Dangerous heat. Unforgettable heroes. Sizzling happy-ever-afters.

Thanks so much for checking out my bio. I'm Jenna Gunn, author of over 25 romance novels including multiple best selling titles.

My passion is writing thrilling action, high heat, suspense and rescuer romance books with fun and unexpected plot twists.

I love deep characters who overcome pain, mistrust, and damaged pasts to find their way alongside the mate of their dreams.

The men and women in my books have flaws, heart, fears and passion, just like we do—layers that make them slip into your heart.

All of my books are first person and include two Point of View. I mainly write MF contemporary romance, but have written MFM menage. It was super fun to write with three POVs.

Many books are in a series so you get to know the families, (5 brothers in the Archer Brothers Series, 5 brothers in The Eden Mountain Firefighters, and Teammates in the Agile Security and Rescue Series). All of the books are standalone and can be enjoyed that way too.

I've accomplished my dream as an author when my reader can drop into a book and forget the rest of the world.

In addition to dreaming up delicious heroes, I'm an avid to traveler, surfer, snow skier, and water lover. I'm known to spend long periods on the road with the husband and our pup in our camper van where I always pick up inspiration for my next book. It was nice.

The conflict was stupid and shouldn’t have even been mentioned in the blurb it was so trivial. It also annoyed me because it was resolved in 24 hours without the FMC even being aware of it being so close to home and in my opinion she did worse in the fact that she kept a baby a secret for four weeks. So honestly, it was exaggerated and her omission was just swept under the carpet like it didn’t even happen.

Having vented on that hypocrisy, the plot is overly sweet. Very little heat/passion. It’s a gentle romance with an easily earned HEA. The male lead teared up or cried fairly often in this book. That really isn’t my thing for a hero. I can allow for one time, maybe, but it was a noticeable amount of occurrences. They were all tastefully written, however it was more the frequency of it that disturbed me.

I’m not sure if this story interested me enough to read a second book by this author. I have to say I found I was smiling as I read through most of the book. There was really nothing bad here. Just my personal perceptions that have me not all that invested. Like I said I read it while unconsciously smiling. It was a nice story. I just feel like it needed more “umph”, you know.

Sweet and Delish
This is the first book in the Everything For Love series and is a great start to the series. Alyssa and Grant have an instant attraction but he fails to get her number after she spills mustard on his shirt. A sweet romance with an emotional billionaire who has a tendency to cry a lot. The therapy dog Cocco is adorable and adds to the story. I used to live in Charleston so the story was special to me. She ran a bakery in town and had a tendency to overreact to situations because of her anxiety and that caused her some stress. The story was sweet but did have some surprises, a little angst, a HEA, and lots of drama. I read a free arc copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I read the second book of this series first, "The Fireman I Love to Hate". It was a delightful tale and at the end was a link to download this story. This one is for the twin sister, Alyssa to Alex (in The Fireman I Love to Hate). Alyssa runs a bakery Sweet Thing. It is a big hit in Charleston. Alyssa suffers from severe anxiety due to an incident when the twins were younger. To help her, Alyssa has a therapy dog named Cocoa. Alyssa goes to the park to meet her friend and employee, Dan. While there, Alyssa runs into a handsome man and gets mustard all over his shirt. Grant is a charming man and the attraction between them is instant. Unfortunately Dan appears and calls Alyssa away for an emergency at the bakery. Grant is disappointed to not get the beautiful lady's number. The two would later run into each other again and the road to their HEA is enchanting to read.

I adored the dual POV format that this was written in. It helps me to really identify with the character to understand them better. I would classify this as a sexy read as there were some scenes that may offend some. Therefore I can only recommend this to anyone over the age of 18.

One point to note: This copy had some grammatical error in it. For the most part, I knew what the author meant but there were a couple that had me re-reading to figure it out. Now did it take away from the story, not to me it didn't. It made for a wonderful light read.

