Waking up married to one of the hottest rock stars in the world is just the beginning of my problems.
How did this happen?
I’m still trying to figure that out myself... Before I can piece this thing together I’m suddenly tabloid news.
Apparently I staged the marriage arrangement to get some quick cash to take care of my dying grandmother. Hey, it’s a hell of an idea but totally not mine. I’ve got cameras in my face and I need a savior. The last person I expect to see is my new husband.
Not only does he get the attention off me he also says the marriage was both our ideas and totally legit... That, no, there is no money involved and there is no divorce involved either.
Uh, what?
He takes my hand, kisses me, and whispers that I owe him... And that he now owns me.
I guess there are worse things than being at the command of a man that a million women want to sleep with...
Trust me, I’m about to find out how wild and crazy and worse this mistake of a marriage can get.
Once again Jaxson has done it, taken us inside a rock band and thier members who are one by one finding love and leaving the wild lifestyle behind. This starts with a drunken wedding in Vegas and the saying what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas doesn't apply here. We follow Wren and Jay (swoon) find thier way and fall in love. I absolutely love her Grams, she reminds me so much of my own. This book is well worth the read and it f you haven't started from the beginning you should with Nash's story as some backstory is weaved through all 4 books so far. I'd give this a million stars if I could!!
Wren goes to Vegas to see her friend married, leaving behind her sick grandmother. She feels that life is passing her by and is jealous that she's the last single person in her group. A few drinks later and she's screaming at a security guard. Jay has heard the commotion and is intrigued. What happens when the drinking starts in earnest? What happens when they wake up married? What happens when real life intrudes? Can they turn this mistake into forever? Can Wren let go and enjoy the man she's met? Jaxson gave us yet another amazing book that was too addictive to put down. With a guy who is alpha enough to recognise his soul mate.
This actually wasn't that bad. I would say its a relatively standard book of its tropes (Vegas-wedding, one-person-is-famous).
I loved the plot line with h's grandmother was really well done and it added a layer of complexity to the story/characters. I especially loved how H interacted with h's grandmother too.
Having not read the other books, I can say this is a complete standalone while there are plot points that have been carried over I don't think this hinders the reading experience. I definitely felt like this was it's own story which I really appreciated.
I would say the writing was good. Both H and h have some form of character development especially H. Even though H isn't immature, I felt in this book his desire to be more mature for h.
Overall, I probably wouldn't reread this book but I would definitely read other books in this series if I happened to come across them again or other books by this author.
Up until this book, Filthy Enemy (Reed) was my absolute favourite. Filthy Marriage has well and truly surpassed it. Jaxson definitely outdid himself with this book, which had everything, laughter, tears, heartbreak, and all the swooning feels. Absolutely loved Jay, seeing the softer side of our rock stars was a nice change. Loved Wren, her strength and determination, and absolutely loved Grams. The interaction between Grams and Jay was beautiful. Great book, enjoyed it immensely, I’m going to use a word I hate, but I literally inhaled the pages. Another brilliantly written book by Jaxson Kidman ❤️
At the same time Wren and her besties are headed for Vegas, FILTHY LINE is on their way there to do a show. But first, Wren had a few loose ends to tie up at the office and FILTHY LINE had an unwanted guest, at Jay's beach house, to deal with. Yeah Mitchy was back and none of the guys were happy about it. Wren's friends were moving on, living their lives, while she was taking care of her grams and building her career in corporate law. Grams wouldn't be around forever and her career, even her dream job, wouldn't keep her warm at night. Wren was lonely. Alone. All it would take was a filthy rock star, who plays guitar and goes by the name of Jay, to fix Wren's problem. Too much whiskey and too much Jay, that was Wren's problem when she woke up alone, well that, and the wedding ring on her finger. NO MATTER HOW MANY PAGES IN A JAXSON KIDMAN BOOK, THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO FLY BY WHEN YOU READ THEM AND LEAVE YOU WANTING MORE ! THIS WAS NO EXCEPTION. FILTHY LINE guitar god Jay is a total manwhore, but he's also kind, caring and falling for his wife. I don't know how Jaxson pulled this off, but he did and it was EVERYTHING ! THIS SERIES IS THE BEST ROCK STAR SERIES HANDS DOWN ! ! ! AND AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ ! ! !
