Livvy Winthrop, a journalist rushing to meet her deadline, sent a quick email to her younger sister, Bree, threatening bodily harm if she didn’t attend the bridesmaid dress fitting for their older sister Maya’s, wedding. When a response came back, she realized she sent it to a guy by mistake; but he enjoyed the threats and said he had done worth to his little brother, so he understood. Mercer and Livvy talked back and forth in email for the rest of the afternoon. He wanted her to model the pink, puff-sleeved bridesmaid dress with the huge bow in back – chosen so none of the bridesmaids would look better than the bride! But Livvy found him so easy to talk to that she didn’t want to ruin things by sending pictures. Being anonymous made it more comfortable. That way she knew he was interested in getting to know her and not in her father’s power or her possible wealth.

A year later, Livvy’s editor was asking for new ideas of areas to write about since the readers were getting bored with the same old things. But the editor, Andrea, hates Livvy and shoots down all of her ideas just because she is the boss’ daughter. When Andrea demands Livvy give her an idea, expecting to embarrass Livvy, she suggests Alaska where they could make videos to accompany the stories and generate interest. Andrea actually likes the idea and Livvy is assigned. She arrives at the hangar late, gets her bag stuck in the doorway, and slips on the ice in her inappropriate high heels. The pilot runs over to help her as she laughs and slowly opens one eye to ask if anyone (like his 5 passengers staring at her) saw that fall. He quickly whispers “Nope” and helps her to the plane, feeling guilty for the attraction she generates in him. He gets everyone in the plane and introduces himself as Mercer and starts to go over the safety speech when Olivia Winthrop lets out a loud squeak and goes ramrod stiff. She asks if she can charter the plane so she can take pictures and he agreed to take her the next day, which was his day off. Again, he felt like he was cheating on Livvy, yet this woman was so comfortable to talk to.

The next day, he took over some great video spots. She had hoped, when she lightly flirted with him, that he would show some interest. But he hadn’t. As they are coming back from their lunch stop, he shows her bears down below and she blurts out into her headset, “Just like the ones you sent me!” He stares at her with a stunned and hurt look. Livvy? -- and she nods. Not ready to discuss it further, he takes the co-pilot seat when the pilot-side rudder won’t respond. They land and he lets her walk away, figuring she must not have liked him the other day when they first met. Would he let his wrong assumption keep him away from her? Or would he go to see her and find out from her why she kept her identity from him?

This was a short but heart-felt story about two pen-pals feeling a sight-unseen connection and starting to fall in love. Will they let a miscommunication tear them apart before they even get to explore the relationship that had started through email? Grab your copy and see if they find the HEA that could be closer than they think!

It all starts with a puffy sleeved bridesmaid dress with a giant azz bow on the back

MERCER is the second book in the ALASKAN MOUNTAIN BUSH PILOTS series and is the story of Mercer and Olivia "Livvy" Winthrop. This is a witty, funny, cheeky, charming and sexy short story with wonderful characters and an entertaining story-line. It just goes to show that sometimes a misdirected email can lead to the most unexpected and delightful experiences.
It all started when Livvy sent an email to her sister, well actually she mistyped two number and it took off from there. Livvy is twenty-five, lives in Boston. She has graduated Emerson College with a degree in journalism and has started writing for a travel website. When her older sister Maya is getting married and her younger sister has already bailed twice on the bridesmaid dress fitting she is going to make sure that Bree shows up this time. This is accomplished by sending a somewhat threatening, as in only sisters can do, email. When she gets a reply it is not from Bree but from a person named Mercer who has a good sense of humor about the whole mix-up. What started by mistake continues throughout the rest of the day and evening and then some.
Mercer is almost thirty, lives in Frontier, Alaska and is a bush pilot with Brooks Alaska Air. When he receives an email that was obviously not meant for him the only polite thing to do is reply and he does it with a cheeky attitude. It seems that he and the sender, Livvy, have a great email chemistry as they continue to exchange emails for the rest of the day, evening and on.
One year later and Livvy and Mercer have become email pen-pals multiple times a day. They still have a wonderfully fun, witty and quirky chemistry with a definite sexual undertone. But neither has taken it further and they both are not sure if the other is interested that way. But when Livvy pitches a new idea for the travel website, based on a video that she had received from Mercer, she is off to Frontier, Alaska faster than you can say "mush". When she arrives the next day in Alaska she has to take another flight to get to Frontier. What she does not know is that her pilot turns out to be Mercer. Let's just say that she makes a spectacular slip of an introduction when she does not know it is him. But once he introduces himself as everyone is in he plane she is not sure what to do, as the passenger list had her name as Olivia and they never exchanged details or pictures in the last year. Mercer is drawn to the beautiful and funny Olivia but he feels like he is cheating on Livvy by having these feelings. But they arrange for him to fly her the next day around so she can capture video footage from the plane of what she sees. It is during this trip, with just the two of them, that she lets a detail slip which makes he realize Olivia is his Livvy. Miscommunications abound between Livvy and Mercer, some caused by them and some by her meddling and snobby mother. But when they can finally just admit how they feel things are going to come together for them. But that does not mean that they don't stop being email pen-pals, even when they are both in the same house.

