She hates that the fate of her magic relies on whether or not she finds true love.Determined to avoid falling in love again - at all costs - Drake Evans rolls into town looking for work. Anything to take his mind off his previous relationship. Coming from a big ranch in Montana, he can wrangle with the best of them, and he heard the Wild Saddle was hiring.Something in the man's haunting gaze pushes Candy to make it her personal goal to see Drake smile. But will helping him find happiness lose her everything she holds dear before he accepts her heart?
M.R. Polish has been writing since she was a young girl. She would tell her stories to anyone who would listen until she discovered she could put them onto paper.
Out on the ocean is her favorite place to be and would live on a cruise ship if she could, traveling the world, but alas, adulting and responsibilities keep her grounded.
M.R. is happily married to someone who would gladly follow her onto a ship and sail away. They have four kids, who might be more adventurous jet-setters than their mother.
Really loved this book. Getting to know Candy a little more and her finding a man. Went a little faster then the first book would have liked to know more about Drake and what happened with him. I really enjoyed reading how Candy and Drake fell for each other though. Always trying to hide it and push it off until they come to the conclusion they needed to come clean. I am looking forward to reading what else happens. I have loved all these characters so far. The coven of girls bonding and slowly finding there matches. It is going to be fun when all is said and done.
A lovely novella with cowboys and witches, you can't go wrong. It's beautifully written, and was a pleasure to read. I just wish it was a novel rather than a novella because I didn't want the book to end.
Loved this novella! The first in the series was so awesome and I thought the second was even better. Poor Candy & this dreaded curse! Personally, I think the real curse is having someone talk to you from your sink water, but what do I know?
This was a great book. I really liked the first one so I had to read this one as well. I was so happy to get to read Candy's story, and it is awesome that Alice and Rese were a part of the book. I can't wait to read the books about the other girls in the coven.
I will start by saying that I just love M R Polish and the way she writes!!!! Next, if you have NOT read Saddles and Spells - please be sure to read it before Chaps and Cauldrons - it will help you realize just where the story has been and where it is continuing to go.
After generations of witches in her family succumbing to the Legend of the Lonely Witch, aka the Curse, Candy is in fear of loosing her magic if she doesn't fall in love soon. Drake (a sexy cowboy) is new to town and because of a past relationship, is not ready to step into another relationship. I don't write spoilers, so let me stop there and say this: YOU HAVE TO READ THIS SERIES!!!
I was a given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review .
This was a fun adorable read, the plot was very exciting and different from the first book which is admirable. The drama unfolding was fantastic I was so wrapped up into all the secrets that were being unfolded and having good flow so the reader doesn't feel as if everything is being rushed. Characters were great their personalities so different from one another, the female lead was adorable always having an upbeat attitude under certain circumstances never letting anything drag her down. The male lead was an ample alpha, who despite the troubles he went through wasn't afraid to leap back into life. Supporting characters are always fun and entertaining. I really appreciate and enjoy the different character points of views it's gives a more personal experience when ready.
I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the first. It was almost like a fairey tale story. Candy with a family curse must find love before it's too late and looses her magic, and Drake looking for work after his bad brake up walks into Candy's town, a town where whitches live, fate will put these two on each others path, the question is will love happen for the two of them, and will they get their HEA. A sweet and well paced read, love the cowboy and witch theme, it has its humor which made it all the more enjoyable to read. I recommend this book to all paranormal lover's.
I was given an advanced copy for an un-bias review.
I was a given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the author . Candy is a bakery owning witch with a curse hanging over her head if she doesn't fall in love soon she will lose her magic . Drake is a sexy cowboy new to town who has been burned before and is very wary when it comes to women. The last one he was with turned out to be married , cost him his job and horse .I really enjoyed this story the characters were very relatable ,we've all been nervous and awkward with someone .My only complaint is that I want more more more lol .I look forward to reading more of this series .If you are looking for a light hearted paranormal read snag this one you wont be sorry
You first meet Candy in Saddles & Spells where she is best friends with Reese who’s clan is cursed to lose their magic if they don’t find true love. Candy is the town baker and on occasion will add a little something extra to her baked goods J One day a hired hand on Reese’s farm catches Candy’s eye and she finds herself falling for him.
I have been a huge fan of M.R. Polish for a few years now and this series has not disappointed me yet. You have love, magic, and humor all mixed together. I found myself laughing at some of the mishaps and cheering on Candy to get her man J Pick this book up today, you will not be disappointed if you do!
The covens magic is retuning to the land, to break the curse each witch must fall in love and have the true love returned. What an amazing Novella! I couldn't put it down. The next sassy witch falls for Drake, a cowboy who has a history of hurt and lies, all at the hand of a beautiful woman. Can he forget the pain of his past to indulge in the sweet Candy, and break the curse before its to late? Her magic is fading fast will Drake be turn out to be her true love, or will his past come back to claim him?
This is the second book in this series. Candy is having witch problems from a curse placed on her family line. She must find true love before it's to late. Drake just had a bad breakup and lost his job when he comes to town looking for a employment. Will these two find love, even when they aren't looking? Love seeing more of Liv and Reece in this story. If you are looking for a great quick paranormal about witches, this is the one for a must read and you wont regret it either.
Well if this isn't the sweetest love story I've read so far! I absolutely adored it. Maybe it's because I have such a sweet tooth but Candy is my favorite character. I love this girls spunk and omg Drake .... Well you just have to read this story. Magic works wonders and when you throw love in the mix....you've got a really good book.
Candy another member of the coven and Alice's best friend is the owner of the bakery and starting to feel the curse. Drake is the new cowboy who Reese has hired to work on the ranch. Who also left his old ranch after a woman messed him up. So is not on the look out for a new woman. I enjoyed this book I think Miranda popping in the mirror or water everything one the girls need sher is funny. Alice helping Candy make up fake car problems to get Drake to help but Jace nearly ruins that and then Lisa turning up saying that harsh stuff to Candy. Oh Lisa is the woman who screwed Drake over. Oh the fun in this book.
Wonderful story about witches trying to find true love and keep their magic alive in Nevada. Witches, magic, and cowboys, what a delightful combination.
