ইমদাদুল হক মিলনের সবচাইতে জনপ্রিয় উপন্যাস ‘ভালোসার সুখ দুঃখ’। ১৯৯৩ এর বইমেলায় প্রকাশিত। সে বছরই বাংলা একাডেমীর কর্তৃপক্ষ মেলার প্রতি সপ্তাহে কোন বই বেস্ট সেলার তা ঘোষণা করতে শুরু করে। প্রথম সপ্তাহে বেস্ট সেলার হয় ‘ভালোবাসার সুখ দুঃখ’। তারপর শুরু হয় এই বই নিয়ে তুলকালাম কাণ্ড। পুলিশ পাহারায় লাইন ধরে বিক্রি হয় ‘ভালোবাসার সুখ দুঃখ’। এক মাসের মেলায় বিক্রি হয়ে যায় চল্লিশ পঁয়তাল্লিশ হাজার কপি। সারা বছরে বিক্রি হয় প্রায় সত্তর হাজার কপি। বিক্রির দিক দিয়ে সম্ভবত ‘ভালোবাসার সুখ দুঃখ’ এখনও সর্বশীর্ষে। আশ্চর্য ঘটনা মাত্র চারদিনে উপন্যাসটি লিখেছিলেন ইমদাদুল হক মিলন। এই বই এখনও খুঁজে বেড়ায় পাঠক। বিশেষ করে প্রেমিক প্রেমিকারা। নতুন আঙ্গিকে তাদের জন্য আবার প্রকাশিত হলো ‘ভালোবাসার সুখ দুঃখ’।

Imdadul Haq Milon (Bangla: ইমদাদুল হক মিলন) is a Bangladeshi novelist and editor of the daily Kaler Kantho. Milon graduated from Jagannath College. He went to Germany and after returning, wrote one of his premier works, Poradhinota. Milon authored books on classic stories, historical writings, romantic stories and other genres. He also works as a TV personality in a talk show called Ki Kotha Tahar Sone. He was honored with Bangla Academy Award in 1992.

পুরনো দিনের বাংলা সিনেমার কাহিনী 🤦‍♂️। তবে পড়তে ভালো লেগেছে। বাড়ি যাওয়ার সময় কোনো বই নেই নি সাথে৷ আম্মুর আলমারির ড্র‍য়ার খুলে বইটা পেলাম। আগেও হুমায়ূন আহমেদ, শীর্ষেন্দুর বই পেয়েছিলাম৷ যাইহোক সময় কেটেছে ভালো বইটি পড়তে পড়তে।

ভালবাসার সুখ দুঃখ - রোমান্টিক উপন্যাস

An awesome small piece of great romance. The story is only 80 pages long but it was able to grab attention from the very beginning. It is a mixture of a complete love story which is triangle one. Jewel, the hero runs away from Dhaka to his friend's native home. Because he married his lover Tanya and Tanya's brothers hired some goons for Jewel. Meanwhile Jewel's friend's sister fell for Jewel also. A perfect combination and many perspective was shown in the story. How Jewel was so anxious, how Tanya struggled, how their friends helped them, what was the perspective of Tanya's brothers and how a young village typical girl feel a great deal of love was beautifully picturized in the novel. I must say this novel touched my heart. One notable dialougue of the novel : "এটাই জগতের নিয়ম, দুজনের মধ্যে একজন হাসে আর অন্যজন পায় দুঃখ"