Mercer is the second book in Lana Dash’s Alaska Mountain Bush Pilot series. In it we meet Livvy (Olivia) and Mercer. Livvy is a journalist. Mercer a bush pilot. Livvy and Mercer spend a year as email pen pals. It started when Livvy accidentally sent Mercer a cryptic email complaining about bridesmaids’ dress that should have gone to her younger sister, Bree. When an opportunity arises for Livvy to go to Alaska for a photojournalist assignment she jumps at it. She wants to see if Mercer likes her for who she is, or will he be disappointed upon seeing that she is a plus size girl. Upon meeting, Mercer is surprised at his attraction to her. This leaves him conflicted as he loves Livvy and yet he is attracted to his passenger, Olivia. Eventually, when he learns that Livvy and Olivia are the same person he is angered. It takes a bit of reflection for him to be reconciled with it. Olivia’s manipulating mother wreaks havoc on their relationship. Will Mercer and Olivia get together? If so, will they find happiness?

Again, Ms. Dash pens a beautiful heart-felt short story with two endearing characters. I enjoyed her two-prong plot line. One prong being the basic boy meet girl romance. The other prong being Olivia dealing with her manipulating mother. I enjoyed Ms. Dash’s descriptive language. For example, the scene wherein, Mercer loses control of the rudder was riveting. It was so vivid that the reader could feel the tension crackling in the bush plane. I thought it was clever that Ms. Dash incorporated a three-thread theme of coping to her plot. The first being Olivia coping with the family drama vis-a-vie manipulating mommy. The second being characters coping with misunderstandings. Lastly, the thread of coping with the unknown when Mercer is missing amid a severe snowstorm on a medical emergency rescue call. All contributed toward making this an enjoyable read.

Livvy thinks she sent her sister an email but it was sent to someone else because she was rushed and didn't put the right email in. Mercer receives the email meant for her sister and enjoys the threats she throws at her sister even if he doesn't understand her threat completely. Livvy works for her father's company so when the editor wants some new ideas to bring in more people she directs it at Livvy. Livvy jumps at the chance to go outside the office and do a video for the company to show people that go to their travel site what they can see when they go to these places. She suggests Alaska as the first place to use knowing that's where Mercer is and she's been emailing him since her mix up. She gets sent there and her first meeting is with her running to catch the plane only to fall in front of everyone. Mercer helps her up however he doesn't know who she is at the time. Livvy doesn't know he is Mercer until he introduces himself to everyone before taking off. Sparks fly between them but Mercer isn't interested because he wants his Livvy. What will he do once he learns she is there in Alaska waiting for him? Will they get the happy ending they both want?

