From the last book - I was VERY curious to see how Kora and Turan's relationship would be. Kora was the nurturing nurse to him, when Turan was weak. The first several chapters are from the last book in their POV - which is fine however I was super curious to how their relationship of being together would pan out. I thought for some reason that Turan would have more respect and sense than Draga (the ML from the last book) - despite that he does discipline Kora before putting a claim on, since idk I guess their values.
Kora is strong and she has been afraid to get her heat granted that she's basically grown up her whole life knowing what that would encompass. So it makes complete sense how she's super headstrong and does NOT want to get stuck bonded to someone.
Unfortunately when she gets the dick, her brain goes out. There are moments where the author did have Kora questioning Turan/wanting to rebel - which was consistent and made Kora interesting. When they have a rift in the relationship too, Kora basically TRIES to talk to Turan, he ignores her back (I guess I get it though since she's been ignoring) but he's also publicly being rude to her too denying her in front of everyone. So he disciplines her when she doesn't do stuff, but she doesn't get to either? There's a point where he does not spank her due to her request which was interesting, but then her thoughts were MISSING him spanking her. ???? I couldn't understand Kora's thinking besides...after she got dick, her brain went out.
There are some missing points as well - such as Kora not talking with Turan about the suppressants enough, etc. I feel some of their banter besides their toxic parts of the relationship were interesting and they had potential to not be such a frustrating couple...however they unfortunately were in the end.
Plot itself and the book is pretty okay to read, not sure if it'd be the most sense without the first book though.
In terms of steam level, I felt compared to the last one - it's lower and there's a lot more anal sex in here that Kora is on board for as her kink. (She does ask for a knot in the back) However at least in the last book besides the characters themselves, the smut was more a constellation.

This story is about Kora and Turan. It is an older hero younger heroine romance. He is a possessive and protective alien who is not known as a manhoe. She is a stubborn virgin. Kor goes into heat for the first time on a ship where he is and then hot sexy times commence. There is no cheating and no sex with OP in this story.
There are plenty of references to spanking in the story as well as actual spanking. While I don't have any objections to spanking being including in romance books as long is not abusive, spanking is not my thing. Unlike with the heroine, reading about spanking doesn't do anything for me. The spanking in this book was not abusive rather as stated, it excited the heroine. However it was made clear in the book summary that the story contained spanking and so it was not like it was a surprise. I can only repeat my words about book #1, they still fit:
Wow, that’s a very good story and an interesting mix of adventure, mafia dark romance with kink and Omegavers - captivating and thrilling and entertaining.
The story flowed perfectly and the characters fitting the mixture and each other.
The big bad boys are sweethearts with their own system of values that sets a different counterweight.

