King's Undercover Fed

Rate this book
Royal Treatment
Aaron “King” Arthur dedicated his life to the Kings of Men MC. He created a brotherhood and promised a safe haven for his club brothers. When one of his men comes to King with news that the feds are planting an undercover agent in the club, King decides to play a game of chicken with their little rat. King pushes at the agent’s personal boundaries, using sex as a carefully honed weapon, but doesn’t expect the federal agent to respond so eagerly.

Tool for the Men in Blue
Dallas Mickelson spent so many years undercover with motorcycle clubs that he’s starting to lose his real identity. When he’s sent to pose as a prospect by the name of Austin Smith in the Kings of Men MC, he doesn’t expect to enjoy the thrill of being one of the boys. The infamous King isn’t what Dallas imagines, and he makes Dallas’s body react in ways he’s never felt before.

Deadly Games Become More
King has his own set of problems outside of this unpredictable fed, from past secrets coming to light, to his fortieth birthday quickly approaching. The last thing he needs is to feel emotions he’s never experienced before, especially for someone who could bring down the illegal empire he’s worked so hard to build. Dallas has a job he’s expected to finish, but he’s not so sure he wants to do it anymore, and the decisions he makes can shape everyone’s future—for better or worse.

4** stars —haha, confused?

Cashing in one star of my rating for not addressing the topic of safe sex at any point and barebacking right away.

Cashing in another one for the following statement to boot the first one: “Have fun, use protection.” I backed away with a shrug. “Nah, protection is boring.” I winked at him before I spun on my heel, ...

Funny thing is, that fatal statement occurred at 98% (!!) of the book. So the author basically had a sure 3 stars from me up until then. So so close! 🤣

Anyway… about this book:

The Kings of Men MC’s prez and a federal agent —if that isn’t a conflict of interest of the most delicious variety!!

“Who fucking cares what you promised. You’re a fucking liar, Dallas, and we both know it.”

What I found pretty cool (and is in similar plots handled differently by the authors) was that King new from the very beginning the new prospect for his club was an undercover fed. So it was more like a juicy game of cat and mouse in the first half. I loved it.

“You’re mine now, Dallas. I don’t give a flying fuck what you think about your job, our club, or anything else. You belong to me.”

But honestly tho, the plot is flimsy at best and the characters rather shallowly painted. But I didn’t mind it all that much and simply enjoyed the tension and hotness of the story and the romance.

“You don’t even like bikes,”
“Teach me to love them, Aaron.”

So yeah, I liked the story despite me rating this so low; the whole MC trope was nicely written and I can see myself coming back for more books in the series.

This series has been hit and miss for me so I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed this one as much as I did. I think it’s the best book so far.

King has been a bit of an enigma. He’s come across a certain way and it was good to see how different he was when seen from his own perspective and I appreciated how when he was in...he was all in.

I always wondered who would be the one to tame King and I wasn’t disappointed with the answer. I really enjoyed the dynamic between these two men. They were both strong men who found something in the other that went so deep it cut through the bullshit and the lies that threatened to tear them (And the MC) apart. I liked them together. The start to their relationship was full of imbalance, due to Dallas being an undercover fed, but they really do compliment each other and give the other something they need. I wish we’d gotten more than just the glimpse of Dallas’s submissive side, as that was really intriguing. I loved those sweet moments of him on his knees and Kings hand in his hair. I wanted more.

I also appreciated that the drama wasn’t drawn out or OTT. No spoilers!!!! Things happen here, violence and torture have made up a certain part of this series but when the shit hit the fan the response here was measured and appropriate- yet still gruesome enough to the realistic nature of men in an outlaw MC. These men hug their lovers, not their enemies. Their enemies get bloody.

I do think a few things could have been explored in more detail but ultimately this all this was a really satisfying MC romance. I wouldn’t recommend it as a stand-alone as there are several plots being weaved throughout the series and many characters you should really understand the motivations of before going in to this.

I’ll definitely reread this again at some point.

Hello, New Gothenburg!

A big thank-you to everyone reading this series. I happen to love King unreasonably, and I was so excited to write his book with M.D. that I could barely stand it. We had a great adventure in this book, and we're moving along, building this world, and we have more stories to come!

For anyone who is curious, M.D. wrote King and I wrote Dallas. :) For more tidbits and other random book fun, please visit M.D. and me at our Facebook group, Gregory and Brightly's Company of Kings.

This might just be my new favourite of the series!

