*****2021 EMMA Award Winner for BEST CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE******A ten-year-old running for her life climbed into the back of Mr. Exit’s shop. She had one request, help me save my mothers. Operating solely on the intel of the kid, he stages a rescue operation. Mr. Exit stopped worrying about all the things leaving his life and began to concentrate on three people who entered his world with a bang. He placed a call to the Archangel, Gabriel Neary, who liked Mr. Exit a great deal. He was a smart man. A learned man. He wasn’t a thug with a rifle who liked to shoot stuff or a paid sociopath who liked to kill more than just bunny rabbits.Gabriel Neary appreciated a man of intelligence. “There are five archangels in the Bible,” Gabriel Neary said. “The most well-known ones are Gabriel and Micheal. There are also Uriel, Joel, and of course Raphael. Sometimes we get to choose. Other times we are chosen. The question for you, Mr. Exit, did you choose, or were you chosen?” At this point, he wasn’t certain.

I think this is one of my favorites in this series! Raphael and Willow work well together. And the children are an added bonus. They were lucky he happened along to save them from a life of HORROR! And it was nice to catch up with the rest of the CREW and their families. KUDOS Olivia Gaines!

An extraordinary story that intersects with many other familiar characters. The romance and compassion Raphael and Willow had for each other was delightful. Although all the characters had something substantial to contribute, my favorite by far was Karli who made multiple scenes laugh-out-loud funny.

Utterly hilarious and serious

I laughed out loud and hard. Miss Karli stole every scene she was in. She tamed Exit with her eyes and wisdom, stood her ground, and was not anyone's pushover. Mr. Exit was bowled over by three beauties. All three were different in their own ways. Karli, an old soul, Dusty Rose, an emerging teenager, and Willow their mom who needed and wanted love from Exit, whom she saw straight through. She was smart, talented and an asset to him. He saved them from a fate worse than death, and loved them even when he didn't believe he had the capacity to. I laughed out loud and hard at Karli, a precocious little girl with the mind of an old black woman. She got everybody straight and on the same page. I felt like I needed to be around her and her unicorns. This book was so very good. I can't say enough about it. It's an absolute must read.

I really enjoyed this book. It's stories like this that have to be told. Cults, kidnapping, injustices against women happen every day. Now to ten year old Karli, that little woman is a trip. She was very instrumental in the story-line and I hope to read more from her. Mr. Exit is a good man who does what he has to do to protect his pseudo family. The book has a great character interaction, intrigue, romance, danger and comedy rolled into one. I look forward to reading the other books in this series. I highly recommend you picking this up and adding it to your library.

"A Charge To Keep I have"
Raphael Ian Hoyt, a.k.a. Mr. Exit was that take charge kind of man. By his given name Raphael, he was an Archangel too that was assigned to healing and protecting human bodies. Little 10-year-old Karli Jebson just stole his heart within minutes of his rescuing her. She was wise beyond her years. He swore that she must have been a 60-year-old woman trapped in a 10-year-old's body. He would do anything for her, including rescuing her mothers from the commune in Kentucky. That was a reconning that changed his entire life. Not only was he their mental healer and physical protector, but he also got an instant family and was fast falling for Karli's mother. Willow Palm Rayne was also a woman with acute insight who taught her daughters of the heart very well and knew that Mr. Exit was sent to them from divine order. She was determined to make sure that she and her daughters gave him no reason to abandon them and take care of him she did. They all craved a normal safe life.

I just love this story. I think it is the best one of the Blind series. If I could give it ten stars I would. Only Olivia and take a story about a clandestine assassin group, communes, and human trafficking, and a psychotic stalker and turn in into an almost comedy, in appropriate places, of course. I swear that woman has a true art with words. She had me laughing throughout the entire book. I could not put it down, nor did I want it to end. That darn Karli was such a loveable character. Dusty Rose was learning to become a normal teenager under Raphael and Willow's care. Willow, for the first time in a very long time, was falling in love, but she wanted Raphael to love her too.

It was also great to read about the backgrounds of the other agents of the Southeastern Construction Crew and their wives. It's amazing that all of their wives came from similar backgrounds, and none of the men were looking for wives at the time of their meeting, but the Archangel, Gabriel Neary made sure, they all did right by them. I can't wait to read about Mr. Merge in "Blind Turn."

A continuation of a really great series!

