Le vacanze estive sono il periodo dell’anno preferito da Levi London. Ogni estate, infatti, lui e i suoi fratelli vengono spediti in Florida per stare con i nonni. Per dieci settimane tutto è perfetto: ha libertà, divertimento e Summer West, la ragazza carina e spensierata che abita dall’altra parte della strada e per la quale ha in programma di confessare la sua cotta gigantesca.

Poco prima della partenza dei fratelli London, però, uno scandalo all’interno della loro famiglia fa sì che la loro madre li accompagni in vacanza. Non solo le possibilità di divertimento di Levi sembrano subire un drastico calo, ma quello che è successo a casa lo rende estremamente infelice.

Summer decide che Levi ha bisogno di una distrazione, sotto forma di una vera e propria guerra di scherzi. Levi però dovrà fare i conti con suo fratello maggiore, Lucas, più bravo di lui a combinare guai e determinato a uscire con Summer.

Such a fun book! Levi is such a good guy, but it still felt like a realistic perspective from a teenage boy. He's sensitive and thoughtful, not just with Summer but with his parents and even his brothers. I don't know how he was so patient with Summer, except for the fact that he understood her. Summer is great and I loved how playful she is. The pranks were hilarious and lightened up the story which otherwise deals with the heavier theme of infidelity. I'm always a sucker for a love story of unrequited love turned to romance, and this young adult book was sassy and fun with depth. Even though it's in a series, each book stands alone and can be read out of order.

I'm a mom and I cannot imagine having three teenage boys who are very close in age, very competitive, and very aggressive, in a sibling type of way. Kudos to their mom for dealing with this handful so well!

Lucas, Levi, and Logan have been going to Florida to spend their summers with their maternal grandparents for years now and have formed a very tight friendship with neighbors, Hunter and Summer. I love the relationship that this group shares because they all manage to navigate the tricky balance of entertainment, love, dishing out the hard times, and watching each others backs. But the competition for Summer's attention is fierce.

The story is told from Levi's point of view and it gives me hope that there really are decent guys out there for my daughters someday. Oh, wait! This story is fiction, haha. I do believe there are good guys in the world and loved the calming, sweet, loyal peacemaking and gentleman that he is.

Read the content description, because it really does fit the story well. While the angst runs high at times because of the drama, the playfulness and sass that Summer brings to the story, especially through the prank wars, really helps to ease the tension. This is a fun, teen story with very real and believable characters. The book flows really well and is easy to visualize. I love Florida and felt like my inner teenage self just spent a summer there with these characters.

Ecco un’altra autrice che non smette mai di stupirmi! I suoi libri non hanno trame eccezionali con avvenimenti mirabolanti, eppure in qualche modo sono sempre una sorpresa. Stavolta Robin Daniels si cala nei panni di un sedicenne alle prese col primo amore e con la rivalità tra fratelli.
A differenza degli altri è il protagonista maschile che racconta la storia, col suo modo tipico degli adolescenti, colorando tutto con la leggerezza propria di quell’età.

«Bene, te le sei guadagnate» le dissi, lasciando cadere le chiavi nella sua mano. «Diventerà un’abitudine?» chiese. «Vuoi che lo diventi?» «Tu che dici di sì solo in cambio di un bacio?» «Forse.»«Moccioso. Ero abituata a ottenere quello che volevo gratis.» «È colpa tua, perché baci troppo bene» le risposi, audace.

In Perfettamente estate c’è tutta la dolcezza degli young adult.
L’innocenza, l’inconsapevolezza, la goffaggine dei primi baci e dei primi approcci. E la Daniels li racconta così bene, senza perdersi in descrizioni articolate e ingombranti ma riuscendo allo stesso tempo a creare una trama ricca con dei personaggi ben caratterizzati.

Summer scoppiò a ridere e mi afferrò la mano, così che potessi tirarla su in piedi. «Se proprio devi» disse. «Finché non ti senti obbligato a farlo.» «Non lo faccio perché devo, sciocchina, lo faccio perché voglio.» «E se ne volessi uno ogni giorno?» «Allora te ne comprerò uno ogni giorno. Sarà meglio che mi trovi prima un lavoro fisso, però.»

