I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Murphy is in Baghdad for one reason to get Ambassador Westbrook somewhere safe, after messages have been intercepted planning to hold him for ransom. But when he announces that his daughter is working as an intern in the city as well it’s information they didn’t know. Nor was he expecting that one look and he’d want to claim her as his for always. Will Murphy get to her in time before the planned abduction takes place?
Natalie is living in Baghdad supposedly to intern, although that’s not quite true, she has a position with the NSA knowing her father wouldn’t be happy she’s been keeping that to herself. After seeing an explosion where her father works her only thought is to get to him quickly, she wasn’t expecting for someone trying to abduct her. She is saved by Murphy, a man she’s never met before, they connect immediately and after a passionate encounter she doesn’t want to let him go. Will they find their way back to each other?
Great start to a new series, characters fit together flawlessly. Safe, steamy read. 4*.

So, I'm only 12% in and we already have this whole "larger than life" situation at hands - concretely, the lives are in danger, H is sent to protect the h...okay, BUT then there's this...the heroine is 23, she works for NSA (*odd look*) and she's a virgin...*pause, deep breath*
he's a hardcore SEAL, 33, and he's willing...duh?!
Jeeeezus...why on Earth did I pick up this book? What on Earth...urgh!

Book 1 in the new Alpha Force Elite series and it was a great start. Quick fast paced romance. Murphy and Natalie were so good. Loved the chemistry between them. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Murphy
Wow I'm impressed and also super excited to find aithor Mazzy King. Sje is a brand new author for me. Murphy is my absolute favorite type of story a short military instalove. It doesn't get much better than that in my opinion. It has a happy for now ending but I'm betting that we see this couple again later in the series.
Murphy is completely safe and free of abuse and cheating, no ow/om drama, no others after meeting. Celibate hero and virgin heroine. I can't wait to see what comes next for this group of military men!

Finding love in the most unlikely of places and time for him to start living
Welcome to the world of Alpha Force Elite. This is a little known branch of the military service which is a small, elite squad of operators that report directly to POTUS. This is where the men are all Alpha and are big, strong, smart, willing to lay down their lives and are very protective and possessive of the women they fall in love with.
Up first is the story of Sergeant Brian Murphy and Natalie Westbrook.
Brian is thirty-three years old and joined the Army when he was eighteen. After four tours and then joining AFE three years ago he is what you would call a lifer. Brian has been sent to Baghdad to extract the Ambassador-at-Large Saylor Westbrook and get him on a helicopter to Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. There has been too much dark chatter of a plan to kidnap and ransom the Ambassador and POTUS is not taking any chances of that happening.
Natalie is twenty-three years old and is what you would call a child prodigy. That is in languages as she is fluent in eight of them which does not include English. Her father is in the Foreign Service, specifically as the Ambassador-at-Large and has been working in Baghdad for the last year. Natalie arrived in Baghdad a few weeks ago for an international business internship, well that is what she has told her father. She is actually a new recruit for the NSA and has been sent to Baghdad to work as a translator since she understands the languages.
When Murphy arrives at the US Embassy in Baghdad to meet and move the Ambassador they are hit with an explosive. After checking in with his team to see what they want done he is told to let the Ambassador's security team move him to a secure location. Murphy also tells the team that the Ambassador's daughter is in Baghdad and he is not leaving without her. This is a surprise to everyone as no one know she was there, as it was kept very secret. So as the Ambassador is being whisked away by the security team he gives Murphy a picture of Natalie and her address, telling him to find her and keep her safe.
Natalie is walking home after work and as usual she visits a local market to buy some street food for dinner. Just as she is leaving there is a large sound and the ground shakes. When she looks up she sees that the roof of the US Embassy is on fire and she starts running, only thinking of her father. But along the way she ends up getting into a jam with some men who want to kidnap her. Lucky for Natalie there is a man who rescues her and whisks her to her secure home. Thus Murphy and Natalie meet for the first time.
If this book is what is to come for this series then Mazzy King has jumped into a whole new world of amazing stories. Murphy is a great story that has action, drama, violence, family, emotion, intensity and of course a whole lot of hot and sizzling chemistry and sexiness. This is a well written and very engaging story with nicely developed characters all woven into a short story. I loved Murphy and look forward to reading the next in the AFE series.

