It wouldn't be incorrect if I call The Bedside Book Of Life by Jal Patel to be a very  helpful guide to find answers to the prime questions of life.

Broken down into three main parts, there can be found multiple short chapters containing sensible writing in them. The book explores spirituality, a lot about the subconscious and philosophy. Lucid language of the writing accompanies the book which helps us uncover the profound truth and meaning of life. With an equally brilliant and beautiful cover, the author has given lots of examples (of herself and her situations too) which can help us connect to the writing on a deeper level. Whichever chapter you may read, you will be able to gain something from it, be it about our mind, soul or life in general.
The book also mentions references meaning the writing has been researched upon. That somehow puts more of a reader's trust in understanding and accepting the writing.

Like its title, it would be appropriate to read a chapter from it every time before one goes back to bed. It's a book that not only needs to be read but to be consumed and understood. After understanding it, one needs to take necessary actions for the pertaining situations.

It truly serves as a bedside book of life.

•The universe is speaking to us all the time; we only need to listen.•

Some books gives us a lifestyle experience. Some books gives us the answers and this is one such book.

( @thejalshapriyapatel ) Jal Patel's the bedside book of life is a book to treasure forever. With a guided tour into the spiritual scheme of life, Jal Patel shares about how Universe always guides us, how we react to certain situations, the Karmic contracts and many other things that will astound you.

We are always guided by the universe, and the author shares about how the Universe gives us signs, how we are always connected to the Universe, how astrology plays a role in our life, the author with apt examples, interestingly explains each concept.

The candid and raw writing style of the author and an engaging narration makes this book more relatable. The author dwells the readers into the spiritual world with her writing style.

This book will give you answers, will help you in seeking that missing piece in life. Divided into three parts, the first part- Soul notes that explains about the spiritual world, karmic contracts and other concepts,

While the second part, Life notes the author share about how we get the hidden messages from the mind, how to filter our thoughts and many other topics, while the third part is about Healing notes where the author shares about the healing tools.

I enjoyed reading the examples that the author used. All of us must have experienced something like that at least once and reading about that particular experience will surely make you curious.

The author shares her journey since childhood till she was a grown up. How she started her journey and found her spiritual self. And how everything changed after reading a book, Star Signs by Linda Goodman.
The author spent 4 years writing this books, on and off, and that's quite lot of efforts. And it does shows in the book!

The author has shared her reflections and insights on life in this book. The book is divided into 3 parts,
1. Soul notes
2. Life notes
3. Healing notes

In the first part, Soul notes, author describes various parts of our being. The missing pieces of our life, how things are different than they appear, our destiny, and the realms of our soul, that connects us to the outer and inner worlds.

In second part, Life notes, the connection of our spiritual self to our mind and life is given. There is one chapter called how to let it go, and really loved it! In this part of the book, you'll find some questions that you ask yourself on daily basis and the author here tries to give you the answer. There is positive self-talk theory, which can help many of us.

Healing Notes, the third part, the author has literally given you tool kits to heal yourself, in and out! And that's something amazing in its self.

The writing style of the writer was good. It wasnt too hard or too easy it just seemed perfect. The vocabulary used was excellent too, letting you know new words. In the beginning it does get a little boring, because I've never been in spiritual things. But the book is not confusing, like there some spiritual books which are too deep for our normal minds to understand. But with this one you do understand each and every word.

The author has written this book for us. If you guys are going through tough time you'd like to give this book a read. Especially that healing tool kit!

So give this a read, if you're into spiritual learnings and healings!

The Bedside Book of Life by Jal Patel is your divine guide to unlocking the veracious meaning of spirituality and how every aspect of life has a deep rooted connection to it.

Patel in The Bedside Book of Life straightforwardly sums up everything she wants to convey in a convincing manner that the reader cannot help but be in awe of

Divided into three parts, each section addresses the various layers of spirituality and it's role in our lives and how a human being is shaped by the consequences of it.

In the first instance 'SOUL NOTES' , Patel takes about the 'what's' and the dimensions that spirituality boasts of, the effect of Karma, embracing the spiritual scheme of life and so on. She also delves upon the 'sine qua non' of an elevated conscience to decode the grand scheme of life.

In the second section, Patel directs the reader's attention to the ''how's" and guides the reader in an effort to find the missing link in unlocking their subconscious mind. She talks about the importance of meditation in this regard and how it has helped her bridge the gap between the known and the unknown.

Finally, in the third part, the author acknowledges healing tools for those in need that she has tried and tested through experiences, trainings and interactions. The thematic analysis and practical approach I opine will be really helpful and I cannot wait to try them out asap!

