The untamable Sebastian Carter. At least that’s what the girls say about him. We never crossed paths. We weren’t in the same group of friends or anything. But on the rare times that we were in the same room, my body’s reaction to his presence baffled me. Why couldn’t I look away? Why does my heart beat quicker? Why do I feel like I can’t breathe around him?
I never had to think about it. He was so far out of my league anyways. But then my best friend dated his best friend and we finally meet.
Something starts with Sebastian and I. Something passionate, unadulterated and raw.
Untamable. A playboy. A womanizer.
What happens when I want more? And what happens when I get more but lose him in the end anyways?
I will always rate a safe book 4 or 5 stars even if I didn't enjoy it as much because of all the crap we are force fed these days, it makes a nice change! That being said though, I truly enjoyed this one. It is a sweet romance, SAFE, with a wonderful possessive Hero and a strong heroine!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
And I LOVED it!!! I miss reading about insane obsessive love!!! I loved the first book of this author and she asked me to review this one too and I REALLY love it! I love a possessive, jealous hero. I love a strong heroine.
There were so many FEELS!!!!! Check out my highlights, trust me ;)
"You need all of me. All of my attention, all the time. It gets you wet when you see my possessiveness, when you see how crazy I go for you, how much I want you. You didn't say stop once when I told him to fuck off. You need me to want you more than anything else in this world."
Sebastian and Isabel are the best friends of the first book's MC's. I really hurt for Isabel... I wanted to hug her in the kitty incident! Sebastian was swoon-worthy and this book had one of my FAVOURITE things in romance novels!! A GROVEL! I LOVE ME A GOOD GROVEL and not a summarized one, but a proper one so thank you Bella for that!!!
Sebastian and Isabel start a sexual relationship and it's hot, dirty and so consuming. It seems more... but why does Sebastian still say he's single? Why's he distant sometimes?
Let me tell you, Sebastian messes up. But man, the grovel and her strength was amazing. She wasn't weak.
"I thought I'd love you so hard, you'd have no choice but to forgive me."
I believed in their love. Isabel's journey in this book was amazing to read about as well. Highly recommend if you love a possessive hero, strong heroine and hot hot scenes.
PS: Dying for Gabriela and Jace's story!!!! This snippet alone made me WANT IT SO BAD:
"He calls her precious." "What?" "I heard him talking to her, he calls her precious." "Did he really build her a library in their home and get her books flown in?" "Yeah. A private jet just for books. Imagine that." "Well, that's the least he owes her. He was horrible in the beginning."
YESSS!!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING A BOOK FROM THIS AUTHOR FOR THE LONGEST TIME AND FINALLY WHEN I SAW THAT SHE CAME UP WITH THIS I WAS IMMEDIATELY GO FOR IT! I READ IT IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THATS HOW OBSESSED I AM lol.
So this author always writes a happy ending book, safe love story and with a alpha that is so alpha male and over the top possessive.... SO STAY TUNE WITH HER BOOKS IF YOU WANT A ALPHA AND STORY LIKE THAT! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
‼️‼️‼️SAFE ROMANTIC HOT LOVE STORY.
‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION. But not too long, only weeks. It has separation like two times if i remember and during those times BOTH ARE LOYAL AND NEVER EVER GO TO ANYONE ELSE EVER. The heroine thought the hero was with someone else tho but he never was. Because thats how obsessed he is about her....
‼️‼️‼️NOT LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT. It’s more like a electricity touch tho....
‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES. Both are clean, celibate for a while i think and the hero said in the past he always wears protection.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE FOR SURE!!!!
‼️‼️‼️MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO AND FROM THE HEROINE. Well the hero is the one who is too much tho but the heroine is jealous sometimes too. I lost count on how many jealous scenes the hero does lol. It’s very hot and romantic and even at first was confusing because he got jealous before they were officially dating.