Mazzy King penned another strong and delightful military romance series, Alpha Force Elite. In Murphy we meet two charming lead characters—Natalie Westbrook and Brian Murphy--and a cast of alpha males from the special joint unit, Alpha Force Elite (AFE). Murphy is on a mission to retrieve the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan. He is surprised to learn that the Ambassador’s adult daughter is in Baghdad and needs to locate her, so she is safely extracted. Once he sees her and interacts with her, Murphy knows that she is meant to be his forever love. Will that happen? Will he be able to extract her to safety? What happens when they return to the States? To discover what happens to Natalie and Brian, you must read this book.
I genuinely enjoyed Ms. King’s mastering in developing primary and secondary characters with depth and the moral fortitude to do what is the correct thing to do. I appreciated that there is a 10-year-age difference between Natalie and Brian. I also enjoyed how she sprinkled a little bit of suspense into this romantic plot with the attempted kidnapping of Natalie. This plays a critical role in their romantic journey. Ms. King use strong conversational and internal dialog is twofold. One is to show the inner essence of Natalie and Brian. The second is to move the plot along. As in other first books in a series, other key individuals are introduced. I liked the way Ms. King does this. She uses the correct balance of sharing information to tease readers into wondering more about them. Additionally, her use of epilogues, nicely ties up her plot while teasing readers for the next book in the series. Well done, Ms. King.

This is another fun new series by the very talented Mazzy King I love these books as they are fast fun that takes about thirty minutes to read They are perfect for when you don't have a lot of time because i hate walking away from half read books There is plenty of adventure and dram and sizzling hot heat in this fun romance

As soon as I finished this book, I immediately wanted the next! Plenty of action, a dash of adventure, heated encounter, and two people facing mortality and falling in love. Murphy certainly wasn't expecting Natalie when he shows up to evacuate an Ambassador. Not only wasn't he briefed that the guy had a daughter, but Murphy didn't even know she was in town. Natalie is gifted; languages come easy to her. She just never expected love would come as easily, especially with a man she barely knows. But the heart wants what it wants, and these two are in it to last. With a swoon worthy hero and a sweetheart of a heroine, this is a story not to be missed! Fun, sexy, sweet, and intriguing - I cannot wait to see where we go next!

Wish this book was longer and you got a little more build up of their time together. Everything happens real fast. Murphy is part of an elite military group, he has been tasked with bringing the US ambassador home from Baghdad. He doesn’t know that the ambassador’s daughter Natalie is there too. There is an explosion at the embassy and Murphy goes to find Natalie while security takes the ambassador to safety. Natalie who is secretly a NSA employee, is attacked on the street, where Murphy saves her. They go back to her apartment where they have sex to celebrate being alive. They have to escape during the middle of the night and Murphy is shot. Epilogue is one month later, the ambassador and Natalie come to see Murphy stateside. And the two profess their love.

This is book one in the Alpha Force Elite series. Murphy is on a 'simple' mission, it turns out there is nothing simple about it. He has to get Ambassador Westbrook to safety due to chatter but this comes with a couple twists. One of which no one was aware of, his daughter, Natalie is in Bangladesh as well, he is not leaving her behind. Murphy and Natalie's meeting has instant chemistry all over it. A great short story sure to leave you with a goofy smile on your face. A military man who has given his life to serve his country finds love where it is least expected. Enjoy!

This is a great story. I couldn't put it down. I only wish it was longer because I enjoyed Murphy and Natalie so much. I always enjoy reading stories by Mazzy King.

When there is an attack on the American Embassy, Brian has to safety oversee to the extraction of Saylor and to his surprise he is informed that Saylor's daughter Natalie needs to be extracted as well. Natalie is a child prodigy, fluent in several languages and hired by the NSA to act a translator in Bagdad , unbeknown to most including her father. This book has drama, a kidnap attempt and hot of the charts chemistry between Brian and Natalie. a brilliant start to a new series,. Cannot wait to see what comes next.