All in all, a very impactful book that has the potential to change your mindset with every page!

The Bedside Book Of Life by Jal Patel is a non fiction, spiritual book which talks about living the spiritual life, and it's answers to the author's quest of finding the right path of living.

The book talks about some topics of spirituality, karma, bad omens, karmic accounts, astrology, planetary rays, etc. The book is divided into 3 parts - Soul Notes, Life Notes, Healing Notes.

The first two parts are the explainations and learning of the author over the course of her life. The third part, hence talks about the healing tools and techniques. I liked how the author has given footnotes at some paragraphs so that it will be easier for the reader to research and read more about that particular topic.

The author's explainations in this book are on the point, so that's what I really liked about the book. They are narrated in a very precise manner. The author has also given some amazing examples to make it easier to understand. Overall, it truly it a bedside book of life and I would recommend it.

This book contains a lot of references from the book 'Autobiography Of A Yogi' by Paramahansa Yogananda. So if you enjoyed reading that book, I'm definitely sure this book won't disappoint you at all. Perfect for the fans of Robin Sharma.

The Bedside Book of life is a book about spirituality and spiritual laws. Divided into three parts-
•Soul notes
• life notes
•healing notes.

This book also talks about the subconscious mind, higher plans, karmic cycle and reincarnation.

The author has shared her experiences throughout the book. The narration is engaging.

Each chapter starts with a beautiful quote. Chapters are short.

Even though it's a short book, it took me several sittings to complete this book because I found the concepts of Guardian angels, omens, superstitions hard to believe.

But overall its a good book filled with positivity.

If you are feeling restless and want to read something that will calm your mind go for this book.

I received this book from the author for an honest review and took my sweet time to read it as it’s very different than my go-to genres.

“We can get what we are not ready for or have not earned, and if we do get it, it will not stay with us.”

The book is focusing on gaining your strength from inner self and keeping positivism the best way to attract good in our lives. It is however structured very different than my cultural/religious views as it is talking about reincarnation a lot.

“Most people cannot be bothered or cannot dare to think about that they want and, instead, adapt themselves to what’s available.”

Healing tools at the end of the book are nice, especially the magic of salt and water. I kept picturing myself swimming in an ocean and could taste the sea salt in my tongue. 😊

We all want to live our lives to the fullest with positivity and growth. The Bedside Book of Life by Jal Patel guides us to achieve the same. It is divided into three sections — Soul Notes, Life Notes and Healing Notes. Just like the names these sections talk about soul, life and healing in the form of small chapters. These chapters are basically the author's thoughts and research. Domino Effect and Downward Spiral from the Life Notes section was my favourite chapter. I could relate to it! I liked this book and would recommend it to everyone.

**************

The Bedside book of life is a book about the author's journey towards spiritualism or growth in faith. This book is divided into three parts: Soul Notes, Life Notes and Healing Notes. The first part of this book goes on exploring different spiritual concepts like spiritual amnesia, planetary rays and how they affect lives on earth, memories of past life, karmic contracts, birth charts, superstitions and many more such amazing concepts. And the second part of this book as the heading suggests, is about the healing tools, especially how the author went through the whole process of spiritual healing.
.
I enjoyed this book. Every complicated concept was explained in an easy language with beautiful examples. It is true that there is continuous wrangling about concepts like planetary rays and its effect on human lives or past life memories. I too have been on a constant mental debate about how these things are real. And once I read this book many things started to make sense in my mind. Through the detailed yet brief description by the author on discussion of these topics she has filled my mind with curiosity to know and explore more about spiritualism.
.
I feel spiritual books helps you enlighten your mind and makes you feel relaxed. It makes you aware about how complicated may be this universe is but when we try to live every moment with at least a little bit of happiness, we will end up feeling content. There are also some beautiful quotes in this book which I have bookmarked and I hope they will be like a guide to me in coming days.
.
If you love reading about spiritualism or want to explore more about this subject then you should definitely put this book on your reading list. And even if you don't like (like it was with me) there is no harm in acquiring knowledge about various concepts existing in this universe. And like me, you may also end up liking spiritualism.

The Bedside Book of Life by Jal Patel is a non-fiction read that I recommend. I feel the pages call for a slow relaxed read, that is one chapter a night. It is like a meditation after the fag end of the day. Reading such books having spiritually inclined content similar to few books I loved like Forty rules of love, The Prophet helps me meet my inner self and let my soul open another door of perception.

If you believe there is a spiritual space beyond this physical world which our five senses may not perceive easily but our subconscious awareness may feel from time to time, you will understand the content of this book.

