Nova's story is more than unique but when I tried to connect with her, I felt, I am Nova, anyone and everyone is Nova. While picking this book, I thought it will only give me chilling vibes, of course it started so spooky and I never wanted to keep it down while reading but as the book proceeds and as everything started to unfold, I realized the book is much more than I thought it would be, it's a deep emotional tale with a lot of happenings and twists, a story which has the ability to tilt your mind and heart, break you and mend your soul too. I can't get over both the characters whether it's Nova or Jake, they just feel so close to my heart. It was definitely a very gripping read as at parts I was curious about the thrill and at parts, I felt like hugging Nova. . . The last chapter is one of my most favorite chapter and the hand written note, it has my heart, at times we lose ourselves, Nova will surely help you in finding your lost self, I truly connected with her. I will highly recommend it to everyone. . Rating: 4.5🌟
Nova is the first novel that I have read written by the author Amber Williamson. The story is set in a small town of Rosewood. It's a town that has only one road in and out of this town so you can imagine how small it is. The protagonist of the story are Nova Winters and Jake Tyler. They grew up together as childhood sweethearts. Everything was alright between the two before freshman year.
But since the freshman year, Nova started to ignore Jake and he didn't know why. Jake tried many times to talk to Nova but she didn't open up. One day, she bid goodbye to Jake and went away. Later, Jake found the first notecard that seems to be from Nova. Why Nova has left and where? What does she mean by "help me and this town"? Read this intriguing story to get answers to all your questions.
This is an interesting story that will grip your attention. The plot of the book is constructed very well. Characters are also well developed and introduced. Cover page of the book is simple and title is short and sweet. This is the kind of book that you can read in two sittings. Amazing story that made my day.
💌Nova is the first novel I have read by author Amber Williamson. The story is set in a small town of Rosewood. There are two main characters in the story - Nova Winters and Jake Tyler. They grew up together as childhood sweethearts. Nova was everything to Jake. He trusted her without needing to, regardless of time spent away from each other. He knew that he would do anything for her, he just didn't know how much that meant. Everything was alright between the two before freshman year because after that Nova started to ignore Jake without letting him know the reason.
💌One day, she bid goodbye to Jake and went away. Her missing mystery leaves the town in chaos. Later, Jake found the cryptic notecard written by Nova herself. This sends him on a spiraling journey, filled with adventure, secrets, and heartbreak. He went on a journey to find the truth, unfolding many hidden secrets. In a town like this when there is no one left to trust, who can he look to for help? Will Jake be able to find the truth? Why Nova has left and where? What does she mean by "help me and this town"?
💌This is a very interesting story with great characters, apart from these two main characters, there are other characters too and they all played their role very well. There are parts where I can connect with Nova and that's the most beautiful quality of any character building in the story, if you can connect with the character, you can connect with the story. I liked the plot and all the twists and turns in the story are really good to read. The cover of the book is really sweet and simple. In the Author's note, author mentioned that "each character had faults because she didn’t wanted any of them to be seen as the hero protagonist" and that's really a unique thing in the story. Overall its an amazing book to read❤️
𝑴𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: Nova is a different story that happens in a small town Rosewood. It is a town where not many people come in and not many people go out of this town. Story revolves around the teenagers Jake Tyler and Nova Winters. Jake is in the beginning of senior year in school. He is in relationship with Charlotte from past six months but Jake didn't feel for her the way he feels for Nova.
Nova and Jake were childhood friends. Nova's elder brother Atus Winters is a teacher and he is taking care of her sister. Nova's mother died when she was nine years old and her father left their family when she was born. Jake's family considers Nova and Atus as their family. In the freshman year things went wierd with Nova. She started ignoring Jake and kept her life as a mystery. One day Nova came to Jake to say that she is leaving and going to Home. Jake found a note in his bag pocket with a star on it that Nova used to make in their childhood. What is there in the note? Unveil the suspense yourself.
The story started bit slow for first few pages but when Nova came into the picture, it picked pace. Jake being a guy sometimes cry but that is okay. Even guys have the right to express their feelings. Warren and Maddie's character also plays a great role. The story is very interesting. Language of the book is easy with smooth narration. However, little editing is needed. A great story that will stay in your head for longer. This is a unique story recommended for teenagers.
I love reading stories that involves childhood sweethearts. Nova is a story revolving around senior year students. Jake Tyler is the main character who was in love with Nova Winters. Jake found Nova beautiful with pale skin and dark hair. They knew each other since their childhood and have grown up together. One day Nova left the town and gave a notecard to Jake. As Jake goes on an adventure searching for secrets, what he will come across? Are there more notes and more secrets?
My Review: 1) Cover page of the book is simple. 2) Language of the book is easy and comfortable. 3) Narration style of the author is remarkable and seems mature. 4) Plot is unique and intriguing. 5) Characterization was stunning throughout the book even though there were so many characters. 6) Pace of the story was fine.
The overall story is wonderful and readers will enjoy it for sure. A nice story especially for weekend reading so you can binge read it.