This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Olivia, also known as Livvy, sends an email meant for her sister to Mercer by mistake. He responds letting her know she reached to wrong person. Enjoying the banter they continue to email each other for a whole year. Olivia wanting to meet Mercer maneuvers her boss into letting her go to Alaska. When she arrives she sees Mercer and is happily surprised at how good looking he is. Being in a plane full of passages, she decides to wait till they are alone to tell him who she is. Mercer finds her attractive too but has strong feelings for Livvy , and feels like he’s betraying her with Olivia so he is very aloof with her. She thinks he is not interested in her. When he finds out they are the same person he is understandably mad that she hid her true identity. They talk it out and all is forgiven, they spend a steamy night together. In the morning Olivia’s mom calls which leads to some more drama, which has to be cleared up. Epilogue with a proposal. I liked how Mercer was true to his feelings for his Livvy. Didn’t want to hook up with Olivia because that would have felt like being unfaithful to Livvy.

I loved this story. It was a cute, short, steamy short stories. I really enjoy Lana Dash’s short stories. They’re steamy, quick reads that are light on the drama and angst but have fun and enjoyable charaters. This is book two in the series but reads as a standalone. You do not have to read book one to enjoy this story. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Livvy accidently emails Mercer instead of her sister. They don’t know each other and have never met. Mercer replies back to her and this starts a yearlong email relationship. Livvy gets the chance to travel to Alaska and she’s hoping to meet Mercer in person, but she doesn’t tell him she’s coming to Alaska. When they meet, they are attracted to each other, but Mercer ignores it because it makes him feel like he’s cheating on Livvy but Livvy takes his distance as lack of interest in her. What a kerfuffle. Mercer gets angry when he finds out she didn’t tell him who she was at first. Can they work things out?

Livvy is a journalist from Boston who thought she sent a snarky email to her sister but she mistakenly she sent it to Mercer, an Alaskan bush pilot. They became friends online but never exchanged pictures. A year later Livvy, now 25, travels to Alaska and ends up on a bush plane piloted by Mercer, almost 30 years old. On the flight manifest she is listed as Olivia so Mercer doesn’t recognize her and she doesn’t realize he is Mercer until they are airborne. He is attracted to Olivia but somewhat standoffish because he feels committed to his email pal she doesn’t reveal who she is. Will the misunderstandings end and can Mercer and Olivia/Livvy find happiness?

I thoroughly enjoyed this cute short story. The author provided characters that I could identify with and hope for their HEA. I loved the epilogue and can’t wait to read more books in this series.

This is the second book in this fun series set around the lives of pilots in the Alaskan wilderness each book only takes about thirty minutes to read so they are fast and fun no great character build up but that is to be expected

Livvy accidentally sent a e mail to Mercer instead of her sister and from that they became pen pals he is a pilot in Alaska and she is a journalist they have communicated with one another for about a year when her editor sends her to Alaska Imagine her surprise when Mercer is her pilot she doesn't tell him who she is but she flirts with him Mercer has feelings for Livvy and has no intentions of encouraging this flirting journalist but Livvy reads that as a lack of interest and is hurt Can they solve this tangled web they have woven and admit that they both have feelings for one another and in the process maybe start a future together.

Mercer is a fun great read that will have you smiling and laughing at the journey Mercer and Livvy go through to find each other.

I love that Mercer "meet" Livvy by an email gone wrong and from there a friendship develops and over time love begins to bloom. So when the chance to head to Alaska for work and escape her mother matchmaking she jumps, the chance of meeting Mercer is bonus. Over the year email relationship they never exchanged pictures. So what could possibly happen....

In this story there will be family drama, loving dad, misunderstandings and a medical emergency all tide in with a HEA.

Livy and Mercer meet when she emails him in error, she meant to email and threaten her sister and inadvertently switched 2 numbers. They become pen pals and a year later Livy heads to Alaska on assignment and runs into Mercer (ok more like she slips on the ice and wipes out) She recognizes him, but when he does not respond to her flirting, her insecurities kick in and she does not tell him until the next day when it slips out. Things are great their chemistry amazing and then her mother starts stirring up trouble. This is such an adorable book, storyline is cute and sweet and the characters are easy to relate to. A favorite short love story.

