Ya, no. Lol. This was almost a DnF but I wanted to push through to see if it can get any worse, which it didn't... But it didn't get any better either. Making this whole book pretty eh. So many things wrong with it imo.
First would be how immature literally every single character is in this book, the hero especially. He is supposed to be 35 years old, and the Prez of the MC, but I swear it's all a lie. He legit acts like a 16 year old the entire book, who only cares about sex and more sex, and porn obviously. Oh, and bragging about it. So of course we get several scenes of him either getting it on with clubhoes, or just finishing up. Then the rest is him talking about the orgies the club throws all the time in their living room during parties. I swear he acts more immature than the 18 year old naive, dumb, and of course, very inexperienced virgin, heroine.
He doesn't let the heroine on the back of his bike because he only lets women on that he f**ks. So he makes her ride with one of the other members. Her puts her in the unused basement instead of a spare room, just because I guess. He takes her phone, and trying to get it back, she walks in on him getting a bj. He is supposed to protect the heroine but treats her more like a prisoner, so she tries to escape. He pulls her hair, puts her in literally a dog kennel in his room, where she's only allowed out to pee and shower which he obviously has to stand there and watch her so she doesn't escape. He brings a woman to have s*x with in front of the heroine who is stuck in the dog cage. Heroine tells the ow that the hero has herpes and the ow leaves right before they're about to get it on. Hero gets mad, and whips the heroine with a belt after, then cuddles on the same bed that he gets it on with all the clubhoes, those same clubhoes who appear and are mentioned most of the book.
Heroine does a 180 and all of a sudden acts all docile and sweet for no reason. The hero is supposed to be "tortured", because he saw his mom die, but is totally fine the entire book except for like 2 nightmares of it. The rest of the middle part of the book is a bit of a blur because I ended up skimming, but I think most of it was just club business and the hero facing off his dad, and the members discussing how to use the heroine as bait even though they're supposed to be protecting her. They're real smart apparently. Then the heroine gets taken, is forced to take drugs, forced to perform sexual acts, and then r*ped and beaten off screen.
When hero saves her, we get a couple of chapters of him doing a 180 and super big time babying her and her totally going along with it until all of a sudden, she freaks out that he's treating her too nice... Lol. She's not ready for s*x again and she mentions to him that she doesn't know how long until she will be, and it can take years and she askes him if he would really be able to wait for her. He gives her a reply to kind of divert the question and in his head says he wouldn't be able to wait that long, but doesn't tell her that because even he knows it sounds douchey. Now they're all lovey dovey and he's babying her and all that, and it's way too cheesy and insta love for how long they hated each other in the book. In one part, the club throws a party where all they do is have orgies and drink, and he mentions how he's sad pretty much, about missing all the fun... But then backtracks saying at least he has Birdie or whatever which is who he really wants to be with, hmm...
They're officially together now, and because of her trauma from being taken, she willingly goes back into the dog kennel, stating that it makes her feel safe, whatever that means. So they keep the dog kennel and they go back to like before where he locks her up in it and only allows her out to eat and use the bathroom (even the hero was low-key like wtf). And then in the epilogue, it's insinuated that the heroine is all of a sudden super kinky now, and she even buys a bird cage to keep in their new house, instead of the dog kennel. Ya... This book is whack lol.
Overall, this isn't a very good book IMO. The writing was bland. All of the characters were super OTT, that it just made them all very immature. So many cheesy and cringey things being said and done. Way too many unbelievable things, from her own father asking a group of bikers/killers to protect his 18 year old daughter, to the hero being in a relationship with the heroine. Giving this book half a star though because no sharing and she never had to witness one of the orgies thankfully. But ya, that's it lol.

Birdie’s Biker is a dark, delicious treat. It's been sitting in my kindle for several months; then Misty walker revealed some of her google searches for this book, and I was hooked; I fell down the biker’s rabbit hole.
Take the trigger warnings very seriously. It's intense and not for the faint of heart. There is drug abuse, violence, and sexual assault.
Bridgette, aka Birdie, is your typical spoiled rich kid. She got on my nerves and was way too whiny for me, until about thirty percent. She is a spitfire, smart, and man, did she give Lokie so much trouble.
