I was born and raised in Chicago, IL (and later the south suburbs of the city), where I grew up loving books and music and especially books about music. After college, I taught high school English before leaving the States for New Zealand on a working holiday that was more holiday than working, and I relocated to Nashville, TN when I returned.
I played in bands throughout high school and college and while in grad school in Nashville, and I continued writing, eventually landing a stint as a contributing writer for The Onion News Network. I've worked in writing and research fields since then.
I enjoy traveling and staying put with my soon-to-be wife, and I still love books and music and especially books about music. I'm excited about my first novel, and I'm currently working on the next thing.
Good place to start for preparing for emergencies. Thought provoking. For me, this was a great intro to some products and add-ons for our 72 hour kits.
