Das war eine ganz süße Geschichte; ich mochte den Schreibstil. Leider ist es ja nur eine Kurzgeschichte, und das Ende kam sehr abrupt. Es macht auf jeden Fall neugierig auf weitere Bücher der Autorin bzw. auf "Bis es weg ist", in dem die "eigentliche" Geschichte von Layla und Thao erzählt wird. Hier in dieser Kurzgeschichte erfahren wir eigentlich nur, wie die beiden sich kennengelernt haben.

This little book was a cute and fast book to read. It's a nice multi cultural story of a budding romance between a man and a woman who love plants. I just wish there were maybe a page or 2 more. It just stops when asked her out and she accepts. I would love to read more on Thao and Layla. Can't wait!!

I absolutely loved this prequel! I’m excited to read the rest of Lola and Thao’s story in the next book! Though it was a quick read, it left me anxious for the rest of the story. I just know it is going to be one for the books! You must read, you will not regret it!

He never had a problem with getting girls. As the high school quarterback, they were always throwing themselves at him. Now as a landscaper with a bum knee things seem different. When he meets her he is tongue tied. Asking a girl out shouldn’t be this hard.

This is a sweet contemporary romantic short story about meeting someone special. The main character is personable and you want him to be able to succeed. The narrative is what makes this story interesting as it reveals his thoughts, doubts and fears, something all of us can relate to. It is well written and lighthearted. Keep in mind this is just the beginning of their story as there will be a follow up book. I can hardly wait for it.

An adorable short about a sweet beguin. I liked the scenary painted in Layla's shop and how enchanted Thao was with it and the small details about her. It was a nice introduction to their universe and their meetings.

Mir hat diese Geschichte sehr gut gefallen. Etwas kurz eben. Aber das liegt in der Natur einer Kurzgeschichte. Sie hat mich sehr schnell für sich eingenommen. Die Darstellung wirkt sehr präzise und erzielt mit wenigen Worten Wirkung. Sie wirkt authentisch und überzeugend und man versteht, dass Thao von Layla bezaubert ist; aber auch seine Zweifel. Eigentlich wurde recht viel in die kurze Story gepackt. Es geht auch um Thaos familiären Hintergrund und sein bisheriges Leben. Das passt aber alles sehr gut zusammen. Ich habe dann gelesen, dass die Autorin gerne Geschichten aus verschiedenen Perspektiven schreibt oder Geschichten von Nebenfiguren weitererzählt. Und man kann sehr gut glauben, dass diese Kurzgeschichte der Auftakt zu etwas Umfangreicheren ist. Allerdings hatte ich nicht das Gefühl, dass ich einen Köder schlucken sollte. Und man kann die Geschichte auch als in sich abgeschlossen sehen. Von mir bekommt dieser Text 5 Sterne.

Eine Kurzgeschichte die ihren Namen verdient hat. Kaum hat man die Geschichte begonnen, ist sie schon beendet. Eine schöne kleine Geschichte über Gefühle und Missverständnisse. Das Ende ist offen und man kann sich auf eine evtl. Fortsetzung freuen.

Das Cover, gefällt mir nicht so gut. Es passt eigentlich nicht zum Inhalt der Kurzgeschichte. Der Schreibstil ist angenehm zum Lesen. Lesezeit 10-15min.

Gerne vergebe ich 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐für die schöne Kurzgeschichte.

I liked this sweet romance between thao and Layla and thao used to play football he was the quarterback before he got injured and layla owns a herb and spice shop and I like that they both have a green thumb and thao talks about his family and his parents past and heritage and I like that thao is close with his sister Sarah and this was a quick sweet short story and thao is working with a company Im assuming landscaping a famous single garden and that how thao meets Layla at her store.
