He was a man to be reckoned with, and she was every bit up to the challenge.
Isabella Girard keeps careful watch over Charlotte Eden, the Countess of Sagamore’s chateau in Châlons, France. Loyal, trustworthy, and inseparable childhood friends, Isabella would do anything Charlotte. While she and her grandmother see to the chateau, Nolan LaBarge takes care of the winery. She has learned a lot in the three years Charlotte and her husband have moved to England, men are not to be trusted, especially English men.
Graham Eden, Charlotte’s widowed brother-in-law, has isolated himself in the Northumberland hills in England. Unlike his wealthy high-stakes deal-making brother who excels at sitting through negotiations at court or in dreary salons, Graham prefers seclusion and the challenges and accomplishments of physical work. His brother was his rock when his wife died. He would do anything for him.
When Isabella sends a letter to Charlotte telling her the winery is close to financial ruin and there is little money to run the chateau, the countess sends Graham to take control and straighten things out. Graham quickly finds that the person sabotaging the winery is close to Isabella.
He must prove to her that the man she trusts most has deceived and betrayed her and the man she trusts least, an Englishman loves her with all his heart.

❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋 Enjoyable and sweet romance, set in England and the French Vineyards.
Graham , brother in Law of Charlotte Countess Of Sagamore, is sent to her Vineyard on a rescue mission. Isabelle is Charlottes best friend and along with Nolan runs the place , but all’s not well in the beautiful unspoiled vinery. Money to run the place is in short supply and workers are leaving, with the harvest upon them , can Graham find both the problem and the solution before they are ruined for good. And can they both put their pasts behind them and follow their hearts.
Good read and enjoyable characters, I cracked the plot quite easily and early on in the book , but it didn’t stop me very much enjoying the story. I liked the first one in this family’s series and look forward to reading more.
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
Graham Eden is used to solitude and enjoys physical work, so unlike his brother, Hugh. But when his brother and sister-in-law ask him to investigate what's going on at the Countess of Sagamore’s chateau in Châlons, France, he goes without another thought. Hugh helped him through his own grief at the loss of his wife and child. It's the least he can do. But when he arrives, he discovers Isabella, the woman who is overseeing the estate and winery, distrusts him and she makes her feelings known. Her animosity, while admirable, doesn't help Graham one bit. He knows he's the outsider, but he has a job to do and not even a pretty face will deter him. Isabella touches a part of his soul long dead and the more they're together, the stronger he feels for her. His protectiveness for her takes over when he discovers the one responsible for sabotaging the winery's success is someone close to her. When her life is put in peril, Graham does everything in his power to bring the culprits down and save Isabella. Will he rescue her and show her just how trustworthy he can be or will he be too late?
Graham is book two in the Sons of Sagamore series and it's an adventurous historical romance combined with a mystery. The characters, especially Graham and Isabella, are well-rounded with a bit of secrecy to them. Graham is a widow dealing with moving on to find love again. Isabella is an independent woman who's put her faith in the wrong men. The plot moves at a good pace with a few twists and turns. The mystery behind who is behind the sabotage kept me rooting for them to be unmasked. When it was finally revealed, it was not what I expected and I give full credit to Ruth A. Casie for keeping me in suspense. If you like your historical romance with a bit of mystery and swoon-worthy moments, you're going to love Graham. Highly recommend!
If the cover alone doesn't make you want to read this story, being part of the Pirates of Britannia and by Ruth A Casie will! Isabella and her grandmother take care of her best friend Charlotte's chateau since she married. Their vineyard is run by Nolan, a trusted stewart. But when funds seem to be dwindling and the winery is at stake, Isabella lets Charlotte know the circumstances. Charlotte's brother Graham is sent to see what is happening. Of course someone is stealing from the winery and making it look bad and I knew who it was. But I really like the hero and heroine and there struggle to save everything.. A satisfying story and perfect ending!
It is hard work to run and operate a winery at the chateau, in Chalons, France. But loyal, trustworthy and childhood friend of the owner Charlotte; Isabella would do anything to keep it producing the best wines in France. However, something was amiss, and she cannot not put her finger on the problem. Charlotte and her husband decide to send her widowed brother in law, Graham to uncover the problem before it becomes unsolvable. Graham has been isolated in the Northumberland Hills in England since the death five years ago of his wife and child. This turns out to be a mystery of who is stealing money and why. I enjoyed the characters, the plot and of course the conclusion. I could not put it down until I discovered who and why they caused the sabotage at the winery.
Hugh is the older brother who is a self made man. Graham's life has been filled with tragedy with the loss of his wife and child. He needs an adventure that will demonstrate there is more to live for. I wrote just the one!
I really enjoyed this book. You get to know the characters and their families. I have read all three of the Sons of Sagamore. I love the Eden brothers and their stories. I highly recommend reading all three books in this series.
This was another great book by this author and for the series. Lots of mystery and drama. Wonderful characters and happily ever after between Graham and Bella. A beautiful couple and wonderful story! Pamarella PRCS