I loved how we got to see a "softer" side of King. I also liked Dallas a lot and liked his dynamic with King especially given how unconventional the relationship began.

Of course, this book had the violence and crime as is to be expected with this series but it went so well with the writing and the mood I'm in right now that I finished this in one setting.

I hope there are more books coming because I am not ready to be done with New Gothenburg!!

I really wanted to love this book and the first half was a solid 4. But like almost all of the other books in this series, something always happens in the second half...it’s like the first half is written by one author and the second half is written by an author that has no emotional connection to the first half of the book.

The first half was thoughtful, methodical, had a solid build up.

The second half was a train wreck - throwing in everything but the kitchen sink from a plot perspective.

King was…well, King.

I’ve always had this view of King as a gross kind of man. Sticking it wherever it’s warm. Being lewd and gross all the time. Drunk almost always. The first chapter of this book did nothing to dissuade that notion. He was just nasty, and not in the good way. The picture the authors have for him on their website just didn’t mesh with the character I was presented with. Frankly, King kind of grossed me out. And while several things through the book were meant to change my opinion of him, I can’t say that my impression is all that different now that I’ve finished the book.

Dallas, AKA Austin, is an undercover Fed sent in to take the Kings down. Dallas comes with this reputation of competence from taking down another MC a few years before. For real though, Dallas kind of came off as the most incompetant undercover guy ever. He took down an MC after being deep undercover and now he’s trying to do it again and he can’t ride a motorcycle very well? King has to give him pointers? That seems like a glaring hole in his cover story. Like, a hole that could get him killed if he isn’t careful.

But I have to say, even with my issues with the two main MCs, I still liked the book. It was full of great interations with the other members of the MC, a story line that kept me interested and some scorching hot encounters between King and Dallas. Even with King being as grody as he was, I liked him with Dallas a whole lot. King’s personality didn’t suddenly change just because Dallas was around. He was still a pretty big jerk most of the time. Even after what Undertaker does to Dallas, King kind of just lets it roll off his back. There are no big declarations of love between King and Dallas and I LOVED that. These two didn’t truly know one another beyond basic information and a need to bang each other. So I liked that we didn’t have any grand declarations, even though this was most definitely a love story. It just seemed more real in that way.

I hope we get more stories with the Kings of Men. I find them interesting and not having to play by the normal rules makes the possibilities endless.

I was so hyped to read King's story. Everyone around him getting their stories and King really needed someone in his life...even though its a cop/fed. It didn't take long for Austin/Dallas to fall for King's charisma and catch feelings. Their romance was rocky at best and I wasn't sure if any kind match between would come about but when Dallas showed how committed he was in that biker fight, I knew then that the tide had turn in Dallas favor. It took the fellas a while longer to warm up to Dallas but he eventually won them over. I loved the fact that both fellas are trying to figure out their relationship...not falling head over heels in love but they do have that passionate "ride or die" got your back kind of love that only bikers(Kings of Men)can have. I really enjoyed this story from start to end and I must say that who ever idea it was to put in that stripper scene with Dallas made my day...hilarious entertainment...LOL

Dallas/Austin is an undercover ATF agent trying to send all the New Gothenburg MCs in prison.
Knowing the truth, King lets Austin be a prospect to keep an eye on him.
King likes to tease the 'straight' agent but they catch feelings real fast. They have great chemistry and are really good for each other.
Austin feels like he finally found his place but what will happen when Austin's real identity is revealed? Who will Austin stay loyal to?

Wow so loved this story about Dallas who is deep undercover in The Kings MC. Though King (the president of the Kings) initially is quite hard on Dallas just to mess around with his mindset Dallas feels an immediate attraction to King. Dallas feels more caring and belonging from the Kings than he ever has in the police force. They may be criminals but they are a brotherhood. One Dallas would very much like to be a member of.

I still REALLY REALLY WANT a queer MC series about The Harlots!!!!!! I want a sapphic MC series so bad!

Anyway, onto the book I actually read.

King is the president of the titular series club. He’s just about 40. He’s impulsive and likes control and drinks too much. He loves his brother Grant more than anything and also his sons. He has way too much fun with the hot undercover ATF agent in his club.

Dallas is 35-ish, assuming he graduated college at 22. The book says he “Graduated MIT. Boston PD 2 years. Worked organized crime 5 years. ATF 6 years to current.” He’s undercover in the club. There’s a lot of UST between him and King. He struggled with his sense of duty to his job and his growing attraction to King and growing affection for the guys in the MC club.

