A short sweet and steamy read. I loved the characters and the story. I did not want the story to end I was enjoying it so much.

4.5 : I really, really liked this story but it was at least one more heated scene too short. 😏 I just couldn't get enough of these two!

I'd lived all of the emotions encompassing a passionate love affair in the space of a few seconds
Pining For My Friend's Dad by Daniella Cole with Lauren Milson is a charming, sweet and dirty sexy older man/younger woman short story. It is about Bryan Masters and Liz. When Liz's parents moved to a New York because her dad's job transferred him she met Chloe while out jogging one morning. They became jogging buddies and best friends. Liz's twenty-first birthday was a week after she met Chloe and that was the night she met Bryan, Chloe's father, when he came to pick her up after the party her parent's had thrown for her. There was an instant yearning for Bryan but as he is Chloe's father Liz is just dreaming and not doing.
Bryan is a police officer with an ex-wife and his twenty'ish daughter. Since the divorce he has dated but nothing serious. That changes when he first sees and then meets Liz while picking up Chloe. He can only think of her and since then has been in a funk according to Chloe.
One night when Liz's parents are away for the weekend she has friends over for a party. Chloe leaves a bit early but asks Liz if she wants help getting people out of the house. When Liz says no Chloe starts for home. Only she phones her father and asks if he can go to Liz's and help break up the party, which he does in a flash. When he finds when he gets there is Liz sitting at the edge of the pool and the house dark. Liz takes a dip as Bryan watches her. Then Liz invites Bryan in for a beer and tries to seduce him, which he rebuffs for then thinks twice about it. They end up getting wet and wild in more ways than one as both of them can no longer fight their mutual attraction and need for each other. But what will happen when Chloe finds out?
I enjoyed this book as the story-line was interesting and the characters were really wonderful. I would recommend this book to other readers.

Now, Chloe’s folks are divorced married young while Bryan was a cop and her mom is in law school. Her mom had big dreams, her dad liked his life in his hometown. So, her mom moved to the city, and the high life that comes with it. Chloe is down to earth with champagne taste. Liz is born into champagne taste, but when they moved to the small town, it agrees with her more. The simple life.

Liz has been attracted to her friend's father since she met him when he picked Chloe up from a party one time. When Liz has a party when her parent's are away her friend Chloe has her father stop by after she leaves to help her friend get people on their way once the party is over. However when he arrives its just Liz there everyone else is gone. He goes to check on her by the pool and they start talking. Soon thing heat up between them and tries to stop it when he thinks that she might have had too much to drink. When she tells him that she hasn't had anything to drink he gives in and its the start of something between them. But what will his daughter think about them being together? What will Liz's parents say?
This is a great story that will hook you in with the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I really enjoyed this read from Daniella Cole. I have read someone of the ones she has done with Lauren Milson. I enjoyed reading about Liz and Bryan along with Chloe. Liz meets Bryan from being friends with Chloe. One night when her parents are away Liz throws a party. Chloe was there in her way home Chloe calls her dad and asks him if he will run over to Liz's and make sure everyone has left. He agrees and goes over by the time he gets there Liz has already gotten everyone to leave. Read to find out what happens that night. I sort of loved this short story. It was entertaining and sweet. The characters were likable. Chloe was an awesome daughter and friend. She was very supportive and helpful. Brian and Liz meet through Chloe. Liz proceeds to pine for Brian while Brian pines for Liz (even though he knows that he shouldn't). The way that they got together was great. I wish there was another epilogue further out, but I liked how their story ended. Their happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

This was a super quick and light read. It’s hot and steamy, there’s not much plot to speak of, and there isn’t really much drama or conflict either. There’s not a lot to sink your teeth into but it was a fun read.

Sigh...
A very well written, naughty, quick read. In that initial moment when they first saw each other, when they first met, it was the beginning of something, anything, yet everything. I enjoyed that the daughter knew, and even admits to helping things along, but only wants the best for them, as well as her mother. It’s sweet and naughty, but true. Enjoy!

Great story line for a quick read. David and Bailey mature adult's that their feelings were out in the open for everyone to see 👀. Beautiful 💡 story. I'm a sucker for this trope and for a man in a uniform. It was okay. There was approximately 2% substance and took about 10 minutes to read, so if you're looking for low drama, instant gratification, and a fast paced taboo read, this might be for you.