Cute

Very cute story I was hoping for more of the pregnancy part but it was still good. Sometimes we need a cute romance fantasy to take our minds from the darkness of the world today and this book did just that! Thank you author

MS. Gunn ,keeps the characters fresh and believable . The story moves quickly . It's funny and at times you'll cry for both characters as they navigate their love and try to learn how to communicate . I can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

Sweet in so many ways

This story is sweet in so many ways but it's angst is so obviously contrived that it does not even read as a problem to me. Quick read with good characters.

I’ve read The Neighbor Wars and The Baby Donor by Jenna Gunn and decided that I would go back and read her first two books, while waiting for the release of the new one. Let me just say I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! I wish I had done it sooner!!! I am one of Jenna’s BIGGEST fans, she’s an incredible writer, who has a way of incorporating serious issues into her books in such a thoughtful, well researched, overall amazing way. The animals and humor she brings into them as well is always perfect and has me giggling from start to finish.

The Billionaire’s Bun in the Oven is absolutely no exception to this. The characters are so sweet and will have you falling in love with them immediately while the storyline is adorable and fun to read.

The chemistry between Grant and Alyssa was beautiful and steamy!! I loved the sweet way they met and all the cute interactions they shared. Grant is so dreamy and swoon worthy, I loved him instantly. He was incredibly understanding and supportive of Alyssa, it just made him all the more perfect.

Alyssa as a character was a bit different from your typical heroine. What Jenna has done in this book has introduced a character who suffers from severe anxiety after suffering a tragic loss. Instead of her letting it run her life though she persevering and fighting. Cocoa is Alyssa’s adorable therapy dog who throughout the book is so in tune with even her most subtle of mood shifts and helps to keep her calm and grounded. I felt that it was so well done and so well represented that as soon as I started reading, it felt like it could’ve easily been me she was talking about, right down to the therapy dog. I always love when I can connect with a character but the connection I felt with Alyssa is something I’ve only ever felt one other time in a book, so it was truly a rarity for me.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I am so ready to jump into The Fireman I Loved to Hate and read Alyssa’s twin brothers story.

I’ve read almost all of Jenna’s books, but I was missing this one and “The fireman I love to hate” (which I intend to read next).

If I’m not mistaken this was Jenna’s debut novel and even tho it’s a wonderful well written story, I can honestly see how much she has grown as an author since writing this book.

“You just seemed to be hitting it off with Mr. Mustard”

Alyssa, our heroine, is an independent woman who owns her own bakery and has fought hard to follow her dreams and make them came true.
She has problems with anxiety, due to great trauma that she endured while she was a child. To help her live a normal life, Alyssa counts on Cocoa, a therapy dog that is too cute not to fall in love with.
I sometimes struggle with anxiety, not anywhere near to the heroine condition (thank God), but I can appreciate how much animals help ground us during those times and help us calm down and breath through. So I appreciate how Jenna included Cocoa and brought awareness to a problem that affects more and more people everyday.

“I think he loves me. He jumped straight into oncoming traffic at a four-way intersection in Charleston to save Cocoa. If that’s not an act of love, what is?”

Grant falls in love with Alyssa almost immediately.
This is, in every sense of the word, an insta romance.
I did like the hero, but I didn’t love him. He was sweet and thoughtful and everything you want in a man, but... though I think it’s important that man show their emotions, Grant was always crying (I mean Alyssa too, but she has a condition). Well it was just too much crying, through the book, for my taste.

Alyssa had a trauma filled beginning in life. She and her twin Alex have been all they had for the last two years. Wait, hold up. Let me back up. There is Dan, Alyssa’s all-around bestie since college.
He knows fashion better than she does and he will tell you so. When Alyssa and Alex lost their grandparents and Alyssa needed Cocoa her. Therapy dog everyone was on board to make it happen. Dan even came to support her dream of opening her own bakery, and she has.
Sweet Thing is a success. Although the trauma from her childhood still haunts her, Dan and Cocoa make everyday life easier. On this night they go to a concert in the park. When a well to do man crashes into her. Getting mustard all over his shirt.
Instead of being angry, he can’t take his eyes off her. Apologizes to her and buys her two new hot dogs to replace what had been spilled. They are both taken with one another. But their meet-cute is broken when Dan comes running up saying there’s an emergency at work.

