Defy you is a standalone but I absolutely love this series and the characters are in it from the other books.

Kas is in trouble but that doesn’t mean she wants help. She’s paying a debt to the wrong kind of people. When Spike finds her working in a strip club all hell brakes out. He literally drags her out of there. All he wants to do is her but Kas will Defy him at every step.

This is another fiery romance like the others in the series. The guys from the tattoo parlour are embedded into the story and Kas is related to Zach from book one.

This book is about trying to do the right this but love will not be ignored.

Defy you is great. If you like a strong female lead with a alpha male this is the book for you. It has a gritty story, with heated scenes and a happy ever after.

I love everything about this book and series.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I also own the paperbacks for this series and this one will be added to my collection.

Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Defy You is my favorite in Rebel ink Series. Each book is better than the last one. Tracy Lorraine killed it. I absolutely love Spike and Kas and are now my favorites in the series. This an age gap, forbidden, with a side of dark romance and is hot as hell. So steamy.

Kas, Is Zach half-sister, who has had a hard life growing up, which has made her very mature for her age. She is a spitfire, trouble, takes nothing from no one, and the guys underestimate her. You can’t help but fall in love with her and be in awe of how she handles everything.

Spike, with a string of one nightstand, that has a big soft spot for his friends and puts their needs ahead of his own. Also, Zach's best friend. He is far from looking for a serious relationship.

Kas owes a debt that is not hers and is forced to Strip at Pulse to earn money. Spike see Kas on stage and pulls her off, and all hell starts to break loose from that put on. Kas defies Spike at every turn and pushes Spike to his limit. Both have secrets that have put up walls around them.

Then I suggest you do as you’re told. You’ve got five minutes. Do not test me, Tiny.” “That’s the thing though, Spike. Testing you is my new favourite hobby.”

Spike struggles with his attraction to Kas, as she is off-limits, and I have to say he does a good job. Kas is determined to the break him.

Well, let me tell you that he’ll likely scoop my eyes out with a fork if he was aware I even knew what colour underwear you owned, let alone what you look like wearing it,” he says, turning around and returning to what he was doing when I walked in.

The push/pull between the two was like nothing I have read before. So much angst and action; at times, I was on edge. The chemistry with the two is freaking hot. Panty melting. Some of the authors best sex scenes. I loved every moment and word of their story, and I couldn’t get enough. Devy me is my favorite from this author, and I look forward to her future books.

I received an Arc in exchange for my honest review.

Not what I expected from Miss Lorraine. Defy You is more easy read. There is that forbidden romance: best friend' sister, age gap. I was expecting so much angst/ drama. But it turnes out to be min angst/ drama.

The chemistry is also forced. There is not much vulnerable/ tender moment. Overall this is OK read.

Before the Rebel Ink series and I crossed paths, I hadn’t read a single book by this author. Now, now I’m just a stalker and an addict. MY GAWD. These books were brilliant! ALL THREE! Okay, but you want to hear about Defy You so let’s not digress…

Kas is sassy! Can I get that on a t-shirt please? I wanna be that chic when I grow up! MAN, it was great to read her! She was perfectly matched with Spike and so was their story. Full on spark from the get-go! The push/pull and love/hate tug of war was expertly done! I was on edge at all times. The story was electric and edgy and super sexy and delicious.

I like this author’s style. A lot. The men are in control but so are the women. She writes alpha ladies and gents and I for one am loving my ride with her!

I wasn’t really feeling this one. I was also irritated at everyone tiptoeing around her brother who’d decreed his friend couldn’t shag his sister; everyone’s an adult and she’s only known her brother for a few weeks so it just had me rolling my eyes. Meh I think sums it up for me.

4.5 stars - Spike has been drawn to Kassie since the moment he laid eyes on her. The book starts with sparks flying and tempers raging. It's comical to see them spar.

