Lucy has been blind since an accident in her youth. At a party of her father, Senator Bridgeford, she meets a man in the garden whose soft voice, in which so much sadness resonates, touches her deeply. His kisses take her breath away, but then their paths part and she has no idea how she will ever find him again. She doesn’t even know his name.

I am Reading this 6th book from the ARC copy, and I haven't read any of the other books📚 from this series, so being plopped into the middle of this series📚 is a bit confusing.

The "Alien Breed" 🐺🍆⛲are a race of humanoid aliens, mostly males🐺, captured by humans and experimented on. This part is vaguely referred to by author Adams in the beginning of this book.
The Alien Breed🐺🍆⛲ are also vaguely described in this book as Huge, muscled, with fangs. It is uncertain from this book if these alien men are DNA altered humans or what.
Apparently, they also now have their own planet🌍 to live on similar to topical earth.

I liked the premise of a blind human💃💋 woman falling for Beast🐺🍆⛲, a burn scarred Alien Breed🐺, but the execution of the story was boring and uninspired.

If interested, It would be best to start at the beginning of this series, and maybe just read the first few. This sixth book is definitely sub par when compared to other books of this genre.

Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

2.5 Stars - Decent Story but with OW Drama

I thought this had a decent story line but two things really caught my eye in not the best way. First, I realize this is a German translation of the original story but there were quite a few instances where the translation seemed a bit.... rough both syntax and word usage wise which just for me is a pet peeve. Also, toward the end there was serious other woman drama which was a big turn off for me especially in a book that deals with aliens and mates where usually they literally can’t or don’t want to ever be with anyone else. It ended with a happy resolution but for me it was tainted by OW drama I just didn’t feel was necessary.

Beast is so misunderstood to everyone but Lucy!
Beast has been rescued from the unscrupulous scientists who were doing experiments on the Breeds. They didnt care about what the Breeds were going through. Beast had been badly disfigured when there was a fire in the lab he was in. They only saved him because of the research they were doing. Now he was surrounded by humans at a garden party held by Senator Bridgeford who was a strong believer that the breeds deserved to live there life peacefully. The other breeds that had been rescued with him were there too and they seemed to be doing ok but it was all too much for Beast. He just needed to be alone. So he heads of into the gardens. He finds a bench and enjoys the peace and quiet. That was until a woman comes and sits on his lap! What the hell!!
Lucy is the daughter of the senator. Lucy has been blind since a car accident that killed her mother. The garden party her father had made her attend was just so noisy that she headed into the garden to her favourite place when she goes to sit down on her bench she sits on someone's lap. A angry voice asks her if she is blind??? Lucy is quick to say yes!!! They agree to start again and the find they enjoy talking to one another. Before Beast knows what he is doing he is kissing her and everything feels right. But then the senator is calling for Lucy and she runs off so she can protect him. Her father is very over protective of her and she doesn't know how he would react to know she had been kissing a breed
Will they see each other again???
Oh bless these two. They have so much pain to over come. So many people think they dont belong together. They see Lucy's blindness as a disability that stops her from knowing her own mind and what she wants for her future!. They think that Beast is too angry and aggressive to be able to give Lucy what SHE wants. Can they fight to get what they want or will it all be too much?? This is a brilliant book that really opened my heart and grabbed at my heart strings. This amazing breeds have so much to give if only people were more open minded!!!! I cant wait for the next book in the series!! Just brilliant

The Alien Breed are humans who were crossbred with alien DNA and then usually abused and tortured or at least used illegally by their scientist handlers for nefarious purposes. Beast had been used for experimentation. He was badly scarred during a fire in the lab when he was 14 and tied down to a stretcher. Now out of the facility at last, he no longer felt he deserved a mate and was convinced no one would want such a scarred, disfigured one anyway. So many humans had hurt him that he just couldn’t trust them now.