Levi è un ragazzo giudizioso, calmo, pacifico, la perfetta via di mezzo tra i due fratelli esuberanti; Levi è il collante della famiglia London, quel muro che resta in piedi dopo il terremoto e che permette di ricostruire. E Summer questo lo sa, lei lo capisce al volo anzi, loro si capiscono senza nemmeno parlarsi, sono in sintonia, quasi sincroni, per questo le fa strano vederlo diversamente da un amico. Ma per Levi è arrivato il momento di tirare fuori un po’ di grinta e conquistare “la sua Estate”, soprattutto ora che anche Lucas (il fighissimo fratello maggiore) le ha messo gli occhi addosso. E lui farà di tutto per dimostrarle di essere quello giusto per il primo bacio, il primo appuntamento, il primo tutto.

Another cute one from Robin Daniels

Perfectly Summer is a lot of cute and fun with Levi and her 2 rowdy brothers, Lucas and Logan. After their mum caught their father cheating with one of his student, she move them all down to Florida to live with their grandparents. The 3 brothers are friend with their next door neighbours, Summer and Hunter. The gang have a blast and engaged in prank wars that are totally hilarious to read about. I love the gang's chemistry and spirit. Levi and Summer are cute as well

First I would say please, please read the content description above. It is exactly what I would say in regards to this book. I would up the recommended age to at least 16.

While I am not a fun of many of the things described in the content description above, one thing I am a fan of is characters that are distinct and easy to picture. I feel like I had a good handle on the personalities in this book. The whole story played out like a movie in my head which is always awesome. Given, it would be a teenage movie, so not really my go-to genre, but it was so easy to visualize everything. That is a sign of some good, personable writing.

I really loved Levi. Every single thing about him. He stole the show for me. The story is told from his perspective so that may be part of why I felt so attached to him but honestly, he is just a good guy. He is a peacemaker. He is kind and thinks of others, especially his mother. I'm a mother and I LOVE that. :)

Even though this book deals with a tough, emotional issue that isn't altogether uncommon unfortunately, there were so many lighthearted and fun situations that balanced it out. I felt like the hard things were represented well.

This book is part of a series although it can stand alone.

by far this one is the worst one in the series .. it really made feel bad about everything .. Summer is such a "tart" and she disgusted me so much how she was playing the two brother .. BROTHERS !!! are you kidding me ? and Levi is such a pansy for letting her do that to him .. Levi deserves so much better than summer .. she was just playing with everyone and very generous with her lips and body .. god so glad I finished it otherwise I would've been in a reading slump :((
What happened to the writer that wrote Perfectly Oblivious ?? I loved that book so much :((

Inutile dirvi che storia più adatta al periodo estivo di questa non ci sia. Il titolo è tutto un programma e noi lettori andiamo proprio ad assaporare l'estate di due adolescenti alle prime armi con l'amore. Levi e Summer hanno saputo farmi battere il cuore, questo è sicuro.

Il sedicenne Levi, come tutti i ragazzi della sua età, aspetta l'estate con trepidazione. Non solo perché sinonimo di vacanza da scuola ma anche perché può rivedere la sua amica Summer. Ma quest'anno è diverso. Quello che prova per lei non è più semplice amicizia e Levi non aspetta altro che il momento giusto per confessarle i suoi sentimenti. Peccato solo che lei provi attrazione nei confronti di suo fratello Lucas e che quest'ultimo si accorga di lei. Potrà mai il semplice e calmo Levi battere in amore l'esperto donnaiolo qual è suo fratello maggiore?

I fratelli London li ho apprezzati, in particolare, per la loro diversità. Lucas, il più grande, è un grande playboy, sicuro di sè e affascinante; Levi, il figlio di mezzo, è un ragazzo dal carattere tranquillo e coscienzioso, il classico bravo ragazzo; mentre Logan, il più piccolo di età ma non di statura, è vivace e diretto. Il più grande e il più piccolo fanno in modo, involontariamente, di spingere Levi a tirar fuori la grinta necessaria per conquistare Summer. Lui spicca in mezzo a loro per la sua semplicità e dolcezza, è la prova vivente che anche i bravi ragazzi hanno il loro potenziale e possono vincere sulla sicurezza di quelli cattivi che tanto affascinano noi ragazze. Anche Summer si era infatuata di Lucas perché "figo" ma la tenerezza di Levi fa breccia nel suo cuore e capisce quanto sia importante per lei il suo amico. Lei è una ragazza come tante che scopre la bellezza dei baci, l'apprezzamento da parte di chi prima la vedeva come amica o nessuno. Una ragazza insicura sui suoi sentimenti che impara a rivalutare le persone che la circondano.