When the hero wants the heroine to have a spa, at first the one who have to the job was a male but the hero immediately changes it and make it a woman because thats how jealous he is. When the hero saw the heroine is doing a cheerleader dance with a male partner, the hero changes it because he can’t stand some guy touching and holding the heroine.
“I didn’t like you touching him.”
“I DONT WANT YOU AROUND MEN WHO ARE GOING TO TRY TO TALK TO YOU AND TOUCH YOU. YOU’RE MINE.”
And many more from the hero.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO always said to the heroine many times and to everybody else: YOU ARE MINE. Mine mine mine mine.
‼️‼️‼️DRAMA WITH OW but not too annoying. And the hero never actually have s*x with her. I’m glad that the author didn’t put many or more than one other woman drama because the hero have a reputation of being a playboy so i was afraid to see them more. But nope. I didn’t see it more and only one woman. DRAMA WITH OM but not too annoying either. Other main drama is about their family tho.
‼️‼️‼️OF COURSE WE GET TO SEE JAX AND SELENA being all lovey and cute! And how many times jax is jealous and obsessed with selena🥺🥺
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY FROM BOTH THE HEROINE AND THE HERO. NOT TOO ANNOYING THO IN MY OPINION, especially in the middle you get to see the reasons why is that. At first i hated it and annoyed with the hero and heroine but I’m glad it doesn’t take that much. I’m sympathize with their reasons on why they push each other away at first...
‼️‼️‼️Many funny scenes. It made me laugh couple of times lol.
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is sassy but not too sassy and she’s very beautiful. Many guys likes her and always hit on her because thats how attractive she really is.
‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING. Both are going to get married...
“SHE DOESNT REALIZE THE EXTENT OF MY LOVE FOR HER. MY NEED FOR HER SCENT, HER BODY, HER HEART, AND EVERY CELL WHICH MAKES HER, HER.” 🥺
I gave it 4 stars because there are somethings I didn’t like. Which is this:
1. The heroine is very insecure about herself because how her parents treated her and damage her physically mentally. Thats why she likes the hero too much. I just didn’t like how she just really likes the hero at first when the hero didn’t take her very seriously at first. She try so hard for the hero which i find it to be too annoying actually lol. 2. THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE AND THEN DIDNT WANT THE HEROINE. HE SAID YOU ARE MINE BUT THE NEXT HE IGNORES HER FOR TWO DAYS. THE HERO GOT SUPER JEALOUS BUT THEN HE LET OTHER WOMAN TOUCH HIM (this is before they were officially together tho). AT THE BEGINNING THAT WAS CONSTANTLY HAPPENING WITH THE HERO NOT BEING MATURE ENOUGH TO ADMIT HIS FEELINGS FOR THE HEROINE. The heroine being the way she is like i said she likes the hero so much, she forgives him. When he didn’t even say sorry to her at first lol. 3. IN THE END OF THE BOOK IT WAS SO ANNOYING. THIS IS WHEN THEY ARE SEPARATED OKAY; THE HEROINE SAID SHE DIDNT WANT THE HERO AND SAID NO. BUT GOES TO THE HERO WHEN THE HERO THREATENS HE WILL GO TO ANOTHER WOMAN IF SHE DIDNT GIVE HIM A CHANCE. SHE MAKE SURE HE IS ALONE AND WHEN THE HERO ASK WHY YOU CAME. SHE LEFT AGAIN. WTF. THE HERO WENT ON A AUCTION AND THE HEROINE STALK HIM TO SEE IF HE IS LOYAL LIKE HE SAID HE WILL AND IF HE IS WORTH FOR HER TO GIVE HIM A ACTUAL CHANCE. then why push him away? He already explains he is sorry and explaining he whole thing but she push him away many times because she was super scared. But she continues to proceed on being jealous and stay close to the hero like wtf lol.
4. I WANT A LONGER EPILOGUE!!!!!!!! Like please please please.
Babies or 10 years later but nope :( so sad
5. I hated when the heroine goes to the hero when she found out something big about him. She already learn and saw it from the tv! Why even go to the hero and demand a explanation? The heroine don’t have a class and i hate that about her. Cringe af.
