Three quick and spicy books about the men and women in the Barton Oakes Settlement.
The Hunter - The Hunter takes place in the USA during a rebellion of sorts where a group of like minded people have formed a community in a place they have named Barton Oakes. Oscar Mathis has taken on the role of leader of men who hunt and kill animals for the community as also serve as protectors in the case their community would be attacked. Sara is the daughter of the leader of the community and in her pre-revolution life was a dentist. Oscar and Sara have become a romantic item even though their relationship is still in the early phase but when he brings Sara a surprise gift, she realizes how much they mean to each other.
The Doctor - When is it appropriate to move on after your baby Daddy deserts you? Maria thought she would feel guilty when she started having feelings for Logan, the Settlement's doctor but they just weren't there. Finally she get's a clue that Logan might have feelings for her other than just a doctor/patient and once he acts on them you get the spice, steam and sexy scenes you crave from all of Elizabeth Fyre's books.
The Protector - My go to author whenever I need a hot, sexy but quick read. This is another book that can be read in one setting but does not skip on a good storyline in addition to the spicy sex scenes. In this book we find a another strong female character in Tillie who has been widowed by the fighting that sent men, women and families scrambling to find a settlement where they could regain some semblance of the life they all left behind when war broke out. Henry is a member of the security team that protects the community and the two have had a crush on each other but have yet to act on their feelings. Christmas Eve holds several surprises for the community as well as for Henry and Tillie when they are attacked but there is also a chance at new beginnings. Again, great quick steamy read that I know you will enjoy.

I enjoyed the stories in this box set. They were all based on couples who met during a time of chaos in the U.S. where people were fighting and everything had changed. Each story was filled with danger and excitement that the couple they were based on went through. The stories were very steamy and each contained a different story line so you always felt you were reading something new. I appreciated the fact that the characters in each story were mentioned or had parts in the other stories ad well so the reader felt like they knew the settlement that the characters were a part of. I received a free copy of this set as member of the author's ARC team and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

This is a collection of three short but steamy reads. Each one individual but from the same town, or settlement, as it were.
You have the Hunter, which deals with the creation of the settlement and along with it the relationship of Oscar and Sara. The Doctor, no points for guessing the profession of the gorgeous Logan, who find his muse in Maria although she is not quite so quick to work it out. Finally you have the Protector which sees Henry and Tillie come together.
These are all strong women and while these are shorter stories which can be read in one go there is no skimping on the story line. There is some sexy scenes as you would expect of this fab author and she honestly doesn't disappoint.

The Hunter:
Oscar & Sara story was a sexy one. Tough guy Oscar who has a soft spot for his Sara. Willing to risk his life to help her with a item she needs to get her Dentistry up and running.
The Doctor:
Logan & Maria have such a sweet & steamy story. No woman wants to be ditched when they find out they are having a baby. But to find a man who loves you as is? Swoon!
The Protector:
Henry & Tillie's story got me a bit more in the feels. Mother of 3 in a would of chaos, misses her husband. But Henry shows her she is still loved.
I love Elizabeth Fyre! I am pretty new to her and I just love her books. I did receive this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

I really enjoyed the Hunter and the Protector. The Doctor not so much. In the Hunter and the Protector, the male leads did something special for their woman. The Doctor really didn't except for sex. Yeah he's a doctor but that's a profession so what comes from it doesn't count. Anyways good short stories. If you're looking for something simple but steamy, not to mention a fast read. It's right up your alley.

3 amazing books in 1 package plus another perfectly steamy cover.
I have loved each of the settlement stories individually and am so excited to have them all together in 1 place!
What struck me, besides the tablet meltworthy passion, was how the characters are all trying to make the best of their lives in their new normal where survival is not a given. Carpe diem!
A must have for Elizabeth's fans!

Elizabeth Fyre really knows how to stoke the fires of desire in her readers. Once I started reading this I couldn't put it down till I was done. And I was left hot and bothered to boot! If you're looking for something steamy yet endearing and yet intriguing, read The Settlement and get enthralled. Absolutely delicious😋!

This was amazing!!! Author did an awesome job telling these characters story. Well detailed with lots of steamy chemistry between characters. Just the right amount of drama and suspense. Kept my interest throughout. Highly recommend.

Book 1 The Hunter was such a sweet and steamy story. Sara is a doctor and is seeing Oscar who is a hunter. He really listens to her and tries to do things to make her happy. The chemistry between the two is quite sexy. It really was a really romantic read since they so obviously adore each other. Book 2 The Doctor is a steamy sexy read as Dr. Logan and pregnant Marie finally get together. Their attraction to each other is super steamy and will make your panties melt! Book 3 The Protector was super steamy as security detail Henry and gardener of sorts Tillie give in on their attraction to each other though they keep getting interrupted. As a security issue happens, they both still manage to find some happiness afterwards. This was a sexy selection of steamy novellas!