Robin Daniels ci fa, di nuovo, da guida in un tenero viaggio nel passato tra primi baci, gelosie e amicizie. Ci riporta a quando eravamo dei ragazzini alle prime armi che cominciavano ad affacciarsi all'età adulta e a credere nell'amore. Perfettamente estate è una storia dove i bravi ragazzi sanno aspettare e guadagnarsi il meglio della vita, un romanzo che fa sognare ad occhi aperti.

Con perfettamente Estate si entra in direttissima nel genere YA, quei romanzi che ci riportano ai nostri sedici anni, ai primi turbamenti, alle cotte, e anche stavolta l'autrice lo fa in una maniera perfetta, mostrandoci questa fascia d'età.
Di nuovo il romanzo non è solo incentrato sulla scoperta del primo amore e sul come trovare il modo per confessare i propri sentimenti, no il romanzo ha una dimensione più corale e familiare.
In questo volume la famiglia London è la protagonista, con i suoi casini che sembrano scogli insormontabili da superare e fanno male. Sono tre fratelli, tutti diversi tra loro per aspetto e carattere e tutti in età adolescenziale. L'autrice ci mostra le dinamiche che si vengono a creare tra loro durante questa strana estate, che ruoterà tra scherzi spassosi e la "conquista" di Summer, l'amica della porta accanto.

A rischio di essere presuntuoso, penso di essere io ciò di cui hai sempre avuto bisogno.



La voce indiscussa di questo terzo volume è quella di Levi, è attraverso i suoi occhi che tutta la storia ci viene filtrata.
L'autrice è stata bravissima a mostrare le insicurezze sentimentale di un adolescente, uno di quelli che fanno parte della schiera dei bravi ragazzi.
La confusione e le incertezze di Summer vengono analizzate attraverso gli occhi di Levi.

Prima di tutto, non chiedermi cosa devi fare. Sono il tuo primo bacio, non il tuo istruttore dell'arte del baciare. Non c'è niente di meglio per uccidere l'atmosfera che avere me che ti dico fare per tutto il tempo.

Come dicevo all'inizio il romanzo è proprio adatto alla fascia d'età degli adolescenti in quanto le scene sono prive di contenuti erotici espliciti.
Anche in questo terzo volume la trama è semplice e già da subito capisci quale sarà la scelta di Summer, ma non è questo che conta, perché la differenza nel testo la fa l'autrice con la delicatezza e la simpatia con cui ha affrontato alcuni dei temi presenti nel romanzo.
Mi sono così affezionata a tutti i fratelli Logan che mi piacerebbe leggere un romanzo anche su Lucas e su Logan... e perché no, anche uno su Hunter, il fratello di Summer.
E se ancora non vi ho convinte, nel romanzo apparirà anche qualche protagonista presente negli altri volumi.

I loved the first book in this series, the second one was also good, but I had a few issues with that one. Still, I love Daniels’ style, fun wit, and hilarious characters.
Once again this book delivered, and then some.
I read this book almost in one sitting, and it was a real punishment to put it down. The fun pranks, the ridiculous sibling rivalry, the silly brotherly taunting, it all reminded me a lot of my brother. It was so real, so like many boys are, I was laughing out loud through most of the book.
Summer had to grow a little on me. At first I liked her a lot, then her whole undecided nature got a little under my skin. That being said, it is so true to the teenage years. It reminded me a lot of being 14-15 and discovering boys and not being sure who I liked.
All in all a fun read, nothing too heavy, with a cute HEA. Nice to have the characters from the previous 2 books make an appearance, even if it was only a small one.

"Non riuscivo a pensare a niente che mi piacesse di più che farla sorridere"

Eccoci al capitolo conclusivo della serie Perfectly con un altro YA autoconclusivo. Protagonista di quest’ultimo capitolo è Levi London, l’ultimo di tre fratelli, il più saggio e responsabile che, come tutti gli adolescenti, ama l’estate. Non vede l’ora di partire per raggiungere la sua adorata amica Summer e poter stare con lei ogni momento, perché il bello di stare dai nonni è che non ci sono troppe regole. Logan è il maggiore, che si sente molto figo e se ne vanta, e passa tutto il giorno davanti ai videogiochi e non perde occasione per prendere in giro Lucas, il fratello più strano e superficiale, che suona in una band con il fratello di Summer, ma ha il suo fascino da rockettaro.