💢💢IT HAS TRIGGERS. Abusive mother.
Overall this story is amazing and fun to read. I love it. The author is actually my top 10 favorites of all times.
I love jealous and possessive heroes and so I liked that about Sebastian. He let his jealousy flag fly on multiple occasions. Be still my heart. I liked too that there was no cheating and no sex with OW after "meeting". I wish that there was no sex with OP after "seeing" each other but at least Isabel had sex with OM after seeing the hero. There was no sexist double standard in this story. Isabel thankfully was not a pining virgin.
I sooo tired of the manwhores and Sebastian was a well known one but again, at least he stopped being one after meeting Isabel. In addition both were celibate during the separation.
There were plenty of hot sexy times in the story, which is always a plus for me.
Sebastian irritated me when he played games in an attempt to get Isabel's attention. Then he really annoyed me when he lied to her and continued to do so. He should have just trusted her but he didn't. Also his reasons for not even talking to her were bs. Your telling me that he could not even make phone calls?
I wanted Isabel to be stronger and to break up with him much sooner than she did. I understand why she hesitated to show him the door given her background and her feeling that she loved him but she still acted too much like a doormat and let herself be taken advantage of by him. He even played games to get her back, intentionally making her feel jealous and insecure.
Most of the story is from Isabel's point of view. I believe that it would have been a better one if the reader was able to get into Sebastian's head more then the brief glimpses we got.
It is a HFN ending and I was find with that because it is a series. Also it is a KU read. I will be reading the next one as long as there is no sex with OP after meeting.

This was a really great story - fast-paced and hot, hot, hot! The characters were fiery, volatile, and passionate.
"He grabs my face in his hands and kisses me. No, this isn't a kiss. He's dominating me. It's vicious, rough, and hard."
The heroine, Isabel Talen, was sassy, stubborn and needy. Her childhood was troubled and her parents not the best. She had a lot of emotional baggage to contend with. The hero, Sebastian Carter, was alpha through and through - crude, arrogant, massively possessive and demanding. Usually the campus manwhore, from the moment he meets Isabel, he can't seem to stay away from her, even though she tries to deter him. They fell for each other really fast but Sebastian blew hot and cold, and was hiding secrets. They were insanely obsessed with each other, and drove me crazy with their push-and-pull dynamic. They seemed to spend a lot of time shouting at each other!
Although a standalone, there was obviously some kind of timeline overlap with the events in the first book, Captivated by Jax, but it didn't take anything away from Isabel and Sebastian's story. This is a 4-star read because although it was a great story and quite emotional towards the end, I thought the delivery of it could have been better. When I first starting reading the story, I was worried that I wasn't going to enjoy it as the writing style needs some refining - smoother transitions and a bit more eloquence perhaps. Overall, a really enjoyable read that was sexy, raw, frustrating and pretty fierce!
The story of Sebastian and Isabel is 🔥🔥🔥. I read about them in the first book of this series, being them the best friends of the MCs. But in this we see that was begins as a single one-night stand turns into something else. Sebastián is a manwhore, a player and as sees as he sees Isabel he knows he has to have her. Isa has a bad history with boys and all due to the lack of affection she has felt bc of her parents. But the constant attentions of Sebastian, plus the mind-blowing sex makes her open her heart to him. He does everything to let her know that he likes her but he is reluctant when it comes to making their relationship official, but God helps the poor boy who dares to touch his Isabel, then hell breaks loose. Sebastian is incredibly possessive and jealous, he doesn’t let her leave the house if it is not with his bodyguard/driver by her side. Sebastian finds it difficult to express his feelings for her, and it is not bc he is not sure that he loves her, but bc his fate has been sealed years ago. And when Isabel discovers everything that her lover has hidden from her, she breaks into a thousand pieces. Intense, addictive, sexy, what more could you ask for?
