This novel has 422 chapters, and I dropped it at chapter 67. I can't stand that the female lead is too meek. If this novel had only 100 or 200 chapters, I think I can stand her meekness but 422 chapters are too long for me to deal with her weak personality.
I get that she's adopted and doesn't want to argue with her adopted family, but they treats her like shit. Her adopted mother even hit her on multiple occasions since she was adopted at the age of 6. What did Lin Chu do? She did nothing and put up with the abuse. Her personality is too much of a doormat.
Yan Beicheng is a rich and successful man, he really adores Lin Chu. He is shameless in his pursuit hence the title of this novel lol. I really tried to continue with this novel just for him, but then my thought is that Lin Chu doesn't deserve him and I don't want to see them together.