Ultimo giorno di scuola, tornano a casa e vedono andar via la segreteria del padre….. ops, un imprevisto.
Il tempo per loro si ferma, mentre la madre va a mille e gli dice di prepararsi, loro si ritrovano in un tumulto di emozioni contrastanti e la voglia di spaccare la faccia al padre, i loro piani cambiano, la madre andrà con loro, non hanno neanche il tempo di rendersi conto di ciò che sta accadendo che sono già in macchina alla volta della Florida. Il tradimento pesa su tutti quanti, ma Levi è il più comprensivo e lascia uno spiraglio di dialogo anche con il padre, è l’unico che affronta la madre parlandole come se l’adulto fosse lui, è sempre lui che ha la testa sulle spalle ed è ancora lui che subisce le stupidaggini dei fratelli più grandi. Ed è ancora lui che crede di non meritarsi Summer come fidanzata.

Levi è così semplice e trasparente, è adorabile ed è palesemente innamorato della sua amica Summer, tra loro c’è quel tipo di amicizia che supera quel confine tra l’essere amici e qualcosa in più. Eppure lui rispetta la cotta di lei nei confronti di suo fratello Lucas, è così da sempre, ma le cose sono più complicate questa volta, vuoi gli ormoni o che Summer è diventata davvero bella, sarà difficile per lui tenere a bada la gelosia. Summer lancia molti segnali confusi, anche lei in realtà non sa chi e cosa vuole. Non la posso biasimare, ha raggiunto l’età per avere il suo primo appuntamento e deve “solo” decidere se uscire con Lucas, la sua cotta di sempre, o con Levi, il suo amico di sempre. Ad ogni modo Levi le agevola la scelta perché si fa da parte, non ci potevo credere, ma dove si trova un ragazzino che pur di vedere felice la sua amica la lascia andare con un altro?
Non hanno, però, fatto i conti con le scintille e le farfalle nello stomaco e quando Levi capisce che tutti fanno il tifo per il team Levi, persino la mamma e i nonni, si dà una svegliata e decide di pensare anche a se stesso. Non tutto è perduto perché per fortuna l’appuntamento non va come previsto e si presenta una grande occasione per Levi, conquistarla, baciarla e dimostrarle tutto il suo amore con la complicità di un pic nic sulla spiaggia, la Cadillac del nonno e la gentilezza di Levi. Chissà se Summer farà la scelta giusta?

Il bacio si accese, intenso.
Fuochi d'artificio, lampi, fulmini, chiamateli come volete,
ma stavo andando a fuoco"



Una ventata di aria fresca, amori adolescenziali, primi appuntamenti, scherzi esilaranti tra fratelli, legami che si rafforzano grazie all’amore di una famiglia che non molla neanche nei momenti di difficoltà. La mamma di Levi non si è disperata, non si è lasciata andare, ma si è rimboccata le maniche per far sì che i suoi figli avessero una vita felice nonostante tutto e non li ha allontanati dal padre, li ha spinti ad affrontare la verità e perdonarlo. Il finale lascia ben sperare che nonostante abbiano stravolto le loro vite e si siano trasferiti, questa famiglia abbia ancora una possibilità.

Mi sono ritrovata a ridere e quasi piangere con tutte le emozioni che i protagonisti vivono, la complicità di Levi e Summer e quelle scintille le ho provate anche io attraverso loro perché queste sono le storie che mi piacciono, che mi fanno battere il cuore come quando avevo 17 anni.

