Started reading with some skepticism as few books have held my attention in recent years. This time I was hooked from the very beginning. Diane is a great storyteller. And in telling her story, she combines honesty with humor, and even a bit of suspense. Every piece of her story spoke to me, and/or left me thinking--often prayerfully. Highly recommended for anyone who could use a reminder that God is always there.
You never know how the Lord is working in the lives of your brothers and sisters. What a testimony of God's goodness and mercy. The book shows that God is faithful, fulfills his promises and allows us see that he works so many different circumstances to demonstrate that he cares totally and He is in control. Thank you Mrs Batchelor for sharing this book with us.
Diane's story is such a beautiful encouragement. Reading, and especially listening to the audiobook, really feels like having a conversation with Diane. She glorifies God's good work in every aspect and time (yes, even the mean ones) of her life. What an encouragement her story has been for me as I have faced my own share of mean times. It has been a great reminder to keep my eyes on God and the plans He has for me.
This is really an autobiography and I actually enjoyed it. I don’t read biographies as it’s not really something I’m into but this catchy and I found myself wanting to know more about the author as I read every chapter. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I could relate to her and highly recommended this book to anyone going through hard times. It’s pretty an uplifting read.
