Let me start with the book cover: undisputedly enthralling; the blurb: highly captivating. So when the first two criteria are met with such huge margins, the book for sure is addictive. Sakthi, my debut book by author Vignesh, kept me hooked to the end. The storyline is female-centric and boosts the morale of the women when reading it. Kudos to the author's imagination and creativity that looks into the minutest of details.

The characters are relatable, though fictional, they have an essence to the gods of Hindu Mythology. The plot is excellent, an altogether different story where the next course of action is a surprise. The inclusion of the map at the start is a huge plus point. I love stories that involve a plan, the attachment to the story gets intensified. The book ends on a cliffhanger, and I am still guessing who are the next two Chosen Ones.

There are some minor grammatical errors that the author can take care of in the next edition. Sometimes, it felt like the actions were getting a little repetitive. Apart from that, the writing style is lucid with outstanding vocabulary. The book is action-packed, believable, and easy-to-read. I would recommend this book to everyone, especially those who love reading mythological fiction.

The name Shakti is a girl's name of Hindu, Sanksrit origin meaning "power".
Shakti is the female equivalent of the god Shiva in Hinduism. A sacred name sometimes used in a secular way.
This book is a journey of sakti who was unaware about her changing life. Her journey starts from Meghavazhi to training where she will perform tasks that will lead her to successful and become the part of war against the evil.this book is devided into 64 chapter that will tell you about sakti's life and different phase of her struggle.
The title justifies the storyline. The cover is aesthetically pleasing. Language used is lucid. Narration is smooth and writing style is commendable. Descriptions are vivid, the feelings and emotions are written in heart felt way. The book gives answers all unanswered questions by the end. Overall a short and brilliant read

The book is Hindu mythological, thriller, suspense. The book is divided into 7 parts and consists of 64 chapters in total.

The book is on the fight of good against evil. The story begins in Cauvery Basin India around 16000 BCE. The story revolves around Shakthi, a young girl, and daughter of Devaguna. She is the princess of Meghavaz known for her beauty, smartness, fierce, charming. Shakthi underwent many hardships to prove even her worth and she can fight and all other women. To prove this she even learned all the skills on her own. To save her world she is all set for the war. After being trained for the Great War in Kumari Kandam. As she's the chosen one. Now the question is will she be able to protect the people from evil?

The book is filled with adventures and twists and turns. The storyline is intriguing and creative. Language is lucid and smooth flowing. The characters are depicted very well.

We are so busy and our mind a chaotic mess that we never notice the stillness around us or inside us. We aren't aware of when we breathe, which is we do all the time, we never observe the pause between each inhale for and exhale. Or the drumming of our heart....
This book talks about how we observe our surroundings, about self-consciousness and concentration. It talks about the calmness one feels when we they just let things be and observe oneself. Observe and let things be.
I really like the book and would surely recommend this book to everyone.

'Sakthi' by Vignesh SV is the first entry to his Chosen Hexad Series.
.
The story is a set in a fictional world, mostly is the kingdom of Kumari Kandam, ruled by three benevolent kings, the Thirumurthis. The storyline begins by focusing on a tribal girl Sakthi in a village called Meghavazhi, showing us how powerful of a warrior she is and how she is chosen as the 4th member of the Chosen Hexad, which the Thirumurthis are already a part of. She is taken from her village and is caught up in a world of magic and other worldly powers. As a part of the Chosen Hexad she must train hard and come into her powers, in order to be ready to lock horns with the Greater Evil when that time comes.
.
The main plot and idea behind the story was splendid. The author starts the book by telling the readers to forget all previous knowledge they have of the characters in the story. Even though, the names of mythological characters and a few of their proximate qualities are matching, they are depicted as a completely new character. The characters felt a bit two-dimensional, focusing more on actions, and giving thoughts a back seat. This is only the first book. So expect we'll get more back story and further character development in the upcoming ones.
.
The mechanics for magic and other such skills were like an amalgamation of all such things I've read and seen till now, and was fun to read. (For any avatar fans here: it also has something similar to air, water and fire bending😍. No earth though).
.
Some themes such as fight for the greater good and women empowerment were touched upon, with this book being comparatively focussed upon the latter. Looking forward to meet the next two of the Chosen Hexad and learn more about this world, when the new books come out😄.

SAKTHI, is the first book of Chosen Hexad. Series.

