Vampire Shifter Academy

I believe this is the first vampire book written by this author and she knocked it out of the park!! Hi school years are the hardest and Eva has had a crap-tastic time of it after losing both of her parents. She is uprooted and enrolled in a new high school but something happens and she is whisked away/ “kidnapped” into a different school. And to top it all off her parents omitted some things and paranormals really do exist. When she wakes up she is at a high school for vampires and halflings and is being targeted by the school bully. Buckle up and enjoy the ride because there will be drama, angst, romance and humor in this story.

I hardly give books this low of a rating but this book was hard to read. First it was a vampire academy since the shifter part was kicked out before Eva the MC attended. She slept with the guys the first time while she is on her period which is gross and remotely not interesting. I found that I could hardly get to know the characters since they didn't show any depth what so ever. They got offended when she questioned their character but come on she did not even hardly know them. THis was just okay for me and I am surprised I even finished it.

Great book!!! 💖
This is the first Lilly's book I have read and I really loved it!!!... I think it was a little rushed, mainly in the relationship between Eva and the guys, but it was still awesome!!! 🤓
Eva is an amazing FMC, strong, decided, she knows what she wants, loyal, looking to do the right thing for herself and everybody 🤩
Bella becomes an amazing best friend and thanks to her, Eva can deal with a lot of nasty things 💞
The guys are amazing and so hot, they became Eva's protectors, always looking for her well being 😍
Love the story line, different from what I have read about vampires, totally recommended!!! 👍💯

Eva was mourning her parents and then she was kidnapped. Now living at an Academy where she does not know who to trust, she must rely on her instincts for survival.
Beware of things that go bump in the night or that just show up in your bedroom. Eva has not even had time to adjust to her parents’ deaths when she is forcibly taken from her grandparents’ house.
She wakes up at the Ridgeview Academy. It probably would not be so bad if it was not made up of vampires. She is told that she cannot leave and that her parents had made arrangements before their death for her to attend the boarding school.
Eva is in a state of shock. Unfortunately she is not given time to recover as she stumbles upon one mystery after another and gains an enemy on almost the first day. She does find though three boys her are open to her polyamorous lifestyle: Sebastian, Dorian, and Frey.
The problem is one or more might be lying to her or trying to kill her.
I have never read a Lilly Wilder book before and where have I been? Under a rock? Holy sugar this was such a ride. Vampire Shifter Academy was so much fun. Vampires, werewolves, mystery, and sex - this makes for the perfect combination in my mind.
Wilder gives Eva the strength of character to know what she wants at a young age and to not settle for anything less. (I wish I had known I had such a young age.) I actually cannot think which of the boys I like best because they all fit the package of what Eva needs which is what polyamory is all about.
The mystery of who Eva is and the mystery surrounding the Academy is well-written. Wilder makes you care about the characters. I am excited to see where they go next. ✶✶✶✶

This is another great academy book to read. This is definitely one that should be on your to be read list. I loved the story and how it sucked me in. It starts of right in the thick of things. There is not a slow build to the story. At first you have all kinds of questions but it is quickly answered and just builds from there. You cannot help but fall in love with the main character Eva. There is a bit of mystery as well but that just helped build the suspense of the story. As you know Eva has been dealt a bad hand and has to deal with it all as best she could. Then all of sudden she is brought to a new school, one that she did not know of and learned that she is a halfling, part vampire/part human. She meets some pretty amazing guys and now she feels that she can start over with her life and be who she wants to be. I loved this book because the main character realizes the opportunity and makes the best of it. The relationships she forms with the guys is hot. There is a lot of revelations in the book and she finds out some shocking news. Eva is amazing with how she deals with everything.
This is a wonderful academy book and I cannot wait to see what is next by Lilly Wilder.

Academy books are my new guilty pleasure. It's been eons since I was in school, so for me they are really exciting. Eva lost her parents in a car accident and she is going to her grandparents to finish school. She's kidnapped and awakens in a school for vampires and half-bloods. Ooops, she didn't know her dad was vampire. Her roommate, Bella, is a sweetheart and will help her navigate school drama. School bully has singled her out to torture. Something's not right at the school, but she's gonna find out. She has three guys more than willing to help her with everything. Dorian is popular, a jock, a player and smitten. Frey is a really nice guy, smart and makes her laugh. Sebastian is the bad boy, controlled and secretive. Eva and her guys begin a relationship and it will take all of them and Bella to live through it all. This is fast paced and full of action. Think vampires, shifters, magic and even demons. I recommend this book. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I loved this book. I was hooked from the very beginning. Eva lost her parents and instead of mourning she is wisked to a secret academy for the paranormal. There are questions that she needs answered and so did I. Eventually they all got answered. Not only is she trying to come to terms with the fact she lost her parents, she is in a new school, but now the normal school experience is happing all the while she has to figure out what is going on at the school.
I couldn't put this book down. From start to finish. my questions were answered. I didn't want to put it down. My emotions and thoughts and the need to finish the book was on high alert that I ignored everything just to finish the book. I was not disappointed and look forward to many other in this series and by this author.

