A horror story that will have you leaving the light on at night. In Wraith: Garbageman Book 3, continues where the previous 2 books have left off. While able to read as a standalone, the first book will explain where David’s telekinetic powers come from. In this book, we follow David again as he returns home for a funeral and reconnects with his friends and family. However, the homecoming is somber for more than just the funeral, it seems he and his friends are being hunted. David meets Detective Stanton who is determined to figure out why so many people are suddenly being killed. Together, the two men, along with two other friends start to turn the table on the poltergeist and phantom that is terrorizing the town. Descending into hell to reintern Hellann, David comes face to face with some of his worst fears and must overcome them to survive.
A deliciously horrid story that is worthy of merit and scan be considered on par with the greats, King, Koontz and others. This book showcased the authors writing style, bring horror, paranormal and crime together in a compelling manner. Highly Recommend!

TITLE: Wraith
AUTHOR: Erik Dean
Star Rating: 4.5

‘A fast-paced horror with elements of the paranormal. Superbly written and packed full of twists you won’t see coming!’ A ‘Wishing Shelf’ Book Review

REVIEW
To be honest, horror’s not my thing. I remember, when I first saw the film ‘Jaws’ I couldn’t go in water (even a bathtub) for months. But, then, I was only 12 at the time. And Stephen King’s books do nothing for me. I did read the Rat books by J. Herbert. Now they were good. Gross, yes. But still good. So, I began reading Wraith by Erik Dean with a little trepidation. But, you know what? I loved it. Yes, there are ‘horror’ elements to it, but there’s also paranormal too. And paranormal I like!
So, what’s the story? Basically, the hero (David, who has powers of his own) and his family are being hunted by a ghost. So, with the help of two pals, he must travel down to ‘the lower levels of Hell’ – that’s from the blurb – to stop this evil that’s stalking them. What follows is a superbly written, often gripping adventure that fans of fantasy/horror/adventure books will very much enjoy.
One aspect of this novel which I particularly liked was the how accessible it was. The author is not scared to keep a sentence short and simple where it’s needed, and, by doing so, helping to improve the pacing where speed is needed. There’s no flowery, purple prose here! The author is also confident with speech with plenty of showing and not telling, a good sign of a confident author.
What needs work? Not a lot. The odd sentence is a little clumsy. And, possibly it’s a little slow going at the beginning, but it picks up by chapter three, and it’s ‘ALL GO!’ from there.
Now, this is book 3 of the set. Do you need to pick up book 1 and 2 first? Possibly. But, to be honest, it’s not a ‘must’. I thoroughly enjoyed this 300 page novel and I have not read the first two. Saying that, I now want to!
Enjoy! I did.

The Fight for Human Souls

Wraith: Garbageman: Book Three by Erik Dean is a splendid continuation in the Garbageman supernatural and adventuresome tale of an individual with incredible telekinetic powers.

I had the pleasurable opportunity of reading the first book in the series and I must say this third book of the trilogy does not disappoint. Similar to the first book of the series it is sometimes fun, always exciting and continues to relate a story about evil versus good and utilizes an unlikely hero to save the day.

In book one, the enemy was flesh and blood. In this book it develops a worthy evil spiritual nemesis that somehow inhabits the physical body of others and creates mayhem, destruction and violence towards others.

Added to the mystery is an attending physician who helps facilitate the death of loved ones who are afflicted with terminal illnesses. Their soul, as they pass on into the spiritual realm are visible to the loved ones attending the procedure.

And so this process coupled with further dark mysteries of the afterlife result in a formidable foe to be encountered by the Garbageman. This foe is known as the wraith and this evil force is ripping out the souls of the living and replacing them with evil spirits do to its bidding.

Wraith: Garbageman: Book Three by Erik Dean is a wonderfully done sequel that will surely capture the attention and imagination of the reader. It is a horror story with many surprising twists and turns and will most certainly keep the reader on the edge of their favorite reading chair as the fight for human souls unfolds.