We all live in the shadow of history, and the play of it's lights and shades over individual lives is the stuff of historical fiction. The author, In his sweepingly ambitious, captivating third novel, “SAKTHI" Vignesh SV creates a woman who is more powerful and there' trio kings to shape her one of the chosen hexad. This books is about chronological fiction has hindu fictitious characters which recited as kings who's upto fight with tremendous evils.Sakthi, the adolescent, fiercest, intelligent, bravest, encouraging, motivating woman of Meghavazhi. She's the woman of Thevas who proven women could be fought and win the battle field. She'd assigned as a chosen one by tiro kings for imminence the great war against the asuras once she accomplished three tasks successfully. And the story moves on as trio's identified her as she's one of the chosen Hexad. He composed each and every personality well and characterized incredibly and vividly portrayed. Storyline is fascinating. And the terminology is easy nonetheless high-ranking tier which relinquish whatsover prof awestricken. Few words are spic-and-span. This Book is just remarkable. It has beautifully interpreted the scriptures and deeply affected me in a positive way. And I'd felt and envisioned every scene inside my head. Title: Sakthi
Author: Vignesh SV
Genre: Hindu Mythology
Pages: [219]
Rating: 4/5
.
Sakthi is the first book in the Chosen Hexad Series. Author gives a disclaimer in the beginning that while reading this book forget about the stories of Hindu mythology that we have heard or seen and get absorbed in this unique one. The story revolves around Sakhti, the female protagonist who is a warrior girl and is no less than anyone else. Gods of Hindu mythology like Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma along with Nandi, Hanuman and Kuber have been kept intact. The plot of the story was very engaging and was difficult to put it down. Language used is simple and effortless. All the characters were aptly portrayed. Beginning, trainings, battles, consequences, ending everything was so well described. I loved the way Sakthi and Lord Shiva's dance sequence was written adding little spark to the story.
This was my first book under mythology genre and I pretty much enjoyed it. I'm waiting for the arrival of next book in the series with bated breath.
🔱 Amazing book, highly recommended! 🔱

Actual Rating: ***3/4 (3.75/5)

Author Vignesh SV has written a book that can be called as a compact dose of fantasy, mystery and thrill! It derives its roots from the Hindu mythology, and preserves its ideals—but instead of portraying the mythical gods and demons in their popular form, the author twists them to fit into his storyline. He creates his own myriad of characters; whose names and powers are somewhat similar to the gods and goddesses described in Hindu mythology. He recasts the holy trinity: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva as the three influential kings of the mythical kingdom of Kumari Kandam. He identifies the primal goddess of power, Goddess Durga into a powerful warrior called Sakthi. Not only this: the author lets his imagination fly like never before. He creates a magical universe with kings and kinsmen, with gods and warriors, with Devas and Asuras—completely immersing us in an adventure dripping with mesmerizing elements of fantasy!

A brief start to reading the book can apparently make anyone understand that they have stepped into a world of its own. Teeming with characters and legends, it doesn’t take much time to praise the author for venturing out into such an adventurous saga. We see Sakthi rising from an ordinary courageous woman to being a member of the Chosen Hexad, who have many roles to play for the greater good of the Earth. We see her influencing and winning the hearts of millions—setting up stones for her path to divinity. We stand alongside her as she comes to terms with the primal power she beholds, and as she undertakes trials and combats to become a legendary hero: an epitome of feminine power.

The author writes this book to highlight the immense importance of feminine concepts in the Hindu culture. In Hinduism, goddesses are not mere consorts of the Gods—rather they are powerful personifications of the philosophy they stand for. The ultimate feminine energy (also called ‘sakthi’) is seen as the symbol of both compassion and maternal care in the form of Gauri or Parvati (the householder and the consort of Lord Shiva) ; and is also seen as the ferocious upholder of peace to protect all living forms alive as she turns to be the warrior goddess seen as Durga or Kali. Thereby, the feminine sentiment of Hindu mythology preserves both these antagonistic ideas—portraying the fact that the mother can be both giving and punishing, both forgiving and vengeful. Author Vignesh perhaps takes inspiration from this central idea to construct his book and he puts up Sakthi as the bright and promising hero who is assertive and protective, and at the same time kind and forgiving.

