I’m loving this series and the very confident assertive FMCs who are able to roll with the punches. Andrea fell quickly for her vampire, but he wasn’t creepy like Edward, so I’m ok with it. He was all self sacrificing and denying and she brought him out of that place to the (figurative) light of day. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: assault (off page, of MMC), death, blood, exhibitionism, violence (mild, implied)

Vampires! A Taste for Blood is slower-paced and darker than the first book, but vampires and romance go hand-in-hand. “Fate and an online ad” was a line on the first page of this book, and that intrigued me immediately! The love between the two characters is intense and I need more of their story! Also, Andrea, the main character, has the nicest friends, so hopefully we’ll hear more about them soon. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

I thought that there needed a bitttt more time establishing the plot and characters. Things kinda skipped weekend to weekend and idk barely any time was spent at the dinner which was the whole point, and everything was still kind vague the whole time. Also, I thought her insta love was a little unbelievable but I guess that's fine since she was still in college lol. Most could have been fixed up if this was a bit longer and fleshed out!

Pretty fast, like the first book. Arguably wouldn't have had to read the first book to read this one.