Weirdly juvenile and wordy
This book read like either a grandmother trying to write a high school book with themes like mean girls the movie or a 12 year old who tells everything via internal monologue. There were paragraph long explanations of deep personal views of the world.... not a whole lot of paranormal (maybe it was only used so the villain/plot could be used?)... the main character was pretty bland, her men one dimensional, and the emotions weren’t really believable. The main character also showed no uniqueness (despite her species). I overall read it like a dictionary- superficially. Not bad ideas but not my cup of tea.

This is my first book by Lily Wilder and I was impressed with a great story. It has a great collection of characters with amazing personalities that become even stronger as the story proceeds. The support characters are beautifully developed and add a wonderful element to the story. It is well written and the flow of the story is superb. The story has a lot of suspense, drama, and mystery with twists and turns throughout it. It keeps you glued to your seat wondering what is going to happen. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

This was a really good book! I’ve read a few of Lilly’s books and this is my favourite so far! Eva lost both her parents and on top of it finds out they’ve been keeping big secrets from her - the paranormal is real. She ends up in a high school for vampires and halflings. This story is fast paced and fun! There’s lots of drama and angst as she meets hot boys and deals with bullies. I definitely recommend this academy romance!

Very juvenile characters
This was really disappointing. The characters are very juvenile, to the point I thought this was a YA novel. Then they started having sex constantly so I guess it's supposed to be NA but it was so uncomfortable reading about these very juvenile kids having sex. At the start the FMC can't even look at on of the guys when he takes his clothes off. But then she's okay having sex with him and 2 others at the same time? It kinda squicked me out if I'm being honest. I don't recommend this and I doubt I'll read anything by this author again.

What an amazing book! The plot sucks you in from the start and you can't help but wanting to find out what comes next. Eva has to move with her grandparents and change schools after her parents die. While there secrets are revealed, one being that her father was a vampire. This book really has absolutely everything needed for a fantastic read, mystery, action, secrecy, drama, and intrigue. The characters are well defined, complex and realistic. I definitely recommend this book.

Vampire Shifter Academy is so much more than just high school drama. Its about finding out that what you always knew to be one thing is actually nothing like the truth. Read to find out what happens when Eva finds out about the lies and secrets her parents had that died before they could tell her all while she deals with bullies and boys. Expect suspense, betrayal, lies, secrets and a bit of chemistry outside of the classroom.

This book is poorly written, with archaic idioms and cringe inducing dialogue. The third person presentation is confusing. A high school girl loses her parents to a car accident and moves in with her maternal grandparents only to be kidnapped off to a special academy for vampire offspring. Thus begins a poorly crafted story culminating in a reverse harem. I basically read the first few chapters, then skipped to the end. Not for me.

Wonderful Story
I loved this take of a young girl who learns to make the best of her situation. Noone likes loosing a parent but too loose both and find out there are supernatural beings that you are tied too out there. Well she deals as well as can be expected. I got to ARC read this and it did not disappoint. Fast burn fast paced read. BRAVO!

ARC review For honest review. Attending Ridgeview academy a secret education facility reserved for vampires and halflings only Eva miles after her parents death she find out a lot of stuff . She meets frey, dorian, Sebastian and her roommate Bella but she also has a bully that's tormenting her that she has to deal with. This is a 10 star of awesome goodness.

I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. It was so different to the usual vampire stories, I really enjoyed reading this book. Eva is an amazing character who faced challenges and came out stronger in the end. Well done to the author on a well written book that has me hooked from the start!

A rather enjoyable read, with plenty of twists and turns.
Starts off hard for the main character but half way through she gets her reward.
Interesting collection of partners for her too.
This is one of my favorite authors and she has not let me down with this one.

School can be deadly
Eva is abducted and taken to a school for vampires. There she finds out she is a Halfling. She learns vampires and werewolves exist. With best friend and her guys, she fights evil lurking in the school.

It is a shame that adult content spoils what would have been a five-star YA book which takes a long day to read. I read an ARC and this voluntary review is my own opinion.

Urban fantasy
Vampires, damphires, werewolves, and demons. Well the academy feeling is there the individual cultures was not. It just seemed to be missing angst.