Lokie, is the prez of his motorcycle club And from the relationship type. Birdies father hires Loki to retrieve his property and protect his daughter. Loki is less than stellar to babysit Birdie, thinking she is a child until she walks in, and sees the most attractive woman he has laid eyes on, and fights to stay away from her. She pushes all his buttons, which no one has ever done before. He is Broddy, angry, and handsome.
If you like dark reads and Mc, this is for you. I highly recommend this. Misty Walker takes us on a dark, twisted ride, and I didn't want to get off. I loved all the characters in this book and hope Roch gets a book; I would love to read his story.
Birdie's Biker is a dark, delicious, and dirty story sure to rev your engine and take you for a wild ride! I gobbled up this delicious story in one sitting! Loki is a bad boy biker who stands down to no one...except maybe a pretty little Birdie who gives him a run for his money! This is an intense, sexy, action-packed story that'll set your kindle on fire! - Five LOKI IS DADDY Stars!!
I promised myself I would read books til the end. And I did.. did it get better.. meh not for me.
When you meet Bridgette shes like every rich spoiled girl. But then again when your father just tosses money at the problem you turn into one. And her dad is in trouble so he hires Loki and his biker club for an extra 20k to take care of his daughter.. you would think they would treat her somewhat good? They treated her like a prisoners then guest.. At first its a rocky start since both sorta hate eachother. She doesn't wanna be there and Loki hates babysitting he rather be sleeping around or club bussiness. Some very hated tension between them but still hate..i really got annoyed with the Bitch name..he did call the Bridgette bitch 😒 even in Biker world I hate it.
It was pretty slowburn with these two and more drama between them. Since he has to keep her safe and she just doesn't (at the moment she loves it later) wanna be in a cage. I did like Birdie alittle turned from a spoiled girl to a scrapy and no longer a rich girl was sad she had to go though some painful shit. As for Loki he really wasn't my fave like at all.. even if this is a dark MC wish he had more respect and sense in what he was doing few times he acted like well not a 35 year old which annoyed me. And i was disappointed only like tiny tiny daddy kink...
I did give it a lower rating because I did not wanna read op sex stuff and loki had few chapters with ow from the club..did get oral form a club girl and was about to sleep with one when Birdie who was in the Kennel/Cage ruined it for him. Glad that Birdie didn't get off on that so score for that 😀.
Also a trigger warning to some Birdie does get raped we do see a scene she was forced to give a BJ and was meantion she was drugged and raped by bad guy off page.
Low angst, ow/om scenes (club chicks/asshole who raped her), no cheating (when they were together), drama, slight secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal and manwhore
Recommend- ehh if you want Cover-⭐⭐
Slowburn Push away from both Older/younger couple 18h/35H Tiny TINY daddy kink Punishment/discipline Tiny anal play Torture Sexual assault Violence Hea Epilogue

Misty Walker became a go-to author for me earlier this year when I read her Traveler series and now I’ve been stalking her ever since. She has now catapulted her status head first into give me all the words right now!!
Birdie’s Bikers is deliciously sexy, dark and full of grit! I am super stoked with the beginning of this MC series. Misty has a dirty side and I like it :) There’s a whole bunch on adjectives I could use to describe this story but I’m only going to tell you ”this is not your momma’s bedtime story and hope you get the picture. For an MC romance lover like myself, this was gold and I just can’t wait for more!
This book was a good time and a decent start to the series. MC books can be hard for me to connect with but this one did a great job.
There was s compelling plot. A fiesty heroine and a bad ass biker prez. The Biker speak and cliches were kept to a minimum and it made for a quick and sexy tale.
Wow, wow, wow! Misty Walker has outdone herself! With every book, her writing flourishes, and with Birdie's Biker, that's no different. She's taken on a dark story and it's gritty, steamy, and emotional. I fell in love with these characters from the first page and devoured it until I was left wanting so much more.
Walker takes us on a twisted ride into the dark and I couldn't be more in love with this side of her writing. She excelled at getting my heart racing and my Kindle melting all while inhaling every word!
If you like MC, if you like dark reads, then you NEED to grab this one right f*cking now!
Birdie and Loki's story was perfect. It had motorcycle mania and shenanigans, which is my current go to these days. Birdie's Biker gave me all the thrills and chills of a fantastic read. I loved the characters and the drama. I couldn't get enough of the sexy scenes! I highly recommend this book!
