Manga creator ONE first created One-Punch Man as a web comic, where it quickly went viral, garnering over 10,000,000 hits! Along with One-Punch Man, ONE also writes and draws another series called Mob Psycho 100.
This feels like a pivotal point in the series where our One-Punch Man, Saitama faces a foe that may need ore than one punch; he also, for the first time, openly questions and challenges the leadership and goals of the Heroes Association! The introduction of actual exposition, foreshadowing and sub-plots sees the creative team acknowledge that they are really in this one for the long-haul now! An OK 6 out of 12, Three Star read. 2023
I am kinda surprised at how freaking excited I got when Saitama finally found his FIRST enemy who didn't just DIE on the first hit. I felt his ennui, his deep depression, his ANGST that there was nothing more to strive for in this world. He was JUST TOO POWERFUL.
This was another enjoyable and lighthearted volume in the series. I love Genos and Saitama so much. Plus, the quick pacing of this series is always a lot of fun.
The only downside to this volume is that there was a ton of bonus volumes attatched to the end, which honestly felt like filler to make this volume longer. I love bonus volumes, but not when it feels like nearly a third of the volume is just bonuses that aren’t attatched to the main plotline.
What can I say? As usual hardly any one thanks One Punch Man for his hard work, but the other superheroes are all so funny and the dialogues are so damn hilarious too.
Anyway, One Punch Man is cool and I like the short story at the end of this volume the best.
In volume 7 we get: Genos storyline seems to be being built up more in this volume. Saitama vs Lord Boros is an epic battle. Though in my mind not quite as good as Sea king vs Saitama in my mind. Along with getting to know some more of the rest of the cast. Now one punch man is an action heavy series that at times can get a bit graphic, so you have been warned.
Boros who? Metal Knight is the one to be scared of here... Him, Tornado and Saitama = the ultimate OPs of the series. Saitama and Bang are the Real ones. That pork cutlet bowl bonus chapter was the highlight of this volume tbh. The plot is thickening. Once again, the artwork is insane.
This is the volume on which the first season of the anime ends (around halfway through it at least). What we get here is mostly the big boss battle and it is nothing that should be left without being given some solid praise. Boros puts up some super fun, bombastic and destructive action scenes that Saitama simply reciprocates in his own way.
The volume also includes an aftermath/epilogue to this event and gives us a little bit more insight on Metal Knight while keeping him extremely mysterious.
This volume's one serious punch! Okay, there's really not much in this One Punch Man installment in terms of story, but man it makes up for one helluva fight between Saitama and Boros. It was pretty sick and intense and grand in a way I haven't seen before in the series.
Of course, Saitama won. This is not much of a spoiler. Boros though gave him a nice fight, the "hardest" fight Saitama has ever experienced in his hero profession.
One Punch Man has continuously entertained me with hardcore action and a bunch of funny stuff, and I am sure this trend will continue for a long, long time.
This time it took more than a punch and they explained it well , and it was plain slugfest (atleast for Boros) and we saw more of Tornado's awesome talent (poor Genos).
But honestly my favourite was the final bonus panel with the cops , and that showed once more how Saitama is the real Hero .
Pretty epic final battle to end the first major arc (This is where season 1 ends) and a lot of fun. Now I get to read stuff I've never seen coming up next!
Well I mean technically the seer sent Boros to die. It boggles me no one knew Saitama was fighting and even then was treated as insignificant when he emerged from the wreckage. Apart from a couple it seems the only ones that know his true strength are already dead. The accidental assassin. Felt sorry for Tank top. Did not like Amai Mask, the last minute arrogant pop up. Its almost scary how quickly everything was rebuilt. I like the cover on this one. Until next month.

This series is still going strong and the humour is staying right up there. This reminds me of Invincible so much and that's not a bad thing. The action is relentless for the first half of the book, it never lets go for a second. I would like to see more One punch character moments but this series is coming alive and I have 8-11 volumes awaiting me at the library.
If it weren't for Saitama the prophecy about the Earth's destruction may have come true. We have an epic fight with Saitama and Boros. Saitama ends up on the moon by Boros's internal energy as a propulsive force. It takes consecutive normal punches and one serious punch (that takes over multiple double pages!) to defeat Boros. For the first time Saitama can't fight of an enemy with just one punch! City A is completely destroyed and Metal Knight rebuild the Headquarters of the Hero's Association in just seven days including roads that can take the Heros the other cities in no time! This volume had even more action than the previous ones.
