Is it a truth universally acknowledged, that a girl can humiliate herself on reality TV and still get her fairy tale ending?
Emma Brady is in shock. She fell in love with Sebastian Huntington-Ross on national television, showing everyone that opposites can most definitely attract. Now, he's asked her to marry him and live happily ever after in his fancy English manor. It's a fairy tale ending.
Or is it?
The problem is the TV audience wanted Sebastian to marry someone else. And in choosing Emma to be his bride, Sebastian could lose everything his aristocratic family has held dear for generations. Not to mention Lady Jilly Fotherington, who goes out of her way to make Emma feel like she doesn't belong.
With enough hurdles to keep an Olympian jumping, can Emma and Sebastian find a way to stay together? Or will the pressures pulling them apart cancel their trip down the aisle?
Marrying Mr. Darcy is the sequel to Dating Mr. Darcy. It's a fun, feel-good rom com for fans of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series, Lindsey Kelk, and Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones's Diary.
Kate O'Keeffe is a USA TODAY bestselling and award-winning author who writes exactly what she loves to read: laugh-out-loud romantic comedies with swoon-worthy heroes and gorgeous feel-good happily ever afters. She lives and loves in beautiful Hawke's Bay, New Zealand with her family and two scruffy but loveable dogs.
When she's not penning her latest story, Kate can be found hiking up hills (slowly), traveling to different countries around the globe (back when we used to be able to do that), and eating chocolate. A lot of it.

This book didn't grab my attention as much as the first book...until about half way through when Emma's relationship with Sebastian is tested.
Emma has come to England to be a bridesmaid in Phoebe's wedding with Johnathan plus to try to market her company's product in the UK. She and Sebastian are also working on plans on how to save his family home, Martinson. The family plans to open the manor to tourists so part of their time is clearing personal items out of what will be the public touring rooms. Then the producer of Dating Mr. Darcy offers to televise Saving Pemberley, which will earn them enough to solve the problem. However her conditions are that Emma NOT be part of the show.
Learning why the estate is in trouble is part of this story.
Oh, and sometime among all this Sebastian proposes so thoughts about a wedding are also on agenda.
Ironically, it seems the public is still not happy with the fact that Sebastian didn't propose to one of the finalists (Phoebe) but rather proclaimed his love for Emma on the last episode of Dating Mr. Darcy. His grandmother makes is very clear that not only does she abhor the fact that her favorite grandchild was on television but also that he plans to marry a women who comes with no money, no connections and no idea how to fit into their world. Emma does mount a campaign to win her over but time after time finds herself tripping up, saying the wrong thing or doing the wrong thing.
She is "helped" by Jilly, the family lawyer, who has had a longtime connection to the Huntington-Rosses. Jilly also brings her ex, Christopher, into the picture and he plays a Wickham-type character in this story.
Several things happen which test this couple's commitment to each. One has to do with Emma's mother, back in Houston, Texas. And as Emma rushes home to be with her things in England come to a head...not just with their relationship but also with plans for the manor.
There is a third book in this series which has not yet been released. I look forward to reading it.
This story was slow to catch my attention but in the end I can honestly say I did enjoy it and recommend it to others.
DNF @ 20%. I enjoyed the first book in this series well enough and was looking forward to this one, but it just never captured my interest. Maybe if I could have read them back-to-back I would still feel invested in the characters, but I don't now, so I'm going to call it.
I have to say I did enjoy the first book better but this one was a lot of fun to. Emma is to die for. She tries so hard to fit in in this book and its fun to see what she will do next. The one thing I didn't expect is the person who is tying to break Seb and Emma up. You won't know until the end which will have you left wondering. I also love Seb. He loves Emma no matter what hats she wears or mistakes she makes trying to fit in. The best part is the pool scene in the movie Pride and Prejudice they want Seb to do if they decide to do the show again. Will they do the pool scene, read and find out. The Mr Darcy series is fun to read when you just need a break and a good laugh. If you need a series like that I highly recommend this series, and have fun!!
A good sequel to Dating Mr. Darcy. Emma is staying with Sebastian (Mr. Darcy). They are becoming more serious and are very much in love. Unfortunately, Sebastian’s grandmother is not thrilled about Emma, her background, her family, or her connections. Hilarity ensues as Emma does everything she can to win over Sebastian’s grandmother. When Sebastian proposes the stakes are elevated. I enjoyed this book but not as much as the first one. The humour in this one is more slapstick than the situational humour from the first book. Emma doesn't seem as smart in this book. But I enjoyed the love story, the saving the heritage home story, and the continuing stories of the other contestants from the first book. I received a free copy of this book. The honest opinions in this review are my own.
After capturing Seb's heart in Dating Mr. Darcy, Emma finds a new set of hurdles to overcome after she says yes to the proposal. Winning over grandma Geraldine, trying to fit into the aristocratic life, paparazzi photos of an encounter with another American, and frenemies out to get her, she is kept quite busy. Will love be enough or will it be the reason it ends?
First of all, ew. Very cringe and not realistic. How would you end up huging someone who was in love with your fiance and trying to break you guys off by diffamating you all over the news. C’mon.
I always know when I read a book by Kate O'Keefe that I am going to run a whole range of emotions, I am going to get frustrated, angry, cry but most of all I am going to laugh, this book was no different. Although it is a standalone I think that even more enjoyment can be gained by reading the first book in the series. Emma Brady met the dashing , aristocratic English Lord, Sebastian Huntington-Ross on a TV reality show to find him a bride, things didn't go well for the ever clumsy, sometimes ungainly Emma but much to the displeasure of the TV company and the watching public Seb and Emma quietly fell in love behind the scenes and the favourite was side lined. Emma was to stay at Martingston, Seb's ancestral home, she had been thoroughly humiliated on the show and the humiliation continued as she tries to win over Seb's very disapproving, ultra aristocratic grandmother. Emma is a little naïve and trusting but is the trust she puts in people warranted ? who are her friends? Martingston is in trouble and a way has to be found to save it, is this going to be more humiliation for Emma ?. This book contains subterfuge, deceit, jealousy and it highlights the worst aspects of the elitist English class system. A great read that I enjoyed very much.

