When Matt Ferguson got severely injured during his last deployment, he thought he’d come home and marry his high school sweetheart and they’d live happily ever after. That dream crashed and burned when she left him after cruelly hurling words that still impact him to this day. Eventually, he finds a home with the Black Tuxedos MC and is now running the construction company that the MC owns. He’s lonely, but he knows there’s no woman alive who’ll deal with the problem he has, so he resolves to do what he can, where he can, even though all he wants is someone who he can love and who will love him back.

Mandie Matchum was dealt a crappy hand, but as her foster mother always told her, you make the best of what you’ve got and she’s trying. Raising two small children on her own with no support, she’s struggling to finish up her degree while working as a waitress at a local restaurant. She’s noticed the handsome biker but doesn’t think he’d ever want someone like her and anyhow, she’s no good at relationships so why bother?

Can two people who’ve lost faith in love still build a life together? Will they each overcome their past to forge a new future?

When Matt Ferguson returned home from deployment after an injury that took months to recover from and still has lingering effects, he is with his fiancee and ready to start their life together but his fiancee has other plans which leaves Matt moving on and staying away from women. Years later he has found a home with the Black Tuxedos MC and wondering if he can move past the hurt from his past and find his own happiness with Mandie Matchum.

Mandie is a single mom who is nearing the end of a dark tunnel with her plans for the future. She knows it is just a matter of time before her luck changes and when Matt makes his interest in her known she wonders if she can find a happiness sooner then later. Can Mandie and Matt find a happiness together?

I liked this one a lot, a bit different then the author's other books. I thought Matt was terrific and his back story was fascinating. Mandie is a fighter, she has been knocked down more times then you can count but she perseveres. Terrific read.

The H POV just didn’t feel authentic to me, and for that matter the timing of how everything unfolded went from zero to 150 in a blink and b4 you know it, it’s a deep abiding love of your life thing.

I hated how things started out for Matt in this one, so glad that he found the MC and a place to fit in. Glad too that he realized he needed help and talked to Reese, who helped straighten him out. Better was his going after Mandie and sure they did things backwards, but it worked for them. It was funny how by the time Matt was ready for show and tell with his wounds, Mandie had her own and he could show her that they didn't matter at all, it was the person that mattered. So great to this family so happy at the end!

This one was not for me. Nothing really wrong with it and many will probably really enjoy it. It’s sugar sweet and I need a bit more reality to connect. They went on one date and then he bought them a house and suggested they get married. One date. There was constant references to their ex’s. Everything was just too perfect and that’s kind of boring.

Matt: The Black Tuxedos MC is the third book in this series by Darlene Tallman. In this book, readers witness the romantic journey of Mandie and Matt. Mandie is a single mother of two young children struggling to make ends meet. She suffers a series of setbacks, but she continues to survive. Destiny brings Matt into her life. Initially as a customer at the restaurant where she works. Matt is the sole survivor of his military team as the result of an RPG explosion. He survived but is left with severe scarring. Upon return to his hometown, Matt is rejected by his girlfriend. He finds refuge with Reese and the Black Tuxedos. Over time, Matt and Mandie’s attraction grows into a relationship. But Fate throws several hurdles in their path. Will they be able to overcome them?

In this book, Ms. Tallman creates the perfect recipe in this captivating biker romance. She adds a bit of suspense through the obstacles she throws in their paths. I appreciate the way she blends in strong and likeable characters, sexual chemistry, and a splash of gentle caring and intimacy to make this an outstanding romance story. I also like the way she continues to connect with her secondary characters; thereby, creating continuity and the appearance of family. Nice touch, Ms. Tallman!

Matt was severely injured serving and protecting our country. When he was shipped home , he went to see his fiancée and she called him names when she saw his scars and left him. When she did that she left more scars on his heart that took forever to heal.
When he sees a waitress at the favorite steakhouse of the club,he wants her badly, but her not so much.
Mandie, is a single mom, with two kids and one of them has sever asthma. She is stretched to the breaking point with working, going to school and taking care of the kids, she doesn’t have time for anything or anyone else in her life.
Matt, takes over her life and helps with the kids and helps her so she can relax and take care of herself. Mandie isn’t use to having anyone help her, she never asks for help unless for the kids but never for herself.
Matt shows her what it is to have a family at your back and to give unconditional love and support. They have a love that is truly deep.

Loved it.

I was pulled into this book right from the beginning, staying there until I had read every single word that was written. I even had my mini movie playing along in my head.
Twists, turns and surprises await you within the pages of this story, some of the surprises are large, while others aren't. Some you may see coming where as others you won't. Some may pull on your heart strings and others may hit you square in the face, regardless of how the surprises are found, each and every single one of them holds equal importance. None of them will disappoint you.
The emotions that the characters go through in the story can be felt. I actually went through the emotions along with the characters. I did find that a time or two I really wanted to smack a couple of the characters, but they redeemed themselves in the end.
Darlene Tallman has done a fantastic job with this book, I highly recommend her as an author and this series, I would recommend that you read it from book one, so you understand the characters better and their position within the the mc. You will also get a better understanding on how the mc works.