As an individual few things you may make sense and some may not. But I think when you read such books you need to lower the tendency to judge everything with logic for sometime and let the thoughts sip in and bloom within you spreading its mystic warmth.

Each chapter with different concepts of eternal presence of soul, karmic contracts, destiny and such related spiritual and philosophical topics presented within 2-3 pages make it a lucid interesting read specially with the highted parts at the end of each chapter filled with short stories, thoughts and the author's outworldly experiences that instill in us hope.

I loved reading the chapters on Vibrate to the frequency of Love, Power within, Melting point of soul and it's  contracts.

Sit down and pick up this book. Let it fly you to the space that exists beyond the barrier of this ethereal world.

The Bedside Book of Life: Secrets to Finding Your Missing Pieces and Living to the Fullest (descriptive, isn’t it?) by Jal Patel is a book that stands up to everything it says in the title. It is indeed a bedside book; you’ll cherish it and want to keep it close by. It deals with various aspects that will help you unearth some of your missing parts. And then of course, it constantly sheds light on how you should enjoy each and every point in your life, or shortly, living to the fullest.

This non-fiction is a self-help and spiritual guide. Divided in three parts, it delves on several concepts of life and spirituality. There are so many beautiful quotes throughout the book, I couldn’t help highlighting them. Their beauty and thoughtfulness can be best conveyed by presenting them here as I may not be able to do justice by explaining them with my words:
“Without the right state of mind, we may have everything and yet, feel like we have nothing. Or we may have nothing much and yet, feel like we have everything.”

Enchanting, isn’t it? And this is not the only one; they are peppered throughout the book.

The Bedside Book of Life is something that I waded through without feeling any tiredness or fatigue. The author, Jal Patel has done an amazing work presenting and explaining extremely difficult concepts of spirituality, karma, astrology, omens etc. very easily with examples. The book gives you a boost of positivity that literally charges you. Also, as every spiritual and self-help book, this should be read slowly, in many sittings to make a greater impact. If I wanted to describe my reading experience in one word, the word will be beautiful. Everything about this book was beautiful, including the cover which gives a lovely vibe. I will not be surprised if I find myself reading it again very soon, because it is written to be read again and again. It is one of those books that I am going to treasure for a really long time.

I am ending this review by divulging one of my favorite and a really inspirational quote from the book:
“Can you tell by looking at a butterfly that it was once a caterpillar? Your story is about the transformation, not the trials and tribulation.”

Author's Spiritual Journey and some healing techniques

The bedside book of life as the title suggests it is a book of life which has kept beside our bed it's just we need to turn and look at it.
This book is nonfiction, spiritual journey of the author and her growth in faith. It is an enjoyable read and meaningful. You should take notes alongside reading as it has many quotes you might apply in real life. This book is divided into three parts i.e. Soul Part, Life Part and Healing part.
The soul and life part has explained her growth and spiritual journey. Whereas healing is my favourite part with other healing methods and techniques. Like water healing, salt cleansing, and many more. These healing techniques will lead to feel more light and content. As per personal experience, I have tried salt cleansing and I must say it was worth it.
Rate: 4.5/5🌟
Soul and life part have some topics which made me believe in divine power. They are; The memory of the past life, The three inner voices, The missing link. These were my favourites as they made you think of divine power or some sort of mystical energy around the universe.

Altogether a book one must reread and refer to its knowledge to grow oneself.

Bacon once said, "Some books should be tasted, some devoured, but only a few should be chewed and digested thoroughly." Jal Patel's book, "The Bedside Book of Life: Secrets to finding your missing pieces and living to the fullest" is an accurate example to what Bacon was suggesting.
“The Bedside Book” is not just about the learning of the author but it is for all those who are going through the phase of struggle and are striving for a better life. This makes the book a source of motivation and guide to everyone. She begins with an introduction which is on a very personal note and the readers can understand her philosophy, not to squander life.
The 3 parts of the book are divided into 51 short chapters, that attempt to provide answers to the questions of every possible reader. “The Bedside Book” is not something the readers can just read and forget. As the title suggests, it's about keeping the book by your bedside and coming back and forth. Reading the book again and again will leave a stronger and lasting impression on the readers and would also have a positive impact on their lives.

To keep on moving in life, motivation is one thing that we require to a great extent. Its actually a necessity, lack of which often quakes our confidence. Some books are a great help in this, stimulating us. And i especially love to read such kinds of book to keep the positiveness intact inside me. If you are looking for anything which can bring back your lost hope then you should probably take this newly released self-help book which will show you this world a little differently.
.
This book "Bedside book of life" by Jal patel is of 142 pages. I liked the way author has talked about spirituality, the effect of past life, karma, astrology, mind games all things divided into 3 parts. Starting from the 'Soul notes,' the story of Sri Yakteswar's visit to the kumbha mela and his meeting with a babaji. "For the faults of many don't judge the whole" this line actually hit me hard. Then another thing is that we should not always question what is happening at a particular moment and just be patient as the rest will be revealed at it's own time. Highly recommended book for everyone as it is indeed the bedside book of life.