Their next meet she’s walking Cocoa. He asks her out to dinner. The romance is fast as you would expect by the blurb and the cover. But this was so sweet and Grant is so humbled hearing about her therapy dog vs. service dogs. I even looked up the difference too.
Sweet loving characters and I love how the author made the store work so well around her trauma and her dealings with it in her life. Then, how she is now allowing it to be an excuse but a driving force in her life. I give this: 5 stars. Found on Amazon for free. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.

My rating: 2/5
Hero: 3/5
Heroine: 2/5
POV: dual
Angst level: 2/5
Steam level: 2/5
Genre: billionaire
Trigger/Taboo: unexpected pregnancy

Thing I liked:
-Not much really. I liked the beginning, how they met but after that it went downhill.

Things I didn’t like:
-Daniel, Alyssa’s best friend. Something about him rubbed me the wrong way. He’s supposed to be her best friend but he’s bitching the whole time or being an ass to her..

My opinion:
This is a quick read really but around 70% I lost my reading vibe. It was kinda dragging after that. I read it with one eye open really. I liked the beginning of this book & the way they met but in my opinion the rest was utter BS. I love me a good insta love story but this was just ridiculous. They met 2 times & they’re in love immediately. Grant keeps it a secret he sued Alyssa, if he just told her immediately, then there wouldn’t be a problem at all. But okey I know, then this book would be 5 pages long instead of 90.. Also the pregnancy was complete BS in my eyes. Grant was just fine with it, he’s not thinking if Alyssa trapped him or something because you know, being a billionaire & stuff like that.. & then the engagement, Grant confessed to Alyssa & did a big gesture & then he proposed to her. SHE DIDN’T TALK TO HIM FOR WEEKS BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T KNOW IF SHE COULD TRUST HIM! & then she just said yes of course..

First book of the series Everything for Love, and it is off to quite a start! A great enemies to lover, and they don't even know they are enemies at first. Alyssa owns a bakery and keeps a therapy dog with her. It's against the building rules to have pets on the premises and the building owner, none other than our hero Grant, gives instructions to send Alyssa a warning letter. Meanwhile, they bump into each other on the street, not knowing who they really are, and are really drawn to each other. They begin to form a budding romance that could be jeopardized when Alyssa finds out Grant is the one sending all those warning letters. This was a delightfully cute romance and Alyssa and Grant really fit well together. A sweet love story with plenty of sizzle! Great start to a new series!

Bumping Into Their Loving Hearts -
Alyssa suffers from severe anxiety so she needs a therapy dog to calm her panic attacks and therefore doesn’t have a social life. Grant is a wealthy man, whose life is his work and his parents. Grant and Alyssa’s unexpected meeting, takes them on a rollercoaster ride that changes their lives immensely. The story is sweet with a deeper feel to it, that definitely pulls on your heartstrings. It also has lovable, swoon worthy characters and some witty banter, which makes the storyline flow perfectly. You will definitely enjoy reading this book and read won’t be able to put it down once you start reading it.

Truthfully– we don’t really pick up romance novels looking for an unpredictable, genre-bending read. We all enjoy the HEA’s and the journey that gets the characters to them. As an avid reader of romance books, I can say that there is an amazing, awe inspiring amount of creativity that can happen within that equation, but sometimes the tales are simply a fun, if predictable, way to spend an afternoon. If you’re looking for “fun & predictable” than Billionaire’s Bun in the Oven may be the book for you. Sorry, no spoilers. Grab your copy!