Spike has his issues with relationships and being able to steer clear of Kas but, on the whole he's made a decent life for himself. On the other hand, Kassie's life is far from rainbows and unicorns. Dangerous people and situations are lurking and threaten her newfound family and friends. Her secrets and tragic past boil to the surface on numerous occasions. The connection with Spike is hot but also the cause of several punches.

Be prepared to snicker, gasp, groan, feel phantom pains, cringe, and cheer on these two. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book has been highly anticipated and oh my, it does not disappoint. This book is part of the Rebel Ink Series and is book #3 in the series. I absolutely love these books that are written by this author and I love her style of writing.

Kas is having a really hard time of things at the minute and she is doing what she can, where she can to survive. She knows how to look after herself no matter what she has to do to get there. She is a strong woman deep inside and things are very very tough for her and I really felt for her and her situation. When Spike finds her and decides to help her no matter what he really does turn her life upside down.

Spike knows that there is no way he is going to leave her doing anything like that and is going to help her get her ass in gear and sort herself out. He decides to get her to move in worth him and wont take no for an answer, but for her its strange because she's never really had a real place to call home really. He tries to protect her but she defies him at every turn, but hey nobody ever said it was easy.

I absolutely loved these characters as with all of them in this series and I loved catching up with them again. Spike is so protective and I love that about him and Kas is so vulnerable deep down and the chemistry and the connection that they both have is strong but they try and fight anything that is developing between them. This book kept me gripped right until the very end and there is no way that you will be able to put this book down, you will love it. The story flows beautifully and this book was a fantastic unputdownable read. There is love, drama, steam and everything in between and once you start this book and this series it will keep you turning the pages until the very end. This is a real must must read.

Gah, I just love these tattooed bad boys with butter hearts. Spike was amazing. I loved to see his protective side and to see him let go of his reservations towards love and fall for Kas.

Kas was in trouble but even in the midst of paying her mother's debts, she still managed to show her strength and determination. She was stubborn, didn't want to accept help but Spike didn't let her say no. He forced his way into her life because she needed someone in her corner, someone who could and would help make her life better.

Zack was a problem of course. He wouldn't be okay with his sister shacking up and banging another one of his best friends. That was fun. I hated how Spike was so afraid of him lol but I mean he had reason to be. I swear with each new book, I like Zack a little less. I hate how volatile he is and how he jumps into action without understanding or processing anything.

I really enjoyed this book. Spike was amazing. I loved the relationship he had with Kas (when they both weren't being stupid). It was also really nice to just hang out with everyone again, some more than others aha. I'm also super excited about the next book. I love getting hints on future books.

*I received this copy in exchange for an honest opinion*

This is another story that reminds me a lot of Beauty and the Beast. Even though the male character, Spike, is not a monster at all, but a super attractive and charismatic man, he is still a thug full of tattoos. However, Kas, is his weakness. His Achilles' heel. The one that is so small but that is enough to make him tremble with just one look. Only, she is the younger half sister of his best friend and boss. Zack.

It was only recently that Zack learned that Kas existed and, since that time, he tries to protect her as much as he can. Nobody better than your best friend to do it, right? Wrong! Very wrong. As soon as Kas and Spike meet, we can only see sparks everywhere. Despite being ten years younger than Spike and a miniature woman, she has a strong and resilient spirit. From an early age she got used to pain and mistreatment. She ended up having to pay the debt of a mother who died at the hands of the world of addictions.
Both she and Spike bring troubled souls and hearts mistreated by life and the people they once knew. He carries a broken heart and an ever-present distrust of women. He walks with them, he likes to be with women, but he doesn't even entrust them with a wrinkled sheet of paper. However, he feels something strong and heartbreaking for Kas. That girl full of fierce and strength who, being who she is, is completely forbidden to him. Or should be.
Both Kas and Spike will gradually find the peace they so long for. A life full of love, friendship and fulfilled goals. Without pain, without losses and without the traumas that dictated their movements and thoughts. Since the day he appears in her life and takes her out of a striptease stage and gives her heart to him even without knowing or wanting to, their lives will never be the same.