Spiritual read

The Bedside book of life provides a different perspective in viewing the incidents of our lives. It is divided into three parts- soul notes, life notes and healing notes It deals with the facts that how the deeds of the previous birth is responsible for affecting our present life.I would term this book to be a self-help one because the entire concept of the book is associated with spiritual healing and how we can use it in adding positivity in our lives.Well,to be honest--understanding spirituality isn't my cup of tea,but I loved the style of narration here. The explanation is simple and lucid which made it easier for me to understand the facts. If you love reading self-help or spiritual books, do give this a try .
Happy reading ♥️

This book is a nicely blend between spiritualism and scientific researches. The author has penned in a really sophisticated style.

At the beginning I felt as if it was totally based upon spiritualism and karmic debts but as I continued the author has explained various subconscious behaviour .

And between the three parts of soul notes, life notes and healing , I'm pretty sure you'll get a little bit of clearance towards our most bizarre experiences.

The language is easy to understand and each theories mentioned has been proven and you'll come to know a lot about our own behaviours.

“Though it appears to us that we are moving through life, in truth, we are static and everything around us is moving and changing according to our mind and what we choose to focus on.” -quoted from ‘The Bedside Book of Life.’

There are so many beautiful quotes I wanted to pick from the book, and I couldn't settle for one.
The Bedside Book of Life by Jal Patel takes us on a journey of spiritual laws of life. Every word and sentences which the author has picked is clear and gives a wider perspective over what our life is all about. The author has narrated through her own experience of lives in spiritual tumultuous times. From talking about subconscious activities, positivity and growth, healing, soul searching, and more on spiritual beliefs, the author guides us through the whole process and path of spiritualism. Having read the book, it revealed an intricate pattern of the bigger pictures of our existence. The book is all about living life, believing in the work of karma, accepting changes, and guiding us through the path of dealing with what might come our way. I found the book very gripping and uplifting. Everything is carefully and genuinely explained. Though the book is about the author’s quest to finding answers to living a life of righteousness and positivity, it gave answers to me in many aspects. I am quite fascinated with spiritual things & beings and the book only added more insights into my curious mind of faith and belief. This non-fiction is the perfect book for anyone seeking for an answer to find their missing piece, heal their past, and get the inspiration you need to live life in the best form.

REVIEW:- THE BESIDE BOOK OF LIFE
AUTHOR:- JAL PATEL

This is not only a book it’s an journey of author’s life towards spiritualism and how her believe grew in it. Not only her journey but this book is also be able to change your life too.

Whole book divided into 3 parts named “Soul”, “Life” and “Healing” first two parts are based on the learning of author over life and the third one was explain some tools and techniques to get a peaceful life. Also Every of them divided into the different sequences of chapter and they contains different learning in it for the readers.

Today’s world was full of chaos and there are nowhere we found calmness or relieve but this book teaches us how can we stay calm and take right decisions for our lives. This book teaches us that how can we tke right decisions in our day to day life and take best output from that.
Many of successful personalities quotes are also penned down by author in it. And it makes it even more trustable and reliable and it surely helps us to come closer to spirituality even more than before.

How does the author narrated every way and teaching through examples in this book made it even more helpful for readers to be practicise in their daily lives. Also the way how author explain such rigid ideas in such simplistic manner is truly magnificent.
Language used by the author is simple and the writing style is lucid too.

Only drawback I found in this book is that it contains many references form the book named “Autobiography of a yogi” which i shouldn’t like. Because I don’t like the idea of stealing references from other books.

Overall it was an lovely read for me and I surely recommend it to every spiritual lovers and also the readers who wants to know the life.

The title portrays how a book can be just like a philosopher, a book you can keep besides your bed to learn different ways of healing your life. The cover aptly illustrates the spiritual world(the top part of the cover design) and the physical world(the bottom part). Sometimes you will need to slow down your pace to read this book as it talks about things you won't understand at first or you will need to re-read again and again to grasp the context.

You will get to learn a lot from this book, to let things go, to give best in our relationships, to not get fooled by appearances, getting up again and so on. The best part is there is a positive self talk therapy too for healing and sanity of mind.

Recommended for everyone especially spiritual book lovers or if you are finding answers to questions of your life, if you want to change your life.

