Drew Sanford has a habit of making bad decisions. But after starting afresh in Long Harbor City, he’s trying to change his fate. He has moved in with a new friend, Brad Evans, and he has a new job at the Monkey Bar, the hottest club in town.
But just as Drew starts to build a new life for himself, an old flame shows up to complicate everything. Hank Evans is Drew’s old boss. Hank is Brad’s brother, and he is married. Trouble seems to find Drew wherever he goes.
As Drew begins to question his feelings and actions, his whole life implodes. Amidst secrets and betrayals, there will be crime and tears. While wedding bells seem to be ringing for some, other bonds seem bound to be broken.
Author's note: To Have and To Hold is the third book in Inge Mayhem's Wild Hearts series filled with mystery and suspense that will leave you craving more.

Wild Hearts Series: 1. Lone Cowboy 2. Thrills of Danger 3. To Have and To Hold 4. The Affair 5. Final Escape
#3 in the Wild Hearts series, 'To Have and To Hold' is not a standalone, the series is serial, ends on cliffhangers and must be read in order to be easily understood. Writing style is fast-paced and a bit vague, not completely fleshing out characters, motivation or details. Still, this one does move the plot along more than the proceeding stories. - MC Drew left the ranch to avoid further dalliance with rancher Hank, a married father and brother to Brad, Drew's current landlord. Hank comes to crash at Brad's apartment, further complicating Drew's life. The attraction is mutual, there is some steam in this book. - MC Tyson, supposed amnesiac after his kidnapping, has been seduced and turned by Victor (an agent of underworld boss Sam, Drew's dad) and is spying on Drew's movements. Not the sweet-natured boy anymore, Tyson has a different view of previous events than Drew, influenced by Victor. Tyson views Drew suspiciously, blames him for his kidnapping. - Drew, after confrontation with his crime boss father Sam, has sought protection from 'Aunt Amelia', a rival of Sam's, owner of several gay nightclubs. Drew works for Jay, her security man. - Brad and Michael, involved in a gay-hate crime, have deepened and professed their love, wounded Brad proposing to weeping Michael in the hospital. Brad is recovering at his apartment, as brother Hank moves in, and Drew frets over his messy love-life. - Drew, with Jay, is involved in Arson, burns Sam's bar down. Sam, Drew's dad dies, not in the fire but in another explosion, suspiciously. - These are a few plot points in this developing gay crime/mystery story, Drew at the center of it all. More to come, still kind of iffy on the plot, characterization; more heat in this story than before, and hopefully more clarifications to come...
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Michael and Brad are jumped by the elevated gang violence. Tyson is strongly influenced by Victor over over thing Drew, while Drew is stuck in the middle of a turf war between Amelia and his father but there is a wreckage of a surprise named Hank coming to town that Drew just may not be ready for. Just how far is Drew willing to go to get his revenge against his father was about to be tested as Samuel makes the first move. One drunkenly stupid mistake may unrival everything Drew loved. Man this series just takes you on a ride of wonders from poor gullible Tyson, bruised but not beaten Michael and Brad to Drew who just wanted justice against his dead beat father can't wait to see what comes next for all these Characters.
I was given a free copy as part of the Mayhem Arc team in exchange for review. Review is also posted to Amazon Canada.
* This is not a standalone. Its a continued story. * This is not a romance. There are m/m couples but story is based strictly on action/suspense
I am enjoying this continued story and I like all of the characters. I gave this one a slightly lower rating than book 2 simply because this one had so much going on and it was so short that each new event felt rushed and having so much at once is a bit overwhelming. I keep hoping these books will get longer and that each of the events will be explored more in depth. The part with Brad and Michael could of been written instead of skipped over completely. However, I will keep reading the series to find out what happens next.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Wild Hearts series. This series is not a stand alone, you have to read the books in order. In this third book, tyson has returned, but told everyone he has no memory of what happened, but he agreed to watch Drew for Victor. Drew has tried to find protection from his father and when he gets settled in with Brad, Brad's brother, Hank, Drew's old boss from the ranch comes for a visit. Drew feels something for Hank, but Hank is married with two children. Brad and Michael also have trouble. I wonder how this story will all end and tie together.
This story as a whole so far isn’t that bad. At times I know exactly what is going on and at other times, I’m not sure at all, but there is enough intrigue and mystery to the story to keep me wanting more.
It jumps around a little between different characters, which in some ways I really like, but I would like more of Drew and Tyson and not so much Drew’s roommate. Unless there’s a twist that’s going to happen with the roommate, then I’m all for knowing more.
Overall, I have enjoyed this series so far, I just wish each story was a little longer.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
This book was very fast paced and not a lot of context. It jumps around from person to person but never providing full details of a scene. This series is about mainly Drew and how his life continues to be rife with chaos. We need more substance into the characters and details of things that are happening. There should have been more when Jay told Drew is dad was dead. Important details are being left out in these short stories. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I should have known better after reading Number 1 in this series and missing Number 2 (not that it made much difference) but it was free ffs... Drew is "staying" with Brad, and Hank (B's brother) turns up - yup the Hank D is trying to avoid - who is also married (to a nice woman - hence Drew's turmoil). Still a muddled book; still too many men; nothing really substantial happens; and I really don't know why I carried on...
This is a serial by Inge, I liked this story but not long enough, I felt too much was unsaid I’m hoping the next story will be longer, I’d like more backgrounds on the characters, worth another shot.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I recommend this serial.
This book takes the characters we have come to know and love from the first books and puts them through the wringer. Just as some of them think they are getting their lives straightened out, the world intrudes and nothing will be the same. We have violence, betrayals, angst aplenty and love trying to fight its way through all the turmoil. You won't want to put this down once your start it.
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
Drew is torn between his love for a married man and finding his father. He goes to his father’s rival and finds himself in a situation beyond his control. If this book were fleshed out with more detail and a non-cliffhanger ending, it would be sensational.
I don’t really feel much happened in this book. The story progressed a little, but not much... Plus Drew is beginning to seem very self-centred and not exactly likeable.
I was offered an ARC for book 2 unknowingly that it was an unending series. Reading the rest to see how it ends. Well written but I don't like cliffhangers.