I haven’t read the first two books, but the author does a good job of getting the reader up to speed with relevant history. Though it took a few chapters for a picture come completely into focus, I did get the sense of a story on a solid trajectory and soon had an understanding of the plot.
There were a couple of editing errors, but as a self published/self edited author myself, I don’t ding stars for minor editing errors. I didn’t find them particularly distracting.
This a fast paced, and imaginative story. The characters were a tad shallow, with good guys being too pure and bad guys completely irredeemable. Even so I found myself liking our protagonists for their devotion to each other and their bravery.
As I said earlier, this is an imaginative tale, with fascinating landscapes and obstacles. This is fantasy, and the story is fantastic. I did drop a star because about midway through, it almost felt like a board game as Mike and company were given a map of the obstacles between them and their goal. In all fairness, others may find this the most appealing aspect of the story. I just have to go with my gut and say that if this genre isn’t your preference, that will likely be distracting enough to lose a star.
At the end of the day, I enjoyed the story and found it very much worth my time. I highly recommend this book to fans of fantasy. It’s worth the read for fans of other genres as well.

I must confess that I bought this book because its cover really mesmerized me. I was pleasantly surprised! It is one of those books that leaves you shaking with fear.
Wraith is the third book in a series called Garbageman written by Erik Dean, a multi-award winning author. He is a fan of horror stories.
David has telekinetic powers but when a ghost from the past begins to hunt down his family and friends, his powers will not be enough to defeat it. He must enlist the help of Detective Stanton and an eccentric physician and inventor to chase this poltergeist. Can this trio stop this evil ghost?
The author has a fresh and quite natural style to narrate. He has an eloquent imagination and does an excellent job when developing the characters. I love how Erik seems to have the perfect balance between romance, fear and suspense.
The reading is enjoyable and engaging. The plot has many unexpected twists that keep you in constant tension. It is a captivating story that from the beginning presents us with an atmosphere of mystery and terror.
I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good read and even more so if you are a fan of horror books. I can't wait to read the previous two books in this series.

“Wraith” is a Paranormal – Horror story written by Erik Dean, an American multi-award-winning author. This story is about a young man, with superpowers, who reunites with his family and friends after 14 years. But this reunion is not all roses, what they don´t know is that something wants to hunt them. David needs the help of Stanton, an eccentric and weird doctor. Can they stop the Wraith?
Being the third book of the Garbageman trilogy, “Wraith” has it all; characters with super powers, ghosts and unexpected twists. This is a middle-length book with more or less 300 pages divided into 24 chapters. Erik Dean is a great storyteller, who described the characters and the setting in such a way that I cannot stop reading.
I really enjoy reading this Paranormal-horror story. Each chapter is more exciting than the last one. I got the chills so many times that I was glued to the pages while I was reading. I will probably recommend this book to young adults who like paranormal horror stories.

I have to admit that the first thing that called my attention was the cover of this book and when I read the description I knew that it was what I was looking for. “Wraith” is the name of this amazing book. It was written by Erik Dean. It is the third book in the Garbageman Series. Part suspense, part drama and part horror story, this novel will leave you breathless and anxious to know what will happen next. I read it at the edge of my seat.

The story is narrated in the third person. It tells the story of David who has telekinetic powers. In a funeral, his family and friends are united again but what they didn’t know was that their lives would change forever.

This book is divided into twenty-four parts; one is more terrifying than the last one so if I have to choose my favourite part I would say that it is impossible. The narrative structure is simple and this is one of the best things.

Reading this book, you cannot fail to feel frightened. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially to fans of horror stories. It’s a must read!

I have read Wrait: Garbageman by Erik Dane in daytime because I am usually the type of person who get scared esily when I am reading or watching anything that is horror. But guess what? This book still didn't fail to scare me. The creepy yet stunning cover and the opening chapter's title 'Old Friends and a Funeral' alone already made me anticipate what the book could offer.