I just ADORE that the drama in this series and in this book is NOT any kind of queerphobia! Dallas is gay and no one cares. King is bi and no one cares. There are a lot of other problems but that’s not one of them. It makes me very happy!

Aw, Reaper’s proposal to Grant at the end was so cute! Even if it was in the middle of Aaron’s big birthday bash.

The euphemisms and similes, as usual, weren’t the most appealing and were possibly too frequent (referring to a penis as a “lump of meat at his crotch” was hilarious but not that sexy, like it was presumably meant to be, though I guess I prefer that to “love stick” I guess, which was not used here). Sometimes there were parts where you couldn’t figure out where someone was in space, like King was in his phone in a house and the next sentence he was starting his motorcycle outside, or King had both hands on Dallas’s waist but was also kneading his neck.

I actually adored the relationship between King and Dallas! “I enjoyed taking care of people I cared about, but Dallas didn’t need my protection. He was strong in his own right, a man who’d taken down one of the meanest clubs in the US.” I loved that the two of them like taking care of and watching out for the other (in their own weird ways sometimes) but they don’t HAVE to. I also loved that they were mostly equal in craziness (King definitely more so but Dallas is no normal dude), which helps them be a good match. They’re different kinds of crazy I guess, but it works so well together! They’ve usurped Grant and Reaper as my favorites!

It was also fun to see some of the other guys again. Grant and Reaper are my second favorite couple, so I enjoyed seeing some of them here! Tim is terrifying but it’s sweet how much he and Lee work together (scary but sweet).

I was thrilled that the book didn’t end

Despite some of the issues, I had a blast with this book! I adored Dallas and I was surprised by how much I liked King! They were a dynamite couple for me!

I am loving this series more and more with each book. The characters are memorable and intriguing, and I can't get enough of them. I'm still so ticked off at Timmy boy taking matters into his own hands. Who died and left him boss!!?? NO ONE, so back off Timmy! His actions were rash, harsh and above HIS paygrade. How would he feel if that happened to his big pet Lee?? Not so hot, right? He had no idea where King was, and he acted out like a spoiled child with a tantrum. I liked Tim better in the previous book. He was always just on the edge with his psycho personality, but I hoped Lee would stabilize his crazy. Tim could be a danger to other club members, since he doesn't have respect to wait and see about King. He harmed the Prez's property!! That's a big NO NO!!! He could have just held Dallas confined until King reappeared. Instead , he goes rogue and takes some club members along with his crazy. Dallas's family was a huge disappointment. They acted so immature by running away and jumping to wrong conclusions without any input. They judged by what they thought they saw-biases!! They'll need a lot of redemption along with Timothy!!! So many
incongruous moments I cherished- Reaper asking King for Grant's hand , Forrest saying dad, King's birthday dance, Reaper's actual proposal. I never want to leave this town or these men.

Wooohoooo I was on the edge of my seat
Aaron “King” Arthur dedicated his life to the Kings of Men MC. And nothing matter more to him than his MC Family. So when he finds out there is a undercover FED in his Club he knows he has to play his hand close to his chest. It did help that he was a good looking man and he was going to make him know his place.
Dallas Mickelson AKA Austin Smith was getting fed up of going undercover but after the success of taking down a big biker club before he thought he knew what he was walking into. He couldnt of been more wrong. He knew the second he met King there was an attraction there but he never imagined that King would keep him so close to him.
Could Dallas take down this club or would he find the family he was looking for??
I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through this book you never knew when King was going to turn on Austin. Their chemistry was super hot and when King would torment Austin I just didnt know where to look, It made my heart beat so fast. There is so much more going on in this book and cant wait for Hunters Book. A Brilliant read I cant wait for the next book!!

Aaron Arther know as the King hes the Pez of the Kings of Men MC is living life full throttle and burning his candle out with to much of everything his own brother Grant is worried. Then a distraction he never saw coming wants to prospect for him this normal wouldn't be a problem but this prospect is a Fed. Dallas aka Austin is in New Gatlinburg undercover the local PD hates him King the Prez is either messing with him or finding new ways to torture him as a prospect and he hasn't found out anything and he's starting to wonder if he wants too. King has him wound tight then they can't deny there attraction all crap hits the fan and his cover is blown can he and King make things work when his club brothers want him dead. Even the locals want to get him and his boss isn't happy about things either. Liked the book King is something else and Dallas well its a good thing he made a career switch he was just and okay Fed. Having never read the series before I was afraid I wouldn't be able to follow the story line but it can be read as a standalone and I would recommend this book.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

Aaron “King” Arthur was president of the Kings of Men MC. When he is told the feds planted an undercover agent in the MC, King decides to mess around with his head by pushing the agent’s personal sexual boundaries and making him uncomfortable. Dallas Mickelson (infiltrating the MC as “Austin Smith”) is surprised by King who is not what Dallas had expected, especially when he makes Dallas’s body respond in ways he had never experienced before! Dallas feels the immediate attraction to King. He is also immensely attracted to the true sense of brotherhood he can feel in the MC, far stronger than what the police force ever generated, and he actually wants to be part of that.

