“Once upon a time there was a pelbunkin. The pelbunkin was green and it lived in a plughole. The pelbunkin hated vegetables; it only ate toes. With its sharp teeth. But the pelbunkin had a problem: it was stinky.”

When a child’s imagination runs wild and it creates a creature into reality, only it actually wants to be friends and not eat him. But Benny became so frightened that he would not take any more baths, becoming stinky himself.

Delightfully scary story, underscoring the dangers of children bathing without their parents nearby to fend off noxious creatures.