Th story begins when the main character David attended a funeral which reunited him and his family and friends. Little did they know that it was already the start of their nightmare since creepy things started to happen. I loved the author's writing style in particular. It was easy for me to get lost into the story and feel the essence of the horror genre.

I also loved the setting of the book. It makes the story even more interesting. Not only did the story cover the horrr genre but it also had a touch of fantasy in it which made it even more appealing. It was a great horror book and one that you would love to indulge if you are in the mood for it.

Erik Dean is the writer of this addictive series called Garbageman. In his book three, Wraith, the main character, named David, together with his close friends and his family, face an unknown and invisible enemy. Not even David’s powers can stop the murders from happening.
The writer is unique in creating suspense and making us feel trapped in this ghost story. The plot, the descriptions of the characters, the perfect setting, AND the details included in the story make this book impossible to put down. The story develops in 24 chapters organized in 250 pages.
Though the reading is not complicated, mainly because of the easy-to-follow language employed, I recommend readers to sit down and pay attention to the juicy details in the novel.
In my opinion, this book should be read by both, teenagers and adults. I also recommend reading the previous books to get a more accurate understanding of the whole story.

“Wraith” by Eric Dean is the third book of the chilling series Garbageman. This series started with Garbageman, followed by Cryptic.
In this book, we encounter David again, fourteen years later, when he and his family meet to attend a funeral. What they don’t know is that soon their lives will be at risk when an invisible menace hunts them down. David joins forces with the clever Detective Stanton and the eccentric Dr Donovan to stop this ghostly enemy. To make things worse, Hellann might have escaped from prison. The mysterious Garbageman appears again, will they be able to stop the Wraith?
This is a spine-tingling, full of suspence fantasy novel seasoned with all the ingredients of a hair-raising story: bucketfuls of blood and out-of-this-world fights, well-developed and realistic characters, and mysterious occurrences and events.
Don’t miss it! And if I were you , I would follow the writer’s advice and read this book with the lights on.

David and Julie have come a long way in the novel Wraith since the Garbageman series began. Erik Dean turns up the heat when an old enemy of David's is rumored to have returned from the dead. David joins forces with a quirky doctor that invents gadgets that protects from evil spirits and his detective friend, Stanton. While this trio travels to the lower levels of Hell, their friends and family must protect each other from a dark power stalking them from without.

Erik Dean has pulled out all stops with Wraith: Garbageman: Book Three. I found this novel spooked and fascinated me. I hung to every word as the story developed into a complex web of intriguing characters from human form to spirit form, creative inventions, and a bond that connected these characters to each other, dead or alive. This was definitely the best of the trilogy, but the buildup of the other two is what made this one. Looking forward to more from this author.

An excellent ghost story and scary book.

What a scary story! Again, this is another great piece of work by Erik Dean. “Wraith: Garbageman” is the book n° 3 in this creepy series. For sure, it will keep you at the edge throughout the reading.
The story revolves around David, his family and friends who reunite again at a funeral. Unfortunately, their lives become haunted by somebody or something and they must remain altogether if they want to keep on living.
As I mentioned before, this book will catch your attention and maintain it from the start up to the end. It is so well-described and set that makes you feel immersed in this petrifying story. Each character is well-developed and delineated in the tale. What I liked most about it is the author´s writing style since the reading flows really well and it held my attention throughout. I am definitely giving it 5 stars out of 5 because it hooked me from the start. I thoroughly recommend it!

“Wraith” is the third book in the Garbageman Series, which entertains fans of science fiction, horror and medical thrillers. In this one, multi-award-winning author Erik Dean continues delighting his readers with the story of David, a young man with telekinetic powers.
After fourteen years, a funeral brings David’s family and his friends together, and they must fight against a vengeful ghost. But David will need the help of Stanton and an eccentric doctor and inventor. Can they stop this malicious Phantom?
This amazing plot will leave you on the edge of your seat with every turn of the page. This new character, Dr. Donovan, and also the development of Hellann, who apparently has escaped from Hell’s prison, are great for this gripping story. The author has done a fantastic job with these twists and turns that make the tale even more interesting and difficult to put down.
All in all, I strongly recommend it to everyone who likes the mystery and thriller genre.