Listen... objectively, I understand it. It's a trauma response, it makes her feel safe. I do understand the logic behind it and how we arrived at Birdie wanting to be locked up, but damn, that cage business threw me off. I also found that there was some inconsistencies with Birdie's account of what actually happened to her when she was held captive. It seemed to allude to something different pretty regularly and I had to flick back and forth to try and make sense of what she actually said happened; sometimes she would say she didn't remember, sometimes she did remember but didn't want to speak about it, sometimes she was guessing at what had happened but couldn't say yes or no either way. It was a little bit dizzying. Overall, I neither loved it nor hated it. I didn't enjoy it enough to continue with the series though, so take from that what you will I guess!
'Birdie's Biker' is another Mc novel of the 'Royal Bastards MC' series by multiple authors. This book is by Misty walker.
I have never been a fan of the Daddy kink type books and was grateful , that this book contained that to a minimum. The book was full of twists and turns and I loved the steamy scenes so much!
Loki is the Head of an MC. His life takes a turn when one of his client hires his MC to keep his daughter safe. He dismisses Bridgette as a daddy's spoiled girl . But that changes when he takes a look at her. Her innocence attracts him and he wants her for himself. Still I hated the way he treats her in the starting and it takes time for them both to come to terms with their attraction.
The book had some dark aspects and had me cringing for a while . Still I loved the ending and the overall storyline! A definite recommendation to all the MC Roma lovers. Believe me, you won't regret reading this Dark Romance!
Starting off the series with a bit of a bang here. I actually hella enjoyed this book I read 80% in one go randomly. I started it just to see what would happen and couldn’t stop turning the pages.
This is basically a story about a biker gang that was tasked with the job of keeping someone’s daughter safe. Birdie is 18 and pretty much been sheltered her whole life and a bit naive so going to stay with a biker club was a bit of a shock to her system LMAO
Her and Loki were like fire and ice literally the definition of grumpy/sunshine. She gets on every single one of his nerves and she’s loves to push his buttons. She is a fiery one and I enjoyed watching her grow into and stand on her own.
Not to spoil anything but she faces some crazy battles and it tore me to bits but I appreciated watching her pick up the pieces after. I think this series is going to shed light to things I’ve never known about and I’m excited to continue.
Mega mega TW though there are multiple situations and topics in here that could be triggers so pleas be aware.
Birdie's Biker is Misty's first dark romance story, and OMG, she DID GREAT! It's checks all the boxes of a dark romance book, and I love it. It's edgy, naughty, sizzling and exciting, spiced with humor, ( which for me is an absolut plus) lots of action and interesting characters, which leave you wanting more. Loki and Bridgette are total opposites, come from totally different words. She is the spoiled, rich brat, who doesn't know what to do with her life, while Loki is the bad ass, older biker, who is not afraid to get blood on his hands for the right cause and for the right price. There is want between them, curiosity, but they are like thorns in each others palm. But once they get over their hostility, and give into their desire they totally work, and sparks fly. Loki gives Bridgett the chance to find herself, to discover her strength and blossom, while she teaches him that love is not only about hurt and loss, but it can be also beautiful. I have to say I really love the feisty Bridgette and the lovesick MC Club Prez. lol . I can't wait to see the next chapter in the Royal Bastards Reno chapter's life!
P.S. Misty, I really hope you are giving us more of these guys! Little teaser> "If you pray for a dark angel to save you, does God listen? Or is it the devil I should ask this favor from? " "I thought I needed the loneliness. Needed a tormented soul to make through this life..... That's not how it is, though. She makes me work harder, smarter, safer. .... I need the fire she lights deep inside me. "I've shed those feathers. Now I'm a blackbird. Smart and resilient." "I'm happy to keep you in your cage for as long as you want. But I'll never clip your feathers, Birdie."