Emma Brady fell for Sebastian Huntington-Ross on national television when she was involved in a Bachelor show she hoped might promote her new active-wear clothing line. Now he has asked her to marry him and live in his fancy English manor – just like a true fairy tale! But the TV audience wanted Sebastian to marry someone else. Grandma Geraldine is likewise not pleased and does not make Emma feel very welcome. With granny and the opposition coming from multiple sources, will Emma and Sebastian fight to remain together? Or will the external hostilities make it impossible for them to have a future together?
This was an adorable follow-up story with the wonderful touch of humor that I crave in a book. The characters continue to be delightful and endearing! Grab your copy and enjoy this well-done story that will entice you to get the whole series! (And this bookcover is equally as awesome as the one for Book 1!)
I think, somehow, I had managed to forget just how much fun I had with the first book. I knew I wanted to read more about Emma and Sebastian, but some of the details of their zany, quirky lives had escaped my memory. As was the case with the first book, we get humor, sweetness, angst, drama, and a dose of just plain crazy. Emma and Sebastian are still wildly in love with one another, but everything in their world seems to be spinning out of their control. I loved watching this pair fight for the life they wanted to live together while at the same time my heart hurt to see everything they needed to overcome. It was really nice to see how forgiving Emma is of everything that went wrong in the end, but I know I couldn’t take a road that high with some of the individuals involved. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
The story of Emma and Mr Darcy continues to delight...
Having read the awesome Dating Mr. Darcy I was really excited to read the follow up novel. And it proved to be as well written and enjoyable as the first. There were characters whose motivation I wasn't sure about to keep things interesting and of course the path to true love (or to the aisle in this case) never runs smoothly. Will they be able to do enough to save 'Pemberley' or Martinston as it's actually known? Will Emma embarrass herself even more than her first appearance on TV? Will Granny ever thaw out towards Emma?
If you're a fan of a fish out of water concept with interesting characters that is really easy to read then this definitely ticks all the boxes. I am a fan of all the authors/elements the blurb mentions (Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk, Bridget Jones's Diary and all things Jane Austen) and if you are too then I'm sure you will love this book.

Wouldn't change a thing: I loved the wit and humour, especially Emma's inner musings with their tongue in cheek comments. I also thought the whole British/American culture clash thing was hilarious and totally on point. Poor Emma was adorable as she tried valiantly to win over Granny's affections whilst simultaneously trying to plan her wedding, save the historical house and oh yes, promote her athletic line. Seb was absolutely fabulous and I loved getting to know him better as he was a bit removed and more of a mystery in the first book. There was just the right amount of drama without too much unnecessary angst, yet saying that, I was so glad when things finally all worked out. I was thrilled to see that this is not the end of the series and I look forward to seeing who the next Mr. Darcy is going to be. This is the second book in the Love Manor series. I read the first book and loved it, so when this one came out, I was very excited to catch up with Emma and Sebastian. This book proved to be as enjoyable as the previous one. The story held my attention and had me smiling all the way through. Though there were some sad and frustrating moments, the wit and humor weaved throughout also had me laughing out loud. The chemistry between Emma and Sebastian is wonderful and I fell in love with them all over again. If you're looking for a cute, fun, and quirky story with a bit of Jane Austen mingled in, you cannot miss out on this book. I would also recommend the first one as well. You can certainly read this book as a standalone, but if you haven't read the first one, you are certainly missing out!