“Listen angel, I know you think you struggling right now will help your cause, but I got to tell you it’s just turning me on.” I stop my attack at his words. Is he being serious? Surely not, right? “Angel?” I question instead. “Do you have any idea…” He says sharply before taking in a deep breath. “You opened the door looking like a fucking dream with blonde hair and a tight, small body. Your face is bare of make-up and fuck me do you look like an innocent angel sent to tempt me. Pure and innocent, but not so innocent, are you? Your cheeks blushed and your nipples went hard when you looked at me. Do you like what you see angel?” His hands caress higher towards my ass and I start thrashing again to stop him.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I ignore him and my copious amount of tears as I continue throwing everything in the bag. Suddenly, he’s by my side, yanking my clothes out of the bag and on the floor. “You’re not leaving me!” He shouts, picking up the suitcase and throwing it across the room so that all the clothes fall out. “You’re crazy if you think I’m staying!” I shout at his face. “For you! I’m crazy for you.” He shouts, holding my face in his hands. “Not enough, not enough to make me yours!” “You are fucking mine!” He leans down to kiss me. He yanks the top of my cheerleading uniform off before throwing me on his bed. “You’re fucking mine, do not doubt it, Isabel!” He shouts before leaning down and sucking hard at my neck, marking me, and it hurts, physically and emotionally. “Get off!” I shout, slapping his chest. He takes my hands and holds them on top of my head. “You’re mine, let me have you.” He leans down and kisses me savagely. I move my face to the side, and he kisses down my neck. “I deserve more!” I shout and truly put my body into pushing him off. He freezes at my statement and leans up to look at me. “I deserve a man who wants me as much I want him.” I yank my arms free. “I deserve a man who is proud to have me as his girlfriend.” I get off from under him. “I deserve someone who would do anything to have me as his and not someone who can’t commit. You said of course when someone asked you if you were single, and it hurt. It fucking hurt because there hasn’t been a second since we’ve met that I felt single. I deserve more! So even if you need more time or whatever, I say no. Because I refuse to be your fuck buddy when I see you as so much more. I won’t be in the grey area anymore. We’re either officially together or we’re nothing. And you chose nothing.”
“We need to talk. We can finally be together.” “I’m not interested. We’re done, you broke up with me, remember?” “I didn’t want to.” He looks at me with torture in his eyes. But I refuse to believe his eyes, they’ve turned me into a hopeless fool before. “I don’t want to hear anything you have to say. We are done. Let me go.”
Thank you to the author who offered me her book in exchange of an honest review!
OKAY. Confession time. I love an OTT alpha male ... I love drama and angst. I loved this book and the first one!!!
This is about Sebastian and Isabel (if you remember book 1 cause its been a while since the author to release book 1) they're the best friends of Jax and Selina.
Anyways, they meet, there's fireworks, but there's something holding Sebastian back. But they're just friends with benefits... right?
I liked the growth of Isabel's character and damn, I REALLY felt for her. I didn't imagine she had this side to her in book 1. And Sebastian... sometimes I wanted to hit him when he was being an ASS but Isabel is strong. I REALLY love that she actually stood up to him!!!
I would recommend this to those who like romance with a side of angst and some hot hot moments!
This story had a lot of drama! I was not a fan of the H being a manwhore and the h using her big breasts as a pillow for her friend. I wish she would have taken her body more seriously considering her past. Plus, the drinking among the characters was insane. It was so excessive. Nevertheless, I am a sucker for a H that completely loses it without the h. He was possessive, protective, and obsessive of the h. I absolutely loved that. The sex scenes were also so well done and scorching HOT. The small glimpse of the next couple had me super excited. I am a huge fan of this author after the first book and can't wait to continue this series.