The heart wants what the heart wants, and Spike's heart wants and needs Kas to be able to heal and love again.
Honestly, I loved it! I admit that I have not yet read the two previous books and that I was a little "clueless" when I started reading this book because it is noted that the characters already have an extensive background with each other. However, I will not stop reading them as soon as I can!

This has two of my all time favorite tropes: brothers best friend AND an age gap. And good loooorrrrddd was it good!!! Spike and Kassie had heat and banter in absolute spades! From the very beginning the connection these two had leapt off the page, and add to the have that Kassie is in danger, Spikes protective instincts kick in times 1000. He moves her in when he realizes that where she's been living is less than suitable , and it doesn't take long for those sparks to combust. But underneath their sexual chemistry, they also have an undeniable emotional connection which I adored.

The only things that I disliked about this book was Spikes unwillingness to come forward with his feelings about his Tiny, especially when it came to Zach. And speaking of, I'm liking him less and less with each new book in the series. He's such a hot head and acts without thinking, almost destroying everything in the process. The dude needs an invite amount of chill pills, or Biff just giving him a good ass kicking.

I would have liked to have gotten more of Kassie's past too, but overall this was an incredibly sexy and emotional romance!

It was fast paced story, if you liked first two books you are going to like also this one.

I only had one problem – this book is practically identical to the first two books, especially to #2 book where Zach's protectiveness for his sister is a little too much and really over the top!

'Defy you' is the third book of the 'Rebel Ink' series by Tracy Lorraine. Told in dual Perspectives , this book had all the tropes that gave me feels and made me love it so much!!

Spike has always been one of my favourite characters. So from the moment I knew that he was going to get a book of his own , then I was so excited! Kassie is the perfect match for him and I just adore the hell out of her! Spike and Kassie have the best banters that had me laughing so hard at times and swooning so bad too! The best part was that we got to see some of the other characters from the previous books.

This whole series is a must read by anyone who is looking for a steamy Romance full of funny banter and lots of mystery too! A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there!

Welcome to Rebel Ink and the third instalment to this freaking awesome series! Each book in the series just keeps on getting better and truthfully I don’t know how Tracy Lorraine comes up with her stories and characters!

Defy you has been a highly anticipated read for me and I wasn’t disappointed! It’s filled with angst, drama, passion, love and and strong characters!

Just like I’ve come to expect from Tracy’s books her storyline flowed beautifully and the characters were well written and showed immense relatability.

Overall, this book knocked all expectations out of the window and had be engulfed from the first page till the very last!

I know I am going against everyone's opinion but I know what I like and what I don't. I don't know why this book just didn't do it for me. I am usually a fan of the age gap romance but something about this one grossed me out.
I think it was the fact that he knew he was older than her but it also seemed like Spike would put the moves on her right after she had been through something awful. Don't get me wrong she was egging him on, but he should have resisted after what she had been through.
To top it off that fact that he was to afraid to stand up to Zach and tell him what was going on. To continually lie to him just felt wrong.
Also the whole Spike teaching her how to tattoo. I am no expert om the training to be a tattoo artist but I am almost positive that you don't watch one session and mere days later just know how to do it. Apprentices take years to learn the craft, I am sure the author was taking liberties but when I read a book I want believe ability.
Another thing Kas was "supposedly" a bad ass throughout the book and then at weird moments turned it to this weak ass female who couldn't cope with what was happening. This book for me took to long to read because I just wasn't invested in the characters and didn't care enough for their HEA. When you have to skim through the sex scenes because that's all the book focused on it got boring fast. Took way to long for Spike to spill why he was afraid of relationships.

After the ending of Trick You, I knew Spike and Kas’s story was going to be a rollercoaster and I was right, this book had me hooked from the start.