Good story mixing action and romance

Short romance with a backdrop of terrorism and espionage between the daughter of an American ambassador to Iraq, and an agent of a special unit. Their relationship is more a choice to take advantage of their freedom after having survived an event that could have been more serious, just like if they only had a few hours left to live.
The story, although short, has quite a few twists and turns and is a bit hot, and sometimes cute.

I wasn't sure how I felt about another new series from Mazzy, but once again, her creative brilliance and amazing writing skills shine strongly in this new series! I'm not sure how she can keep writing so many different stories and have them all be unique. Murphy and Natalie are both great characters and I really enjoyed how they met, because let's be honest, it could be true and Mazzy makes it seem extremely realistic and once again made really likable characters with some steam and an actual story to go along with it.

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review. Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. He is sent to go rescue an ambassador, but what nobody knew is his daughter is there too! Murphy is sent to find Natalie and get her to safety. Only he didn’t expect to fall for the beautiful curvy young woman! Natalie can’t believe how gorgeous the man who saved her life is and she finds herself falling for him! I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable although I didn't want it to end! The characters were interesting and likable. Brian Murphy needs to be my new book boyfriend! He was seriously bada$$. Natalie was definitely a good match for him. She was brave and even though she had a moment, she got over it quickly and did what needed to be done. I liked how the story ended but I do wish there was another epilogue further out. I'm greedy and I want more of their story! I recommend reading this book.

What a good start to the "Alpha Force Elite" series. This is a very quick and short read with almost instant love. It's definitely got some action, passion and suspense. I really like the characters as well. Brain Murphy is part of the Alpha Force Elite and is tasked with extracting an ambassador out of Baghdad. What he doesn't realize is that he has a daughter that needs to be extracted out of Baghdad as well. He finds her and comes up on the attempt to abduct her. This is a good and quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's cute, sweet, sexy and fast paced.

I loved this new series! Can't wait for more. Such a great read.
Murphy is in a special task force in the military stationed in Bagdad. He set to rescue an Ambassador and get him to safety but instead he had to save his daughter.
Natalie is in danger just doesn't know it but before being kidnapped she is rescued by Murphy. While getting her to safety, they have a connection unlike non other.

Another amazing book from Mazzy King and another exciting start to a new series. It has hunky servicemen, Bombs, gun and knife fights, instalove, And most importantly HEA what more do you need. The main character Murphy and Natalie have very believable and very very hot chemistry and the story is action packed from the first chapter till the last sentence. Can not wait for the next one In the series.

Attention...drop your #@&$’s and grab your socks.
For this book to be this short. It packs in so much action and adventure. I’m totally glued to this new series.
I’m just hoping that the same threat carries over to Jackson. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing his story.

For this book to be this short. It packs in so much action and adventure. I’m totally glued to this new series.
I’m just hoping that the same threat carries over to Jackson. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing his story.

It was so exciting. Murphy is sent to save the Ambassador and ends up saving his daughter Natalie. I loved these two. The characters were strong and Natalie's philosophy of not living life and taking a chance with Murphy. There was danger, fear, action and best of all the steam between these two. Another great story. Need the next story, please. I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received as an ARC.

Wow Mazzy has done it again. Ths is a fantastic new series and Murphy is a great start to the series. Murphy is part of an elite force sent in to rescue an ambassador. He is blindsided by the fact that his daughter is there as well and he has to rescue her as well. She is an NSA agent unbenounced to Murphy or her father. Instant attraction with a HEA.

OKAY!!! So I’m all about Murphy and Natalie ! Those two are so amazing I would LOVE to have their love story continue, I’d read it in a heartbeat 💓. The story ended but I’m so not done with these two!! I would definitely recommend this book! There was action, comedy, romance, a heroine that was smart and didn’t hesitate to get her hands dirty then some true love as a 🍒 on top!
