When Scottish lass Bryana Campbell-Sinclair flees her home to escape an unwanted marriage, she seeks refuge as the chaperone of an overpowering duke's sister. Her new identity as a widowed Englishwoman should give her the protection she needs, but suddenly it's her heart that is left unguarded from the duke's mesmerising gaze. Will she surrender to his liberating embrace, even if that means risking it all, including her valuable disguise?
Gordon Ashbrook, the Duke of Clement, immediately distrusts his sister's choice of chaperone. Bryana may be a widow, but she is still far too beautiful and young to be anything but trouble. The more time he spends with her, the more the lines between servant and master blur, until he finds that he can no longer trust his own judgement. His heart has a winning shot of convincing him to surrender to his feelings... but will he ever manage to set his own pride aside?
When the fate that Bryana so desperately tried to avoid finds her, she is forced to choose between the man she secretly loves and her duty to her family. To make matters worse, Gordon is also torn between the traditional world he grew up in and the enlightening one he discovered through his love for Bryana. With so many obstacles threatening to tear them apart, can they overcome them all to be together? Will their love prove strong enough to shatter every piece of threatening prejudice and intimidation around them?
"Saved by The Duke's Embrace" is a historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Aria Norton grew up in Sussex, England. She left abroad for studies but returned after she got married to her husband, and they currently live with their two wonderful children.
She has worked as a History teacher for years, but she always wrote stories whenever she got the chance. Putting her knowledge of history to a creative use was a dream of hers ever since she was a college student. She finally found a way around that plan, when her best friend suggested that she attends a creative writing class, which changed her life forever!
When she’s not teaching and writing, Aria loves watching true crime documentaries with her husband, drinking fine wine with her friends, and reading romance novels!

Gordon Ashbrook🐺, Duke of Clement, has a problem. His sister, Annabelle👸, is eighteen and must debut. She is no longer a child! He needs a chaperone for her, someone to guide and teach her what to do in society.
A Duke👰 since he was fifteen and both father and brother to his much younger sister👸, Gordon🐺 is 30 now. He knows he should marry👰, but hasn't found a woman he can trust.

The book is a typical Regency Romance💕 of nobleman falling for a servant, with the twist of the highlander woman becoming the sister's chaperone. It's also very long and full of angst. Gordon's lack of trust drags the story on and on.
Aria Norton’s story has a complex story line and interesting characters or maybe that is complex characters and an interesting story line. Bryana/Rose has to keep her stories and her accent straight, English women normally would not speak with a Scottish brogue. Gordon puts up a good fight, almost too good a fight, but even a Duke has to admit defeat at times. This story is fun, romantic, twisted and overall, just a good read. I really enjoyed it.
ONE THRILLING EMBRACE!!! Blazing blizzard! Aria brought it when she laid this baby out, breaking hard fast rules, testing the honor and integrity of the ton, tossing prejudice to the wind, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Banded, bound and tightly wound, showcasing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and impressive in it's depth, drawing our characters closer than they could have ever anticipated. Chicanery runs rampant and havoc is rife, noting the drama, secrets, turmoil, intrigue, spiraling suspense and intense situations, along with a boatload of trouble, you have one mind-blowing experience. Lines blurred and boundaries crossed, limitations are amplified and exploited, throwing this gem into the eye of the storm, blowing it into a tizzy with astonishing results. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. Balancing the scale and bearing the weight, delivering one pulse racing, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, page flipping block buster, propelling this gem to life beautifully. The attraction and chemistry builds as each layer is peeled back exposing thrilling emotions and a growing bond, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are complex and genuine with traits and qualities that add depth and diversity, transforming into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Aria, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Full of intrigues, lies, hidden secrets and more, this story gains depth as it continues. A great read. My criticisms would be the behaviour of the Duke. He is really nasty at times and trying to suppress his feelings is no excuse. It is a little hard to feel any sympathy for Gordon, even though he is acting out of character. He is right in being wary of Rose/Bryana's suitability as a companion/chaperone as she is young and unaware of what she should be protecting her charge from - or herself for that matter. Bryana's parents are a disappointment, especially her father, as he knows he has a traitor in his clan, yet still forces his daughter into a marriage with a man he must know is cruel, ambitious and callous. Living so closely with Hamish, the Laird would not have missed his true character and yet he allows Bryana to be bullied. Her mother is either a fool, or completely oblivious to her daughter's needs and feelings. The conclusion is lovely, but does not make up for the cruelty of their actions. I still gave it 4 stars.
The Scottish Highlands are home to strong-willed women who want to be in charge of their own lives....such as Bryana Campbell-Sinclair. After Bryana's brother & heir to their lands, mysteriously disappears from their home right before his arranged marriage, her parents feel the need to marry her off in order to escape embarrassment among the clans. Bryana has other ideas, and works with her grandmother and friends to flee Scotland, as well as the advances of her "betrothed", and finds herself in England as a chaperone to the sister of a Duke. Keeping her secret identity while attempting to determine what really happened to her brother, along with fighting her growing feelings for the Duke of Clement, proves to be almost more than she can endure as she has to make a choice between the duty to her family and the love in her heart. Aria Norton has written another historical regency romance that makes for a quick read and a good shot of entertaining adventures.
