“As long as we all promise not to see anyone else, we can get this out of our system. That’s what a QuaranTeam is.” I’m really getting sick of this lockdown. I’m done with being safer at home, social distancing, and everything that 2020 has brought with it. Other than my husband, the only person I have face-to-face contact with is the package delivery guy. That is, until the neighbor across the street asks me if I want to join her QuaranTeam. What’s a QuaranTeam? It means that we agree that we’ll still adhere to social distancing and staying at home, but we can visit each other for social situations. It’s a way to stay at home while still getting that social interaction that my extrovert side needs. My husband and I always liked going on double dates with Tiffany and her husband, so I agree. But soon, it’s clear that she wants more than normal social contact. She wants us to become closer than I’ve ever been with anyone, especially with a woman.