Tutto sembra essere stabilito come negli anni precedenti. Alla fine dell’anno scolastico i fratelli London: Levi, Lucas e Logan andranno a passare le vacanze estive dai nonni in Carolina del Sud per poi tornare alla vita di tutti i giorni con l’inizio delle lezioni. Tutto come sempre fino a che i ragazzi non tornano a casa l’ultimo giorno di scuola e trovano la madre in lacrime e il padre colto in flagrante con l’assistente. In quel momento tutto si spezza. I ragazzi fanno di corsa le valigie e la mamma li porta immediatamente dai nonni, decidendo alla fine di trasferirsi definitivamente. Per i fratelli London è un duro colpo lasciare le loro vite e gli amici per un cambiamento così drastico. Levi, però, ha un motivo in più per accettare di buon grado la novità. La “sua” Summer vive nella casa accanto a quella dei nonni e sono ormai anni che si ritrovano per passare quel periodo insieme, solo che lui non la vede più come una semplice compagnia di giochi. Si sta innamorando della meravigliosa ragazza che sta diventando mentre lei non ha occhi che per suo fratello Lucas. Riuscirà Levi a convincere Summer di essere il ragazzo adatto a lei? Lo scoprirete solo leggendo!

“Dici sempre che i ragazzi gentili arrivano per ultimi, ma io penso che le cose migliori capitino a chi sa aspettare.”

Si tratta del terzo romanzo della serie Perfectly, ma lo si può leggere anche senza averlo fatto con i precedenti in quanto autoconclusivo. La storia è raccontata dal solo punto di vista di Levi e ho trovato adorabile seguire i suoi ragionamenti e vederlo struggersi d’amore per Summer, mentre lotta contro la voglia di uccidere i suoi fratelli che lo trattano sempre come il piccoletto di casa. Levi è il collante della famiglia, cerca sempre di mediare in tutte le situazioni, anche nel caso dei problemi tra i suoi genitori ed evita, se possibile, lo scontro. Quando si rende conto che i suoi sentimenti per Summer sono cresciuti ulteriormente inizia a sentirsi insicuro. Deve contendersi le attenzioni di Summer con suo fratello Lucas, che è il rockettaro della famiglia dal fascino selvaggio. Sicuramente mostra più audacia e sicurezza di lui e tutto questo lo mette in situazioni davvero difficili e imbarazzanti. Tutta la nuova situazione famigliare con il padre, poi, non aiuta per niente perché è difficile ricominciare in una nuova città, in un altro stato e con due genitori che devono ritrovarsi e ricominciare a capirsi. Ho trovato questo young adult davvero dolcissimo. Il punto di vista di Levi è davvero coinvolgente e penso proprio vi innamorerete facilmente di questo ragazzo così insicuro, ma caparbio e deciso a fare di tutto per rendere felice la ragazza che ama…anche lasciare che stia insieme a suo fratello, se è quello che lei vuole.

“«Non essere ridicolo, non succederà mai.» Mi spinse via, poi divenne silenziosa, come se fosse nervosa. Summer abbassò lo sguardo sul peluche che stava stringendo. «In realtà, speravo che mi avresti portata fuori tu per il mio primo appuntamento.»«Io?» Ero sbalordito.Summer sorrise e disse: «Sì, tu. Chi altri vorrei che mi portasse fuori?».Qualcosa esplose nel mio petto e il mio corpo divenne caldo e formicolante.”

Lettura leggera e rilassante, da leggere assolutamente, perché ogni tanto abbiamo bisogno anche di staccare la spina e tornare alla nostra adolescenza, con le paure e i dubbi che abbiamo vissuto tutti, ma soprattutto con i primi amori che hanno fatto battere forte il nostro cuore e hanno lasciato un segno sulla nostra anima.

Cinque libricini meritatissimi.

LOVED this book!!! Perfectly Summer by Robin Daniels is the third installment in The Perfect Series, and this time focuses on Levi London and his crush on his best friend Summer. I’m a sucker for best friend romances anyways so it wasn’t a stretch for me to fall in love with Levi and Summer. Fraught with drama, Perfectly Summer is a sweet read that will leave you smiling long after you finish it.

The book begins with Levi excitedly getting off the school bus on the last day of school only to find both his parents at home. His mother is upset, locked in the bathroom. His father is in a state of undress, and an unknown young woman is leaving their house. You can connect the dots from there. His mother tells him and his brothers to pack their bags that they won’t be coming back. Devastated and confused at what has occurred, Levi and his brothers do as asked, and their summer vacation to their grandparents is not what it usually is since their mother plans to stay.

The entire story is told from Levi’s perspective, and I found that refreshing. There isn’t enough YA contemporary from male perspectives in my opinion. Levi is smart, kind and compassionate. As the middle child, he plays peacekeeper between his older and younger brothers. The only person he lets his guard down with is his best friend Summer, who happens to be his grandparents’ neighbor and the reason he looks forward to summer break at their house every year.