The story sees a very fast paced execution. It starts off with a very fascinating kickstart and doesn’t incorporate much diverse descriptions. It is precise and well-articulated, and this structured approach is bound to make this emerge as a winner. The fight scenes were elaborate and detailed—and the combats led to one another, achieving a grand build-up. However, I wish that the writer had invested more time in adding some more suspenseful elements to the book. Mostly all the chapters started very linearly, without change in the view points in narrations. Although the narration was in third person, minimal attempt was made to explore the personalities of the other characters, or let the story unfold through their perspectives. As much as Sakthi’s character was very researched and well-rounded, the other characterizations suffered from blandness and lack of nuances. I did not find them doing something unexpected, neither was there any sort of mysterious aspect to the plot. It was placed at a very large canvas, without upholding all dimensions of it.

“Sakthi: The Chosen Hexad Book 1” ends at such a raw cliffhanger, that the readers are bound to wait for the next sequel with bated breath. This book is fresh and fascinating, and it deserves a read from all the mythical fantasy lovers on this planet!

It has number of pages so it took me a while to complete the book. It belongs to mythology genre and it is my favourite genre. It’s the first book in the series The chosen Hexad. Sakthi is the protagonist of the story. She is young, beautiful and only daughter of Devaguna. And the princess of Meghavazhi. Thevas is the name of the tribe. She was different than other girls. At the age of 15, she had dream of becoming chief. Sakthi is the chosen one. She has to full fill three specific tasks to be a chosen one and later on she was sent to Kumari Kadam. I liked the character of Kalai from beginning. As the chosen Hexad, how Sakthi emerges as a powerful personality that has been portrayed well. Read the book to unfold further plot. First of all I liked the imagination of the author. The plot is really good. It’s the combination of mythological fiction with supernatural touch. I liked the inclusion of magic component. I liked the character development of Sakthi. How she tackled all the challenges and emerges out more fierce full warrior. I liked the language and vocabulary used by the author. The narration style is smooth and captivating that immediately holds the attention of the reader and grabs that till the end. There are number of twists and turns plotted that holds the interest of the reader. Entire time I felt like watching a nice fiction movie. I am eager to read next part. Overall good one. Recommended from my side.

Good Read

This is my fourth read in mythology and fantasy genre and I got new stories and teachings from all of them. This book is about women empowerment, equality, and courageous women. And most importantly, respect for our mother tongue and education, that was a plus point.
Stories of our God and demigod was interpreted with different perspectives. Where the protagonist is chosen one and she has to prepare for the worst. Sakthi the protagonist who was trained by Trinity themselves. Shiva trained her in meditation and other things related to the inner self. And Vishnu gave her powers but before that she had to pass the test.

If you have read Kevin and Amish's mythology's interpretation. You should read this too because of the idea of bringing mythology into fiction characters where they have proved themselves and their power. This tells us that they can be as vulnerable as humans.

Here Sakthi can be referred to the goddess because she was given lion and other power to fight off evil and save other humans.

The narrative was descriptive and it's a smooth transition made it a good read.

Its about the journey of Sakthi who is unaware about the danger that looms over the world, goes about her normal day of slaying demons in the quaint little village of Meghavazhi, and proving to her tribe that she stands leagues above the rest of her people – a feat quite unique, not only to her tribe, but to the rest of the waiting world.
.
It's a blend of fantasy, mythology and mystery with an intriguing storyline. I liked the plot of the story. The way it is sequenced is interesting. Divided into 7 parts and 64 chapters, the author shares the Map at the start which makes the readers curious.
.
At first, I thought, it would be the same story, of the goddess, but when I started reading it, I was stunned with the author's creativity. The way he developed the plot and the way the story proceeded was fantastic. It made me curious and happy at the same time. For the first few chapters, It took a Lil time to connect with the story, but then, it was fabulous.
It's a bit heavy read, and I took a lot of time to complete it. With The smooth narration and engaging writing style, it's a book that you'll love.
.
Taking inspiration from the Hindu mythology, the author created the character of Sakthi beautifully. The powerful, divine, forgiving, fearless, anger and kindness.

It's about the victory against the evil. The vivid descriptions of war make it exciting. It's a book filled with adventures that you are going to love.
.
Overall, it's an outstanding book that you will love.

One genre I definitely want to explore more of is Mythological Fiction. I have been avoiding the genre a little as I feel a lack of proper background might impede my ability to enjoy the story. Well, I'm glad I picked this book up and gave it a go. This was quite enjoyable!

Sakthi starts with a disclaimer where the author talks about how the story is intended to be enjoyed without preconceived notions about the characters. It is a story carved out of mythology, but the author has invested his own imagination and made the world entirely his own.

