The book provides useful overview buck lacks depth. For example, only 4 pages are dedicated to PAW and AD Red Forest topologies, a subject worth a full book. Probably, half of the content is related to Azure AD and cloud security tools from Microsoft.
Most if not all of the info found in the book is available directly from Microsoft. As a result, the books mostly serves as a collection of links to various pages at microsoft.com.
It still cloud be a good overview if you are just starting securing a Windows infrastructure.
Solid guide book on hardening Windows, Windows Server, Azure, and general information on hardening in the context of the workplace.
The title may be a bit misleading as it does not specify that the focus is around the workplace environment where you manage multiple computers and infrastructure. This book does not pertain to hardening your personal computer at home, although technically you could implement some of the suggested steps for yourself.
But I now have to work through the next edition of this book and integrate the differences. We are moving to Win 11 and from Server 2016 to, I hope Server 2025.