Kas is in trouble, she owes someone money, and needs it quickly. Her only option is to work at a strip club, and it’s all going well until her older brother’s best friend sees her on stage, and promptly drags her out. Spike is livid with Kas, and knows he needs to tell Zach, but she makes him promise not to. As part of their deal, she moves in with him, after Spike sees where she's living, and despite their age gap, their attraction grows. But Spike has been burned by a past love and thinks all women can’t be trusted so has always kept them at arm’s length, and as Kas is his best friend’s younger sister, she’s even more off limits. But Kas isn’t going to take that lightly, she sees something she wants, Spike, and she goes for it, whatever the consequences, because that’s how she’s had to grow up. As they grow closer, sparks begin to fly, but what happens when the person Kas owes catches up with her? And how will Zach react when he finds out about their relationship?

Spike and Kas’s relationship was incredible, although there was a lot of back and forth to start with, they truly began to lean on each other and sought comfort in their times of need. Spike had reservations about anything to do with love, but his feelings for Kas snuck up on him, because although he tried his hardest to keep her out, he slowly realised he had no choice. He was so protective of her from the start, it was a clue as to how deep he was already in. Kas had learnt not to rely on anyone but herself her whole life and wanted to deal with her problem on her own, but Spike wouldn’t let that happen. I loved her independence, but also her ability to know when to seek help and reassurance, from Spike or Zach. She pushed Spike’s limits so many times, the poor guy stood no chance.

The Rebel Ink series keeps getting better, Kas and Spike’s story was a great instalment and I cannot wait for D’s in Play You next!

O.M.G.

Defy You by Tracy Lorraine is book 3 in the Rebel Inc series. We met Zach (and Biff) in Hate You, and then Titch (and Danni -Zach's younger sister) in Trick You.

Well in this book we have Spike and Kas (Zach's baby half-sister...I'm guessing she's around 18-21ish?). This is an age gap, kinda forbidden romance. Let me start off by saying it was hot AF. Like, 🔥🔥🔥.

When Spike finds Kas doing something she shouldn't, he barges into her life and makes her move in with him. Kas, not used to having anyone care for her, uses the attraction she knows Spike feels to ease her emotional pain. Watching that little spitfire reduce Spike to stuttering was adorable.

Y'all. That poor girl goes through some shit. She was so much more mature than her age. Spike constantly fights his attraction, and he does a good job of it for a while, but he can't resist the pull of the little, tatted rocket who pulls at every one of his protective heartstrings. The back and forth should have grown tiring but Kas had a backbone and was NEVER a doormat. She gave just as much as Spike. Their HEA was inevitable.

The push/pull was addictive. The angst was prolific. The action and drama had me on the edge of my seat at times. And I swooned. Oh gosh, did I swoon. The emotions ran high in this story and I loved every second.

Spike was everything I love in a MMC. He was alpha, broody, sexy AF, tatted, rode a motorcycle, overprotective, explosive, and he had a conscience that was respectable. He really tried to fight the pull, but Kas was too mature, too broken, too beautiful for him to walk away. They were a beautiful couple and their HEA was WORTH IT ALL.

I loved this whole series, but this book has got to be my favorite out of all three. All three books are stand alone books, but I highly recommend reading them all in order just to get the full story of all the characters. This is Kas and Spike's story and these two together are hot AF. Their age gap and the fact that Kas is Spike's best friends sister only added to this story. I love a good age gap/brother's best friend story and Tracy Lorraine did a phenomenal job in writing what I love and making me fall in love with not only the characters, but the whole story as a whole. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The banter between these two was so comical and their chemistry was off the charts HOT. I can't recommend this author or this series enough. I can see myself doing a re-read of all three books, now that I have them all. Yes, they were just that good!!!

Happy Reading Everyone!!!

Kas’s past may have shaped her into the strong independent woman that she is now but it has also had its drawbacks. Even though she has recently reunited with her half brother Zac she has never had anyone to lean on in the past, so she isn’t about to start now even if it puts her in a dangerous situation.

When Spike finds Kas at the last place he would have expected he is determined to protect her as not only is Zac his boss but his friend as well however the only problem with that is Kas doesn’t want his help. When it comes to women Spike prefers to keep his interactions short and casual but before too long, she has him breaking all his rules. Let the fun begin!