Wraith: Garbageman Book Three by Erik Dean is a great continuation of this series. If you haven't read the first two books in the series, do so, they are that good. This is a well put together book with entertaining and hardcore characters as well as a plot that keeps you guessing. The protagonists stick together as they join forces to root out evil. While some of the characters may seem shallow, pretty much black and white renditions of good and evil, this is still a great read and one that keeps you interested. Plenty of obstacles come up in the story and there is an abundance of challenges that must be overcome, keeping this story appealing. The fantasy aspect is well rendered and will appeal to those readers who enjoy that especially. Overall, an enticing read and one that will keep you up at night. Highly recommend.

As soon as I saw the cover I knew I want to read this book. “Wraith: Garbageman” is the third book in a series written by Erik Dean, multi-award winning author.
Something is haunting David’s family after a funeral that reunite them. Although he has telekinetic powers he will need the help of detective Stanton and an eccentric doctor and inventor.
This is a book to read at the edge of your seat or better, in bed with the sheets on and the lights on. The narrative details in this tale are perfect. Descriptions are meticulously thought about and put into paper. Characters are very well crafted and developed. The author writing style is very good. It is the first book that I read from him but I will now go for the others in this series.
All in all, a perfect scary tale that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I will surely recommend reading it.

Wraith: Garbageman is the third book of the series by Erik Dean. Even though I haven’t read the other two, I think the author managed to put readers up to speed with this story. Once I was aware of everything that was happening, I got caught in the characters' lives, their actions, and the good and evil fight. It’s a very fast paced reading and one of the reasons is that you want to know what is going to happened next while obstacles start coming up.

With David's gift , his family, his doctor, and the detective are going to join forces to face a very angry and terrifying ghost that came on a killing spree. They will have to face and overcome many challenges, keeping us focus but also scared at the same time.

I’ve always like supernatural stories and this one became one of my favorites. And as the author said; don’t forget to read it with the light on!

This amazing book is the third one of a supernatural and fantastic series. Written in a dialogue-based form, this release by Erik Dean is extremely well written and easy to follow through.

It is a thrilling ghost story that revolves around a strong male character, David, and his family. All the different characters are depicted in a way that would make any type of reader feel attached to the storyline and believe they are characters themselves.

This fictional tale is addressed to fans of horror, but it is definitely a great pick for anyone interested in reading something entertaining. The narrative details are just perfect.

Each one of the 24 chapters is more eventful and terrifying than the last one. I have been hooked right by reading the first chapter and could not stop until I was able to figure out what finally occurred to the family. I absolutely recommend it.

Supernatural ghost battle.

I have not read the first two books in this series but after reading this one I will go back and check them out also. Story is about David, his family and friends, along with a very angry ghost on a killing spree. David has telekinesis ability and combine that with the doctor and detective Stantons eccentric cunning they may have a chance to kill this ghost and still survive. This story is wrapped in evil and served up for your reading pleasure. I have always been a fan of supernatural and this one is a great one. Take this journey through hell and see if our trio can come out on the other side or if they will perish in a ball of flame. Check this one out folks. It is a great read and a real page turner.

Scene after Scenes were perfect - Not a Read for the Faint-Hearted

I've not had an opportunity to read Erik Dean's past Garbageman past series but, I catch on really quickly in Wraith: Garbageman three. From the beginning to the end of this book, the excitement and action is high. The death of one's comrade brought all persons together. The unseen guest plotted his plan... I'm not gonna say anymore. This book is riveting and action-packed. Each character was well described and their role well executed.

I will like to see this series on the screens. Although there were some errors, it did not take away from the hype of this book. My favorite Character - The Doctor... A mastermind...

The best book I've read that, I have never been this excited to see how the book will end.

Erik Dean, I tip my hat to you.. What a stunning book. I am awaiting Garbageman 4... Hurry up Already!!