Lucy, daughter of Senator Bridgeford, was blind since a car accident when she was 11. She leaves her father’s crowded party and goes to the garden to her favorite spot. She meets a man there who also left the party to be alone. He sounded sad and that drew her to him. Lucy doesn’t mind beast’s scars. She has learned it is more important to know a person for who they really are and not judge outward appearances. When he softly kisses her, it is the first time she has ever been kissed and it takes her breath away, but will she ever meet him again? And after the surgery that restores her sight and she returns to Eden, will she forgive him for not believing she would return? Both of them are still in love with each other – will that be enough to pull them back into each other’s arms?

This is a very different kind of series that always piques my curiosity. Each of the Breed has their own story that captures the attention and sympathy (or respect) of the reader. Beast is no exception – he deserves the love Lucy can give him. Give it a try and let the story line and the characters pull you into their world.

The book started out great, with a great story line and great characters. Lucy and Beast has chemistry, some mystery, both a little broken and hurt. I loved the story right up to the end when Lucy went to go have her eye surgery after Beast told her to leave and that there will never be anything between them. Thinking it was misguided feelings wanting to make sure she gets her surgery and might not like his scarred face, Lucy returns to find Beast kissing another woman. He tracks her down later that evening drags her home and has sex with her and that's the HEA? He was more concerned about how she felt about his scars than her broken heart after she discovered his relationship with another woman and the sad part is she never asks him about it, its just forgotten and forgiven. The book would have been so much better if there was no other woman involved or if Lucy was a bit stronger demanded an explanation.

Scarred Beast encounters blind Lucy when both seek solitude in the garden at a party.
Alien Breed Beast had been scarred by fire as a child was not used to being in such a large group as he had only been freed two weeks before. When trying to ignore the looks and comments gets too much he heads into the garden to get away from it all. Lucy had been blind since an accident as a child and over time her hearing had seemed to become more acute so at parties like the one her father was hosting the noise sometimes get too much fore her. To find some quiet she heads into the garden following paths that her father has not changed since before her accident. She heads to the bench by the pool that is her favorite spot but when she sit on the bench she finds herself sitting on someones lap. Beast was surprised when a female sits on him and moves her to sit next to him. As they talk they finds that they have much in common but then her father comes looking for her.

The difference between how you see yourself and how others see you can be huge...

Alien Breeds is a genetically engineered, lab raised, species, members of which chose their own names upon being liberated. Beast has scars, from a fire, on over 50% of his body, including his face, and can’t imagine any being, Alien Breed or human, looking past those scars to the man beneath him.

Lucy is blind. She may face challenges in physically navigating the world, but is neither a child, nor fragile, and when she first encounters Beast, it’s his voice, his gentle touch, his kind and thoughtful manner she notices.

Lucy and Beast find in one another someone who views them, and treats them, as no one else ever has, in all the best possible ways.

This done in one quick read was a devour it in one sitting page turner for me,

"Beast" was a short read about Beast, a alien breed, and Lucy, daughter of Senator Bridgeford. Beast was damaged by the hands of humans so he doesn't see the attraction that his fellow kind have toward chosen human mates. Beast is scarred when a fire in the lab burned his body so people are afraid of him so he is alone. During a party for Senator Bridgeford to celebrate his freedom, Beast runs into a Lucy in the gardens. Lucy who is blind is drawn toward the man she meets in the gardens and it leads to a kiss. When Lucy regains her eye sight and she sees Beast with another women on Eden, is this the end of their romance? This has a lot of drama in this story that you wonder if they will be able to resolve to a happy ending, so when it comes the ending seemed quick but it was a enjoyable story and I volunteer to read and review this ARC vie Booksprout.

Beast by Melody Adams was a poignantly touching, heart-achingly intense story of Lucy and Beast. He’s just been freed from a horrible place and is badly scarred by a fire. She’s a blind politician’s daughter. They meet and he is immediately captivated, partially because she can’t see his disfigurement. She loves his tenderness. But, they can never be together.

I enjoyed this story until we’re told of how he is ‘dealing’ with the situation. Could have done without that. He has no patience or what? Otherwise, a very enjoyable story!!!

