This was such an good audiobook, very engaging and entertaining. Liked both the characters and the writing style. Need to listen to book two sooner rather than later
I tried, I swear I did. When I wanted to stop reading the first time I went back and decided that I would try to continue. I'm like one "fat ass" away from throwing my phone. I mean we get it y'all are plus sized women, but omg who the hell continously call each other "fat asses"? Then there is no connection what so ever between the two couples. Michael and Taria haven't even tried to get to know each other when they are together there is no conversation at all, also the constant mentioning of how fine the guys were was just too overwhelming. I don't even feel a connection between Taria and Toya. It seems to have potential but I can't get into the story for nothing in the world.
We all live in suspense from day to day; in other words, you are the hero of your own story." Welcome back dear readers, in search of a mind-blowing fiction, I landed up on this extraordinarily brilliant one by E. Bowser. A story calm and sober at the the beginning but wild and thunderous like waves as it proceeds. Taria Cross and Latoya Grey, two girls living a sorted life, in their last year of college, with their careers planned. Taria aspires to be an investigative journalist while Latoya is working hard to become a fashion photographer. Not just this thery are also happy with their partners Michael and Quinn. Things were going fine until the day when Taria in her investigation of a missing person gets to discover something really terrible and disastrous which is going to affect their lives. Now a real big hint for you: Michael and Quinn are not really the happy loving guys Taria and Latoya have dreamed of.
📝This investigation welcomes both the girls to a whole new bizzare world of shady people and scary beings. This is a nail-biting preternatural thriller, amazing enough to blow your minds. A whole new set of characters attached to a mind- blending background. Tie up your belts, let's take off to this new world.
📝I'm glad that I found this fantastic piece, I'm in love with the characters. The plot presentation is so realistic I was able to visualise every angle so clearly. The story is perfectly balanced and the suspense is real game changer. I really enjoyed throughout the read, the ultimate suspense made me to finish the whole story in just two days. I'm eagerly waiting for the another one.
📝I would recommend you to read this ultramodern preternatural fiction. To all the young readers out there; you guys should definitely pick this, a perfect one for your leisure time and also appropriate to gift or suggest your friends. So, what are you waiting for, quickly get your copies and enter this amazing world.
My kind of series to fall into. The story line of two childhood friends who are total opposite of one another meeting up with a Vampire an a Werewolf makes for an odd combination. However, they fit perfectly! This book is an absolute page turner. Never a dull moment from beginning to end!
This book held my attention from beginning to the end. The details and excitement along with the mystery had me on edge. I would definitely recommend this book. Part2 hear I come.
This was the first time I've read a book from this author and its the first time I've read a book in this genre. Ebony did not disappoint me, I loved it! Deadly Secrets had my interest & curiosity from the beginning. I read this book without reading the synopsis first (which I've never done), so I had no idea what it was about or what to expect! It started off a little slow, but was well worth it! I did get confused at one point because an incorrect name was used for one of the main characters.
The only other issues I had with this book was the editing; words were missing or out of place. It wasn't too much of a problem, but it was like that throughout the entire book. It was, however, easy to make out what was said or what was being stated. That's why I gave it 4 Stars!
I loved the characters, especially Taira & Michael! The storyline was amazing! This book was very visual ...& the sex scenes were, Oh My Gosh (I had to take a break (several times) to get me a fix, if you know what I mean :-) ) lol, HOT HOT HOT!!!
If you're into Romance, Paranormal, Vampires, Werewolves, hot & steamy sex scenes, etc. ...this book is for you!
I was very upset at the end ...but for good reason, I wanted to know what was going to happen, like NOW!!! With that being said, I can't wait for the release of Part 2! Great Job Ebony!
What I enjoyed about this work in particular was Ms. Bowser's ability to capture the vibe and the vibrancy of the college years. I almost felt...no I do feel that the story would be perfect vehicle for a soap opera style show. Yes there are paranormal aspects to this work but the real focus is on the relationships. While it started off slow, when the action escalated the story really took off. All together this was an interesting mix of urban and paranormal fiction.
I really want to give this book more stars but the errors make impossible. There was so many grammatical errors, misused of words. I had to reread the paragraphs again. The book was really good. I love Michael and Taria, I like Quinn but can't stand Latoya. When her parts came I had to grit my teeth. I'm crossing fingers part two is better writing.
Yo Taria and Toya are REALLY pissing me off bruh! How y'all so scared but keep on being hard headed and arguing with them about Y'ALL safety like there isn't enough shit going on! And then Taria's stupid ass just keep doing dumb shit . I really hope they get it together cause they are doing THE MOST. Great read though! Lol
I really liked the storyline but there were so many grammar and punctuation errors that sometimes it was hard to tell what the character was saying in the dialogue. Not sure if I’ll continue reading the rest of the series, at least not if it’s unedited like this first book.
I really enjoyed this book because of the suspense and the fact that you never know what they may bump into, Damon is crazy i can't wait to find out about the other werewolf.
First off that cliffhanger OMFG!!! Second I love Michael and Quinn's friendship! And F Steven!!! This story has me hooked. Every time I thought one thing was going to happen, it was way different from what I predicted. I can't wait to read the next book to see what's going to happen next!
There were chapters in the wrong order and even what seemed like notes from the editor still in the book. The core story is good but some of the dialogue seemed unrealistic
Wow I have so many things that I can say about this book !!! You did such a good job. I can’t wait to read the next book. This book keeps you guessing and intrigued
This series is so addictive!! The more the characters learn about the deadly secrets from their parents past the more the drama they have to face..... Phenomenal five star read!
This book felt like it was geared towards YA readers as it reminded me of 50 Shades of Grey and the Twilight series for the young urban street market. The story is long and it sets you up for the next books in the series. There were a lot of grammatical errors. The story flowed and by the end of the story you are vested in the characters
It was good, actually didn't read it full book, i felt like it repeated itself. A little drawn out and sex scene repetitive. Just not enough action to hold me.. Willing to try part 2
Chile Michael and Quinn ain’t playing about their ladies ! I love that for Toya and Taria 🥰 ! What are the odds you’ll meet a vampire and werewolf 😌 big sexy vamp and wolf lol 😂 where do I sign up ✍🏾 I’m tryna see what that be like lol
What really happened to make Damon that way? Who is this new wolf that’s sniffing around Quinn? Can Taria drink Micheals blood without anything happening to her?
I don't know how to really feel about this book. The girls are stubborn in an annoying way. They are also disrespectful when it comes to the way they handle their dealings with the other men. However, I guess it's still good enough to read PT 2.