MERCER is a wonderful addition to Lana Dash’s Alaskan Mountain Bush Pilots series, and while these bocks are described as instalove stories, this one is a beautiful account of a couple that spend a year getting to know each other, while never disclosing what either actually look like. I was drawn to both leads; Livvy with her desperate need to escape the efforts of her overbearing mother to choose her husband, and Mercer with his easy-going demeanour, and his underlying desire to find his forever love. This is a fabulous, quick and thoroughly engaging read that leaves the reader with warmth in their soul and hope in their heart.

The story begins with a woman wanting to write an email to her sister, but by mistake sends it to an unknown man in Alaska.
When he replies to her mail to tell her she send it to the wrong address, a friendship between them evolves, but they never meet and never exchange photos.
But one day she gets an assignment to Alaska...
A funny, lovely story of people who fall for the essence of a person, not their looks. A fairly sweet romance. Nothing exciting, but funny and charmingly written. A quite entertaining story.

He was her pilot on the plane and she was nervous to tell him who she is. The next day she said something and he figured it out it was her. They finally had a talk all was good till he answered her phone. Her mother said she was engaged, he leaves and she calls her mother and gotten the truth. Things are ok now

Livvy sent an email to her sister, unfortunately typed in wrong email address. It actually turned into a friendship that lasted over a year. Livvy never thought she'd ever meet mercer cause he lives in Alaska. Livvy was a journalist, so when her company needed a new way to go, Livvy jumped on with an idea to go to Alaska and take a new few for the magazine. Once there, her and Mercer hit it off and the two have never been happier. Wrong email

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Mercer and Livvy. He's a bush pilot and she's a travel journalist. When Livvy sends an email to the wrong address instead of her sister, it begins the year long back and forth between Livvy and Mercer. When a chance to travel to Alaska from Boston lands in her lap, she leaps at the chance to meet Mercer. But her mom is causing issues. Great HEA in the end.

Mercer and Livvy was a great story, I love how they started sending emails back and forth for a year. Then Livvy decides to go to Alaska and do a travel article and also meet Mercer. They both find that the person they were emailing turns out to be the person who is sitting next to each other. Livvy was scared to tell Mercer who she was right away in case he was disappointed. What a gigantic misunderstanding. There was drama, steamy scenes, and a happy ever after. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

This is a new author for me, I really enjoyed this fast-paced quick to read novella. I found it to be well-written with an interesting sweet and steamy mountain man storyline. Both Mercer and Livvy were incredibly likable characters, they have a great connection between them from their first email.....

Wonderful story, I will definitely read more by this author.

Must read!

Livy accidentally emails Mercer instead of her sister and from there they started a year long pen pal relationship. They both really like each other, but Livy doesn't share the details about her life. She decides to go to Alaska and shoot some video and they find their way to each other. So sweet. Though, I can tell ya, if my mom acted like hers, I would have run for the hills.

Fun, Fun, Fun! Mercer and Livvy have a very unique meeting, and I love their banter. These two fall in love online, without even trying. A few bumps along the way, some drama caused by Livvy's mom, but a brief scare makes none of that matter. Mercer and Livvy are fun and sexy, clever and smart. A great story, perfect for a break from reality!

This is book 2 in the series. Book 2 ask the question can penpals eventually become more? Mercer is an Alaskan Bush pilot. Livy is a journalist who begs her boss to write about bush pilots. When the two finally meet in person, sparks fly. Will the two finally admit to each other how they feel or will they continue hiding their feelings. This is a short read with just the right amount of steam.

Livvy and Mercer have such a meet cute story. I really like the way their story evolves from day one. It is a slow burn but it is such a unique slow burn that it gives you all the feels over their growing relationship. Livvy is sweet and cute and friendly and it is hard to see that she belongs to her mom. Andrea is another character I do not care for. Very enjoyable.

Mercer is hired to fly a travel writer and finds her very appealing. However, he’s in love with his long time pen pal. Livvy comes to Alaska under the pretense of writing about life in the bush. Actually, she wants to see if her feelings for her pen pal are real. I especially enjoyed that their relationship first began by finding out about each other.
