Cleverly-imaginative! Great, multi-faceted characters. Very interesting plot. Vivid descriptions. Kept me intrigued from the first page to the last. Simply a GREAT read!

I was enjoying this book until it ended on a HUGE cliff hanger. The book is only like 60 pages and it costs $2 to purchase the next installment. Not Cool.
This is a great series starter. We meet Jake, a professor of paranormal studies at the university. A student shows him an article about a mystical (or paranormal?) happening in Brazil. People have been disappearing and the government is hiding it. Luckily, Jake's old professor and mentor lives there. We are introduced to some of Jake's students in this first book. Ayesha is one of the keener students. She is from Brazil and had an experience in the past that she doesn't talk about. At the end of this book, Jake is off to Brazil to find the truth. This is what he lives for. Read the book to see what happens. I can't wait for the next installment!

Interesting storyline and characters which I thoroughly enjoyed, though it is part one of a fairly short story and I was so disappointed when I reached the end to see the words - To be continued

This book was rambling and disjointed. I ended reading it without a clue about the intended mystery. I have no desire to read the next one in the series.