Matthew and Mandie have both had a terrible prior relationships.
Mandie left beaten whilst pregnant and with a toddler. A single mother who is determined to provide for her kids, working as a waitress while studying bookkeeping to provide for her family.
Matt a recently returned injured soldier, badly wounded. after being released from rehabilitation to his fiance to find her disgusted by his scars. Matt finds The Black Tuxedo MC and his new family.
Matt has been captivated by Mandie the young waitress stubborn proud and determined, and finds himself wanting more wanting Mandie. This was a beautifully written heartwarming emotional story about two imperfect characters finding their forever. A strong connection between chosen family and the strength and love shared to money forward and learn to live and love again.

Matt and Mandy

Another awesome story. I never could understand how if a person truly loved someone, how they could literally freak out and say such hateful and hurtful words because of wounds they suffered either during war time or from a house fire while protecting your fellow team member or family members, but that is just what happened with Matt's ex. It is bad enough for any service member to see and do horrific things while in the military and then suffer from the nightmares that plague them, but I am very glad to know that there are therapist and therapy animals, mostly dogs that are trained to help in this situations. Mandy is a very strong and resilient mom to her two children and was thrilled when Matt wanted to get to know her and her children and was able to give them a loving and strong man in their corner. Happy reading.

Matt finds love

Matt meets Amanda and is smitten. He decides one day to let her know how he feels after receiving advice from a brother in his MC. He's hiding scars from being attack while defending his country. After his fiancee turned her back on him, he couldn't see himself in another relationship. That is until meeting Mandie.

Mandie is a single mother of 2 little ones that was abused by their father. She's worked very hard to keep food and a roof over their heads. Then she meets Matt and his crew at her work place. Once he shows his interest she's floored but decides to accept him.

Matt and Mandie will need to jump over hurdles regarding their inner turmoil and they do it beautifully!

Matt & Madie

Matt's story was fantastic, emotional, it will pull at your heart strings, you will cry, you will laugh, you will cry some more, and you will fell in love with Matt, Madie, Aria, Beau and Champ. From the minute I picked this book up I was drawn into Matt's world of his life as a soldier and My heart broke for him. When he returned home I wanted to wrap him up in a hug and I wanted to whip Jesse's rear end. I'm so happy she got her just dessert and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait to see more of them in the future as well as the rest of the men, women, and children of The Black Tuxedos MC.

Matt is a solider who was wounded while serving our country. After recovering from his wounds not only does he carry scars on the outside, but on the inside as well. Mandie is a strong single mother struggling to not only raise her littles, but by bettering herself as well. These two souls have burned and let down in the past so when they finally do let their guards down and come together we get to see just how true love can truly heal ones heart. Matt being the epitome of an overprotective male shows Mandie and her children just how a real man treat those he loves. The curvy road these two souls follow to gain there HEA is not only an emotional one, but one filled with true love.

A spectacular read!

I absolutely loved the story of Matt and Mandie! It's so sweet and romantic the way that Matt pursued her and her two small children. Mandie struggled for years financially after the father beat her while pregnant and then left. She is a strong independent woman and the is one of the things that Matt loves her for. There is such a sense of family and friendship between all of great characters peppered throughout the book. There is steam, struggles and trauma in these pages. I only have one complaint that has nothing to do with her terrific talents of writing. What did they name the baby!!

Oh goodness, Matt & Mandie's story is soooo sweet! They've been interested in each other from the beginning, but weren't sure how the other felt. They both have some things to work through - the emotional scars of their past relationships. Mandie is a single mom & her kiddos are adorable & I loved the way Matt embraced them under his wing. He is all kinds of swoony goodness, and I really enjoyed the way their relationship progresses in kind of an unconventional way. It's totally right for them!

I want MORE from this group of bikers & their HEAs!! : )

Matt and Mandie

What can I saw the wait was so well worth it. Matt has always been one of my favorites. I always wanted them to end up together. It takes a real mad who is not afraid of commitment and to do what is write for those he cares about and considers his. I love that he immediately wanted to care for Mandie and he knows she is a packet deal. I could not put this book down. I highly recommend it to everyone to read. I can’t wait to see what happens next

I loved Matt and Mandie sooo much! I have loved all the guys in the Black Tuxedos MC; they are the definition of family. Darlene Tallman doesn't just write MC romances. She takes all the good stuff; the support, the help, the camaraderie and combines it with soul deep love. I loved the slow burn, the backward way they go about their relationship and the genuine love and passion that grows between them. I loved being back with them and I hope we get to visit with them again real soon.

Wonderful love story

Matt is veteran with scars inside and out. He has his MC family and thinks that's all he will have. Mandie is a single mom raising 2 kids. She works at the Steakhouse. Matt reacts to Mandie and he wants to get to know her. Their story will make you laugh, cry, sigh and fall in love them and her kids! This story has more than club business, the love shines through! Looking foward to more in this series!

Scarred love

The whole series is a great read. Matt has served his country and has scars to prove it. He is rejected by his fiance and joins the Black Tuxedos. Mandy has had a bad go of life but is struggling to make things better for her kids. Together can they build a new life out of the scars of their past? Good characters, different kind of romance. The whole series is worth your time to read.

Matt - The Black Tuxedos MC

I was reading and I was sad for Matt for awhile. To come home from being injured, to being hurt like that by his fiancee. First of all I knew they wouldn't last, for the fact that he had been hurt and she didn't take any time at all to go see him. She deserved to hurt as much as him. I was glad when he finally made a move on Mandie, they both deserved all the happiness in the world.

I love the love and dedication these men have for their old lady’s and families. If you like sexy men who love hard, work hard and take care of what’s theirs you will love this book and this series.