This story was very well done as the reader explores the growing relationship of King and Dallas that becomes more real than it was originally meant! With Dallas not wanting to continue his undercover assignment, everything changes. Will the others believe his change is real and accept him into their club? Will King and Dallas further explore the possibilities and find a HEA?

Perfection

If you have taken the same journey with the King of Men Motorcycle Club that I have you will not be disappointed at all. To see the heart of the infamous King himself layed out for us to see clearly is definitely a treat. Him having a good heart was never in question, him trusting someone other then our sweetheart Grant with it was. The raw emotions M.D. Gregory and Kika Brightly are always portraying are exemplary. Each book gets better and better with the exposure into the human psyche. It reminds us that most of life reside in the gray area of good or bad, right or wrong, etc. There's never a clear answer without knowing what is unseeable. You will definitely want more of the action, drama, comedy and brotherhood that is laced throughout this series. I can't wait to read more about our other members and watch them bring more love and joy into their inner circle.

What are you waiting for? Hit the buy now button and enjoy your new book.

I'm reviewing the audio edition. I found this a good story. Aaron (King) spent his life looking after others. When one of his brothers comes and tells him the feds are planning on sneaking in an agent King decides to have a little fun with him. The trouble starts when King is attracted to the agent Dallas.

Dallas is burned out. He expects this job to be an easy in and done but when he gets this attraction to King things change. This is more romance then mc overall. A sort of mix of emotion and sort of funny to have these two strong men behaving so. I enjoyed the story. I really enjoyed when the two are faced with Dallas's relatives. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and I found maybe Andrew Ladd either has too growly a voice or he tried too hard to sound like a mc and it took away a little for me. Overall I think a person should listen to a sample of the book and if they don't feel distracted as I did the story is entertaining.

Lots of hot sex, bikes and cops.

The Kings, a motorcycle club run by Aaron (King) Arthur, along with his fellow men and his 2 children, not that they knew they were Kings kids.

Dallas Mickleson, undercover FED using the name Austin Smith. Years of being undercover had left him needing a family, but not a regular family, he has that. He never felt he belonged either as a cop or a FED.

What a great book, loved the dynamics between the two main characters. The main outcome was not expected, but I won't spoil it for you, you need to read the book yourself.

It has bikers, fights, grown-up children, prostitutes, cops, and lots of hot sex, what's not to like.

Loved it, is that enough...seriously this book was brilliant. I loved the characters and the story. This is the sixth book in the series, but the first that I have read. I fully believe this can be read as a standalone, as I didn't feel lost. The author always gave a little insight into the characters throughout the story, so that probably helped. I really enjoyed the authors writing style, and I will definitely be going back to read books 1-5 in the series - then I will read this one again, you know for consistency!

From the start I was rooting for this duo. The connection was there, but the morals of the characters were the real story and test for me. Loved each and every character, whether they were good or bad, they made the story really addictive. Great introduction to this author.

Even the mighty falls

So it's finally time for King to get a man of his own.
He's been seeing the men in the club finding someone special one after one and when men like Reaper, Scar and Undertaker can find someone he wants someone himself. He just didn't think he would come in the form of an undercover agent.

Dallas is infiltrating The Kings of Men as a prospect but what he doesn't know is that the big, hot Preston the club knows who he really is right from the start. He takes every chore and punishment but instead of gathering information he slowly begins to like the brotherhood of the club and his feelings towards King are getting very confused.

Great to see all the men from the other books and se how buried secrets comes out in the open. King and Dallas are a great couple and I really enjoyed this book.

This is the sixth book in the series. It a little harder to start to read it in the middle of the series but I pushed through and it was a great book to read. Aaron King Arthur is the head of the Kings of Men Motorcycle Club and his word is law. ATF agent Dallas Mickelson has come to town to help the local Police Department put an end to the Motorcycle Clubs and clean up the town. Dallas gets an in with the Kings of Men MC and he will be a prospect and infultrate the club and try to shut it down from the inside. The more time Dallas and King spend ogether the closer they get. While out on a date King gets arrested. Will King let Dallas back in after his cover is blown??? Will Dallas want to continue to the the Feds or will he stand by King????.

