This enchanting collection of stories gathers together legends from across Ireland in one special volume. Drawn from The History Press' popular Folk Tales series, herein lies a treasure trove of tales from a wealth of talented storytellers. From fairies, giants and vampires to changelings and witches, this book celebrates the distinct character of Ireland's different customs, beliefs and dialects, and is a treat for all who enjoy a well-told story.
This is a book of Irish Folk Tales. With any anthology, there are going to be some things you prefer to others. The same with this book of folk stories, tales and legends with Irish roots.
The author brings a lot of stories that I had not come across before, some more interesting than others. Well written and easy to sit and read the odd one, two or a few of an evening.
Good collection dealing with various things from Irish folktales and one I would be happy to recommend.