Summer is a year younger than Levi, a little immature, and completely clueless to her best friend’s crush. Though I’m not totally convinced that she doesn’t feel the same from the get-go. She’s sarcastic, an instigator, and the perfect compliment to Levi. I really like her, even if she is crushing on Levi’s older brother Lucas.

The plot of this book is two-fold as it focuses mainly on Levi’s crush. He has competition with his brother Lucas who has finally taken a notice in Summer. BUT rather than feel defeated at the prospective of losing her to him, Levi decides to let his intentions be known subtly. I liked this. Summer has to choose between her longtime crush and best friend and it isn’t easy. Not to mention the prank war that she came up with to cheer Levi up 😀 It brings levity to an otherwise sad plot revolving around infidelity.

Overall I really enjoyed Perfectly Summer. I liked Levi and Summer, their sweet friendship, and his infatuation with her. I found myself rooting for him, laughing at the pranks, and even tearing up at the parents’ situation. I highly recommend this book (and the entire series) to anyone that enjoys sweet, YA contemporary romance. While this book can be read as a standalone, characters from the previous books do pop up in this one so I recommend starting with book one

Dei romanzi di Robin Daniels vi avevo già in occasione della pubblicazione del primo e del secondo volume e sono stata stra felice di poter leggere anche il terzo.
Dei primi due mi aveva colpito la freschezza, la dolcezza e questo nuovo volume non delude le aspettative: frizzante, dolce, coinvolgente, divertente e sempre convincente.
La storia è narrata dal pov di Levi, un ragazzo responsabile, generoso, sicuramente sembra molto più maturo dei suoi 16 anni: la storia inizia con il giovane in procinto di partire per la tanto agognata Florida, raggiungendo i nonni che vivono lì e ritrovando Summer, con cui ha sempre avuto un fortissimo legame e che oramai è un'adolescente fatta e finita e questo particolare è stato notato sia dal ragazzo che dai suoi due fratelli, Logan e Lucas.
Di più non vi dico perché questa divertente storia va gustata pagina per pagina.
Ho adorato Levi, è quel protagonista che ti verrebbe da sostenere, abbracciare e per cui tifare tutto il tempo della lettura: un ragazzo d'oro, dai sani valori, sani principi, che è disposto a sacrificarsi per aiutare le persone a cui tiene, leale, caparbio e determinato.
Robin Daniels ha scritto una storia, ancora una volta, credibile, con dei protagonisti riconoscibili e che hanno una crescita durante la narrazione; non cade nella banalità, ma sa rappresentare benissimo i ragazzi di oggi, con le loro sfaccettature, i loro pregi e difetti, i momenti bui e quelli di euforia, gli scivoloni ma anche le riprese.
Lo stile è sempre super scorrevole, fluido, si legge in un attimo: un romanzo che merita di essere letto (e dovete assolutamente recuperare anche i primi due), divertente, frizzante e dolce.

It was okay book

I’m a say this I actually liked books one and two. But book three it kind of started off slow and I had to read a least four other books before going back to this book and finishing it.

After reading the last book once I stop reading this one. This book got good once I return to it again. Often times it is like that for me.

I wanted to read and finish this book because I wanted to know how Levi and Summer got together. Because I’ve heard about Summer in the book with her friend Andy and the girl Ivy.

One thing I can’t understand how in the world she ended up kissing not ONE brother but all THREE brothers. I was like a dang girl. But she was definitely naive because I couldn’t understand how in the world. She couldn’t see how Levi liked her and everybody else saw that he liked her. Even her friends Andy etc knew that he had feelings for her.

It took her to talk to Andy for her to figure out and for Levi to actually tell her again about how he felt about her. Which was just crazy like it was so many signs about how he liked her. Even when I was reading Jordan book which is the fourth book. Now I understood what she meant about Summer being a little naive.

The names and the ages of the brothers kept confusing me. Sometimes it felt like the characters were older or at least their correct age. Sometimes it felt like they were much younger. I've not read a lot of stories fully from the guy's perspective so I felt slightly challenged in it.