What a joy to read! If your looking for a real feel good romance.. look no further! Marrying Mr. Darcy is an absolute perfect read. I laughed, cursed, cried and totally found myself immersed and invested in the characters. This book is a real page turner, leaving you wanting more!! The story is a modern day take on Pride and Prejudice with a few twists and turns that leave you feeling utterly satisfied. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book like this and I must say it won’t be my last by this author! I would 💯 percent recommend this book. ❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed the first book in this series do I was glad to see MARRYING MR DARCY was a continuation of that story although you can read it as a stand alone.
What I loved about Sebastian was that except in cases where he stood up for Emma or was being protective of her, he would not give in to any of the drama being created by the people around him. His focus was singular - he loved Emma.
Emma was bombarded with all sorts of challenges and she wanted desperately to fit into Sebastian’s world with everyone around her giving her different advice or creating different drama. She was losing herself to the pressures of everyone else’s expectations.
I felt teary when Emma was teary. I felt for her and Sebastian trying to make their lives with everyone interfering according to their own agenda.
I recommend this book as light reading and something that will tug at your heartstrings.
I absolutely love this series. I’m a sucker for a rom-com with a British flair. I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.
Emma and Sebastian have been together for 4 months since the end of Dating Mr. Darcy. They fell hard and fast. Seb proposes and Emma of course says Yes. Emma is learning to navigate her new English life including driving on the wrong side of the road (As someone who did this for 10 days in Scotland, I know the struggle)
This book made me laugh and was perfect rom-com. It’s a clean romance but not lacking in chemistry between Emma and Seb. I hope there’s more in the series. Maybe a spin off with the other contestants or Seb’s sister, Zara.
What a wonderful second book to follow Dating Mr. Darcy. It felt like no time had passed and I was fully immersed again in the lives of Emma and Sebastian. This book brought on all the feels-it was funny and sad and frustrating and happy! I hope that Geraldine’s hint of an heir in the future will be the focus of another book in this series! I can only imagine what hilarious escapades would follow this story!

Texan in England Wedding Rom-Com This funny book is the second of a series. While this book can be read alone, the reader will enjoy it so much more by reading the series in order. This is a 'fish-out-of-water' story of a young Texan entrepreneur traveling to her fiancee's English Manor house to become part of the family and marry. Of course, many things go wrong since it is a romantic comedy. This is a fun book to read and I can't wait for the next book in the series. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
I am pleased to say that the things I enjoyed about book one were evident in book two. A fab book to read and escape from the world and just laugh. Drama, family issues, ups, downs, friends, balancing life and great moments fill this book. It will make you laugh, cry, smile, feel frustrated, angry and happy. Roll on book 3!

This book is a follow up to Dating Mr Darcy, where Emma goes on a dating show with no intention of finding her soulmate. While some sequels can be a bit of a let down, the endearing characters and scenes that jump off the page make this book just as good as the first. Once again, the author lets the story unfold in such a way that you feel like you are watching it rather than just reading the words on a page. Amazing book and I can't wait for more!
Book one was fun, but this one just fell flat. I didn’t care for the characters, it was all very predictable (which is usually the case for rom-coms, but this predictability was more annoying than anything). Major points off for the act three break-up, my absolute least favorite trope.
Also, there were some major editing and consistency errors. Like, telling Penny some major information for the “first time”. You told her that 20 pages earlier lol

It is a universal truth universally acknowledged that I love everything that Kate O'Keefe writes! She has become one of my favorite authors as she can make me laugh and cry as I am submerged into the stories that she weaves. This is a perfect second book to Dating Mr. Darcy with some of the same characters along with a few new ones. I love following Emma and her "oops moments" since I can see myself doing most of them. I'm hoping that there is a book three...maybe with a baby?!

I enjoyed the first book in this series but I didn’t love this one as much. I don’t like the trope that everything is going wrong the whole time. Didn’t enjoy the whole book. Would not re-read.
Parental guidance: very clean. It is understood that the unmarried couple share a room.
Triggers: deals with cancer.

Will Mr. Darcy finally marry his love or will interfering forces stop his happy occasion I had great time finding out. Emma and Sebastian have to worry about granny getting in their way. These characters are engaging and well developed. The storyline kept me entertained. Don’t miss out this was a fun read.

Another great story from Kate! This is a wonderful follow up to Dating Mr. Darcy. The characters are fun, entertaining and intriguing. The story captures your attention and holds it from the first page to the last page. It's written well and you wish it didn't have to end when you read the last page.

This sequel is just as good as the first. If you are looking for a book with heart and can make you laugh this is it! I enjoyed this book and can not wait to read more from this author! ( was given a copy of this book for an honest review)
A great deal of drama, judgmental family and horrible media leave Sebastian and Emma in love, on their way to an ever after and struggling to keep the family house and grounds
More than one less than helpful less than friend doesn’t help
Touching friends and family romance

This was a lovely romance. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I loved the setting of Martinston aka Pemberly. Also the British aristocracy and poking fun at it. The characters are great and Emma & Sebastian are a great couple. This book was lots of fun to read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