The book has many strengths, the first being the story. It is intriguing and engaging from the get-go and the female protagonist is very strong. I love strong female leads so this was especially great for me. Sakthi, unbeknownst to herself, is the Child of Prophecy. She prepares to be the Chief of her tribe, however, the Universe seems to have other plans in store. As she fulfills her prophecy, she is brought to the Thirumurthis, the rulers of Kumari Kandam, who proclaim her as a member of the Chosen Hexad, and train her to fight in the war against the Greater Evil. The training sessions are intense and I specifically enjoyed the manipulation of the elements (air, fire, water). Since this is part of a series, it is incomplete and stops at a cliffhanger, but I am excited after that ending and want to grab the next book as soon as possible.

One other thing that I enjoyed was the vocabulary used. I love the use of beautiful words in a book and this really reeled me in. The language is otherwise lucid and the setting and time period (16000 BC) is very unique. This book doesn't occupy similar spaces with most other books and I liked how it played out on the page.

The chapters seemed to end a bit abruptly which impacted the flow a little. But, the overall experience was pretty solid. I loved the recurring theme of Women Empowerment - which was depicted not only in physical and emotional strength but also in intellectual prowess. The supporting cast of characters really help Sakthi blossom into her own personality and I found the use of the characters of beloved deities Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu, very interesting. The main focus was on Sakthi's training so we don't see a lot of these characters but I hope the upcoming books in the series would change that. Definitely looking forward to the next one!

‘Sakthi (The Chosen Hexad)’ by Vignesh SV is the first book in the series and revolves around the warrior princess of Meghavazhi. One day while on a hunt she and her tribe members have an encounter with the wildest and the scariest animal of the forest Arke and she successfully overcomes the animal and brings him alive to the village. Everyone was amazed to see this as this was the first time when a woman from the tribe has done an exceptional work of overcoming such a monster. Everyone was happy except the village head and her father Devaguna who was unhappy on thinking about the prophecy that the oracle had made. The oracle had said that Sakthi would someday complete the three tasks and that she would be one of the chosen but until now he was not very sure or ever thought that the day would come so soon. Soon, people started looking upon Sakthi as their village head and women too started believing that women too can achieve great heights with firm determination. To Devaguna’s and other elders surprise Sakthi fulfils other tasks from the prophecy after which she just disappear into thin air. What is the oracles prophecy? Why is Sakthi the chosen one? After disappearing into thin air where is Sakthi taken away and by whom? What is the greater task that Sakthi has to accomplish? To know more read ‘Sakthi’.

My Thoughts:

The plot is well written and it was amazing to see how the story unfolds in the coming pages. I liked how the author has described in detail the training sessions of Sakthi and how King Shiva does his best to train her into the ultimate warrior. The book will surely keep the readers hooked throughout the book.

The characters are well developed and I loved all of them. But the thing I liked about these characters is how the mythological characters haven’t lost their traits and at the same time they are described in such a manner where the readers will get to see how they put forward their help to Sakthi. I liked the friendship that Sakthi and Kalai and how Kalai always thinks about Sakthi first.

Language is simple and lucid and the narration is done excellently. I liked the world creation done by the author and it was a pleasure to see that the author has also put magic into the world including some magical spell which is a surprise for Sakthi as well as for us readers.

The book cover and the title of the book are totally apt to the book.

Overall, I truly loved and enjoyed reading this book and would surely recommend it to others. Also, can’t wait to get my hands on the second book in the series.

SAKTHI
The Chosen Hexad Series Book 1
by Vignesh SV

Format: Kindle
My Ratings 5/5

Truely Amazing Fantasy Filled Mythological Fiction

🔱 Sakthi, a young brave and beautiful princess of the Thevas tribe of Meghavazhi, is no ordinary girl, who is destined to be an inspiration to not only her tribe but to serve a greater purpose to the whole World. She is probably the first woman warrior and her quest begins when she satisfies the foretold prophecies and finds herself in a different land, only to learn that she is a Chosen One, fourth of the Chosen Hexad. She gets trained slowly to fight the great evil, by the other Chosen Ones, the Thrimurtis- King Shiva, King Vishnu and King Brahma who ruled Kumari Kandam together. She also befriends Nandi and Hanuman, and succeeds in effectively learning the skills from her tutors. Does she really prove up to the expectations of being one of the Chosen Hexad despite being a woman?Does she succeed in controlling her powers that the universe has bestowed upon her? Is she ready to fight the greater evil along with the other two Chosen Ones, who are yet to arrive?