Bridgette Davis has been raised in very wealthy world but that’s about to be threatened. When trouble brews at home, Bridgette will find a new “babysitter” by the name of Loki. Loki is the president of the Royal Bastards MC, Reno Chapter. For the right price they will make your problems go poof. This new job though might be more then Loki bargained for. How will this spoiled brat and tough biker get along? “Your daddy doesn’t exist in your world anymore, little birdie. I’m your daddy now and this is your home.” Oh boy!! Can he keep her safe while keeping his temper in check? This isn’t your sweet MC romance, on no...this is your violent and raw MC romance so be warned. Loki is in charge and will go toe to toe with one spoiled little girl. If you like you MC romance graphic then you are gonna love this one. Told in dual POV

I really enjoyed this intense and gritty read. Birdie/Bridgette and Loki's tale is not really for the faint of heart because this is a dark romance and as such, it does contain content that might not appeal to every reader or be triggers for others. So please, keep that in mind before deciding to read this book. I grew to like these two as a couple but admit I had a rocky start with them because originally I wasn't liking them too much. However, as you learn more about these characters, the story unfolds, their characters evolve and their relationship deepens I found it much easier to connect with them. This book has a well written storyline that works hard at grabbing and keeping your attention focused and it totally succeeds at its job. Packed with violence, action, danger, drama, raw emotion, steam, kink and touches of sweetness and humor, this well crafted book was really quite enticing. A stellar cast of secondary characters provides so many opportunities for more compelling reads to look forward to in this series. This is my independent, impartial review.
So, another RBMC book. It has some crossover with another chapter, one we've seen before, but not a whole lot. Three of the characters just come visit for a minute.
We have Bridgette, who is the quintessential rich girl, raised to be ornamental, but then her father needs to keep her safe, so she goes with Loki, who isn't a good guy at all, at all. He's the President of the Reno chapter of the RBMC, and he likes to kill people. So, giving him an 18 year old spoiled rich girl to watch is probably not the best thing ever.
I like Bridgette, AKA Birdie. I like her spunk and her spirit. We started to see it before anything happened at all with Loki, before she even knew that he was a thing in her world. I like how she wanted to break out of her world.
Loki is a dillhole. And that is putting it nicely. Even when he's being nice, he's still a dillhole, just less of one. I think that he's good for Birdie though, and I know what she's good for him.
There are some dark parts to this book, and it can get really intense at times, but overall, I really liked it.
Biker . . . Age gap . . . Angst . . . Triggers . . . This book has it all! And its woven together so perfectly that you can not put it down! You read each page wanting more and more! There are so many feels from this MC book, not the typical MC either. . . And thats what makes it so freaking good!
From the very first chapter you get sucked into this Royal Bastards MC life and how they do business. Then you meet the next job . . . And it all starts to change.
There's a naive little spoiled princess and then there's this ruthless biker . . . And you can't even imagine how the story goes! Definitely not how you expect it too . . . So the only way to know, is to buy this book and read it! Its amaze-balls! You will not want to stop once you have started!
P.S. Loki is mine . . . Go find yourself another Royal Bastard.
I love me a good badass MC romance!! And this one did not disappoint!
This story was raw, gritty and dirty in all the best ways possible.
Loki was an alphamale through and through but once you got past the rough exterior he had a heart of gold even though he would never show it to just anyone.
Birdie was a firecracker, naive and aloof in the beginning but she grew into herself. When push came to shove she rolled with the punches and came out on top.
Their relationship was pure static electricity. No complaints there. So if you want a good suspenseful ride with some drooling on the side, this one if for you!
I fell in love with this MC world in Reno and hope we get to see more characters that were introduced!
The second I saw that Misty was writing an MC book I was counting down until I got that bad boy in my hands. And boy, did she deliver! The world building in this book was done so well with each of these characters. I was falling for each member of this Reno chapter of the Royal Bastards one after the other. In fact, at one point I'm pretty sure I wanted to see Birdie with more than just her biker. Like with most MC books there was brotherhood and sacrifice, blood and violence, sex and retribution. But this story also had heart and emotion I wasn't expecting to find either. Not much taps into my heart more than a big, burly, crass biker than seeing him be vulnerable for a minute and show that he cares. Well done, Misty! This book was awesome!
Y'all..ever since Misty said she would be writing an MC book...I was all over that..it's one of my very favorite genre's!!! I have been sooo patiently waiting for this book to go live!
I.WAS.IN.HEAVEN!!!