Worse than the first book DNF
I only tried reading this one because I thought the character we were introduced to in the previous volume that is the female lead in this book would have more fight to her and more intelligence, and be less libido driven and demand more respect and tolerate less hypocrisy. Alas, not the case, it's worse. Not only was all that resistance and intelligence smoke and mirrors, her determination to remain independent and to avoid becoming property in order to have any measure of freedom, and h*ll her independence itself lasted about 0.2 seconds. By page 50 she turned into another sex toy or favorite toilet valued only to be used to dump bodily fluids into and get crapped on. Why would I think that you ask. . .
Well, the fact that SHE'S punished after having the skill, competence, intelligence, strength of determination, and courage to save them makes a LIE out of all the gaslighting claims about males respecting, protecting and caring for females that have been spewed previously in both volumes, because SHE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN ANY DANGER AT ALL IF THE MALES WERE IN THE LEAST BIT COMPETENT or intelligent or had humility enough to realize they were at fault. So, in essence she's being punished because the men are too stupid to perform basic tasks on tools they rely upon frequently -- not very manly (or intelligent) in my opinion. Seriously who gets to punish THE MALES for being so stupid they don't do maintenance on the ship that's been in their possession for weeks?
That whole excuse that screw-ups are more serious for men because when males mess up they get killed, is clearly a lie then. The males get to be incompetent, stupid even (I mean who's so stupid they don't realize you have to do maintenance on complex intergalactic vessels or knows that and forgets/fails to order the maintenance to be done if they don't know how themselves), gets to screw up exponentially badly, be as dismissive, self-righteous, and as disrespectful as they want, and what is worse, be LESS COMPETENT and INTELLIGENT than their female counterparts, but only the women get punished -- for not just large, but even minor infractions. The hypocrisy just makes the thought that ANYONE would believe (or tolerate) the notion a male has a RIGHT to hit a woman, and that a grown woman NEEDS to be struck, needs "punishment" to learn anything is more than wrong-headed, especially when the failings, inaction, and stupidity of SEVERAL men are what caused her to be in the situation in the first place.
What is worse is trying to make out like these women enjoy being hit, or would/should TRUST someone so disrespectful and dismissive of their value. I mean it's one thing to portray women enjoying rough sex or liking a little bit of pain, or a little manhandling as foreplay, or liking someone that takes charge if they're indecisive or ready to hand over control for a bit. But this literally portrays women as not being able to learn without being hit and deserving of being struck as punishment for even minor mistakes in judgement, and failing to acknowledge mistakes made by males as if the males never make any, for PERCEIVED disrespect, for stating of opinions in public, or desiring respect, and freedom of choice, or being valued as a person rather than a piece of property, a thing.
Nope, I don't think so; this is internalized misogyny of a scale that is beyond offensive and into grooming, conditioning thought and tolerance of mistreatment and disrespect using FALSE rationale -- an effort at gaslighting irrational, vulnerable, less confident, or easily-influenced females into thinking that they're less than men, that they deserve to get hit for mistakes, for feeling anger, or for even having an opinion in public, and deserve and should in fact welcome and enjoy being pushed around, bullied and disrespected. Anyone who thinks that women need to "obey" because they're lesser, or weaker in any way other than possibly physically, or less capable, or less intelligent (like this series portrays women) simply because they are females, rather than be a PARTNER, rather than expecting and demanding respect and equality for the skills and qualities they bring to any type of relationship, needs to have their heads checked and go see a shrink to combat the troglodytic, cult-like programming they've fallen into. So that's a big N-O, I won't be recommending any book, even a work of fiction, that is so horrifically disrespectful and dismissive of women, that attempts to diminish their intelligence or value and claims they "need" to be hit.

Unexpected HEA
Kora by far is not my favorite Voorian female. She lied about taking suppressants and Turan didn’t bother trying to figure out why he didn’t automatically smell her since they were Fated. She was too much of a brat and he was too soft. A decent read but not decent enough for a second time

Туран Бутарза. Скоро тя се озовава на нова планета заедно с мафиотите от фамилията. Там усещайки, че периодът й на разгонване приближава, тя решава да се изолира на един от космическите кораби, тъй като по време на периода на нужда, ума на Ворианските жени е толкова замъглен, че могат да се окажат обвързани с грешният мъж. А Кора няма никакво намерение да се обвързва с половинка.
Туран бива предаден от мафиотска фамилия с която работи. Арестуван от Империята и на път за своята екзекуция, той бива спасен от своя брат. Когато обаче планетата на която са бива нападната, Туран се разделя с брат си и заедно с други двама члена на фамилията решават да намерят предателя и да го накажат. Това, което Туран не знае, е че Кора се е скрила именно на неговият кораб. Когато обаче я открива, тя е в пикът на разгонването си и с удивление, Туран осъзнава, че тя не просто е генетически съвместима с него, но тя е и неговата Предопределена половинка. Сега му остава само да я убеди да го приеме, докато са на опасна мисия, на която да заловят опасен враг.
Нещо не успя да ме грабне книгата първата беше една идея по-интересна. Макар да харесвам Туран, дори той не успя да направи книгата достатъчно интересна. Кора ми беше леко дразнеща, задето все му беше контра. Но историята не беше достатъчно интересна, че да ме грабне и да ми задържи вниманието. Отне ми доста време да я изчета, като в същото време отметнах няколко други книги. Нямам особено голямо желание да продължавам със следващите 2 книги.

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as abduction, fighting with some to the death, betrayal, murder, punishment, dominance / submission, etc.
This is the second story in the Vostra Crime Lords series. I highly recommend this be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc.
This is a darker storyline than most alien series. It starts in the first story with the boarding of a prison ship to find and release Turan, a made Captain with the Vostra family. During that rescue, most of the crew were killed and a few of them were asked to join the Vostra family. This includes Kora, who was a guard with the Imperial Empire, recognized as the police force of the galaxy.
The storyline is well developed and the characters are what you would expect from the genre. The males in the Vostra are unsuppressed Voorians, a species known for their dominance of their females, especially if they are their Fated Mate. They are quick to use punishment / reward to correct behavior, but are careful to make sure it is within the tolerance of the female. Hard to explain with only a few words, but will make sense if any of the stories are read.
The reason I gave this 4 1/2 stars is because of the grammatical errors, mainly duplicated words, such as “didn’t didn’t” and “because because”. They were more numerous than in the previous story and something that should have been caught by the editor.