'The fabled musk deer searches the whole world
Over the source of the scent
Which comes from within'
- Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa

This book 'The Bedside Book Of Life' is divided into three parts
1. Soul notes
2. Life notes
3. Healing notes

In them, there are many sub titles that explain us many other things like appearance are deceptive, astrology, comic rays, how to get out of suffering, how to find the purpose of life, how destiny controls our life, and many others....

The author ha quoted from many legends that add more meaning to the book. Before I started reading this I wasn't sure if I would like it for I'm not much into spirituality... But the perception of life of the author has inspired me to read this book. The author has remembered me of things that I know already but I don't remember and apply them in life! It is like somebody of great knowledge, sitting beside you teaching you life!

I still wonder how the author could explain complex ideas in a simple way with words. The chapters about angels to so good and satisfying. Though we believe them or not, it is their duty to watch over us. And they are called as guardian angel. And there are earth angels too! The author has explained her own life incident witnessing those angels, making me feel the divine! And that was my favourite part in this book!

Recommended for people who love spiritual reads that defines the laws of life! People who wants a clear view of life or wants advice to lead a good life can definitely choose this book!

The Bedside Book of Life: Secrets to Finding Your Missing Pieces and Living to the Fullest by jal patel ♥️

My Rating – 4.4/5 ⭐

Jal Patel's Bedside Book Of Life is a non-fiction, spiritual book that talks about living the spiritual life and it's answers to the author's journey to find the best way to live.
. The book is divided into 3 parts
*Soul Notes,
*Life Notes
*Healing Notes.
The author explains different aspects of our being in the first chapter, Soul says. The missing parts of our life that bind us to the outer and inner worlds, how things are different from what they seem, our fate, and the realms of our soul.
In the second part, notes Life, it is given the connection of our spiritual self with our mind and life. There is a chapter called how to let it go, and i really loved it! You will find in this part of the book some questions you ask yourself on a daily basis and the author here tries to give you the answer. There's constructive theory of self-talk, which can benefit a lot of us.
Healing notes, the third part, literally the author gave you tool kits to treat yourself, in and out! And that in itself is something incredible.
I believe that spiritual books help you to light your mind, and make you feel comfortable. This makes you aware of how complex this world can be, but we will end up feeling happy when we seek to live every moment with at least a bit of happiness. There are also some beautiful quotes in this book that I have bookmarked and I hope in coming days they will be like a reference for me.

An enlightening experience

_______🍀🍀_______
If there is an equivalent word for book-soulmate, then that's how I will describe this book. I picked up this book by the impressive title it has and trust me just by reading the preface, I realized this is the ONE.
.
.
This is a non-fiction spiritual genre which revolves around enlightening us and showing us the path to live our lives in a better way. This book is divided into three parts: Soul Notes, Life Notes and Healing Notes.
While the first two describes the lessons the author's life has taught, the last one shows us how to learn it. It includes tools and techniques which we can apply to our daily lives in order to live in a better way.
.
.
Few years ago, my grandmother passed away and she was the first person I saw dying in front of me. Even after all this time, I cannot stop thinking about her soul, her body which was burnt to ashes and some instances which made me feel that she is somewhere around me. This book gave me some answers. The answers for where the soul goes after death and how does it protects the loved ones.
.
.
It also tells about NDE (Near-death experience) of people and how the impact of light dictates whether we will return back to life or not. This was a new theme I picked after a long time and I did not regret it. This title is apt, as it will make you feel that someone close to you is talking to you and healing you with every page turned.

.
Heal yourself!

Reading it was an enlightening experience. Loved it !

The book in an objective approach to spirituality, subconscious mind, angels, etc. The book is divided into three parts - Soul Notes, Life Notes and Healing Notes. Each part is divided into chapters. Each chapter starts with a beautiful quote which instantly generates interest on the topic ahead.

A little imagination is required to read about the topics larger than life, like Science, and Spirituality. I struggled with reading it at first, but later, around the middle of the book, I was hooked into it.

A lot of topics at the starting of the book are vaguely related to Hindu spiritualism- like omens, superstitions, immortal soul, karma and karmic debts, reincarnation. I am not a religious person even though I had a religious upbringing. I was familiar with all of these concepts but I had a hard time reading and absorbing it, as they were somewhat hard for me to believe. Its one of the reasons it took me a long time reading this book. I'm glad I was able to push past it as I had a treat ahead of me.

What I liked about this book is how it has a engaging narrative. The author seems well informed about the topics she is talking about and she shares her own personal experiences in the book. Overall, I loved the book. Reading it was an enlightening experience. I am so well-informed about these topics than I was before.