Wow, I knew that this book would be super hot and Jaxson didn't fail to show me how hot it was! After all, what could be worse than waking up married to a rock star after a crazy night right? What if he wanted to stay married? Could Wren do such a thing? What would happen and how would her life change? I won't tell you, but trust me, you want to get yourself a copy for this smoking hot romance and fall in love too!
Well, I've read the "waking up in Vegas married to a rock star" before. I really liked this one.it seems the rock stars are growing up (still jaded) and settling down. It seems a little shocking to Wren but Jay is pretty much into the idea. We don't get his POV, only his actions and they are pretty romantic for a rockstar who has four topless women at his back yard pool.
You'll enjoy this story. I can't wait for Seb"s story soon!!
Out of all the guys I seriously thought Jay’s story would be the one to pissed me the most!!!
We have seen him on the previous stories of this series and I had considered him to be the biggest jeRk of them all!! BUT NOT THE CASE AT ALL!! In fact, I believe he’s the one with the biggest heart!!!
And Wren? She definitely needed Jay. Love the relationship she has with her friends but most of all, her relationship with her Grams.
Jay & wren story was intriguing and intense from the very beginning to the end in the best way possible. Their story takes you on a wild ride just like all Jaxson books do. The emotions are so raw and realistic.
I loved this book starting reading today and couldn't put it down until I finished it, always loved Jay, but you see a whole new side to him and I am in love such a brilliant story
Ok I love this series so when I saw a new one was out I re-read my favorite scenes from the other three. Luv and Nash are my favorite but there all funny and good. This book didn’t hit the mark. Too much time spent on back story, not enough hot sex, and I hated that they got divorced. I kept waiting for her corporate law experience to come in and save the day but it didn’t happen. I liked the idea of the wishy washy woman turning into a power house and being all sexy and possessive of Jay but no. This was the worst so far. Bummer
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I have never read this author before but like to try new ones all the time. This book was well rated so I jumped into this series in this book, and maybe this was the problem. But the characters were unlikable, the writing was choppy, the story had no flow and the characters were Jeckyl and Hyde like. Doing one thing and then the next chapter something completely out of character with very poor justification. No depth to the characters or the story. All in all should have been a DNF but plowed through and regret it.
This is Jay’s story—the fourth book of this author’s FILTHY LINE series. Jay loves his fans, the strippers, and the whores. He beds them not knowing or caring about their names, because this way, there are no feelings, no doubts, no worries. And just to prove this point, the author opens the book with Jay having sex with a stripper. Jay does not categorize women; in fact he often goes to bat for the stripper/whore when others berate them. He admits to his basic needs: shelter, food, water, drugs and women. He is happy with his choices in life.
After a show in Las Vegas, Jay meets Wren who is in Vegas for a friend’s wedding. She is arguing with a security guard and Jay is intrigued with her feistiness. He invites her for one drink which turns into a number because she gets drunk and the next thing she know she wakes up in an empty hotel room with a note thanking her for the night and telling her that she is now married to Jay. All of a sudden she is big news. The tabloids say she married for money to help her ill grandmother. She is in turmoil. Jay comes to her rescue and tells the reporters that the marriage is real. How did this happen? Does Jay mean what he says? You will have to read the book to find out!
I loved this story as I did the other three. Jaxson Kidman is an amazing and prolific writer. He is an expressive wordsmith who uses magical words to weave a story that is charming and appealing. The dialogue between his characters is clever, sassy and sometimes comical. His description of his characters is true and honest and very colourful. How he describes Jay’s first vision of Wren is beautiful yet provocative. He pays attention to the smallest of detail and that is very important to the reader. We see what he writes! I especially liked the glib banter when Jay first confronts Wren. And Jay is smart. He is able to read Wren and knows when to throw the FILTHY LINE out and reel her in.