I devoured book 1, Fated Mate: Tamed, (I mean, come on! Alien and Mafia?) When I saw Fated Mate: Conquered as a ARC I jumped at the chance to read it. And it did not disappoint!
Conquered was wonderful! It tells the story of Kora and Turan, while continuing the story arc of the so very interesting Vostra. The couple was introduced in Tamed and I was super looking forward to their story. Kudos to the author for staying true to their characters and writing another riveting story in the series.
Kora was a strong h, with a history of making her own decisions and doesn’t embrace the feelings and thoughts that seem to happen when around Turan. While Turan struggled with age -experience- difference at first. When they do get together, fated though they may be, it’s not an instant problem solver. And I loved that! These were such great characters and they deserved -and got- their own adventures.
Conquered was a well written story with a fantastic world and wonderful characters. There’s adventure, intrigue, steam and downright heat. I recommend! And I personally feel you could read this as a stand alone. However, reading about Kora and Turan in book 1 was a wonderful tease for me -and such a good book- I’m very glad I read them in order.

My first book by Luna Voss and I'll be back for more this is a Sci-fi romance following Turan and Koras story.Turan having being rescued from the prison ship and helped to recover by ex prison guard Kora whose been accepted into the Butarza family, he realises his protective feelings also hide something more. Kora is still settling into the Butarza way of life one thing she tries to avoid is their punishment but when she breaks the rules Turan is the one to dish it out via spanking. But when Kora is facing her first heat she hides away on the Epeshi pirate ship, the Butarza family come under fire from the Gordulla family forcing them to flee Doros. With Turan, Geddion and Rojan taking the Epeshi ship they are surprised to learn that Koras onboard, even more so that shes in heat and not having any surpressents Turan starts to smell her as his fated mate. But with a dangerous mission ahead will they be able to make it through together with their radical change in their relationship. Well written with, suspense, action, twists, desire and out of this world hot scenes!

Though a standalone, these two characters were introduced in the previous book in the series. Things between Kora and Turan always seemed to be in a push-and-pull kinda way. Where she would push him until he would want to pull her over his lap for a spanking (if you catch my drift😜 ).
I wouldn't wait for a story about them especially with how things were left between them at the end of the last book. The good thing (bad, up to you) is that book gives the background from when Kora is taking care of Turan up to her ill-fated decision to wait out her heat cycle in spaceship that Turan and two other unmated alphas are going to be in - yikes!!
I loved this book as much as I loved the first one. Kora may have been a little bit more of a harder nut to crack but it was still a sweet love story in the end. The growly alphas. The author really does do a great job with developing the characters and the the world-building is very descriptive. I really hope there is more to come.

This is the second book in the fated mates series. Kora has been suppressed all her life. When she is taken by the Vostra, she stops taking the suppressants, but is still taking the pill that stops her scent for her fated mate. When she goes into heat, she goes to the pirate ship to be in seclusion. Unfortunately, there needs to be a quick escape from the world they are on and she is taken on the ship with Toran. Toran realizes that she is his fated mate and claims her. But that doesn't mean they don't need to communicate. There are misunderstandings on both sides until they finally have a frank discussion. I enjoyed reading about Toran and Kora. They had chemistry, but just like any new couple, there are going to be problems. They have their HEA and we see who the next couple is going to be.

Great world building, wonderful characters, excellent storyline
I love this! Maybe even more than the first book. Aspen was in a different set of circumstances than Kora, so she had a different response to becoming a vulta. She also had spent a large part of her life hiding who she was. Kora was Voorian without a doubt but had not grown up in the traditional Vostra lifestyle. That combined with her headstrong, spirited, independent nature made for an interesting adjustment. I really love how it’s not about subjugating or demeaning women, but protecting them. Consent and respect and trust are mandatory. Kora and Turan had to learn each other. I love them both as characters and I’m thrilled with how their love developed and how they got to their well deserved happily ever after.