Oh boy, I was tense reading this. My entire body was strung tight, I kept realising I was clenching my teeth with anxiety. It was a ride and a half that’s for sure.

I was pretty wary of the concept because I knew, from earlier books, that Aaron King is not a man to mess with. Dallas being the undercover cop trying to bust the Kings from the inside, just sounded like a recipe for utter disaster and it fucking was. In the best ways. The twists and turns really had me on edge and in my opinion, we’re pretty unpredictable.

I felt so much rage towards Dallas’ coworkers, oh boy, did the authors do a good job of painting the villains.

If I had to summarise this book, I’d say it’s red hot, both sexually charged but also with rage, anger and betrayal. It gave me ALLLLL the feelings.

You've done it again and again and again

These books keep getting better and better with each one I read. Never in a million years would I believe an ATF agent would become a King let alone the boyfriend of the president of the Kings but you made it believable. I love how this series is ongoing yet separate with each member getting their own book but the NGPD is still trying to take them down plus the feud between the Kings, Demons and Warriors. I could read this series forever and as I've mentioned in the group, these are the hottest covers on Facebook right now hands down. The fact that this series and the Killough series intermingle is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this series and the Killough series. On to the next book.

King's Undercover Fed is book 6 in The Kings of Men MC series. I love this book and this series just gets better and better. I love how King does what he wants and worries about the consequences afterwards. Dallas didn't go into his current undercover position thinking he'd find a man for himself but that's what ended up happening. And no matter how King played with him Dallas didn't give up. He took whatever King gave him. King finally found someone for himself even though he knew who Dallas was from the moment he wanted the join The Kings of Men. I loved watching King and Dallas interact with each other. I definitely recommend this book and series and can't wait for more.

Power of the King of he Kings of Men

What an explosive story for King to find his significant other, Dallas! There is so much heat, intense power dynamics, resilience and deep attractiveness and affection between King and Dallas. There is also a lot of family reunion, love, trust, loyalty among the bigger family of Kings of men. This series keeps getting exciting, intensified in its story line with deeper development in the portrait of relationships among these characters who are rough and hard outside but deeply loyal, passionate and loving. A celebration of family values and love. Can’t wait to read the next book!

I have read several of this author's book and enjoyed them. They are gritty and they take you places that are off the grid generally. This one is no different but it is even better. There is King who is president of the Kings of Men MC and Dallas who is the undercover agent sent in to infiltrate. They both come in expecting that they are playing the game one way and each has his agenda flip as they get involved with one another and their relationship moves them to see things in a way that they did not anticipate. I enjoyed the twists in this one and won't spoil them but this one was so good.

This is a gripping, suspenseful, steamy and intense story. It's intriguing storyline is full of twists and surprises. I did find it a little hard to believe that Dallas would actually go along with some of King's kinks so easily, especially after King admitted that he knew what Dallas was. King is a hard man who isn't afraid to take his enemies on, but he has a heart of gold, even if it's a bit twisted. Dallas is a man who is burnt out, unhappy and lonely. From the minute they meet there's something between them, something neither understands, but can't let go of. This can be read as a standalone, but is less distracting if you've read the series, but either way, it's a great read.

Another good read

King and Dallas was an interesting story as you never knew how they could work out. Didn’t like how easy King brushed off what Tim did to Dallas and Dallas was like all good I will live with it hmmmm.
Whats with King and Undertakers relationship, I think we need the run down on that because its written like they are in love and should be together.
I liked the ending as even though these are rough and bad men, they are human too with needs and wants like everyone else and these stories really show the human side as much as the bad side.
Great work keep writing

I loved this book. Aaron Arthur (King) is the president of the Kings of Men MC. He created a safe place for his club family. King faces many obstacles and doesn't need a Undercover Fed to ruin all he's worked for. King pushes Austin Smith to his limits but he doesn't crack. King plays a deadly game of cat and mouse. Dallas Mickelson has spent many years as a undercover taking down motorcycle clubs like the Kings of Men MC. Dallas is sent in as a prospect but never expects to feel at home there. Dallas feels like he's loosing himself to Kings charms. Will Dallas turn on the Kings or will he choose to protect them? Will Dallas choose King?