Kas’s feisty personality has a way of challenging Spike at every turn and the chemistry between them radiates off the pages.

Kas is in a nightmare that she can’t wake up from. Spike is doing what he thinks is best. This story has two people that one has baggage not of their making and the other is fighting the forbidden. But that doesn’t stop the author from turning an imaginary thermostat up. I don't think the author will mind that I loved watching Spike squirm.

Kas has her issues but when it comes to Spike she loves to push buttons and warnings or no she wants to see how far she can go. With Spike, he has other things he has to think about but Kas makes it very difficult. On top of all this heat, the author also has a little suspense to keep our eyes glued to the pages. What I liked about the ending was that the author gives us enough to pique our interest and gets us ready for book four. And she has a crossover coming up too – wipe chin.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Wow wow wow.

This book was amazing. I have always loved the rebel ink series since tracy first introduced it to us. And each of the boys have always intrigued me, and I couldn’t wait for their stories. I fell hard for Zach, and harder for Titch, but have just fallen completed harder for spike.

Ever since Kas appeared I have been intrigued by her and what her story was and hoped that she would get a bit of happiness and have a better future than her past. Zach is family to spike, and he doesn’t want to do anything to hurt him, but Kas is also family and he feels the need to protect her, so he helps her out and gets her out of a bad situation.
I love how much Kas comes out of her shell with spike and how much he teases him, even though he knows he can’t touch her, but Kas is determined to wear him down.

I just loved this story and how things developed between Kas and spike, it was well written, and I loved the dark twists and turns in it that I did not see coming.
Another amazing book, roll on the next book in the series.

I was already expecting Kassie's story going to be so rough, but not this is even more than what you expected. I can't help but feel like the series just keeps on getting better and better. This is so emotional and the author did a really great job writing this one. It is very well-written! You will feel like you're physically there in the story. It helps that Spike and Kassie have some hot tension between them. And their banter had me laughing all the time.

This is an amazing read! I can't wait for the next book of the series!

I love me a good tattooed bad boy romance! And, this was excellent except for that ending. Not my favorite part of the story. Too short and a little confusing. I mean, I know that it’s supposed to lead into the next book in the series, but it was way too short. And, I wanted to know more about Kas and Spike’s future. Their love story was amazing, though! The passion. The heartbreak. The drama. And, of course two compelling characters. D’s up next...

Spike and Kas have trust issues due to their pasts. Spike is not a relationship kind of guy but he has feelings for Kas. He tries to deny it but the pull is just too strong. Kas doesn't trust easily. Spike gets to her in a way no guy has ever done. This is a twisting, full of fun story that will keep you interested until the last page.

Kas and Spike’s story was an emotional roller coaster that you just didn’t want to get off. They have this undeniable chemistry but Spike really isn’t interested in a relationship with Kas. He fights with himself about his feelings for Kas because he was hurt so deeply in the past. Kas doesn’t trust easily for people to help her but when Spike enters her atmosphere she thinks all that she wants and needs is a casual hookup. Can these two broken souls mend each other?

Defy You is the third book in the Rebel Ink series and it‘s all about Spike! I‘ve been interested in Spike‘s story since I‘ve read book one. Even though I am nit a huuuge fan of age gap I did enjoy this story. It wasn‘t my favorite out of the three stories released so far but it was a pretty entertaining story.

Kas is Zach‘s little sister whom he didn‘t know about until she shows up one day in his tattoo parlor. We don‘t get to know much about her until the end of Trick you where Spike sees her stripping in his go to strip club. Defy you continues right after the events in Trick you. Spike drags Kas from the stage at the strip club much to her dismay. Their stiry starts rigbt there. Spike is trying his hardest to keep Kas save and out of trouble but that girl defy‘s him anytime he says something.

Their story is actionpacked. Kas past is coming to get her and our rebel guys are in to help her out.
This book is sooo steamy but it fits very well to Spike.

I loved the sneak peek at the end of D‘s book! Can‘t wait to read more about these Rebel‘s!