All the characters from the previous books play a part: Nash, Reed, Dex, their ladies, Toby: individuals whom we have come to know and love. Also Sab’s relationship with whoever is on the other end of that cell phone is featured. But . . . that’s another story!
Oh wow this book was totally not what I was expecting, that’s for sure. What I was expecting from Jay isn’t exactly what I saw/got, which is definitely a good thing. Sure he had a few moments here and there that I wasn’t surprised by. But most of what I did see of him was definitely surprising. Just goes to show looks can be deceiving and never judge a book by its cover. I truly enjoyed reading Jay and Wren’s story. Watching them grow together and learn about each other. It was like watching a friendship grow to love, but in the opposite way since they got married first. I also loved that there was more than meets the eye when it came to Jay. The interactions between him and Grams totally had my heart melting. Holy hell it was too cute, sweet and adorable. I could not get enough.
As for Wren I loved her and her close relationship with Grams. It beautiful, cute, sweet and loving to read about their moments together. One thing for sure Grams totally stole the show for me. She had me laughing from the get go with the things she would say/come up with to Wren. Her personality was just amazing, considering what she was going through.
A lot of surprise, the main being Mitchy and finally getting to know his story, which I had been waiting for since A Filthy Rockstar aka Nash’s story!
Definitely a lot of emotions and close to tears moments, but definitely worth it in the end. Another amazing MUST READ book from Jaxson’s Filthy Line series! Most definitely recommend, especially if you have already read the previous books!
Jay and Wren were my favourite instalment of the series.
I didn’t expect to like this book. I didn’t enjoy Reed’s story so when I read that this book will be about an impulse wedding, I wasn’t sure it would have enough substance. I am so thankful I was wrong, but even moreso that I didn’t skip this book. From the start it was clear that Wren will be a worthwhile character to read about.
Jay was more mature than in previous books. This was by far the least debauch book in the series. If one compares it to Nash, Dex and Reed then Jax was a saint. I honestly liked the change of pace to slower, more grown up. But I hope the books don’t tame down too much as we still want to escape to some crazy rockstar world, where we get to tame the wild neaderthal that the world’s other women couldn’t tame. (I’m a cave women in my DNA.)
Of course there is still some wild behaviour so fear not. Jax is still a rockstar.
I liked that Wren was smarter, wiser and far from stereotypical leading lady. But it was Grams that stole the golden moments. She was fantastic!
I was in two minds about my rating for this book. I loved 95% of it, but didn’t like the last chapter (before the epilogue). The ending felt rushed and unresolved. I ended up giving it a rounded up 5 stars.
Jay what is there to say he lives his life like only a Rockstar knows how to live, Drugs, booze, line whores and music, then repeat. He has no care in the world and no one to answer to all he wants is a bit of fun. Then there’s Wren, a lawyer who looks after her sassy and funny as hell dying grandmother. When one of Wrens friends announces she’s getting married in Vegas and wants Wren there, that is when Jay and Wrens life change , Jay is at an event he has to attend with the band, what’s the saying what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, well if life was only that simple. There is just something about Jay that you can’t help but fall in love with him, I would say he’s met his match in Wren, I was hooked from beginning to end . Jaxson Kidman is one of my favourite authors and never disappoints each book he writes gets better and better. Looking forward to Sabs story next
I was very cautious starting this book. Jay seemed to be the filthiest of the group, and I was worried how it was all gonna go. I was mainly worried (LOL) that he’d get some girl fall in love with him, then he’d sleep around. I was wrong though, no cheating in sight. He did give her hell though, and tested her at every corner. Their story felt like it had a little more emotion in it. They are two strangers who meet in Vegas, get drunk and decide to get married. Then, they end up deciding to stay married and test the waters, mainly due to her personal life, but he goes along with it, and happily so. Jay ended up being my favorite of the group (although I still have Sab to go through). He had such a good heart that he hid behind his chaotic persona. There was also more closure stemming from the whole mystery of who Mitchy was, why he was not with the band anymore, and why everyone hated him so much.