🔱 The story is told in a third person perspective and written in a simple language adorned with a very gripping narrative, consisting of 7 Parts.

🔱 It is set in 16000BC and a Map provided at the beginning of the book, proved effective.

🔱The names of the places in Tamil and the description of the landscapes, the people, culture added more beauty to the narration.

🔱 The cover of the book is sparky and attractive.

🔱 I actually felt like reading a translated version of a Tamil Historical Novel for the first few pages, but gradually it changed as the plot heated up.

🔱The writing style of the author was so gratifying as one could find that every little detail in the story is carefully drawn, without losing its grip and twists.

This book is thoroughly enjoyable, especially for a fan of Mythological and Fantasy Fiction like me.

Looking forward for the next book in the series!

Sakthi by Vignesh SV is the first book of the series chosen Hexad.
In this book the names of the characters are taken from the characters of hindu mythology and if you would see carefully there are even few references of the same in the story but irrespective of weather you are aware about the hindu mythology or not you would find this story equally thrilling and exciting as me.
Sakthi is the princess of meghavazhi, ans she is also the first woman warrrior of her tribe thevas, and the world . Sakthi is a a very brave , beautiful, fierce and vivacious women. She aims to become the cheif of her tribe .
But unknown to her she is one of the chosen one and she unknowingly ends up fulfilling the prophecy and is summoned to the kingdom of kumari. You will be able to witness the moments of patriarchy in between like when she is summoned devala refers her as weak because she is a girl but just by her voice she proves him wrong , And from there starts her journey with the thiruthirumurtis, to fight what's comming.
We have all been used to imagining particularly about shiva, vishnu and brahma, to keep this as entertaining as it is in the starting you need to keep your mind and imagination open cause the narration fluctuates from its smooth and interesting pace at some points but the story won't let you leave.
My excitement did not Deteriorate one bit throughout the book.
I can not wait for the next book in the series.

Fear intermingled with the amorous charms of the wonderful land of Kumari Kandam brings forth a stimulating new experience for Sakthi as she gets completely taken in by the people, magic, and wealth of new changes that she has to face. Can she, a young innocent from an obscure village, navigate through the trials and tribunals to earn her place as a worthy member of the Chosen Hexad and stand with the Kings to face the wrath of the Greater Evil? What astounding adventures await the brave princess of Meghavazhi?

The genre of th book is fantasy fiction. The book is based on the characters of Hindu mythology. The book is about Sakthi one the best warrior of Thevas, a tribe. The book also shows women empowerment.

It had an engaging plot! The author has given birth new characters which is genius! The characters will surely keep you turning pages for more. The book is packed with action which will keep you hooked to the book. Although a fantasy fiction it is packed with thriller adventures, action and more!

I really really enjoyed this book! It's a short but such a amazing read!

Just give it a try you guys it won't disappoint you!

The cover is attractive and the title is apt.
The strength of Sakthi is inspiring.

"𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮."

☀️My first mythology and so good!
It's the first book to The Chosen Hexad Series. It revolves around a young girl named Sakthi, who belong to the tribe of Thevas. She's a charming and high-spirited princess of Meghavazhi, the strongest and the bravest woman of the Thevas as well.
However, she was born for big things and many miracles were on her way.
The Oracle has foreseen it ages ago that she's The Chosen One among the Chosen Hexad to save the world from the greater evil and soon the universe will be taking her for the Great war.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️It is written explicitly and uninterruptedly. Words are meticulously chosen which makes it a tireless read. Every emotion is well expressed. Language of this book is quite magical which could be read easily by anyone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️Story is very well crafted. There is a smoothness in the story which will not cause obstruction in between the chapters. Every chapter is completely enchanting to read. It's full of magic and great things happening around which is so alluring to read.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️Each character is portrayed so well, neither too stretched it is nor too short.
I loved most of the characters!
⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️The book also take us through the time when women were only supposed to cook food and cleaning. But all this changes when Sakthi stood as a warrior. She sets an example for every woman in her tribe.
She proves that women are capable of choosing their future and that they were meant for the greater good and that men and women were equals in every right. She fearlessly put forth her thoughts about men and women needed to be treated equally.
It was fascinating to read when she defeats an Arke in a fight and make other women of the tribe believe that they can do more than cooking and cleaning.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️I would definitely recommend this one if you love reading mythology!