Lucy meets a mysterious man in a garden. They have chemistry and she love how soft his voice is. They kiss and Lucy doesn't even know his name, Beast was scared in a fire and he feels that no one will love him because of the disfigurement. He pushes Lucy away so she will get her surgery and when she comes back she finds him kissing another woman. Lucy walks away but Beast drags her back to his house and they have sex. Is there no remorse from Beast for not being faithful to Lucy? He didn't trust her to come back to him? Why didn't Lucy knock him upside the head? I love the series but this is not what I expected from Ms. Adams books. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Beast. A lot of burn victim, trauma and aggressive behaviors that fits the given situation (even if no one has all the truth). Alien breed. He meets Lucy at gathering her father, the Senator is holding. Somewhere on the grounds the meet. They have a connection. She is blind but feels the emotional pain he’s enduring. Characters grow during their journey. How can these two be destined in such a short moment? Villains, those who originally thought up their own conclusions are interfering. Can Beast protect Lucy until his dying breath? What. What? No cliffhanger

This series is a must read. This book has a blind human female and a possessive, slightly aggressive alien male who after being burned when younger has scars all over his body. Lucy doesn’t mind beasts scars, she wants to know him for who he is not what he looks like, she has to make him believe that. Beast believes he doesn’t deserve to be happy, that he won’t get a mate because of his scars, he didn’t expect to fall for Lucy though.

Love is blind

I liked how the characters were able to look beyond their exteriors to find that they loved who each other was inside. However, I felt it was missing a bit of backstory - a quick blurb on why they are on Eden, why they are known as Alien Breed would have been helpful. Also, it’s awfully convenient that Lucy’s eyesight is fixed and she immediately catches Beast in an indiscretion. Maybe more enjoyable for someone who’s read the whole series, but for someone just coming in, it’s a bit lacking.

This is a Alien Breed book, book six in the series and is Beast and Lucy's story. It's a fast paced stand alone book that kept my interest and engaged right to the end. There's danger, action, suspense, drama, twists, turns, hatred, trauma, rejection, kidnapping, enemies, threats, misunderstanding, patience, happiness, love, passion, hot alpha alien male with a great romance. The story is well written with wonderful characters with a great chemistry between them.

This is a really great series of books, yes it very similar to another set about genetically alter humans but most books remind you of others. But still I do love this series each book has a different alien breed as the main character, this one is about Beast who’s is horrible disfigured and general angry and aggressive, he meets Lucy who’s is blind since a car accident they strike up an unusual friendship at a a party and share a kiss. Will they see each other again?

Beast is an alien breed whos been recently freed from the DMI. Lucy is the senators daughter. Shes been blind since she was 11 yrs old. Lucy and Beast meet at a party held by the senator. They share a kiss before Beast is taken to Eden, a planet for Alien Breeds. Loved reading this story. Looking forward to the next one. Thanx.

OH WOW! I fell in love with this quick read. it took me 30 minutes to get through it and it was probably a good 30 minutes for myself to come back from this world. I did not want it to end. The character development and world building is spectacular. I am definitely going to be revisiting this story and I am on the lookout for more from Miss Adams in this series!

Great addition to the Sci-Fi/Paranormal Romance genre!

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world she created.

The attitudes toward the events that are happening make the story even richer and the characters more relatable.

They have a connection that is more than the eye can see

Beast is the sixth book in the Alien Breed Series and is the story of Beast and Lucy. I just have to say that their story disappointed me a lot. These two have a connection that is emotional and deep. But by the end I did not like their story as it was just cliched and rushed. This is definitely not my favorites of this series that I have read.

I love this series. I wa# a little disappointed in this story. There was alote of drama which is ok in some books but I thought it was a little to much in this story. Love it supposed to be great not on to the next pair of hot lips. I liked the characters and wish there was a little less drama in there story.

There are so many times I’d wanted to smack Beast in the head, he is a fool! A big oaf, and then Lucy finding him fooling around. Not good at all. If it were not for Sunshine, they wouldn’t be together. Lucy is much too forgiving.
