Uncle Dad

Rate this book
Sean Matheson has always helped his single Mum sister Nadine take care of her two kids, Lucas and Megan, and his presence in their lives becomes even more important after Nadine finds out that she's dying.

She asks him to adopt Lucas and Megan after she passes and he agrees without question. But his mother declares that she'll fight him in court and his partner Brett forces him to make an impossible choice.

But Brett has his own reasons for not wanting to raise children and when his past comes crashing into the present, right before Sean has to legally fight his own mother, and with the rest of Sean's family using the opportunity to bring about their own drastic life changes, Sean has to resort to desperate measures in order to fulfil Nadine's wish.

This is a touching story of a 'Dad' who really does put the interests of his 'kids' before anything and anyone else.

So good you'll read it in one go.

Firstly I loved the book and read it in one sitting even though I meant to just start the first two chapters. it's a nice easy read with nearly all the loose ends tidied up so you finish with a smile. Hopefully the author will write more in this vein I can see a sequel where they help the ex boyfriend and mother come to terms with their past. Just one small criticism, please improve on the proofreading, there are three occasions where the wrong characters name is used in conversation and in a book as enjoyable as this they really stand out.