" 𝙄 𝙗𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙠𝙩𝙝𝙞, 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙢 𝙄 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙮, 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙜𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙈𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙤 𝙙𝙤 𝙄. "

This part is taken from the acknowledgment part of the book. It's kind of my habit to read the story later and rest minor parts previously. It gives me proper knowledge about the central idea of the story. "SAKTHI" by Author Vignesh SV is undoubtedly a brilliant creation and this is the first book of "The Chosen Hexad". In this story, Sakthi is an unbeatable sensation of reality and women's power.

The complete story revolves around a young girl's journey towards the Chosen Hexad. The story consists of Magic, superpower, war, adventure, training, confidence, mysteries, tasks, surprises, responsibilities, bravery, and so on. The book has everything a reader wants to read. Without any doubt, it was a great time with the adventure of "Sakthi".

The author's writing style is not so lucid but standard words are really good for my vocabulary skill and I have noted down them too. From the begging to the end, the pace of the story was medium to fast. I have enjoyed every single page of this story and a really adventurous fantasy this is.

Characters are very well developed and defined. The cover is perfect and the title is. The author has done a great job and I really want to appreciate that effort. Its ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 read and I will highly recommend this book to all.

Sakthi is the story of a female warrior who has risen to the occasion to fulfil her destiny and save the world. The story begins with the introduction of Sakthi, the princess of Meghavazhi as an extraordinary warrior. She unknowingly completes the triad, the three tasks which were set forth to identify the next Chosen Hexad fulfilling the prophecy. It is her destiny to save the world from impending doom and destruction of evil. The rest of the story follows the protagonist in her subsequent training and battle.

The story ends by laying the foundation for the next book of this series. Although this book alone has a complete story, the author has successfully ended the story in the cliffhanger. The striking feature of this story is it's pictorial description of every scenes, especially the battle scenes. The story lacks conversations which make the story a monotonous one in the beginning. I felt that the story has more width and lacks depth. It touches many unrelated things but the author rarely focuses on the emotions of characters.

I really liked the idea of naming the main characters from Hindu mythology. Apart from the names, they all are very much human-like. But they have acquired certain special skills through meticulous practice.

Altogether it is a fast-paced good mythological fiction.

Name:- Sakthi- The Chosen Hexas
Author:- Vignesh SV

"Struggle is the foundation of every victory and only sacrifice brings total victory".
📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚
War, coupled with impending doom, lurks in the distance as the trio of Kings get ready for the battle to save the world – Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma must race against time and fulfil the prophecy that calls for the six members of the Chosen Hexad to face the ominous threat, death, and destruction promised by the Greater Evil. Can they summon their warriors and get them ready before it's too late?
On the other side of the tumultuous country, young Sakthi, blissfully unaware about the danger that looms over the world, goes about her normal day of slaying demons in the quaint little village of Meghavazhi, and proving to her tribe that she stands leagues above the rest of her people – a feat quite unique, not only to her tribe, but to the rest of the waiting world. Her whole world, however, comes crumbling down on her when she unwittingly finds herself completing the triad, the three tasks which were set forth to identify her as one of the Chosen Hexad.

The book, Sakthi is one that keeps the reader hooked till the very end. This book is ideal for readers fond of Adventure. The protagonist, Sakthi, is a brave woman who is a courageous warrior. She has been described as a compassionate woman who sometimes acted spontaneously but realised her mistake even faster. She is curious by nature and a keep learner. Sakthi gets picked by the universe as The Chosen One, to fulfil her destiny of defeating the Greater Evil. She is taken to the astounding kingdom of Kumari Kandam where she meets the other Chosen Ones, part of the Hexad yet to be completed. Sakthi learns to train to defeat the Asuras, children of the Greater Evil while taking part in other adventures- she learns controlling the elements, fights the Asuras and even forms her own little black hole!

For Sakthi, this all is new. She is away from her home, Meghavazhi. The people of Kumari Kandam are very nice towards her and Sakthi makes new friends there- Nandi, Hanuman and develops an intimate yet special bond with King Shiva.

Personally, I thought the book was filled with adventure and kept me reading on. Though I feel as if sometimes the story went too fast and did not describe Sakthi's feelings. It focused too much on the plot while it could've expressed a little more on Sakthi's feelings. The place was new to her and while she grew to trust the Thirumurtis- the three Kings of Kumari Kandam, it did not feel as if she was in a new place while trying to adjust.

On the other hand, the overall plot was extremely well set and I JUST SIMPLY CANNOT wait for the next book to release. Book 1 has ended on a mysterious note, keeping the readers guessing and willing to read the next book. The excitement reaches its peak as the book comes to an end. Throughout the book, it gave a sense of adventure and mystery.

