While the individual books were not quite 5 stars worthy, as a whole, the series deserves it. One thing that I absolutely respected this series for, was that you can stop after the first book without living with a huge cliffhanger in the back of your mind. The second book is a continuation of the story, and while reading only the first book leaves you with some very obvious questions, it is still kind of a HEA.
The romance is very cute, the bedroom scenes are amazing and the story is filled with awkward moments that make it funny. There is one thing that I can point out as annoying for each book. For the first book, they fell in love in 2 days. So that felt far-fetched for a book that didn't need that kind of fast pace. For the second book, the moment she became pregnant, their communication skills disappeared. While I understand that they were all trying to make sure the others were happy and this was kinda needed for the plot, the whole idea was stupid considering their previous behaviors.
One quote that I found kinda inspiring from this book was:
“It’s better to die regretting the things you’ve done than regretting all the things you were too afraid to do. You have to take what you want while you can.”
Such a beautiful story. I loved every minute of it. I've had this book in my samples for about a year. I have no idea why it took me so long to read it. But I finally did and I am mad at myself for the delay.
I laughed at their regular every day moments where they took jabs at each other, said something funny to cheer the other up.
I cried for their moments when Roland was perceived as a spoiled rich kid with no problems. Rory having the weight of her brother's happiness on her shoulders. And Ben feeling like he wasn't worthy of their love.
The honesty in their relationship was refreshing, the way the relationship progressed was a joy to see and be a part of.
I loved the way they took on the world not caring what others thought about them and just lived their lives on their own terms.
I could say so much more about this book and this trouple. I just simply love them to death.
I loved this series. Prince Roland hasn't left the castle since his father died in a mysterious plane crash thirteen years ago. It hasn't helped that his controlling mother is so paranoid about anything happening to him and keeps him under constant watch. Roland's friend and bodyguard Ben has no problem finding women willing to come with him to the castle and for some time Ben and Roland have been sharing the women. When Ben shows up with Rory things quickly change. As the three delve into this unusual and unorthodox relationship there are those who will not understand or condone it. When Rory disappears both Roland and Ben will realize just how much she means to them and will do anything to bring her back to them.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about this throuple's relationship and how it evolved over the years.
I was gifted this series and voluntarily offer this review.
The Royal’s Love by Adora Crooks: Enjoyable series!
****The Royal’s Pet #1: good read! This story is well written with a good pace. Loved the characters, their relationship and the steam between them....
*****The Royal’s Baby #2: Heartwarming and steamy This series is full of heart, and heat, with relatable characters and a good pace. Maybe a bit too much steam, but always well done.
Love this quote from this series: “It’s better to die regretting the things you’ve done than regretting all the things you were too afraid to do. You have to take what you want while you can.” —PTators
This was a wonderful, lighthearted read (compared to what I normally read) , that I absolutely couldn’t put down! The only complaint I have (which bugged me the whole entire time), was the description of royal line of succession. What made it worse is this took place in England., where the crown only passes from sibling to sibling if the monarch doesn’t have a child (heir) to take the thrown. It doesn’t go from monarch to monarch’s sister then to monarch’s heir!!! That makes no sense!! (What happens if monarch’s sister has an heir? Does it bounce to them after the original heir gets it?)
Alright I got through maybe 15% of the third book and had to say it got repetitive. Don't get me wrong the story is cute but it moves so fast it reads like fanfiction that a 15 year old wrote. This isn't a bad thing but I would love if the full length novels had more character development and there was a slightly more slow burn. Also she used words so much I found myself reading over the sexy parts and trying to get to the small bits of the plot. I would have enjoyed it more if I had stopped at the first book or even the birthday novella because that seemed to be a good place to end. Sadly this just wasn't for me
I scooped this version on KU to read the novellas between books 1 & 2 and the final novella. They were important to the plot and helped character development, but truly they were smut-focused. Which I didn't mind at all. I gave it 4 stars because it includes the other books in this set and I didn't want to impact the overall series.
Very sweet, loved the story and characters. Not a huge fan of some of the language personally but not a deal breaker.
Loved the multiple POV and that it's MMF. Just felt author shied away from some great opportunities to expand the MM side. It was brushed over a bit and not a big focus (which is something I love so did feel like I'd missed out)
I hate making titles for my reviews. I’m a mood reader and this series just hit the right spots with me. It’s fast paced but not too fast. It’s like a highlight real of the best and worst times of a loving family. They are a family that needs no label, they just are.
I don't care, I'm absolutely in love with Ben. You could write about Ben's entire back story and I would sit and read it all.....this was an extremely romantic trouple. I would love to get Alex story about how Roland was able to get Alex to be prince and maybe finding his princess, how Ama probably fell in love
Every detail that entangles from this book is so well thought and put together that leaves nothing to faith. The romance, the relationship between Roland, Ben and their kitten is so mesmerizing!! Love 💕 this book couldn’t put it down!!
I absolutely loved this story. These characters are wonderful together. Roland, Ben, and Rory are perfect. I grabbed this to read the last story as I have read and reviewed the others. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I absolutely recommend this book.
So much story packed into this box set. I usually get tired of a couple after the i love your but I really enjoyed this whole series it was witty and smart with a tinge of crazy and nothing too dark or taboo I loved it
What a fantastic series! This box set is packed with characters you’re sure to fall in love with, great plots and story lines, and steamy scenes you won’t forget!!
All I can say is Don't wear any Panties while reading this book. It is hot hot hot. I read her other MMF book , just as intense. What I wouldn't give to be young and daring . To be loved by 2 men is hot.
The triad of Ben, Roland, and Rory is very sweet. They all love wholly and deeply and it’s a constant adventure you take with them durning the journey to find a life together.
Didn't know how I'd like it at first I had to read on to get into the three some and then the guy on guy thing with a girl thrown in the middle was very interesting but it was a good read
I didn't really know this was a.poly amorous story ahead of time. It actually was a pretty good little book but. Stop sex filled for me. I have this problem once start a book I'm compelled to finish it. So if you don't like sex books don't start it
Not a huge fan of insta love and that’s exactly what this was. Ok story line. Rory is a free spirit. Gets seduced by the bodyguard for the hermit prince. Feelings get involved. Throw in some kidnappings and that’s the story.
Omg this series was fun, exciting, and steamy!! I absolutely love MMF romances. Throw in a brooding doberman man and a deliciously dirty golden retriever man and viola! Excellent palate cleanser series from my last heavy read.
Rory enjoys traveling and adventure, sneaking into the palace is more adventure than she was prepared for. Falling in love with the prince is unpredicted.