Taming Sebastian. I was given this book for my honest review. I will start by saying enjoyed this book and it pulled me in very quickly. This is the first book I have read by Bella Anthony, and I had to force myself to put it down to get some sleep the first night. Sebastian sounds like a girls “bad boy” fantasy come to life. I like the relationship that he develops with Isabel but it becomes intense very quickly. They both have an issue with being possessive but it didn’t change the way I felt about what I was reading. Some of the other things in the book weren’t as believable and maybe I’m a little naïve but the entire arranged marriage and the premise of why it was in place to me was a little hard to wrap my mind around. I did not however change my overall view of the book. I do think Bella could have been a little stronger of a personality. I would like to read the 1st book in the series to see if maybe that changes some of my views on the situations in this book.
This story overall was good but there was points my annoyance was on full display. I don’t like a weak heroine and Isabel was so weak at the knees for Sebastian at times it was to much. These two were instantly attracted to each other but Sebastian made it clear nothing more then sex would be a option and Isabel was ok with it even though she wanted more. Sebastian was beyond jealous and possessive of her but you find out why while reading the story. I wish I read the first book it might have kept my interest more
***Copy was given in exchange for an honest review***
Isabel Talen has lusted after Sebastian Carter from afar for awhile, but after the two meet face to face the feeling seems to be mutual. From the start Isabel tries to keep Sebastian at arms length due to his manwhore status, but he doesn't know how to take no for an answer and he keeps pushing at her walls until there is nothing left. The two are combustible together and when they are close to each other they find it impossible to keep their hands to themselves. Isabel and Sebastian are obsessed with one another but when secrets are exposed the two lovers are ripped apart. I loved Isabel and Carter's obsessive crazy love story they have.
I really enjoyed this book. Totally my style! Possessiveness, jealousy, fun times ;), all great things in a book and this one had it with Sebastian and Isabel. No I really want to read the first story in this series to just get more of this author.
Completely fell in love with Sebastian and Isabella "Bella"...talk about a page turner for sure! I even felt their pain and frustration! Would love to read more by Bella Anthony!
I got through this book pretty quick, it’s an easy enjoyable read. It wasn’t too raunchy, nor did I find the characters cheesy. There were some grammatical errors that I noted, but overall it kept my attention and I was rooting for Isabel to get a happy ending.
I don't think this book represents what a healthy relationship should be like, but that's what makes it soooo addictive. It was full of drama, yet I enjoyed every last bit of it.
The story: The h/H are in college together, both coming from affluent families (though we don’t know just how screwed up they are until further into the story). The h/H start a “casual” but committed physical relationship (with overtones of “Official" relationship that the H often freaks out about), and have a crap ton of back and forth and drama and mind games from both sides. There’s an ill-defined side story about a roommate being in danger from who knows what, which turns into a kidnapping-the-h situation; a secret/arranged engagement with a mafia family (H); a physically/mentally abusive mother (h)- and it’s all just a big effing train wreck, to be honest. I get the feeling that you really need to have read the first book to appreciate what’s happening in this story. And even then, I’m not sure I would. By the end of it all, I didn't hate the H as much as I initially did, my opinion of the h had tanked, and I was just ready to be done with it all.
My thoughts (aside from the ones that leaked out above): Literally 2 pages into chapter 1: “Well, that escalated quickly”... and not in a good way. It’s been a while since an H’s first impression has skeeved me out quite this much. How many times can a guy say “Do you know who I am?” and not want to throw him in front of a truck? Ick. And I’m sorry, but his lines of “sexy” dialogue were atrocious. Literally no one speaks like that in a real-world situation. No one. I repeat: Ick. Also, his immaturity and his acts of assholery were staggering. In any other book, especially with how he was acting in the first half, he’d be the villain of the story, with the “real” H stepping in to save the day. The h was just as bad though, if not worse, TBH. The overall writing style was strong enough to keep me from DNF’ing it, and had just enough good character moments and chemistry between the h/H to give me hope that my commitment to finish this would pay off and ultimately be worth my time... I’m still not sure that it was.