The cover is extremely beautiful and well-set according to the theme and plot. The title could've been more creative but it is well-suited to the book too.

Whenever the Humanity is in Trouble & threatened by the evil, there would always be a protector who is born to save the Humanity.
When the evil is too Strong & about to wage a war, there are protectors all around the world called 'The chosen One's' who come together & fight against evil.
Sometimes The chosen one can be anyone irrespective of gender & Place.
Sometimes being The chosen one can be the proudest thing among the people yet at the same time can be the toughest thing as per individual.

"Sakthi" is a mythological suspense fiction..
An usual girl from the Tribe holds great strength within her.
She is inspiration for the female folk of her kingdom since she was the finest female warrior who could easily defeat a male warrior.
When her bravery was being praised, there was something that was testing her ability constantly about which Sakthi's father was worried about.
Sakthi was born for a purpose but ...was she actually The chosen one ?
Can a simple Tribal girl who was just better than the rest can be the best warrior to fight against evil to save the Humanity?

The beginning of the story is made in a heroic way which introduces the readers to historic fiction world where there is a Kingdom called Meghavazhi which has the Tribe called The Thevas.
The first part is too gripping.
As the story proceeds, Sakthi is gradually introduced to her responsibilities in a different magical world which makes us understand the relation of story with Mythological factor.
Every single fictional character especially fron the Thevas is brought out in impressive manner.
I totally loved it how Author has narrated about "Simma" and balanced the essense of it.
Killing in the name of Tradition is avoided & the messenge is conveyed in a very sensible way.
The book deals with the Transformation of Sakthi from a Tribal warrior to the symbol of Power.

My personal favorite character in the story is Kalai, as I found her brave, Intelligent & sensible..
Even though the book is quite slow paced in the middle but the ending chapters again made me curious.
I finished the book but the story is yet to be told.
Readers still have the opportunity to experience more suspense which is maintained at the last page.
The language is easy to understand.
Being a female reader, I loved the narration of Sakthi's strength which stood as an example that even Females do has strength & we just need to choose how we are going to use it.
Strong enough to represent & to be the leader or strong enough to tolerate & hide the abilities, well it is in our hand.
The cover is eye-catchy.
Overall it was a curious read & strongly recommended to everyone.

𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆: Sakthi (The Chosen Hexad Book 1)
𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓: Vignesh SV
𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: Fantasy, Mythology
𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒓:
𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕: Kindle
𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔: 219
𝑴𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔: Sakthi, the warrior princess of Meghavazhi, is suddenly summoned to the land of Kumari Kandam, after she performs three tasks. There she learns that she is one of the six members of the Chosen Hexad, whi is destined to face the omnious Greater Evil. The Thirumurthi or the trio of Kings, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma must train Sakthi so that she can earn her rightful place in the Hexad.
𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: As soon as I read the blurb, I realized that this is going to be an interesting story. If you like me, have done some serious research into Indian Mythology and I am not talking about just knowing the names and simply worshipping them, but actually learning about every legend that is associated with each God and demigod in Indian Mythology, then you will find there are lot of elements in the book that resemble the legends. A few examples would be Shiva training Sakthi on meditation, giving her the knowledge of Yoga, Vishnu being blue due to an experiment, why Sakthi rides a lion, etc etc. The Shiva-Sakthi dance was so iconic.
So you see the resemblances. It is like the characters of Indian Mythology were taken and placed in a different universe altogether.
It is an interesting concept to consider that the trio of kings and the others are actually humans who have attained God-like powers through training and meditation. There are other factors but this is the crux.
I loved the story, I have no qualms about it. The interaction between Shiva and Sakthi was the most appealing part of the book for me, apart from Sakthi's fight scenes. The dance scene was so sensual and beautiful, it had me all rosy eyed. The characterization was good. I hope Kalai's character is explored more in the subsequent books.
But I couldn't feel a connection with the narrative in some places. Maybe it was the lack of appropriate amount of dialogues or the narration was too bland. Like what was going on was being robotically described without the ascent or descent of emotions involved in the scene.
But the story was interesting, and although I had to make up for the dry parts with my over active imagination, but I stayed on course, because the author has penned a beautiful story that captures the readers attention. Now upto the second book to find out the rest. Till then folks, pick this one up, for an adventure story.