Another thing I love about Olivia Gaines ' series is that you get the first chapter of the next book in the one you are currently reading except for this one! The next installment was given slightly differently but having read her other stories you know she is giving you a glimpse of more great reading pleasure to come. I absolutely fell in love with Karli. To hear her talk and the wisdom she imparts it is easy to believe she is an elderly Black woman trapped in a ten year old body. I like Mr. Exit and his sense of fair play and his innate sense of love and protection of women and girls. His big ole heart made him follow to the letter the instructions of a precocious ten year old girl who escaped from one of the compound handlers who was taking her to date night with a grown behind man. I love how he, the mother and both children jelled as a family and how quickly they each became a part of each other's lives. As usual this was an excellent read chocked full of laughter, drama, suspense and intrigue. I can hardly wait for Blind Turn when it is released. Thank you Olivia for another full day of reading bliss.

4.5 stars for me!!! I enjoyed this story so much. Little Miss Karli needs her butt beat. Lol She is such an adorable character. What ten year old holds a trust circle in the middle of a wedding and blasts her mother out in front of a room full of assassins and their wives? This kid was running things. She definitely had Mr. Exit wrapped around her little finger. Just one look and he gave her whatever she asked for.

Mr. Exit was a dreamboat. The man may have been an expert killer, but he was a good man and an excellent father to those girls. He just accepted their role of Daddy at Karli’s demand. When she instructed him that he needed to get used to her calling him daddy and then demanded a cute nickname I was done. So was he because he fell hard for that little feisty child.

This was one of my faves in the series. It would have been 5 star but the ending left me wanting. I need to know what Glitter Man is up to and what is going on with Wring Way.

This was a lot of fun to read even while touching on some heavy topics. The characters of Mr. Exit, Willow, Dusty and of course Karli are a delight. Willow isn't as developed a character as the girls are which shows up in redundant dialog with Exit and continuity. We also get to see almost everyone from previous books along with an intro to a new character, you know how she does it, along with some name dropping. Our villain from book four is back and still deranged. He's a wild card with multiple connections to the team and easily put down if they weren't distracted by other things.

I laughed out loud during my reading of this story with how likable the characters are kept me going. It's a romance first and a mystery somewhere down the line so I won't fault it for that whole resort thing.

Signs and more Signs

I really liked Mr Exit. This surprised me because of the way he had been talked about in such negative manner.
He and Willow are perfect together. And Lord, that little Angel Karli, she truly is a 60 year old woman in a 10 year old's body.
I'm still confused with some of the storylines. We love all the Technicians, so far, I'm praying that Wrong Way will come back. I love The Mann, Stop, and Yield. But I'm confused as to whether Tami is crazy as a lion or working his way back into the Company .
Poor Me Exit and having to deal with all This Female Drama. He is hilarious with his lists and his self-talk, especially when he was trying to come to terms with Jamal and Skylar and his daughters Marlo and Dusty Rose.
Also, now there is Mr Merge, I like him already, just have a wait a bit.

Well Ok!!

Sooo ...the overall premise although cringeworthy really hits home as the exploitation and abuse hit on in the book is most appallingly real. The Technicians' are quite the group.
Raphael seems the most layered one and really grabbed my attention. As for Willow, Dusty Rose and Karli...well I'm grateful for them being rescued, I wasn't too enamored of them. Karli & Dusty just a lil too mouthy and inappropriate to boot. Grew tired of Willow and her thirstiness. The sex scenes..ugh...Willow's objections at the wedding came off as flaky and snotty!
The saving Grace is the more in depth look into the lives of the technicians and background of The Company. Its confusing trying to keep track of who is who so I'm going to have to re-read those parts to fully get it.
Good tension throughout and yes to my chagrin the Glitter Man is back. Well..onto #6

Loved It

Loved the character of Mr Exit and his ready made family. I liked Willow at first, but then I found myself not liking her because at the wedding she decided to question Mr Exit’s motives. That didn’t sit well with me. Now on to Karli, yes she has a old soul, but this thing she has for Jamal. It was too much for me. I wouldn’t want my 10 year old talking about having a man at her age. As you can see, I really got into this book. Olivia’s books are so good because they have meaning. It’s not about this person immediately jumping into bed for meaningless sex, there is always a relationship built first. Your going to love the technicians. All of their stories have meaning.

Mr. Exit only meant use the restroom at a pit stop, but found himself taking home a stowaway that changes his life forever.

I really shouldn’t like Olivia Gaines’ Happily Ever Afters the way that I do, but she really puts them together. Even the eye rolls are enjoyable.