Heroin Gets Kidnapped Count: 1.5 (I feel like getting chloroformed by a masked home intruder counts)
Heroin Gets Thrown Over A Dude’s Shoulder Count: 6
Heat Level: 4 stars. As much as their out-of-the-bedroom antics annoyed me, their steamy scenes were a good balance of sexy and aggressive, ‘twas indeed steamy.
Would I read more from this author: I'd give them another shot, but with a different series. Hopefully with less immature, mind-game, toxic relationship bullshit.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Bella Anthony’s Taming Sebastian is an insta-love/lust story with a lot of familiar themes.
Sebastian Carter is Royal College’s resident playboy, and Isabel Talen has no desire to become another notch on his belt… most of the time. Admittedly, she’s a bit of a player herself, and has no desire to settle down. At least that’s what she keeps telling herself. But after a chance meeting, Isabel can’t help but feel drawn to him, and he to her, which sets off a chain of events that neither could have anticipated.
If you’re into intensely possessive alpha heroes/heroines, this book is going to tick all those boxes for you. If you love steamy scenes that don’t involved a lot of emotional depth, this book is going to fulfill that need. There was a familiarity to this story that hearkened back to my Twilight reading days, and there’s a similar push-pull dynamic between the protagonists in this novel as there was in that series.
The story is told in first person POV, mostly from Isabel’s perspective, though we do get a brief glimpse into Sebastian’s POV a couple of times throughout the story. I understand why the author made this narrative choice, for reasons I won’t spoil here, but I do wish that we would have been able to read more of the story from Sebastian’s perspective. I think it would have provided more of an insight into who he is as a person, and create a little more empathy for his throughout the conflict portion of the book.
I craved more emotional substance and character development from this book, but I think it serves the purpose of being an entertaining escapist read. And it’s safe, which I know a lot of readers value, though I will say that I’d classify Sebastian as more of an anti-hero type. There are moments in the book that I feel play into romance tropes that don’t work as well for me personally anymore, but it totally fits the possessive alpha niche, which is know is hugely popular. A healthy does of suspend/disbelief should be applied, but when is that ever a bad thing?
At the end of the day, Taming Sebastian is steamy and fast-paced with a satisfying ending.
An ARC was generously provided to me in exchange for my honest review.
This book to me was better than the first just because both of them are possesive and jealous of each other and it made the drama and angst just so dang good! The beginning half of the book is kind of major events from book 1 but isabel version and perspective and you kinda see what was happening with her and Sebastian behind what was going on with Jax and Shelby (or whatever her name was lol) anyways- I wish this was a bit longer it felt rushed at the end which kinda killed the needing but still really a great JP read.
- OTT JP MALE & female -Drammmaaa -Angst -All the jealousy
I received a free ARC from Goodreads New Adult Book Club for the promise of an honest review.
It was okay. Isabel and Sebastian have an interesting relationship. They love each other but it is borderline obsessive. They get jealous very easily and often. Sebastian keeps a secret from Isabel which causes them to end their relationship but Sebastian fights to keep her.
The book is okay. The storyline is good. It is a little predictable but it is entertaining. Isabel can be a little too whiny. Sebastian isn't a big of player as you think.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fun, sexy romance, the second in a series. I hadn’t read the first book, and the blanks were filled in in this one, but I do feel like I missed some backstory by not having read the first book.
It was a bit immature for my taste, with a lot of insecure and jealous drama. I did like how Isa stood up for herself and grew throughout the book. But while Sebastian means well, I found him to be too over bearing to be completely likable.
That being said, overall it was an entertaining read.
Holy possessive alpha hotness...if you like your heroes possessive and dirty talking hot AF, then Sebastian is your guy! Isabel and Sebastian and fire and fire both possessive and fiery! I have enjoyed this series so far and am looking forward to book 3!
Stuck between giving this 3 or 4 stars. It's a good college trope! H/h are sometimes immature but to be expected lol!!! I just can't with how much they party and drink —like????? An Ok read!
2.5 This was better than the first but the h who initially was decent specially in the first book and then second half she got on my nerves with her theatrics and no/yes/no.