TW: domestic discipline. From an enjoyment perspective, I love this. There was a lot of talk about trust, and the moment the heroine said no, that was it. It was really interesting to see that dynamic and what goes into a relationship like that. I couldn’t give it a higher rating primarily because there wasn’t a lot of character development. I got the feeling that the characters were well thought out but I didn’t actually see it, and didn’t feel like I knew the male at all. It also did barely any explanation of the alien species in this book. I read the first book a while back and would have been confused if I was picking up this book without reading the first one, so I’d recommend you pick up the first book first if you’re into this kind of thing.

This was an exciting story. Loved the storyline and the characters were great. This is about Kora and Turan. Turan is a very protective, and possessive alpha alien. Kora is an ex prison guard and also a Voorian omega. After Turan finds her on his ship he claims her for his own. There is action, twists and turns, drama, intrigue, organized crime, fated mates, threats, conflicts, discipline, spankings, Omega's going into heat, very steamy and a super great conclusion. Holy moly! Is it hot in here?!
This is the second book in the Fated Mate Conquered series and though you could potentially read it as a stand alone, I would personally suggest you start the series from the beginning to get a bit of a better idea how the culture in the book works. Kora is independent and strong which is so refreshing in a series like this. Turan is respectful to a fault. Truly enjoyed reading this book. The author does and amazing job building up the tension between the two characters, making this book a definite page turner and one I would recommend to anyone who really likes this genre.

I loved it. Gotta admit, I really didn't think this dynamic would work, but it does. Kora and Turin's characters are well written and developed. The storyline moves along at a fast pace. The conflict between Lots and Turin is touching and in the course of their mission against the rival family they must overcome miscommunication and misunderstandings to make their relationship work. Lots is new to this life and struggles to fit in with her new role. Complex, a great read.

This wonderfully writtenDark Sci-Fi Romance was interesting as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced, good scifi romance book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am will be on the lookout for books by this author

It was okay
I was kind of disappointed but over all it was a decent read it sucked that the first I think 7 chapters were basically a repeat of what we read in the first book where Kora and the other girl get busted for breaking the rules and Turan spanks Kora for the first time. Then the rest is from their POV how the story went from that point on and really I was frustrated by that because I really didn't need to read that part. I ended up skimming over the majority of it but the rest was just okay so I would say check it out for yourself

Great read
This book p I credit up right where books let off. TURAN has a mission to kidnap their enemies son. Kora is on the ship he sets out in without his knowledge and she is in heat. He had felt drawn to her b4 but she has stopped taking the suppressants masking her sent and now Turan knows exactly why he's felt this way. His Fated Mate. They dont know each other that well. Now their whole relationship will be permanently altered and the mission has barely started. DanaLynn

It appears that Kora is more the rebellious kind but Turan enjoyed educating her and eventually conquered his mate.
They had a lot of getting to know yous but doing it while you are on a stake out is a different thing. It puts danger on things but with a Butarza as a mate, the degree of danger is much higher.

I loved the first book with Draga and Aspen but this one reeled me in even more. Kora is tough, smart and an enjoyable character and the chemistry between her and Turan is a roller coaster. I would recommend if you love spicy scenes, solid characters and relationship building, can’t wait for the next installment.

Good read in this series
Turin is a fair mate and in his discipline. It surprised me to read that he actually took Kora’s, his mate, feelings into account. This book is strongly focused on relationship building with peripheral Mafia situations. It was a welcomed change. Kora is one strong willed woman so there is a lot of discipline— fair warning if this bothers you. It’s a good story and relationship building between the two lead characters. Read On!

Sassy gets a lovely spanking
If I was not use to different kind of books , I believe I would hate the storyline for the female character, but instead I found myself laughing at the the protagonist antics and her sass. I hated the thought of the old ways of punishment. But sometimes these ladies deserve a fun , sexy spanking , not the hard kind. It’s a culture the author developed as BDSM. Hence the 4 ⭐️. This series is of the chart with extreme naughty bits to melt one’s butter. Loved the 1st book as well 💕. I hope you all read the whole series as I will.

Wow another fantastic exciting thrilling read I thought. Just as good as the first book but this is koras story and turan. She hides away when her heats start unknown to her they got attacked and they use the ship she is on to flee. He tries to hold back and not mate her, but some things are meant to be. I thought this book had lots of enjoyable characters and chemistry and a super storyline

This is the second book in this sci-fi series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Turan first met Kora when she was his guard in prison, but now he is in charge and he plans on making her his. This is a fast-paced read with intense chemistry, lots of drama, steam and action. Entertaining story and hot. I liked it.
