Holding true to her vows, Siara stands by his side until the day he is released from prison, however, home doesn’t feel the same. Trust is no longer certain but becomes a lingering question.

Overall the book was a decent read. I didn't know what I would rate this one only because I guessed the plot and it felt a little lifetime storyish. But overall it was a good read

B. Love stepped out of her comfort zone with this story. It's often hard for writers to cross over to other genres, but B. Love smashed this. The ambassador of black romance novels wrote a mystery/thriller and it did not disappoint. I hope she continues to give this genre a go.

Silia is in love and happily married with her husband Silky, but when his ex-wife and best friend turn up dead back to back, she starts to question him and her love for him. When she has her daughter Silia it only complicates things as secrets are revealed and nothing is as it seems.

My mind was completely blown by the end of this story. Everything I thought would happen didn't and the stuff that actually happened left me intrigued.

Side eyed goodness

So, B. Love says this is her venture into writing murder mystery. I say well you done good kid! I can’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil anything. Just know this Silky and Siera are happily in love . Their love is tested when Silky is accused of murdering his ex wife. Did he or didn’t he? Does Siera stand by the love of her life when it doesn’t look good? Is Silky the perfect man, or is he hiding an ugly secret? Well , I ain’t no snitch so if you want to know the answers to these questions, please do yourself a favor and read “Held Captive by a Criminals Heart” B. Love continues to push boundaries. Love this book!!

I enjoyed reading this story but I found it to be a bit predictable with who the real killer was. The story was written well enough and was intriguing enough that I still wanted to complete the book to confirm if what I thought would happen would and it did. That for me was kinda disappointing only because I figured out what would happen half way thru. On the flip side of that I like puzzles and confirming if my hypothesis is right so I read the rest of the book straight thru. This was a pretty good first attempt at mystery and suspense writing for B. Love and I'm sure I will read the next one as well.

"Held Captive by a Criminal's Heart" by B. Love

My Speculation:

Wow-what a read that will leave you utterly shocked at the way this story played out. The author did give the reader one excellently good read as the story goes into its 'mystery, love, murder, hate, and revenge.' It was so good seeing how well Siara knew something was wrong and took action to find out what was going on with her husband. To find out what was going on, you will just have to pick up "Held Captive by a Criminal's Heart" to see what was going on with Silky.

You have got to read this book!!!!!!

The GOAT!!!! If you didn't do anything else, B. Love, you've lived up to your name! This book was absolutely AMAZING! I was trying to help find clues and coming up with my own conclusion. I wasn't sure, but I felt like that wasn't him. I was asking nobody, "Maybe he had one..." Not knowing HE DID! This book had me on edge to where I did not put it down. You are one heck of a writer, ma'am. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. This book was so good I'm over here squealing! Great job, B!!!!

Held Captive by a Criminal's Heart

B. Love you did it again!! This story had me from the beginning. But I can admit I didn't see that coming with the Twin brother Casanova. You really don't know what you do to kids when you give them away or put them in the system. There life can go either way good are bad. Siara follow her gut and go her husband back. But having that baby...noooooo I don't think I could have done that. . It all worked out in the end!! Excellent job B. Love!!🔥🔥🔥

The most amazing thing about this book is that, according to the author's note at the beginning, this is the author's first mystery. If this is how one enters a new genre, then I'm sure readers will delight in what follows. I loved Silk and Sisi's chemistry and their interconnectedness. I did not see the twist surrounding the false accusations against Silk coming. I would have loved for the author to draw out the conclusion--but she did point out that it was a novella...nonetheless, I STAN for B. Love's stories!

Wow!!!

For this to Queen B. Love’s first book in the Mystery genre it was amazingly written. For it to be a novella we got the full picture with no holes left unfilled. The storyline was well put together and the suspense behind it had me guessing the whole time trying to figure it out before the conclusion. I loved the characters as well especially the fact that Siara didn’t just give up until she learned the whole truth and didn’t let it hinder her love for Silky.

OhMyGawt!

Ms. B did the doggone thang once again! I think she could write how to manuals and make them a good read. My first literary love is psychological thrillers adding the romance element took it to a whole other level. I was right there with her at the halfway point in the book, then she pushed me under the bus and I was run over by every tire. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for her next full length thriller. I recommend this book.

Good read

I was excited about this novella since it was a new genre for one of my faves. But then I read a few reviews which I dont do alot, but I did and 1 persons review told the whole dang story! I was so mad, I stopped once I saw where they were going but it was to late and ruined for me. So the whole time I read and knew the answers I felt so cheated. PLEASE DONT DO THAT! Respect other readers.

B. The Beast has done it again!!! This story was so good with the different twist and turns, I was very shocked to see there was a twin doing all the dirt against Silky causing all the drama in his and Siara’s life. I was glad that she found a way to find out the ugly truth and get Silky is life back and get rid of Casanova for good!!

Great job B.!!! I can’t wait for the next one ❤️❤️

That was insanely good!

Talk about a nail biter...it had all of the elements for a romantic suspense. I wondered if we were in the same predicament as Siara would we have known, even better would we have been able to solve that dilemma. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I strongly suggest the readers to check it out!

another winning read

This was a new style for B Love and I can’t wait to read what’s next. Silky and Siara their love and connection was strong, but there were extenuating circumstances that showed confusion and deception to slip in. Ultimately, Siara listened to her gut and discovered the lies and even more than she bargained to. In the end, love would win.

Never Disappointed

B. Love has surpassed her own expectations. She has proven time and time again that her talent is not held captive by any genre. It spans all genres and can’t be contained.
Held Captive was her first venture into mystery or suspense. I’m sure it won’t be her last.

I was bamboozled!

I was initially convinced that Silky was innocent but as time went on, I started to believe he was guilty. When she described the difference in his features and characteristics, I pushed it to the back of my mind because alot COULD change in 3 months. This was an Amazing Read! Definitely a page-turner.

Unexpected

Talk about a plot twist. This little story caught me ofc guard. I must say shouldn't risk have know her husband? I mean there should have been clues all along. You can't study someone and not slip up somehow. Parts of this was a !little unrealistic. I give it 5 stars because it caught me totally off guard.

SILKY

This book is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. B Love has a new genre. So glad Sisi trusted her gut and found out the truth about Cass. At first I thought Silky had multiple personalities. So glad it worked out in the end for Silky and Sisi. Thank you B Love for the HEA ending.

You had me going with this book. I was confused and upset about what was going on. How Casanova just took over and Sara no really knowing the difference and not knowing her husband had a twin. This book was amazing. 👏 Congratulations

Great Build Up

This was a much different read than the others I’ve read by this Author and there is no regret. It was exciting and I had many of the same questions Siara had. Definitely a genre I’d like this Author to explore more of.

Twin flames.

I loved this Novella. It was a great mystery novel. I thought that Cassonva was Silky at first but learning the truth was shocking. Silky is such a good man and I am glad SiSi dug for the truth. I would definitely read another B Love mystery novel.

This book had a lot going on: murder, mystery, romance and a little action. I really enjoyed it and I was not expecting that ending. People will actually do whatever needs to be done for true love. Great job.
