Once again, Tony Spooner delivered an awesome account of wartime experiences in a battle that has largely been forgotten, at least in the United States. Spooner, having experienced the Battle of Malta first hand, recounts his experiences in such detail that you can’t help but get drawn into the story at multiple parts. I found myself in awe of the heroism that Malta’s defenders displayed during their constant attacks by the Germans & Italians. I highly recommend this book for any military enthusiast who wants a fairly short but excellent read about the true story of a wartime pilot.

An excellent accounting of Tony Spooner's time as a pilot before and during World War II. Highly recommended to anyone interested in the Malta campaign.
