along into the world of the Sazi, an ancient race of predatory shapeshifters. What I love is the breadth of character introduction, every single one memorable. Many successful PNR series follow the same character unfailingly, I'm usually sick of her (it's usually a her) by the fourth book. I much prefer proper world building that lets several characters shine. If you like PNR I highly recommend this series.

Tony and Sue have new identities and they are trying to find their place in this new pack and world in Chicago. Someone is kidnapping and killing shifters. Because of Tony's " exceptional skills" he is kinda in charge. This is an exciting and emotion involved book. I really am enjoying this series.

Not sure what the author was going for on this one. A few too many plot arcs here. Still like the male character, but you lose the female one.

Tony was the best assassin to the mob before he was turned into a Sazi (magical creatures and were animals) wolf by one of his marks one year ago. He's never been in a pack let alone hunted with one. As Tony moved to Chicago and to the pack it is soon realized by the pack healer that he will be needed for a special job, looking for the one that turned him. Her name is Babs and he was chosen because he was an assassin and because if he doesn't his friend Carmine and Linda are planning to look for her themselves because Babs was their new toy.The one that took Babs is unbelievable powerful and fast Sazi. None have ever been seeen like it in the generations.

All the characters are well developed and are able to relate to in some sense and are important. Even as little as the seem every detail is tied together. He uses great word choice to describe the feeling of changing during a full moon. Even though this is a great book that middle schoolers might want to read I would recommend this book to 10th grade and up for sexual content and language is involved or talk to parent before reading.

October 11, 2011Enen though I enjoyed the first book Hunter's Moon from the Sazi series I was hesitant about the second book because after reading the description that there would be alot going on but even thought that was true and that all the things were connected I ended up enjoying this sequel to the first Sazi series book. Yes it was borderline romance but it leaned more into the mystery and suspense section. But STILL thats not a bad thing because like in some books the romance element really over powers the plot of the story but in this case not at all. It was clear and refreshing with spice and an air of mystery and suspense and with the sweet sensuality that always comes from romances of any kind. Moon's Web had a refreshing elemt that I feel lacked in the first though I cant exactly place. Though there were a few grammer mistakes the story I think flowed chapter into the next at a good pace and flowed wonderfully. There cold be a few things that needed clarifying and eleborating but they didnt take away from the stoery. It was still spell binding and enthrallin as its predessesor was to me... and I hpe to enjoy the nest book in the Sazi series

The second book was a little less entertaining than the first, but I think it's the tepid relationship between Tony and Sue. Maybe that isn't totally accurate, as they are still deeply in love, the but they become less of the story. They get moved to the Chicago pack, as it is believed they are both dead and they need to stay under the radar, but Tony keeps his contacts with the "family" at home. The Sazi become more enmeshed with him. Still like the story. Maybe too many characters introduced here to keep track of.

You have to buy in to the storyline for this series to work if you are constantly second guessing the author's choices you can't enjoy the read. I read a lot of paranormal fiction and this series has the potential to do many things within the confines if the genre without getting boring. The story/universe is continuing to grow and with that there will always be bumps in the road. I really wish Tony would tone the wise guy attitude down a bit as it can be grating.

The second of the Sazi novels, I actually read this one first. I enjoyed how the authors introduced their characters and their storylines. I was interested enough by this book to order the first story and then continue to collect the new ones as they were published. I am now awaiting the release of Timeless Moon.

It took me a little while to get into this because it starts from the perspective of an unsympathetic character. I found the perspective and tone a little disconcerting at first, but after awhile I found the differences refreshing. Its a change of pace for supernatural romance and not a teen angst fest or just porn with plot.

This is more about the changes in Tony's 'the assassin" life than a traditional romance. Though his girlfriend's emotions don't read true because we spend too little time with her, Tony's interaction with the other Sazi is interesting. This book is very much more about relationships as the action doesn't happen until near the end, but it is well written and intersting.

Tony and Sue are working on their new lives and learning how to fit in with the pack. Babs in kidnapped and there is a Sazi serial killer to be found. Fast paced, and unexpected twists and turns. Introduced to a lot of powerful Sazi. Robart and Asri's relationship is the background.

Book 2 of the Sazi series where shapeshifters are living hidden in plain sight amongst humans. C.T. Adams does a wonderful job drawing us into this world. Although this wasn't my favorite of the books from the series I have read so far--too many characters' names and social positions to remember--it was still fairly good.

This was not as good as the first book, however it had a fast pace and lots of action. There was plenty of paranormal and more sex than romance. On to the next book in the series.