One Punch Man is one of the best Manga that I have ever read. If anyone is pushing this off to the side, they need to reevaluate their life and read it asap, they'll thank me later.
WOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!Saitama did it in another one punch! HECK YESS!! SEE THAT PEOPLE!!!! DRILL THAT INTO YOUR FUCKING BRAINS AND RECOGNIZE HIM!!! I also love that smirk from Genos. He trust Saitama like tons!!!
Omg!! A freaking letter for Saitama. OMG. Sooo cutee.... Wait a sec. WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE!! AAHHHHHH!!!!! They make me so fucking mad!!!
AAAWWWW!!!!! One letter saying thank you for Saitama!!! OMG I almost cried!!!!! So happy at least one person appreciate him aside from Genos.. He needs more recognition.
Also, Saitama is in rank 1 of C-Class! Weewww a little improvement only but please put him to B-Class already!
I freaking hate this people making lots of bad rumors about Saitama about his physical exam. Such jealous assholes!!
Awwwww... It was Licenseless Rider that wrote Saitama. And he has been looking for him all day.. What a sweet human being!!!! I really like him now!!
I love Genos a lot. He said "If all S-Class heroes are being called, we may need your power, teacher. Will you come with us?" Saitama "Sure I'm free anyway."
Saitama is just so adorable!!!
S-class bla bla: And I'm not an old man. I'm still only 37. Saitama: 37 Isn't old? I had no idea.
Can anyone beat Saitama? I found myself thinking that at the conclusion of the fight with Boros where he says that Saitama wasn’t even giving his all. I also like that they’re introducing plot threads that are, hopefully, leading to character development. While this is definitely a solid volume, I was surprised to see only 3 mainline books present, with the remainder being Bonus books (or, as I call them: filler). But some of the Bonus books did well in introducing new characters and letting you know just what kind of heroes, or not, they were. I actually found the last Bonus book that featured Saitama helping the police to be quite amazing. Finally getting to see how Saitama is growing as a hero.
As for the humor? I mean, consecutive normal punches is probably the most hilarious move of anything I’ve ever read. Love how it continues to deconstruct the genre.

4.5 stars. It is hard to think of something original or interesting to say about this manga. It would just take so much space and spoilers to just describe what is going on. I do like seeing the other heroes doing stuff and showing off powers. I mean otherwise this is just a comic about a guy who wins all fights with just one punch.
Finishes off the alien fight story arc and has some interesting bonus chapters, including one that has a confrontation between the police and the hero association. That's an area that could go in some interesting directions because the hero association becomes almost the bullies in this scenario.
*Gets blasted to outer space* Saitama: “Yoo this is kinda like a serious fight!”
I like how Boros came to earth seeking the same thing Saitama is searching for himself - a worthy opponent and a real fight. If you think about it, Boros is probably the only one who truly understands Saitama. I like how in the end, Boros wasn’t upset despite losing because he finally found what he was looking for. Also I like how Saitama’s finishing move is called ‘Serious Punch’ as if every other punch he’s ever dished out wasn’t serious 💀
I really liked the Pork Cutlet Bowl chapter as well! Saitama’s point on how a real hero should never need someone to beg them or say ‘please’ to offer help proves once again why he’s best hero. I wish the bonus chapter got animated, hopefully it’ll be released in like the special episodes or something
Very amusing storyline involving Madame Shibawa’s prediction and it’s aftermath. Easy read with numerous full page spreads representing single cells; it was a short issue with 3 bonus storylines. The story author’s tongue has been firmly embedded in their cheek, and the art has been variable, with Saitama looking like a aimple stick man at times, and a fully fleshed out character more infrequently.
This volume presents the conclusion of the invaders from space. Saitama is still going head to head with the main baddy, Boros, who unleashes several highly energized attacks, some of which blow holes in his own ship. One of Boros' attacks punches Saitama all the way to the moon! Tornado continues to use the rubble of City A to poke holes in the spaceship. Handsome Kamen, the