The plot is different then what I have been reading and I enjoyed the family 'drama' or the dynamics that were shown. At least some of the time. Levi, oh goodness, I wanted to really like him, but I felt that he became one way or another. One scene he seemed to be this mature confident person, the next time he seemed like the simplest thing would just make his wall crumble. I just felt off with his character.

It was a story that as I continued to read it, I honestly just wanted to get it finished. I rarely leave books unfinished but I figured if I actually put the book down for the night or something I might not come back to it, at least not right away.

This was cute; I gave it four stars only because I really thought it was hard to differentiate between the brothers. In real life, it wouldn’t be bad but in the book I kept being like, “wait which one is this?”

Overall though it was cute. I, for once, liked the “love triangle” because it made sense. Summer had never thought about Levi like that and she only had superficial knowledge about Lucas. She is a 16yo girl trying to figure out which boy she liked! And she was pretty upfront about where she stood too. It was a nice refreshing take!

I think this book benefited from having a really nice guy be the MC. If you had a really raunchy guy, most girls would hate it. But we like getting into the mind of a nice guy. :)

This is really adorable.

As a 48 year old reader of young adult books as well as new adult, it’s easy to get jaded about simpler storylines and slower moving action. The relationships in this book are really sweet, both between the main character and romantic interest as well as the parents and kids. I liked the side story adding bulk to an otherwise humorous story. Loved Robin’s first book in this series and this didn’t disappoint. Love books that make me laugh, a lot.

It's cute..

Perfectly Summer is a cute book. It took me a bit to get into it and all the brothers having "L" names was a pain to keep track of, but overall it was good. There are a few guest appearances from other Perfect series characters. Levi and Summer are fun characters, though sometimes you want to scream at their little teenager selves for being dumb. Overall, good story, fun characters and Robin Daniels writing style is awesome.

A great summer YA read!

Levi has been best friends with Summer for years. But now he wants more. Unfortunately, he has to compete with his older, good-looking, guitar playing brother for Summer’s attention. Add a prank war and a family crisis, and you have an action packed story. Clean YA romance

Levi was a little too perfect and Summer was a little too wishy washy and sometimes downright insensitive. Also, isn’t there some unwritten bro code that you don’t date the same girl your brother dated? I liked how the whole thing was from Levi’s perspective but I’m not sure if that’s actually how a teenage boy would think about things. Contains: kisses, mild language

Another cute read

I’ll admit I had a goofy grin while reading this book. The dialogue with the brothers is like mine with my brother and cousins. I didn’t give it a five star because I felt the trauma with the dad could have gone deeper but that’s ok. Four stars is there because I really enjoy robin Daniels style and easy flow.

Another winner!

This was a fun, light, clean romance, suitable for teens and up. It was fast-moving with engaging characters and a sweet storyline. It was fun to read the boy’s perspective for a change (this is told from Levi’s point-of-view). I highly recommend this book.

This book was pretty fun to read, and a big part of why, has to do with the brothers. They were so much fun. It was easy to get frustrated at Summer sometimes. It felt like she was playing the brothers at times, but I think she was just that unsure of herself and them. This is new territory for her, and she's growing up, and doesn't know what the heck she wants. It's a very confusing time, let alone when your best friends with a guy you're attracted to, but have had a crush on his brother forever, and his other hot brother is right there in the mix too. It gives a girl a lot to think about and fret over. So, I tried to sympathize with the poor thing. Back to the brothers.. They had the whole competitive, sibling rivalry thing going pretty strong, and there was a time or two that I wanted to kick them in the shins, but they were just too much fun. They were guys! I loved their personalities, all the pranks, and just the random guy goofiness. They said some hilarious things to each other. I could easily picture them giving each other grief in and around the house. It was great, and made this a super fun book to read. Andy and Ivy, from Perfectly You, even make a couple appearances!

Didn't feel young adult

The story is more for 12-15 age readers. With separation being the family conflict and first kisses.
In fact, if I was in 6th grade, this would have been a 3 or 4 star. So I'm not sure how to review this properly.

Cute, light read. Loved that the POV was from a admittedly "nice guy". There was a bit of internal family drama in this book in the series as well which branched it out from the previous 2. Overall it was a cute, fun read.

Bleh. Levi's brothers were funny, but Levi was too much of a stereotypical "nice guy" to fit the mold of love interest. He's sweet but sweet to the point where he became a doormat. Also, Summer was kinda sucky as a person.