Before starting the book the important portion of note from the author states that you should forget everything or the general concepts so that you don't take unnecessary reference by just reading the names of the characters which is taken from the famous mythological or religious characters. But the named used by the author gives you the basic connection of story relating to the general knowledge of the character framework. Shakti, a princess of a Place called Meghavazhi. She although being a female member of the society is not weak in terms of works and appearance. She is actually a strong female protagonist with the expertise of all kind of hard works and fight also The beauty of her is so enchanting that anyone can't take his eyes off from her as described by the author. She is the epitome of courage and constantly tried her best to prove the worth of her as a competent inheritance. Everyone in the place admires her. Now here comes the thrill and twist of the plot where she gets to discover the worth of her life by not just protection of the place but for the protection of the humankind at large. She is magically taken to the place for teaching her magical powers to make her able to fight against the evil and the journey through there is a journey of a new life and discovering herself in a new way. The Shiv, Vishnu all helped her to gain the super concentration and give him powers to fight back the evils of the world.
This book used some really famous religious name but the names are justified from the imagination of the author. I somehow told you the full construction of the story but this is not enough. Why she is the chosen one! And how she got the powers and who gave all these by what means! These are the questions that came into my mind when I was reading the book and so I couldn't even take the book back to the shelf. it's not a long read or monotonous one to make you bore rather it will take you to a destination of the imagination of the author..the language used here is classic with a lucid description of the same. If you need something which is a thriller, war- story, mythology and good plot and storyline then this is it.you can go for it for sure. The book is divided into 64 chapters for a better explanation and understanding every detail of the story. To know more about the story in all details just get the book.

Firstly I would acknowledge the fact that I really like the map especially because it was colourful and usually in fantasy books you don't find a colourful map. This was a very well thought out world and the map helped a lot. There are 7 parts of the book. It is a historical cum urban fantasy with loads of Hindu mythology. In comparison to other fantasy books it might be shorter of over 200 pages but the content is heavy so it took me a while to get into the world and understand. The ornamentation in the language of the book I think was unnecessary. The words used for heavy but understandable and since I am an Avid reader it did not pose a lot of problem with me because the writing style was in tune with the vocabulary used but if you are a beginner I will not recommend this book to you. Moreover this is a young adult book, so using such language is practically superfluous.
The chapters are really short but full of important information that will be used in the book again and again so you have to pay close attention to whatever is going on in the book. There is a point in the book when our protagonist is under practice sessions and I loved each and every. That was the main selling point for me because it was executed extremely well. Honestly speaking it could have gone very very wrong had not been accomplished well.
The concept of the book was very unique and something I have never come across so I can easily give one point of rating for the concept itself.
The Chosen One is a trope that is used or rather I would say it is overused every time so what happened is at some points of time there were instances in the book when I was getting perplexed and unable to connect with the story as a whole. I liked how at the end of the book there is a lot of character development in Sakthi which was very important because I am a person who wants to see character development in the protagonist from the beginning of the book to the end of the book; so overall if you are looking for something new and adventuring you might as well check this out.

The book Sakthi by Vignesh SV is the first book in the series of The Chosen Hexad and follows the story of a woman named Sakthi who lived in a village named Meghavazhi and who's father was the chief of their Tribe. She was the first female warrior of her tribe and was the bravest and the cleverest among her tribe. She gave her best to protect her tribe from attacks until one day she came to know about her true ambitions of her life. She was among the six people who were chosen by the universe to fight against the greatest evil. The three great kings i.e. King Vishnu, King Shiva and King Bramha explained her that they were the first three and she was the fourth one and the rest two were yet to be discovered. At first she was not ready to accept that a simple girl like her can ever be the special one to protect the world. Her training started soon under the guidance of all the three kings and as time passes, she realised her importance in the group and was learning everything even faster. She had to learn meditation, magic, fighting and much more to get ready to fight the greatest evil. Will she be able to accomplish her training by staying away from her father and her tribe? Will she discover her true power and use them to protect the world? Read the book to know!!

The cover of the book is beautiful and the name itself indicates what the story is about. The book contains 64 chapters devided into 7 phrases of her life. The author has done a great job and the book is written perfectly. The language is easy to understand and is a great fantasy choice for beginners. The book will keep you engaged with it till the very end and you can literally watch everything happening in front of your eyes. It is one of the best book that I've read this year so far and I completely loved it♥️. I'm so much excited for the 2nd part of the series and I'm looking forward to read it as soon as it arrives!! Definitely recommended to every fantasy lover!💯💯