This story is half-baked at best, or maybe too short. It lacks a balance between the main characters. She's too serious, educated and typical nine-to-five working citizen with a weird attachment to her dying grandmother. He's a crazy rockstar fuckboy who is a stripper/hooker enthusiast and doesn't believe in relationships with complete absence of any kind of personal background (childhood, family, education) at least we don't get to know about it. They are a bad match at least. Then they share a night of craziness and get married in Vegas.... and that's fine.... but then they fall in love within next 50 pages of the book... how is that possible? She's maybe all-natural and curvy but seriously how unique and irresistible can she appear to a guy who goes through women like butter? And amount of serious dialogue they share can persuade us more of their incompatibility than the opposite. This whole thing is just inconvincible.
I have really loved the Filthy Line books and Nash has been my absolute favorite until Jay. This man is absolutely great, sexy and funny. My daughter kept asking from the other room, “mom what’s so funny?!” I couldn’t even answer her. Wren was just as crazy but she had lost that spark with caring for her dying grams and her job as an attorney. This is until she met Jay one crazy night in Vegas. These two together was magical and I couldn’t stop reading. My only complaint about this book is that it was too short. I wanted more!! I can’t wait to read about Sab. I highly recommend the entire Filthy Line Series and this one will not disappoint. Kudos to Jaxson Kidman this book was awesome.
I don't read a lot of rock star romance, I find them tacky and shallow most of the time. I downloaded this one on a whim and when I started I thought o boy here we go again but boy was I wrong. These bad boy rockers are not only sexy and sweet but totally loveable. Make no mistake there are still the Rockstar vibe, the stripers, booze and some drugs but this is no ordinary group of rockers. They take what they want and makes no excuse, loving, sexy and loyal to a fault. If you like all that, this is the book for you
This book is a whirlwind of emotions from the start to the end. I think this may be my new favourite book from Jaxson ? The filthy lines guys stories have all been great, but this one just has something more and I couldn't put it down. As ever Jaxson has you gripped from the get go. Not sure what exactly it is about Wren and Jay but I could have kept reading their story for longer. Congratulations on another BRILLIANT release Jaxson Kidman, defo a must for every TBR list⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💚
A FILTHY MARRIAGE (Filthy Line Book 4) by Jaxson Kidman This is my favorite of the Filthy Line books. Jay is a real sweetheart. With the Vegas wedding of her last single friend, Wren is depressed. Her grandmother is drying of cancer, everything is coming down on top of her. Too much to drink, a fight with a security guard, accidentally meeting Jay and her life changes drastically. With witty banter, passionate hot smoking chemistry, tears, laughter and you have a very entertaining tale. This is a 5 star read.
I enjoyed jay and Wren’s story story with lots of questionable decisions. I felt like it was over too quickly though. Their story had a lot going on that Kidman buzzed through too fast. Jay is always the bad boy rocker and when he slips away from the band’s commitment, he finds a feisty woman tearing into a huge body guard. This scenario goes from bad to worse in a hurry. I enjoyed the story a lot but would have liked Wren’s back story. CE
Jay likes to party and he's in Vegas for a show and business. He's goes to outside the bar and heard lady going off on the security guard. He goes out and see Wren and tells the guard she with him.
Wren takes care of her sick grandma who is a badass. Grandma tells her she has to live. Watch Wren and Jay comes to life.
Jaxson Kidman has brought us another great read. This is Jay and Wren’s story and what a story it is. Jay’s heart knows what it wants and it is Wren. It will have you cheering for Jay. I highly recommend this book and any other book by Jaxson. Can’t wait to see what he brings us next. Great Job Jaxson
At first glance you think you read one rockstar you read them all, but not this one and not Filthy Line. It’s like getting a behind the scene view of the stuff that really happens. A great read and Jay and Wren story to get to their HEA will pull you in all the way to the very last page.
I liked this book. Jay was a big baby in a way, never taking seriuosly until Wren walked into his life. She was the breath of fresh air he needed. At the end, I was really mad at her for treating him the way she did, he didn't deserve that. I also understand that she was going through some serious emotional pain but still
What could possibly go wrong... A drunken Vegas marriage to a sexy rockstar. The possibilities are endless. Jay & Wren are about to find out. Jaxson has done it once again with this filthy series.