This is actually my first book in the Technician series, but it seems like some of the characters connect back to The Mail Order Brides series. I love that in a bookverse, so I’ll definitely be sticking with Gaines for a while.

I think Blind Copy works well as a standalone, but it definitely makes you curious about the rest of the series. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone interested.

Another fantastic Technician story

This story is about Technician Mr.Exit (Raphael), Willow and the girls Dusty Rose and Karli.
Exit rescues the women from a cult and his life is never the same. The book will have you laughing out loud especially at life as seen through the eyes of 10 year old Karli she is an old soul , wise beyond her years and hilarious. Willow has to trust her heart to a man she just met but knows deep down is the one.
All of the other Technicians and their wives show up in this book and you are introduced to the next Technician Mr Merge(can't wait)

A Very Good Suspenseful Romantic Comedy

Blind Copy. (The Technicians Series Book 5) is a very good and Suspenseful Romantic Comedy that earned a rating of four stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as Mr. Exit rescued a little girl and her sister and her mother from a horrific life in commune with a sadistic leader. Mr Exit fell in love with the unusual family which he made them his own. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys reading very good romantic comedies.

Great book!

I really enjoyed this book. It was truly amazing. I could not get enough, loved how you were able to meet and begin the journey with Merge. Karli was a force and a old soul. Loved how smart you got to realize Dusty Rose is. Ms. Gaines you really did a great job on this Technicians story. I can not wait for the stories of the other technicians. Mr Glitterman was all over the place, he needs to get his and not in a good way.

A very entertaining story

The characters and the story development was so interesting I couldn't put the book down. Mr Exit is a honourable man, who happens to be an assassin. Karli, Willow Rayne and Dusty Rose, were brilliant characters and I loved their personalities as the story goes on.
I liked this story very much in places I laughed out loud and chuckled through the book.
Brilliantly written story with so much depth and heart.

6 Stars!

First of all I wish I could have given this book 6 stars. It was that good! Raphael was comfortable with the life he led until Karli show up. Bring with her herMommy and sister. No one reacts the normal way. Willow and Mr. Exit took everything in stride. I couldn’t put it down. Karli and Dusty made a strong impression that lighten the story. And Willow provided the depth needed. She was seductive and strong. The twists and turns of this story kept me guessing!

Mr. Exit is sooooooooo sweet yet deadly !

Mr. Exit is my favorite technician, so far. His way of looking at things is hilarious, yet he was perfect for the girls and Willow. The glitter man may become a techie by the last book. He has been showing signs of being more hero the villain, but he is sneaky. I laughed so much with Mr. Exit and Karli you have to put them in more of the Blind books. Great Read Ms. Gaines 😎

Mr. Exit is prefect..almost 50, set in his ways, rough, ready and don't take no mess.

Until Karli (Pooh Bear) shows up and turns his world upside down. She bring along with her Willow Rayne and Dusty Rose...as in a ready made family that Mr. Exit is not wanting.

In less than a month, Mr. Exit sees that his heart is not as dark and love is possible.

Olivia Gaines writes real characters with a flair that reminds of someone you know...in some form or Fashion.

Can I give it 6 1/2 stars?

I love this series! Each book gets better. Great storyline and characters. This one was different as we get to know the Technicians better. It had laugh out loud moments, but Karli's character stole your heart. Excited to read the next book. Thank you Ms. Gaines!

Everyone has a Purpose in Life

Enjoyed Mr. Exit's growth and flexibility in dealing with new situations. Interesting to read about new characters being introduced and accepted into a new family dynamic. Great to experience the growth in the characters. Looking forward to the next Company collaboration. Can't wait for the next book featuring the adventures of Karli!

This series!

I have no idea why this series isn't on everybody's radar but it should be. I have never laughed so hard or cheered harder for a couple. If you haven't already you will definitely fall in love with the characters. Be aware that this is 5th in a series and I strongly urge you to read them in order.

Mr. Exit has become one of my favorite Technicians. He went from a confirmed bachelor living alone to living with three females that all have him firmly wrapped around their fingers in the blink of an eye. Karli had him opening up his heart and wallet with little to no resistance. Quote " Jesus take my wallet" ;-) . This is such an enjoyable book, getting to know Mr. Exit and watching him fall in love with Karli, Dusty Rose and Willow and bringing the Technicians and their wives together. Ms. Gaines you have done it again, another 5-Star book in a great series