Ms Norton is becoming one of my favorite Regency writers. Her characters come alive in the reading of their stories. In this one, a brilliant young Scottish miss, aided by her grandmother, flees Scotland and a forced marriage to a brutish highlander. She lands in England, where she hides out as a companion/chaperone to a young woman enjoying her first Season out. Her employer, a duke with ties to the king, is constantly fighting his own feelings regarding this beautiful laird's daughter, to the point of being terribly rude and hurtful to her just to avoid acknowledging his growing interest in her. Add in a distressing situation back in Scotland with her brother, and you have the makings of a wonderful read. Thanks for another goodread, Ms Norton.
An interesting storyline .I loved the depiction of Bryana and her maid fleeing Scotland with her grandmother's help to avoid a forced marriage. When she takes a job in England as a widowed English lady to help prepare Duke Gordon's sister for society was fun to watch the romance and the misunderstandings progress. I loved the rescue of Bryana, after her intended, devious groom to be finds her and forces her return to Scotland, by the Duke and her brother and finally the HEA . Thanks for the extended epilogue which sewed up all the intermingled stories within the book!. Keep them coming Aria, waiting for your next one!!!
A typical Regency Romance, the Duke falls for a servant; actually, his sister's choice to be her companion and chaperone. His increasing desire causes him to do some really idiotic and mean things, which makes him a little less likable, and Bree's parents forcing her to marry a man she doesn't love, despite always promising her she could choose, was kind of a standard twist. (Something has to force the main female to run away, right?) I liked the relationship between the two sets of siblings - Bree and her brother, and Gordon (Duke) and Annabelle. Annabelle was probably my favorite character - she was a sweet matchmaker.
After Bree's brother supposedly ran away with a maid despite being in love with his betrothed, their parents inform Bree that because of the scandal she will have to marry Hamish. This despite having told her all her life to marry for love. Hamish is a cruel jerk and Bree has no desire to marry him so she runs away. I loved how the two main characters found love, despite Hamish trying to marry Bree by force. I think the parents took quite a chance as things could have worked out badly with several scoundrels wanting her. I loved the ending.
Bryana has lived a life she adores,in Scotland, as the daughter of the Laird, but when he brother disappears over night, supposedly to marry a maid here life changes. She is told she will marry Hamish, a cruel and conniving man, she runs! With help she goes to England and becomes companion to the Duke of Clements sister. He knows something not right but, he’s taken by her. Must read, really good book, many twist and turns!
If you are in the mood… If you are in the mood was an excellent book to read then may I suggest Ms. Norton's new work. This book is the tale of a young Scottish lass and the Duke of Clement who does not trust our lass. Gordon really does have reason since she is pretending to be English and a widow. When the past hits both of them with a bang their true measure comes out. The characters were complex and genuine and so captivating. I loved the time I spent with this book.
This is a must read. She flees the bad man her family has picked out for her to marry. She changes her name and gets a job. The Duke where she works develops feelings for her. But she has more than one man wanting her. In the meantime he is trying to figure it all out. And the bad man is looking for her. Excellent characters and story. I highly recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Saved by the Duke 's Embrace A Historical Regency Romance Book
This is a very good and wonderful story of Bryanna a Scottish laird 's daughter that ran away to England and became a chaperone for Gordon A duke. They fell in love but there are twists and turns and another was making Bree marry him but she was rescued. The characters are very determined and the extended epilogue very enjoyable.A well written and enjoyable story
This is another amazing story with a plot that keeps on giving. The characters are portrayed wonderfully and there are plenty of twists and turns. The extended epilogue completes the characters story's brilliantly. This is a book that would suit anyone who loves clean historical romances that have plenty of surprises. I read an ARC copy
I gave this rating because this is the first of your book's I've read and I think the story is so captivating. Caught myself saying , oh why didn't you do this or that. However I read your reviews and agree with so much they have already said. I'm excited to get on with the reading. Your approach is captivating. New fan. Nana Sparkles
What an amazing story. The plot that changed at the end, never saw that coming.Aria writes a great story every time. And the Extended Epilogue, also a bonus.Love all her story’s.Well done.
I really liked the whole running away from a feared match, and being rescued by "a knight in shining armour" theme. Also enjoyed the Scottish dialogue. Characterisation was also very good. Thanks Aria for another sweet story.
Bryana left home to escape the path laid out for her. She started a new life that brought her both fulfillment and heartache. Gordon denied his feelings and ran hot and cold with his treatment of Bryana. Can their love conquer all?
Classic love story of servant and titled lord. Very good story of a lady in distress that is rescued by a Duke. Fiery characters that are definitely lovable. Glad for the extended epilogue that gives us a glimpse of their lives.
It may have been a great story but I found it too hard to read I have read other Scott book before but somehow found this harder than others. I didn’t bother to finish it and lost interest
Another wonderful story: I loved how mischievous Bryana and Alistair were. So many wonderful characters and lives that were interwoven with each other. So glad that Gordon listened to his heart and that he went after his love. Can’t wait to read another one of your books.