So let me tell ya...she did an awesome job with it...like I never would have known this was her first if I wasn't such a stalker/reader of her books!! Lol
Holy Biker book to beat all other biker books. This sexy, suspenseful book was a rollercoaster I didn't want to get off of- absolutely loved the chemistry, the danger, the suspense, and the explosive story dynamics. Misty Walker hit a home run with this story that will keep you reeling once you finish.
Absolutely loved this one! It’s my first read from this author & I thought it was fantastic. Plenty of gritty MC action, awesome group of characters, chemistry for days & a delicious dash of kink that was spot on. Can’t wait for more stories from this series. Roch especially has me intrigued. Definitely recommend.
Gah!!! I am loving Misty Walker! I discovered her through author K. Webster and read Kian’s Focus and seriously fell in love with Misty’s writing. I figured I had to start her Royal Bastards books and omg.. her dark ass side came out to play in Birdies Biker.
Privileged, innocent, and coddled girl meets badass brutal (hello age gap) older biker who’s a take no ones shit kinda man.
After a break in and her father almost getting murdered, Bridgettes father hires the local MC to track down the men who broke into his home and shot him, and taking something very important... to “take care of” the bad guys. More importantly they threatened his only child - Bridgette. So he decides the best place for her is at the MC compound for a few days till the threat is gone.
Enter Loki. The MC president. The last thing he wants to deal with is a spoiled brat of a girl but the price her father is giving them, it’s too good to pass up.
Scared, pissed off, and refusing to be treated badly, Bridgette runs. Gets caught. And we enter the cage. Loki locks Bridgette in a cage and hence her nickname, Birdie.
“Your daddy doesn’t exist in your world anymore, little birdie. I’m your daddy now and this is your home.”
This book is HOT. It’s non stop suspense, thrill, and action. I couldn’t stop reading this book.
I love the relationship that builds between Loki and his Birdie. “Fuck, I love our connection. I’m addicted to her. I never want this to end. And maybe if I play my cards right, it doesn’t have to.” Misty Walker KNOWS how to write goooood ass sexy scenes. Side characters are just as lovable as the main characters. And an HEA.
It definitely had different spice that I haven’t seen much and I was here for it. The only reason why this book was 4 instead of 5 stars is because by the end I wasn’t really feeling anything. I did throughout, but the ending was pretty lackluster. Also throughout the story itself I felt like the love was rushed a little. They went from hating each other to getting freaky to oh I think I might love you. Rather quickly might I say. However, this book opened a can of worms, I need to read the rest of them especially Roch’s book mostly because I fell in love with him during this one and I want to be inside his head at the earliest opportunity.
Great MC book! Birdie and Loki are a force that can't be stopped. This book kept me reading well past my bedtime, and that's saying a lot right there. Great writing, loved the RBMC world and the secondary characters were a pleasure as well!
the h is kidnapped, raped and is brutally traumatized by a truly vile villain she hasn't healed by the end of the book
this scenario is entirely new to me:
LAST CHAPTER:
her: “...if you just locked me in there (a kennel) sometimes...Only when things are really bad..”
him: "...I don’t want to be your jailer. I want you to be my partner. My ride or die...”
her: “Most of the time, I can be that. But sometimes I just feel so out of control. When I’m in there, when I know no one can get to me unless they go through you, I feel safe..."
him: "Part of me wants to drop her off in inpatient therapy...” “...skittish, traumatized girl I don’t know how to fix. Maybe she’d be better off with her dad. He could get her the help she needs...”
her: “I’m full-on excited. Like a child standing outside the gates of Disneyland” “By the time we park, I’m almost bouncing in my seat” "The second I step through the door to the hastily welded together metal, my heart slows and tranquility washes over me.”
now, this hero is cray cray so for him to think she might be better off with her father is saying a lot, especially at this point in the book
THE EPILOGUE:
he walks into their home: his pov: There’s a new piece of furniture in our guest bedroom. Front and center sits a birdcage. Not a normal one, a huge one. Big enough for a person. "This is new,” I say dumbly. What else can I say?
her: “I had it specially made. I love our house. But it was missing something.”
him: “I see that. Does this mean I’m going to have to start locking you up again? I thought you didn’t need it anymore.”
I need to Google this sometime so that I can better understand the heroine for now, I'll leave it be and hope they find their forever after, if not quite a hea
